A great central base during my visit to NYC for comic con week. As a solo traveler the biggest compliment I could give the Kixby Hotel is that I felt at home! The room was great as were the staff, each one I spoke to friendly approachable and helpful. The location made it easy to get everywhere easily and I would not hesitate in coming back! Thank you!!
I stayed here for a three-night, long weekend and, without a doubt, I'll return to the Kixby hotel for any future NYC trips. The front-desk staff were each kind, while also informative and tentative to my needs and questions. The cleaning service staff were thoughtful and detailed. I never had to wait long for an elevator. The Kixby water bottle, along with 24-hour access to flavored still or sparkling water and coffee was welcome in the morning before or after a day out in the City. The bathroom was spacious. The towels were comfortable. The hotel is right next to amazing Korean food and steps away from the Subway. The Kixby hotel was a respite of calm, steps away from the bustle of the City.
Stayed here the past three nights during my husband and I’s anniversary/honeymoon trip and loved it. Ray checked us in and out, and was super helpful with any questions or needs we had throughout the trip. The room was super clean and we LOVED the amenities on the second floor. The coffee and milk there was always fresh, and having access to filtered/sparkling water flavors was so fun! The location is so central and Herald square right next door made nyc feel cozy. Jose helped us with our bags after we checked out and was so kind. Will absolutely stay here anytime we’re back in Manhattan and I highly recommend you do too!
My wife and I came to the city for her birthday and our 25th anniversary. This was our first time staying at Kixby but it won’t be our last. First, you couldn’t ask for a better location. Tons of great restaurants very close and the subway is a couple feet down the block. I emailed two days before we arrived asking for some special attention for my wife. It was last minute so I didn’t even expect them to acknowledge the email. Well that did. They game us a huge room with little gifts and notes around the room. It was very nice and she really appreciated it! I have to mention the staff. Every single person we came in contact with was so nice. You can really tell they want to be there. 10/10
Wonderful place. Probably helped that we got an upgrade due to running out of standard king rooms, but I'm sure those are great too. Didn't require any "hands on" service, but the employees welcoming you back any time you returned was nice. Everyone seemed friendly. Rooftop bar was closed, but that's mother nature's fault. Still able to go up, just had to get drinks from the restaurant. And I learned that at midnight (at least on the night I stayed), the lights on the empire State building, which towers over you, go BONKERS for 10 minutes, which was a cool unexpected show. Fantastic location for Broadway shows, and right by a subway stop for anything else you could want. I don't have anything planned yet, but next time my wife and I head to the city for another getaway, this will be the first place we check.
