We absolutely loved our stay at Sound View Greenport\! The scenery is incredible—the hotel sits right on the Long Island Sound, and having the private beach and waterfront views right outside your room makes the experience feel like a true getaway\. The amenities were fantastic, from the private beach and pool to the cruiser bikes, daily breakfast, Nespresso coffee in the room, and all the little touches that make it easy to relax and enjoy the property\. The front desk team was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay\. Adrian at the concierge was especially wonderful—friendly, attentive, and always happy to offer recommendations or assist with anything we needed\. His thoughtful service made us feel genuinely cared for\. Taylor, the manager, also deserves special recognition\. Taylor was gracious, professional, and clearly committed to making sure every guest had an exceptional experience\. Her attention to detail and personal touch made our stay even more memorable\. And the food was a huge highlight\. The Halyard was excellent, with fresh, locally sourced seafood and seasonal dishes, and the views from the waterfront deck were the perfect setting for dinner\. The Piano Bar and the beachside options add even more to the experience, especially around sunset\. Between the beautiful rooms, incredible waterfront scenery, great food, relaxing atmosphere, and outstanding service from the front desk, Adrian at the concierge, and Taylor, the manager\. Sound View is the kind of place where you can arrive and immediately feel like you’re on vacation\. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend it!

Stretching along the shores of the Long Island Sound, this property manages to strike the ultimate balance: nostalgic, classic beach-motel soul paired with elevated modern design and top-tier hospitality. The Rooms & Vibe: The design here is incredible - think minimalist, modernist beach-house vibes with warm cedar paneling and thoughtful details. The best part? Step right out of your room and you're practically on the sand. Waking up to the sound of gentle waves and stepping out onto a private waterfront deck with a morning coffee is pure magic. Some suites even feature private hot tubs or saunas! Amenities & On-Site Experience: There is so much to do right on property without ever feeling crowded: Private Beach Access: Walk right onto the shoreline or sit around a beachside bonfire under the stars. Food & Drink: Having The Halyard right on site for incredible farm-to-table seafood is a huge perk, but casual spots like Jack’s Shack and the outdoor Low Tide Bar keep daytime hangs completely effortless. Evening Charm: The intimate Piano Bar is the ultimate late-night lounge for craft cocktails and live music. The Location: Situated just minutes from downtown Greenport, it’s the ideal base camp for exploring North Fork vineyards, local farmstands, and boutique shopping. Yet, because every room opens out to the Sound, it feels like a private, quiet sanctuary. Whether you're planning a romantic weekend getaway, a coastal wine-tasting trip, or just need to trade city noise for ocean air, Sound View Greenport is a 10/10. We already can't wait to book our next stay! I don't know why this place doesn't have higher reviews. Truly incredible, especially for the price that we paid.

The most incredible stay. I’ve stayed at hotels all over the world, and this was truly one of my all-time favorites. The views are absolutely breathtaking, the hospitality is unmatched, and every member of the staff went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. The food was incredible, showcasing the best local ingredients, and every detail throughout the hotel felt so intentional and thoughtfully curated. I was genuinely blown away by the entire experience. The team works incredibly hard, and it shows. Mark is an outstanding leader whose passion is evident in every aspect of the hotel. Taylor was so warm, helpful, and personable, and Kobe provided exceptional service. Sound View is so fortunate to have such an amazing team. I can’t wait to come back.

One of our favorite family vacations ever. Yes, the location is absolutely stunning, the views over the Long Island Sound are incredible, but what made this stay truly unforgettable was everything beyond the scenery. The team made us feel connected to Greenport in a way we’ve rarely experienced at a hotel. They arranged for us to spend a day at KK’s Farm, where we became “farmers for a day,” giving our family a chance to experience the area in such a unique and memorable way. I started my mornings with yoga by the pool, while our evenings ended with the kids making s’mores on the beach as the sun set. Some of our favorite memories came from the people we met. We chatted with local artists and residents over breakfast, sang karaoke together at the piano bar, and enjoyed an incredible dinner at The Halyard, where the staff shared stories about the nearby farms supplying many of the ingredients on our plates. We left with wonderful memories, a deeper appreciation for the area, and already talking about when we’ll come back.
