We stayed here from 19 February to 24 February 2025. The room is clean and tidy, and the location is excellent. We can walk to many attractions, and the subway system is also very well developed, so getting around is not a problem. The only downside is that we often have to wait a long time for the elevators. Other than that, everything is great.

Unlike my experience at another Hilton property in New York, everything here was excellent. The room was small and compact, but at the same time very cozy and comfortable. Everything was exceptionally clean, there were plenty of towels, and the bed linen was excellent. It was genuinely pleasant to stay in the room. The service deserves special praise. Because of a flight delay, I arrived at the hotel at around 5:00 AM. Despite such a late arrival, I was checked in very quickly, without a single question or any problems. Later, a staff member also helped me find a package that had been delivered to the hotel about a day before my arrival. I really appreciated the help. The service was excellent. The lobby is located on the second floor, which is quite unusual, but I actually liked this setup. It also gives an additional sense of security. Since the hotel is right in the city center, you never know who might walk in from the street, and here random people cannot simply enter directly into the main lobby and guest areas. I did not encounter any uncomfortable situations in this regard during my stay. There are three elevators, and I almost never had to wait long for one. The only real disappointment was breakfast. The selection was extremely limited — basically sausages, scrambled eggs, croissants, and just a few other items. There was very little to choose from. In my opinion, there is absolutely no need to book this hotel with breakfast included. It is better to book a room without breakfast and eat somewhere nearby. Apart from that, my experience was extremely positive. A clean and cozy room, excellent bed linen, plenty of towels, effortless check-in even at 5:00 AM, and staff who were genuinely willing to help. After a disappointing experience at another Hilton property in New York, this hotel provided exactly the level of service I normally expect from Hilton. I would happily stay here again.
The staff was incredibly kind and aligned with the Hilton brand. The location is a bit challenging as are most things in NYC so no big deal. Very unfortunate layout in this old building, however. Everything was very small and awkward. The elevators are inadequate for a building of this size. The bed was very comfortable but the bathroom and shower left a lot to be desired. The shower was so small there was barely room to turn around. The attached restaurant was truly delicious for dinner; Highly recommend that experience! Breakfast in the restaurant was fine but not worth the price and it’s too small to handle that many people. Overall, this is an ok place to stay but don’t expect much and be ready to be frustrated with some things. I know that hotels in NYC are hard but this property needs some help to truly align with other Hilton properties.
I stayed here after discovering a rat in my Airbnb. I was having a horrible morning and I arrived at this DoubleTree and the service was amazing. I went early to drop off my bag because I was way too early for check in. The man at the front suggested I go check if there’s a room available for early check-in so I did. When I got to the front desk, Venetta (I hope I remember her name correctly, forgive me) was so helpful and kind. It was really refreshing after what I had to deal with the morning before. Venetta signed me up for Hilton Honors and explained so many benefits that come with being a member, like early check-in and Lyft points. She also gave me complimentary snacks and water that were delightful. I really really appreciated her and hope that this review goes a long way toward her development in the company. She is doing wonders at that front desk and I think that everyone could learn a lot from her service and knowledge. If I ever need somewhere to stay in the city or need to recommend a place, this location is great and nearby many train lines. I never get around to writing reviews but I don’t take genuine kindness lightly. Thank you Venetta! I hope this message gets back to you, you are appreciated.
Stayed here for a week in January and it was my first time in the US. I have booked the king room and it was lovely. The room was spacious and the bed was big enough for a decent night of sleep 👍literally same standard room as any other hotel we have here in Europe. Would definitely book again if I fancied another round in NYC ✅
