My wife and i landed at the airport at 4 am EST. We arrived at the hotel at 5 am exhausted expecting to get our room key for our 3 day anniversary stay that we checked in for. Come to find out, they gave our room out to someone else and told us that the hotel was at capacity. They told us to come back around 4 PM IN THE AFTERNOON TO SEE IF OUR ROOM WAS AVAILABLE. Nonetheless, we made do and came back at 4 PM and got our room. The next morning, my wife and I were leaving for the day and i mistakenly left my wallet on the nightstand. I saw the cleaning lady on the way out and she had mentioned she was heading into our room next. We came back towards end of day and i couldnt find my wallet for the life of me. My wife and i turned our room upside down before calling front desk. Front desk was of absolutely NO help. We rushed down to talk to them and the lady said she would go get a manager… she was gone for 10 minutes. Next thing you know, the manager finally came out and asked simple questions. Then proceeded to mention that Security would come get info from us. The security guard came and asked very interrogating and rude questions, he kept talking over my wife and i, and kept saying that theft is a big issue there and if they find out that someone other than an employee is responsible, its on me, not them. I tried asking if anything had been turned in or what would happen if we depart before its found. I got the most careless, disregarding responses i have ever heard from a person. Let alone an employee at a hotel. I at least expected an “i apologize for the inconvenience” but no. And just the cherry on top, my wife and i went back to the room to try looking more and the “security guard” called our room and told us that he forgot to have me fill out an incident report. IF YOU PLAN ON STAYING HERE, DONT.

We stayed here for 5 nights. Hot water worked one night, rest of the time it was either barely warm or cold showers. AC never worked and just blows humid air into the room, Open a window and hope for the best. they charge you $42 per night onto of whatever rate you have already paid and say its stated on the reservation *read the fine print* this should be easily visible before placing a reservation. Wont be staying here again. Rooms were really small, Its NYC so i guess that's normal, no mini fridge in the room. Best part of this hotel was housekeeping, they were amazing. Rest of the Hotel was not worth it.
We had a great stay at Park Central Hotel New York! The location is definitely one of its biggest perks. It’s very close to Central Park, Times Square, shopping, and tons of restaurants. It’s also really easy to get around from the hotel, whether you’re taking the subway, grabbing a taxi, or calling an Uber. The hotel lounge is a nice area to hang out, and every employee we interacted with was incredibly friendly—from reception and the bell staff to the doormen and housekeeping. We stayed on the 10th floor and had a decent view overlooking the street. Despite being in such a busy part of the city, it wasn’t too loud at night and we had no issues sleeping. The rooms are a little outdated and could probably use some updating, and our TV glitched quite a bit during the stay. Those were relatively minor issues for us, though. Overall, we had a great stay and really enjoyed the convenient location and friendly service. I’d definitely recommend it if you want to be centrally located while visiting NYC!
Overall pleasant experience at this hotel. All the staff were friendly and cooperative. Comfortable beds with multiple lamps within room; personally I prefer a more well-lit room. The rooms were in pretty high demand, so it is recommended to book ahead of time. The first room we were given had a scent of mildew in the bathroom. We changed rooms the next day and there was no problem with our new room. It is in pretty close proximity to central park and many other nice tourist attractions such as Time Square and the Empire State Building. Also there is a kind man at the entrance of the hotel who can help you call a taxi whenever you need one!
We got the room with 2 queen beds. It has space for the beds and not much else. Bathroom is nice. We got continental breakfast included (1 coffee, 1 pastry, 1 whole fruit), not the best but manageable. People cleaning the rooms are very nice and helpful. People in the front desks and breakfast service seem to be set on proving the rude new yorker stereotype. The location however, is hard to beat. All in all, if you want to be in a central location for tourism it is a very good place to be.
