This hotel was perfect if you are staying in Times Square. There are subway stations & Grand Central Station within walking distance. The room was surprisingly quiet although we were on the 34th floor and we felt safe when leaving the hotel. The rooms were modern, very clean, and the beds comfortable. The bathroom even has heated floors. We would definitely stay again & would recommend to anyone.

The staff was wonderful! All of the staff at the front desk were friendly, helpful (especially with directions) - I don't remember all of the people by name however, Michael and Dyna popped up in my mind. The housekeeper Justyna was outstanding in keeping my room clean and supplied with towels and such! She is so friendly and is also Polish and pointed out to me the Pulaski Day parade that was happening on nearby 5th Ave - I saw the beginning of the parade before I had to catch a plane. I recommend this hotel
Dyana at the front desk truly made our stay amazing. From check-in and handling our bags to helping my daughter arrange a ride from the hotel to JFK Airport when Uber prices were surging, she was incredibly courteous, patient, and helpful with all of our questions. The location is fantastic—close to Times Square, and the subway we took to the US Open was only about an 8-minute walk from the hotel. There’s also a Starbucks and Walgreens right across the street, which was very convenient. We had a light snack and drinks at Bar 54, where the views were amazing and the service was top-notch. I recommend making a reservation since it can get busy, although they do accept walk-ins. We had breakfast once at T45, and unfortunately, that experience did not meet the level of service I usually expect from a Hyatt. There were no clear instructions about whether our food would be served or picked up, and the host simply called out our orders when they were ready. The restaurant was also very dimly lit, with a pink neon “Open” sign being one of the few noticeable lights, and the area had a musty, wet-mop smell rather than the inviting aroma of coffee or pastries you would expect from a hotel breakfast spot. My partner picked up our coffee, and when the food was ready, the host again called out the order. It honestly felt more like a school cafeteria than a Hyatt. When my partner went to pick up our breakfast sandwiches, which were served on paper plates, the host apparently noticed that I was unhappy with the situation and then took the plates from him and brought them to our table. I think the hosts/servers at T45 could benefit from a refresher on proper guest service and dining etiquette. That said, I’m still giving the hotel 5 stars because the rest of our stay was excellent. We were upgraded to a room with a fantastic view, and our housekeepers were wonderful, friendly, and kept our room and beds nice and tidy. You really can’t beat the location, especially with Times Square, Broadway, and Radio City Music Hall all nearby. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely return!
Loved everything about our stay at Hyatt Centric Times Square. The location is perfect, and the rooms offer plenty of space to relax. A huge thanks to Dede, Jonan, and Shean! We arrived with a lot of oversized luggage, and they jumped in immediately to take care of everything for us. Great staff makes all the difference, and these three are the true face of hospitality and the Hyatt brand. Highly recommend!
The location is very good. However, the lobby is somewhat underwhelming, with no seating and a front desk that looks more like the counter of a fast-food restaurant. The lobby staff, as well as the valet attendants, were not very helpful and were rather unfriendly. Although there is an access-control system for the guest floors, it is not actually enforced, and there is no staff member checking whether people have a room key. This allows non-hotel guests to access the bar on the 54th floor. The bar itself could be utilized much more effectively. It has an exceptional view, but the food menu lacks even a minimum variety of dishes. Our room was clean and comfortable. However, the TV options were very limited. We also had to request the disposable slippers, as they had not been provided, and the delivery took so long that we had to call twice. Finally, the co-working space was disappointing, to say the least: there were no chairs, and it was located in a busy passageway used by other guests going to the bathroom or dropping off luggage at the storage area. For a hotel charging the rates it does, the level of service should be considerably better. I would not choose to stay here again.
