A crappy hotel for the price tag. While the bathroom is renovated, the toilet leaked and needed a technician. The water would make whistling noise when used, including from other rooms with the sound coming through. The room itself was in a need of renovation. Tiny cramped corridors. The hotel also overcharged me by not including the initial deposit into the bill, and I had no response to the email querying it. Lastly, the hotel charges a facility fee which is unnecessary, offering either a breakfast credit or use of the sugar/chip items in the room that credit can be used for. Just about the only positive thing was the location, which is convenient. Would not stay here again. This is a 2-3 star at best.

My 3rd time as a guest here at the Walker Hotel Greenwich Village. My niece lives just around the corner, so when I am visiting from California, this is my favorite place to stay while visiting. It truly feels like I am returning home each time. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they were now offering room service and along with the daily food credit, I enjoyed my guiltiest pleasure my entire stay. Staff is beyond friendly and welcoming, and I was even pleasantly surprised that the private car service they offered was less than a taxi upon my return to JFK.
Great location! Nestled on a quiet street in Greenwich Village. The hotel was gorgeous, relaxing, and incredibly accommodating. The Walker was our “home base” for getting our daughter set up for her freshman year at NYU. It's was just a 20 minute walk to the campus and convenient to grocery stores and restaurants. The room was spacious (for New York) and very comfortable. My only comment would be the lack of counter and storage space in the bathroom. There was just a little wall shelf for deodorant, toothbrush and other small toiletries. Not a deal breaker. We'll definitely be back -- thanks for making our trip memorable.
The definition of hospitality. We spent our marraige ceremony night here and it was an exceptional experience. The staff was amazing. We had lunch at Society Cafe before checking it and it was so great, we ended up not even leaving the hotel for dinner. The live jazz was a great touch we sat in the lobby for probably 2-3 hours. Breakfast the next day was even better than lunch the previous day, I had the steak and eggs and before I knew it, it was gone lol. We've already decided this is the place we'll go if we spend out anniversaries in NYC.
We had an excellent experience during our entire 8/6-8/9 wedding stay. The hotel itself is lovely, and the staff friendly and accommodating. Isabel, Lauren and Jake, as well as the manager of the Society Cafe (sorry, I forget her name) , worked with me to book rooms (at an excellent NYC price), and did their best to accommodate last minute requests. The link and code were challenging for some guests to navigate. But a email resolved this issue. The rooms are slightly smaller than the norm, but laid out well, and the bathrooms oversized. I would add some storage to the bathrooms if I were to redesign. We had guests and the bridal party (free upgrade, beautiful room and complimentary champagne) occupy sixteen rooms and everyone was very happy. Our post wedding brunch was very good and, as everyone says, you can’t beat the central location. I look forward to returning soon.
