Very Disappointing Experience – Poor Service and Unfair Charges Extremely disappointed with this hotel and its staff. We had an approved late checkout, yet we were still charged extra without any clear communication or explanation. The staff were unprofessional, and the information they provided was misleading. To make matters worse, we were charged for minibar items that we never used. When we raised our concerns, the team was unhelpful and failed to provide a reasonable explanation. It feels like this hotel is more interested in charging guests extra than providing good customer service. The lack of transparency and poor communication made our stay very frustrating. I would not recommend this hotel. Be extremely careful and double-check your final bill before leaving.

I want to thank Kiara for her time. I'm not even a guest at the hotel and she was immensely helpful. I stopped by to ask about the Veuve Garden take over and Kiara walked me through the space, shared the menu with me, and made sure I understood the reservation process. The space is beautiful and the atmosphere is top-notch with the level of professionalism and kindness exuded by the individuals like Kiara who work here. Thank you!
For sure, it is as chic as it gets. It is simply fun to get inside this hotel, they are nice and welcoming, the design is stunning. Who wouldn't love floor to ceiling windows as part of your magnificent room?. Location is perfect as well. infact the only thing that isn't superb is maintenance, as with pretty much any other aging hotel, it could be a bit more better kept. The restaurant should make sure its avocado toast is at least on par with that of other restaurants nearby, currebtly it isn't. Anyway, highly recommended, just cool.
MINUS ⭐ 1 Star The staff at The Standard were friendly, polite, and genuinely courteous. Unfortunately, great customer service alone cannot overcome poor food quality and poor execution. When you’re paying premium prices for a room, you expect a breakfast experience that reflects that investment. Instead, we experienced long wait times, only to receive the wrong order when the food finally arrived. The meal itself was disappointing, lacked quality, and certainly did not justify the cost. A friendly smile is appreciated, but it doesn’t make up for cold, incorrect, or poorly prepared food. The Standard needs to focus less on appearances and more on delivering the quality and service guests are paying for. Sadly, this breakfast experience fell well below expectations.
The Standard was INCREDIBLE. The manager (Kimberly) and her staff were unbelievably helpful in getting us checked in, and every employee went out of their way to make sure that our needs were met. Our room (11th floor) had a panoramic view of the city, the bathroom was excpetionally large, and the bed was super comfortable. My wife and I were attending a wedding at a nearby hotel (Bowery) and so we had booked the Standard so that we would be close, but honestly I would go back again in a heartbeat as we had such an incredible experience. Absolutely worth staying.
