The hotel's restaurant, Perrine, offers seasonal modern American cuisine with daily specials inspired by Pierre culinary classics. The hotel also offers a bar/lounge, Two E, with traditional afternoon tea by day and live jazz by night every Thursday through Saturday. Located at the intersection of Midtown and the Upper East Side, white gloved elevator attendants, a Les Clefs d'Or concierge team and trained housekeepers help maintain the quality of service. The Pierre offers a variety of exclusive experiences for young travelers as well. A host of child-friendly amenities await - from special treats to movies, toys and special museum passes on demand. The Museum Mile is 1.7 mi away. The Central Park Zoo is a short walk from the hotel, and the Concierge team can work with their partners at the Central Park Conservancy to organize special experiences for children. On arrival at the hotel, The Pierre requires a credit card pre-authorization to cover the value of your stay plus $200 per day to cover additional incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check-out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged.

The room was spacious and quiet, a minor miracle in Manhattan. I loved the old luxury and timelessness of the hotel. The staff are particularly wonderful, especially at the front desk. The man who helped us (I thought I heard Suresh or Suraj, but I forgot before i could write this review) was wonderful at both check in and check out.
We stayed during a medical emergency to be closer to Mt Sinai and it was a stressful time for us, but to be met with such calm and kindness was a mercy. I also loved that they have Santa Maria Novella in the rooms (and a store in the lobby).
My husband and I stayed here for 5 days and it was a spectacular experience. The service is just impeccable at this hotel. Not only is there room service twice a day but there is live jazz every night at the lounge which serves wonderful cocktails. Maurice was incredibly helpful by booking us a dinner reservation and couldn’t have suggested a better restaurant. Paul, our bar tender, offered a tasting of some tequila that started our whole visit off with a bang. We will be returning and can’t wait until next time. Thank you to all the staff.
This hotel was an amazing experience from start to finish. Perfect location, incredible service, delicious food, and wonderful ambiance. We especially loved Adele, the chauffeur, Leonardo, in Conceriege, Khady keeping watch over the elevator and always blighting our day, and Ash at check in and check out. We appreciated the special touches - bringing my 12 year old - she felt like royalty and wants to return. I have to agree and hope we can make this hotel a tradition for us for years to come.
The Hotel Pierre has changed and for the better! Reversing my previous vow that I would not return I booked a room and took my nephew to visit New York.
I understand the management has changed. The staff, from the concierges to the front desk to the maid service made such a positive impression on us that I decided to share our experience. The room was a 61st street view. It was properly sized for two. The room was immaculately clean with twin beds and a bathroom with a shower and a bath tub. The air conditioning was very good and adjustable in the room.
The staff was outgoing and pleasant - eager to greet, engage in conversation and assist with guest needs. Leonardo, our concierge, arranged all our restaurant reservations and was easy to reach via telephone.
The hotel is a classic Manhattan structure - high ceilings in the rooms and elegant throughout. I will definitely be back.
I will admit the hotel does cost a bit more; but, it is truly a five star hotel.

The charm and warmth of their elevator operators might be the best part (last ones in the city!) but it’s a unique and beautifully kept up relic of old New York that I hope stays this way forever. Thank you for making our stay wonderful!
