We had an excellent stay with 17 John! The hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was clean/spacious, came with a kitchenette w/ dishes & everything we needed. Felt like an apartment rather than a regular hotel. The staff was friendly, accommodating, & the location was perfect with a lot of restaurants/shopping within walking distance. Definitely coming back when I travel to NYC again.
We had a fabulous time. Great door and desk service, room was beautiful and furnished with everything we needed. Water pressure and temperature was great in the shower too. Slept well and good binds to keep light out plus the neighborhood was pretty quiet. Fast and easy access to the subways. Lots of good food and hangouts in the area, but also great jumping off point for all sorts of aight seeing.
Honestly fantastic and impressive stay especially for the price in comparison to most hotels in the same area!! Entire room was very well maintained, clean, smelled good, soaps also smelled amazing- super awesome that the showers have a detachable shower head. Staff was friendly and attentive and yeah honestly no complaints!!! Great views as well! I stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment and it was so spacious which i really appreciated, and the rooms were generally pretty soundproof as well! My room also had an espresso machine, washer&dryer, a pretty full kitchen with a dishwasher included, and all 3 of the flatscreens were smart TV’s which is incredible. Exceptional stay and when I visit NYC I will absolutely be choosing 17John again!!!
The 17 John was amazing! It was a very large space, huge working area, comfortable dining area and a full kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and the black out shades were a life saver. The full kitchen was a nice touch. I was able to DoorDash several items to have on hand during my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel. NYC hotels are tiny and this was more than comfortable. I will stay here in the future.
### Google Review I stayed at the hotel for a 3.5-week business trip, and overall, I had a very positive experience. The location is absolutely excellent — right next to Fulton subway station, which made it incredibly easy and efficient to get anywhere we needed, from Brooklyn and New Jersey to different parts of Manhattan. **Location: 10/10.** The street and surrounding area are pleasant, with plenty of places to eat nearby, and you can reach most parts of the city within a short subway ride. Regarding the service, the booking process was a little difficult at first. However, once we were connected directly with the management team because we were a group booking, everything went smoothly. The team was very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay and assisted us with everything we needed. One downside is the check-in time. 4 PM is quite late compared to most hotels I’ve stayed at, and even early check-in at 2 PM comes with an additional fee, which still isn’t particularly early. Other than that, the hotel staff were always friendly and helpful, and there was always someone available when we needed assistance. For a longer stay, the room setup was especially convenient. Having a kitchen, a workspace, and laundry facilities made a huge difference during our 3.5-week stay. In terms of value for money, as a private traveler I probably wouldn’t choose to pay this much for a hotel. However, for a business trip, I found the price reasonable considering the location, facilities, and overall experience. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for longer business stays. I’d be happy to stay here again.
