smallest rooms imaginable, building very very old. I called ahead and let them know. I would be checking in late because of my flight please don't give my king bed away, after promises of don't worry, it's locked in and it's not getting given to anybody else. I arrived to find out of course they gave it away and we're going to shove me in a queen room. No, I'm sorry. No, we're going to compensate you. Nothing I had to argue that I'm paying for a king room and you need to compensate me. Kid about 25 running the desk lots of experience there. They're complementary breakfast is nothing special. I believe there's eggs somewhere but there gone a minute. They're put out not enough food to supply the people in the hotel. No bacon, no pancakes just yogurt, fruit and cereal type things. Elevators are scary and hard to work with your card. Do yourself a favor either find another place to spend a large amount of money because you're not gonna get your moneys worth here or go to a cheaper hotel and you'll get the same thing without the expectation of paying all the money. you're not getting anything for free here even the bottle of water in your room is six dollars.

Great location and nice staff. Rooms were small- not much space but that was expected. Breakfast was plentiful BUT they really should let people know to be wary of the pigeons when sitting outside. If you leave your plate unattended they will take it- and they scared many people. They’ll even also try to steal your food while you’re sitting. HOTEL SHUTTLE WARNING: you can book airport shuttle from the little ‘concierge’ desk. It’s $20 per person. My domestic flight was at 2:28. She tried to talk me into the 11:45 am shuttle that would have us arrive at 12:30. I wanted the 11:15 because she said we’d get there about noon. I’d rather be early. We left around 11:20. My GPS said it would be about 40 mins. HOWEVER- we were the second stop of three for shuttle service. We had to pick up at another spot (Of course traffic is unpredictable and that is nothing new to them. They should really encourage an early shuttle because traffic is unpredictable.) We were not dropped off at our terminal until 12:45!! This poor lovely couple in the van with us had a 1:15 boarding time and told me the concierge tried to convince them for the 11:45 shuttle as well- they may miss their flight as it is but definitely would’ve missed it if they followed the ‘concierge’s’ advice. This was VERY frustrating! …and to add insult to injury there’s a note in the shuttle recommending a 40%-50% tip per person. I was also asked about leaving a tip when I booked- this reflects poorly on the hotel. I included the note with the departure and arrival times I was given.
The gym and breakfast services are great, and the location is really convenient for people who want to see the most popular NYC sights like Times Square, Central Park etc. The one downside is how cramped the rooms are. We found that our room had very little space to pack bags and suitcases for four people. Other than that, the room was very clean and nice.
RUN DOWN LOCATION INACCURATE PICTURES ON THEIR WEBSITE BREAKFAST IS DOG FOOD !DO NOT BOOK HERE ! I am extremely disappointed with my stay. I specifically booked this hotel expecting a newer, clean property and even paid extra for a Terrace Room, but my experience was unacceptable from the moment I arrived. First, it was obvious my room had not been properly cleaned or inspected before check-in. It appeared someone had occupied the room before me, as towels and washcloths were missing, making it clear housekeeping never completed a full turnover. Second, the iron in the room was completely unusable. As someone attending business events, having a working iron is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. The iron wouldn’t heat up, leaked water all over my clothing, and was the cheapest, poorest-quality iron I’ve ever encountered in a hotel. It ruined valuable time while I was trying to prepare. The complimentary breakfast was equally disappointing. I witnessed staff in the kitchen coughing and sneezing without masks while handling food, which was incredibly concerning. The food quality was far below what I expect from this brand. The eggs were inedible, the sausage resembled low-quality hot dogs, and there were very few breakfast options available. It was nothing like the breakfast experience I’ve had at other properties. The biggest disappointment was the room itself. I paid an additional premium for a Terrace Room, expecting an enjoyable view, only to be placed directly in front of an active construction site. Instead of a relaxing terrace experience, I looked at scaffolding and construction. Charging guests extra for a room with an obstructed construction view is misleading and unacceptable. For the premium price charged, this stay delivered none of the quality, cleanliness, or service I expected. Quite honestly, I could have booked an Airbnb for less money and had a far better experience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay warrants one. I hope management takes this seriously, investigates these issues, and reaches out to make this right. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel in its current condition.
Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was only about 3 out of 5. The positives were the decent complimentary breakfast, the spacious lobby with a nice bar (which occasionally had live music), and the location. However, be aware that the surrounding area has quite a few homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks, so depending on which direction you walk, it may not feel very comfortable. The biggest disappointment was our room. We were given what felt like one of the worst rooms in the hotel. It was tucked away in a corner, incredibly small, with barely enough space to walk around the bed. The view overlooked what appeared to be a back alley or service area, and the bathroom was so tiny it felt like a closet. There was almost no place to hang clothes or store our belongings, making the room very inconvenient for more than a night or two. Honestly, this did not feel like the level of quality I expect from a Marriott property. While some guests may have a better experience with a different room, based on ours, I wouldn't choose to stay here again or recommend it.
