Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel By Marriott

Ambassador bonvoy member, first time staying in this hotel (always stayed in Marriott Marquis Times Square previously and get bored). The stop for valet parking service is just on the street, but it works. The reception desk staff are friendly and helpful, providing lots of information proactively i.e. activites around TSQ during our days of stay that might affect our driving plan. The room is spacious in NYC standard, clean and layout is efficient. Hotel location is right in the middle of TSQ, which is great for tourists. The valet parking fee is very high without in/out privilege (but comparable to all other NYC hotels), takes some time for the car to arrive (no onsite parking lot and the congested 7th Ave) but the service is good. Breakfast is buffet type, food are all you can get on the table, not a lot of selections nor high quality ingredients, and no accommodation of making different style of eggs by the kitchen like other Bonvoy hotels. It doesn't justify for a charge of $40 per person + 20% tips breakfast, though it is covered by my membership. Overall, Renaissance Times Square hotel is recommended because of the size of the room, good service and location, and sense of safety provided that a tourist can reasonably get in NYC.

We had a wonderful stay at the Renaissance on 7th Avenue. Jose at checkin was friendly professional and helpful. I appreciated the warm and genuine greeting. The hotel is very nice, clean and esthetically pleasing. The view of Time Square from the Bowtie bar of is great. Mohammed provided excellent service there. He was personable and efficient. Our room was clean, comfortable, spacious and well maintained. Overall we had a great time and would highly recommend this hotel.

The room is not what I would've expected when you think Merrott. The A/C did not cool the room off. We actually slept above the covers so we didnt sweat. Which may explain the weird smell that is present each time we entered the room. What looked like a breakfast buffet one would think is part of the stay, isn't! Paid $154 which I have never spent on a breakfast let alone a buffet. Location is exactly where you want to be and the staff were super friendly. There is valet which is helpful for an extra $100.

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, and their warm hospitality truly stood out. The hotel was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had such a lively, positive atmosphere. The energy and vibe made it feel like more than just a place to stay. The location is another huge plus—right in the heart of Harlem, making it easy to explore the neighborhood’s amazing restaurants, culture, and history. If you’re looking for a clean, vibrant hotel with exceptional service in a fantastic location, I highly recommend staying here. I will definitely return!
