Let me say that overall we liked the hotel. Location and proximity to Union Square is great. We expected the room to be tight as it is NYC. The fact that there is no closet is fine as I knew there would be pegs to hang clothes from. All good. Mattress was VERY comfortable. Slept well. My biggest issues are that for the money charged, we had to request hand towels every day. The room comes with bath towels and washcloths, but no hand towels. Also, NO moisturizer in the bathroom. I mean this is standard at the Hampton Inn, cmon guys. The staff is amazing. All of them. Friendly, helpful, all the things. I would recommend that you have a white noise app on your phone and use it at night as the club across 11the street can be loud not to mention ride share / black car drivers honking their horn to get people to come down for their ride. This can and will happen all through the night. All in all I would recommend this hotel. Just know the things mentioned above.

I had a great experience at the Moxy! The front desk staff, especially Oshyn, Briana, and Diara, were amazing and made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. They were incredibly helpful whenever I needed anything. I would definitely stay here again! My only suggestion would be to provide high stools for the front desk staff, as standing on their feet all day can be unhealthy and physically demanding. They deserve the opportunity to sit and rest when needed
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Moxy East Village during a weekend wedding, where our group had more than five rooms with family and friends staying at the hotel. I travel extensively for work and stay at Marriott properties roughly 175 nights a year all around the world, so I’ve had the opportunity to interact with a lot of hotel teams and front desk staff. Daria truly stood out as one of the best Marriott front desk professionals I’ve encountered. From the moment we arrived, Daria was incredibly friendly, welcoming, professional, and extremely helpful. With a large group and the added logistics of a wedding weekend, she went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Her positive attitude and willingness to help made a real difference and made our stay feel especially personal. Great service like this is what keeps frequent travelers coming back, and Daria is a perfect example of that. She is a tremendous asset to the Moxy East Village team, and Marriott is lucky to have her. Thank you, Daria, for making an already special weekend even better! I would happily recommend the Moxy East Village and especially want to recognize Daria for her outstanding hospitality.
My experience was absolutely incredible. The hotel is Gorg and everyone who works there is so kind and happy and chatty!! They have free coffee in the mornings. Nicole and Carmen and Nikki were absolutely fabulous! They let me store my bag for the whole day and were so quick to give us waters.
Moxie East Village is a great spot in a fantastic neighborhood, but the real standout is the cafe downstairs — and specifically Issy and Yesi. Both of them are warm, welcoming, and genuinely great at what they do. The kind of staff who actually remember you, make you feel welcome, and turn walking through the door into a highlight of your day. Every coffee, every quick bite, every passing hello was better because of them. Hotels live and die by their people, and Issy and Yesi are exactly the kind of staff that turn a good stay into a memorable one. Highly recommend stopping in even if you're not staying at the hotel — and thank you both!
