Hotel Hugo

Lovely hotel, great location for downtown, midtown. Great access to walking along Hudson River.. Quiet location, nice rooms and amenities. Love the complimentary water bottles, great size to throw in your bag when walking..on the pricey side but what isn't in NYC..

★★★★★ Hotel Hugo was stunning. The space itself is beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. I had plenty of room, and it felt like somewhere I could actually settle in rather than just sleep and leave. But hands down, the staff made the stay for me. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. There is a difference between someone simply checking you into a hotel and people who actually see you, acknowledge you, and make you feel like you belong in the space. That was my experience here. The staff was warm, helpful, and genuinely pleasant throughout my stay. The location was also excellent for the kind of New York weekend I wanted. I walked to the Blue Note for the show I came to see, walked back afterward, walked to get food, and was able to enjoy the neighborhood without feeling like I had to get into a car every time I wanted to do something. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and much roomier than I expected. Now, Hotel Hugo, I do have one question: who decided that showerhead needed to be approximately eight feet in the air? I’m 5’6”. 😂 Beautiful bathroom, but that little situation feels like a very easy hardware-store fix. That tiny quirk aside, I genuinely enjoyed my stay. Beautiful space. Great location. But the staff is what would bring me back.

Enjoyed my stay here! Everyone working there was so friendly, professional and accommodating. The coffee was great (appreciated the free voucher!), rooms were simple and a little dated but very comfy). Gym was small in the basement but good to have. Location amazing. Rooftop bar is a nice plus. Would happily stay again when visiting New York!

Excellent stay! The hotel is very well located, in a great area of New York and convenient for getting around the city. What stood out the most was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, helpful and attentive throughout our stay, and they even went out of their way to help me with a package that arrived after I had already left New York. They handled everything for me and kept me updated, which I really appreciated. Great location, wonderful service and a team that genuinely cares about their guests. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
