A great hotel, highly recommended! We had a wonderful time at the Pestana CR7 hotel Times square, and stayed there for 6 nights. It is a unique, and I think also a rare combination between a hotel centrally located in the crowded noisy part of New York, so very easy to get to the main attractions by foot or subway and yet quiet and not over crowded, in a way that feels like a real boutique hotel. I especially admired the total silence in the rooms - we couldn't hear a sound from the street or nearby rooms, and for me personally it's a huge advantage. It was also spotless clean. The rooms could have a little more lightning, but that's really my only comment. Would definitely return to when in NY

I wanted to like this hotel because the location is convenient, but unfortunately, there were too many issues during my stay to give it a positive review. The main concern was the cleanliness. The room was dusty when I arrived, and the housekeeping service was inconsistent. On some days, the room was cleaned but fresh towels were not provided. Cleaning could also happen very late, sometimes around 5 p.m., meaning that if you returned to the hotel in the afternoon, you could still find the room untouched and with the previous day's towels. For me, cleanliness should be one of the most basic and important aspects of any hotel, and this was simply not up to standard. The common areas did not give a much better impression. The bathroom next to the reception was very dirty, and the lobby was frequently overcrowded, with many guests waiting around with their luggage. It made the hotel feel poorly organized and somewhat chaotic. There are also some practical problems with the rooms. The wardrobe is ridiculously small, so there is barely enough space to put your clothes away, even for a relatively short stay. On top of that, the windows don't provide very good sound insulation, so you can hear quite a lot of noise from outside. The air conditioning could also be much better; it wasn't as effective or comfortable as I would expect. Breakfast was another weak point. There are only two trays of food available, which is nowhere near enough for the number of guests. Breakfast starts at 7 a.m., but there were already many people waiting when it opened. If you arrive even a little later, within around 30 minutes there may be very little food left. This feels unnecessarily cheap and poorly managed. If the hotel cannot provide enough breakfast for its guests, it would honestly be better not to offer it. What is frustrating is that none of these problems are particularly difficult to fix. Better and more consistent cleaning, sufficient towels, a more organized breakfast service, better soundproofing, improved air conditioning, and more practical storage would make a huge difference. The location gives this hotel a lot of potential, but the lack of attention to basic details seriously affects the guest experience. I expected considerably more and, above all, a much higher standard of cleanliness and organization.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were friendly and was a good location in proximity to Times Square and our other activities. We had an issue with our room hvac, but Emily with Guest Services was a great help and got it resolved along with the rest of the team. We recommend this hotel.
***If you have any visual impairment or difficulty seeing in low-light conditions, I would not recommend staying here*** Pestana is basically a no frills 2-star hotel. The comfort rooms are extremely small and poorly laid out; they would likely only be comfortable for one person of petite height and build. My partner and I are both relatively small, yet we constantly found ourselves bumping into each other. Comfort room cons: *Extremely small room *Outlets only on one side of bed *Can’t do makeup due to poor bathroom lighting *Bed sheets smelled unpleasant *Dark room overall/ just poor lighting in general in room *Drilling noises coming from somewhere next door My biggest concern, however, was the lack of adequate hallway lighting. The hallways and the corner entrance leading to my room were extremely dark. As a woman, I found the level of darkness genuinely concerning from a safety standpoint. It was so dim that if an incident involving another person were to occur, it would be extremely difficult to see or identify them. I honestly believe hotel hallways should have sufficient lighting to ensure guests feel safe and can clearly see their surroundings. The current lighting creates an unnecessary safety concern. I gave two stars primarily because my room was fortunately pest-free and bed bug free, which I appreciated.
Great room with confy King size bed and all equipments I we needed were there! I appreciated the free minibar for the Deluxe room i booked. Felt good to have a drink after a long day of walk! But the top of this Hotel was the efficient, pro-active and friendly service! Nothing we asked seemed too much for them. We felt very welcomed! Special mention to both Jorge and Enzo at Front desk. Housekeeping service was quite good also! The only downside was the absence of a propre breakfast service. There might be a reason for that but.... They still provided on a first come first served basis some coffee, croissants and bagels but since there was a lot of people coming way too early for that (even slightly before 7AM), it was difficult for us to get some. It didn't bother us anyway since there is so much options for quick and efficient breakfast services outside near thé hotel.
