We stayed at the Gregorian for three days/two nights on the second floor and really enjoyed our stay! We had read all the horror story reviews about the noise from the club downstairs, and yes, you can definitely hear the music lol. The first night it was a little jarring, especially since the club is basically connected to the hotel, but it ended around 1 a.m. and honestly wasn’t as bad as we expected. By the second night, we slept right through it. We actually asked about moving rooms at first, but once we realized we were fine, we called back and told them not to worry about it. I also have to mention how incredibly nice the staff was. Everyone we interacted with was so friendly, gracious, and accommodating. The room itself was super cute, clean, and comfortable, and the bed was really comfy. So yes, the noise reviews are real, especially if you’re on a lower floor, but for us it definitely wasn’t a dealbreaker. We’d happily stay here again!

If we had to be honest with our experience, rooms cleanliness and style would be 4 stars cuz it is quite old fashioned. However, services and hospitality are 5 stars no doubt. Our counter men from front desk gave us multiple paper planes to keep boys concentrated and happiness along the trips. We really cannot ask for more about a hotel to provide a clean environment, good cafe(at first floor), and fantastic hospitality all at once. Thank you for this incredible experience and we will for sure coming back next time.
We travelled from Ireland and had a fantastic stay here. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York. Our room was really spacious especially for New York and we stayed in an O2 room which was perfect for us. The staff were amazing. Every single person we met was so kind so friendly and so helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they really made our stay even better. The location is brilliant. The subway is only a few metres away with easy access to everywhere and Times Square is just a short walk. There are also some great coffee spots nearby which we loved each morning. If we ever come back to New York we would definitely stay here again. Thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcome.
I stayed at The Gregorian for six nights. Overall, the hotel was fine and the location is definitely one of its biggest strengths. It’s very central (although the area is extremely busy) and only a short walk from the subway, which made getting around New York really easy. The bed was large and comfortable, and the room itself felt surprisingly spacious for Manhattan. Unfortunately, there were a few issues that let the stay down. The TV continually reset itself and rarely worked properly. The room door also shook and rattled whenever anyone walked past, although maintenance did fix this after the first night. The biggest disappointment was the bathroom. It was incredibly small, and the bathtub/shower felt very poor quality. It appeared to be a plastic insert that wasn’t properly secured, so it moved under your feet while showering, almost like standing on a waterbed. It felt slippery, unstable and very cheap. It’s also worth noting that there’s no restaurant in the hotel, so there’s no room service or breakfast available. That’s not necessarily a dealbreaker given the location and the number of cafés nearby, but it’s something to be aware of before booking. Overall, if you’re looking for a well-located base with a comfortable bed, it does the job. However, for the price, I expected better room quality and bathroom facilities.
New york manhattan city department have to check and close this rooms I stayed in Room 211 at The Gregorian Hotel, booked through Booking.com for US$350 per night. The first room I was given was extremely small and had no windows at all. It felt more like a storage room or a sauna than a hotel room. There was no indication during booking that I would be staying in a windowless room. After I complained, the hotel moved me to a different room the next day. The new room had windows and was much more comfortable, which confirmed that the original room was not suitable for guests. The hotel manager asked me to remove my review, but I requested a refund for the first night's stay because the room I was originally given was unacceptable. Unfortunately, I have not received a response. I believe guests deserve to know exactly what they are booking. If a room has no windows, this should be clearly disclosed before payment. I hope both The Gregorian Hotel and Booking.com improve their transparency so that future travelers can make informed decisions.
