I stayed at the Moxy for nine nights while working in New York and the experience was mostly great. The check-in experience was quick and easy, however, there is a lot of confusion around the F&B credits for status members and the approach seems to vary, depending on who you speak to, but we got it sorted in the end. The location is as good as it gets if you want to be close to Times Square, MSG, etc and there are lots of food options within walking distance. Having stayed at Moxy's before, I was expecting the rooms to be small, which they were, but I didn't find it claustrophobic. In fact, the room design made it feel manageable. The bed was comfy and the TV was large and modern, although there was no "streaming from your device" option in the room. It's worth noting, there is no fridge in the room and the aircon was quite noisy. The room was surprisingly quiet, given the location, although you can hear traffic and sirens at night. I asked for a mid-level room to avoid the music bleed from the roof-top bar. Generally, the staff were responsive and friendly, but the lines can get quite long at peak times. The common area is great for working during the day and the room service options are extensive. The only issues I encountered during my stay was with package deliveries, which sometimes come to the hotel and sometimes to the UPS store around the corner, but there isn't great communications between them. The lack of a breakfast option is also something to consider, particularly if you have Marriott status. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider returning.

We had a great stay at Moxy NYC Times Square. The location is extremely convenient — close to Times Square and Penn Station, but just far enough away from the busiest areas to make it a good base for exploring Manhattan. The staff were excellent: friendly, relaxed, responsive, and always helpful. We especially liked the chat function for requests. Whenever we needed fresh towels or anything else, we simply sent a message and someone took care of it almost immediately. Late checkout was also no problem and was very helpful for us. The room was small, as you would expect in Midtown Manhattan, but incredibly smart and efficient. The Moxy style is cool and modern, and the space was used extremely well, with lots of clever places to hang and store things. A little more shelf space would have been nice, but overall we were impressed by how functional and comfortable the room felt despite its size. Another big plus is the large common area. You can have breakfast or coffee there, hang out, or use it for working. There are also three separate coworking studios that can be rented — and when they aren't booked, guests can simply use them. Very practical. Noise inside the hotel was absolutely fine for us, although we stayed on a higher floor, so I can't judge how it is on the lower floors. Overall, a very smart, stylish and well-run hotel with great staff, excellent use of space and a very convenient Midtown location. We would definitely stay here again.
I had a wonderful two-night stay at Moxy and couldn't be happier with my experience! From the moment I arrived, everything was smooth and hassle-free. A huge shoutout to Craig, who truly went above and beyond. He was incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely cared about making sure I had a great stay. He helped me check in early, took care of all the details so I didn't have to worry about a thing, and even gave me a food voucher for the Moxy restaurant to use later. The hotel itself is in a fantastic, convenient location, and every staff member I interacted with was friendly and welcoming. If you're staying at Moxy, you're in great hands. I'll definitely be back. Thank you, Craig, for making my stay so memorable!
During my stay at Moxy Times Square, I experienced a thoughtfully curated guest journey that balanced efficiency, personality, and genuine care. From check-in onward, the team demonstrated strong service fundamentals paired with human warmth, an intersection that matters deeply in modern hospitality. I’d like to personally acknowledge Jimmi and Imani for their professionalism and welcoming presence, as well as Marco and Ossy for their attentiveness throughout my stay. A special mention to JP in Security, whose calm, consistent approach reinforced a strong sense of safety and trust. While Jason adhered closely to protocol, which I respect, especially as he is new, the overall service ecosystem still felt adaptive and guest-centered. I appreciate his attentiveness and commitment to doing the job right, and I’d also like to extend thanks to Jorge, Head of Security. Coming from a large convention hotel environment myself, I’m especially attuned to operational flow and interdepartmental coordination. I appreciated the seamless phone communication with Housekeeping and the team’s responsiveness, specifically Edmond, whose friendly demeanor and positive presence as a runner reflected strong service instincts. These interactions were clear indicators of effective internal systems and guest recovery readiness. The front-facing experience felt intentional, and the small touches (including treats and thoughtful moments of engagement) contributed to a sense of personalization without intrusion. Overall, this stay reinforced why I’m proud to be part of the Marriott family. Moxy offered a distinctive yet reliable experience, playful in brand, disciplined in execution. I’m grateful for the name-level recognition during my stay, and I’m always happy to elaborate further if feedback is helpful. Personal thank you again to Jimmi!
My wife and I recently stayed at the Moxy for three nights, and we had a great experience. At first glance, the room seemed a bit small, but we adapted quickly, and it turned out to be very cozy. We were really able to rest and recharge. The rooftop is an absolute highlight. The customer service was also excellent. The two guys who stored our luggage treated us incredibly well, and the front desk staff was just as accommodating. One evening, we were heading to a show at Madison Square Garden and it was raining. The front desk kindly offered us umbrellas, which was such a thoughtful gesture that literally saved our night! Overall, it is a vibrant and welcoming place, and we would gladly return.
