We had 2 rooms for 2 nights. In one room, the wood floor was peeling off throughout the room and was missing in several places. The AC unit was extraordinarily loud. Interstate road noise was bothersome. In the other room, one of the beds had blood spots on the comforter. I asked the housekeeper to replace the bedding as we left for an all-day event. The bedding was replaced, but should never have been there. I did not have time to address these issues with the front desk, as we had somewhere to go. For the price, shabbier than I would have expected. We stayed at this property 16 months ago, with no issues.

Unfortunately, Hotel Trilogy Albany Airport, Tapestry Collection by Hilton was a disappointing stay for us. I’d give it about 3 stars, and even that is primarily because there were some acceptable aspects of the property. The showers were one of the biggest problems—they were horrible and definitely not what I expect from a Tapestry Collection property. We also encountered towels that appeared dirty, which immediately raises concerns about housekeeping and attention to detail. The beds were uncomfortable, and the flooring throughout the room felt cheap and appeared to have areas of water damage. On top of that, there was an unpleasant smell in the hotel that made the entire property feel less fresh and clean than it should. I stay at Hilton properties expecting a certain level of comfort and quality, and this location simply didn’t meet those expectations. Tapestry Collection hotels are usually positioned as distinctive, more upscale properties, but our experience here didn’t reflect that. There’s definitely potential, but the hotel needs attention to housekeeping, the showers, bedding, flooring, and the overall smell of the property before I would consider staying again. 3 stars.
***See below for update*** I recently stayed at Hotel Trilogy Albany Airport, Tapestry Collection by Hilton (254 Wolf Rd, Latham, NY), and had one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever encountered at a Hilton property. After reporting the poor room condition—including unsanitary toiletries, visible dirt, and overall lack of cleanliness—the Assistant General Manager, Charles Berg, responded in a way that was dismissive, unprofessional, and inappropriate. When I calmly raised concerns, his comments included: “You’re difficult.” “What do you want me to do?” “I don’t want you to bother the morning staff.” “Don’t you have anything better to do with your time?” “Good luck, have fun.” This level of disrespect is unacceptable, especially from hotel leadership. Instead of addressing the legitimate issues with the room, he chose to belittle the situation and speak to me in a condescending tone. The combination of the room’s condition and the AGM’s behavior made the stay extremely disappointing and far below Hilton standards. I hope Hilton reviews this incident seriously, as guests deserve professionalism, respect, and a clean room—none of which were provided during this visit. ***7/15/26 update*** The owner, Daniel, contacted me personally about this situation to ensure he resolved my concerns and offered for me to contact him personally when I return so he can make things right again. He did not ask me to update this review, but I am updating it as he deserves recognition for the follow up and follow through. As the owner, he takes pride and responsibility in ensuring the staff is appropriately trained and guests have a pleasant experience and this speaks volumes in a positive way. Thank you
Nice hotel. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The close proximity to the airport and the Northway makes it a perfect place to stay when you have an early morning flight. The hotel bar was great, we had a great conversation with the bar tender and a couple of local regulars. The room was clean, well stocked, and in generally good repair except for a bit of moisture damage in bathroom.
I had a fantastic stay at the Hotel Trilogy. The location is incredibly convenient for anyone traveling through ALB, as it is just minutes away from the airport. Despite the proximity to the runway, the rooms were quiet and soundproofed well. The hotel itself has a unique, boutique feel that sets it apart from standard airport hotels. The decor is modern and stylish, and the entire property felt fresh and very clean. The team at the front desk was welcoming and efficient during check-in. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone needing a place to stay in Latham or near the Albany airport. It is a step above the usual chains.
