Staff are present the steak was too salty cheesecake was good. The service was great. The view was awesome. How was a little disappointed because of where it's located. I had the opportunity to open up the Marriott marquis, 44th in Broadway. It's an amazing hotel. I thought that this would be even better. It's good, but not that great. The rooms are okay not much in style but comfort comfortable. The area is beautiful safe and pleasant
We didn’t read the reviews and the pictures don’t do it justice. We walked into a room that was 85 degrees on the inside, a room that appeared to be decorated in the 1970s, with a couch that took up half the wall, a dirty step-in tub, and old, dirty carpet. The AC didn’t work. Our first night getting to the hotel for a couples getaway, we had to entertain company, for almost 8 hours while it was being fixed and it was hot as hell. For some reason, everyone who cleaned the room in the last month or so didn’t feel like doing the baseboards so they were caked with thick dust behind the doors and that long chair. The wallpaper appeared as though someone had chocolate (I hope) on their hands and smeared it on all the walls! Then the duvet was stained (I hope). When I saw the inners, after the cover had slipped off; it was time to go, so I didn’t complain. Now my husband called about the AC and the manager informed us that we could not change rooms because they were fully booked, but they sent the engineers (who worked hard in our room for almost 8 hours, but were very polite and apologetic about how much time it took to get the room cooler: 75 degrees is as cool as it got.) The manager gave us a gift, for our troubles, at the bar and grill: service was horrible, food selection was even worse, so we sat and then got up and left. We found this great spot called Taboonette (Wonderful you should try it). We spent the gift on drinks…lol. Overall, never again and Marriott needs to do better. I felt like I was at the Red Roof Inn. Other than our accommodations Brooklyn was wonderful!
Overall a pretty nice hotel with generally friendly staff, but not a good value overall. At over $6k for two nights I would have expected much more from Marriott than duck taped sofas, unfinished floors, dirty refrigerators, yellowing fixtures, and no access to M Club (the room cost should have more than covered it imo). As a long term bonvoy member 5+ years and former platinum member, this probably was the worst value Marriott I’ve stayed at globally.
I had a wonderful stay at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge. The hotel is beautiful, modern, and very well maintained. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered great views of the city. The staff was friendly, professional, and always ready to help, making the experience even more enjoyable. The location is excellent, with easy access to Brooklyn attractions and a quick trip into Manhattan. Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and hassle-free. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York and look forward to staying here again.
