I've stayed here twice so far, and both times I've had an exceptional stay. The staff are great, rooms are very clean and quiet, and the location is perfect if you are traveling by train. Elevators do take a bit at peak hours of the day, but not at all a reason to avoid - just plan a few extra minutes if you have a tight itinerary. I've also checked bags here before going out into the city and had a great experience. Well worth your money if you want an easy and comfortable stay in the city.

- The hotel is in an excellent location in Manhattan. - Close to public transportation, including subway and bus stations - The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. - There are not enough elevators, especially during peak hours. - The room and bathroom were a good size. - There is no bidet or bidet spray in the bathroom. - The breakfast was average. The menu was the same every day, with limited variety. - The hotel was clean and well maintained. - One thing I didn't like was having religious books for only two religions in the room. I don't think this is suitable for guests from other religions or those with no religion. - The hotel is also quite expensive.
One of the busiest hotels in Midtown Manhattan, but it has the kindest staff around! I have stayed here a few times in the last year and it is truly one of the best hotels in Midtown. Marriott's customer service remains top tier which is rare in today's world. This hotel is run efficiently and is busy at all times, but you still feel welcomed and taken care of. There are 2 sets of elevators depending on your room, and they run efficiently. The rooms are clean and modern, the bed was extremely comfortable and the tv had a lot of stations to choose from. I appreciate that deliveries never get lost and are kept in one area whether you are ordering food or groceries. I've had issues with this at other hotels. I also have to shout out the free breakfast- not only is that hard to find today as included with a stay, but it is a legit, full room with both hot food items and cold food items, drinks and enough for the massive amounts of people that are there at one time. I also appreciate that their hours for breakfast go to 11 am for those of us who are not early birds. To run this for 4-5+ hours requires an extremely efficient staff, and they have mastered this. I would always choose this hotel if its available!
To be completely honest, I didn’t know what to expect coming in. Because it was a Fairfield, I wasn't anticipating a luxury or top-tier experience, but they completely exceeded my expectations from start to finish. Every staff member (except one) was phenomenal, but I especially want to give a massive shoutout to Jeffrey! I ran into a couple of hiccups during my stay—I was initially promised a room upgrade that didn't go through (by the one staff member that completelydropped the ball), and I had persistent issues with my room door failing, which meant frustrating trips back and forth to the lobby. However, the way the staff handled it made all the difference. They communicated clearly, took full ownership, fixed the issue, and were incredibly kind and generous with perks to make it right. True top-tier hospitality is defined by how a team handles a bump in the road, and this team handled it with pure grace. A few highlights that really elevated the stay: Marriott Member Happy Hour: A wonderful, unexpected touch! They hosted a complimentary happy hour every day with wine, beer, and drinks, which was a fantastic way to unwind. Daily Breakfast: A pleasant perk to get something quick and filling in your belly before heading out to explore the city. Though there was some room to be desired. The Location: Tucked away on a quiet street in Times Square South. I loved this because I never had to deal with late-night noise or the chaotic energy of the city. Note: If you want to be right in the middle of the action, be prepared for a 15–20 minute walk to reach the core heart of Times Square, but for me, the peace and quiet was a major plus. One Important Note Regarding thier Beds: The mattresses here are extremely firm. If you suffer from lower back pain or muscle tightness like I do, the firmness might be a trigger for you. Unfortunately, my sciatica flared by day 3 big time and I could immediately tell I was at tisk the moment I laid down on night 1 because of how hard. I'm still suffering from the flair up and I've since checked out. Future travelers need to keep this in mind when booking. Oh, and yes - believe the reviews about the elevators. They are very SLOW. . However, despite the minor bumps and the uncomfortable bed, the warmth, generosity, and stellar service from Jeffrey and the entire team made this a 10/10 experience for me. I would definitely recommend staying here and would gladly return!
I’m sharing this review in hopes of helping anyone considering booking this hotel. My family members are Marriott Ambassadors, and we have stayed at Marriott properties across the country. Without a doubt, this was the worst Marriott experience we have had. I stayed at this property from June 18–20 and encountered several serious issues: a broken air-conditioning system that was never repaired, broken windows, a shower that did not drain properly, and, most seriously, a significant privacy and safety violation when another guest unexpectedly entered our room while we were naked because the room had apparently been double-booked. Unfortunately, the experience after our stay has been nearly as frustrating as the stay itself. It has now been approximately a month of repeatedly following up about a promised refund that has still not been processed. A case was opened and escalated (Case #890795377), and I have spoken with multiple managers and representatives, yet the issue remains unresolved. Rather than receiving a resolution, I have repeatedly been told what I, as the guest, should have done differently—including that I should not have booked through a third party and that I should have asked the front desk to link my reservation. None of this changes the fact that the hotel provided a room with multiple maintenance problems, allowed another guest access to our occupied room, and has still failed to process the promised refund. Booking.com has informed me that the hotel must first return $461.73 to the virtual credit card originally used to pay the property before Booking.com can reimburse me. According to Booking.com, they have contacted the hotel multiple times requesting these funds, but the refund has still not been processed. When I contacted Marriott again for an update, I was simply directed back to Booking.com, leaving me caught between the two companies with no resolution. During and after my stay, I reported these concerns and spoke with several members of hotel management, including: • Natasha Calvo, Director of Front Office • John Gaspard, Assistant Front Office Manager • Victor Sanabria, Assistant Front Office Manager The room conditions alone would have made this a disappointing stay. The double-booking that allowed a stranger to enter our room while we were undressed made it a serious privacy and safety concern. The fact that nearly a month of calls, escalations, and follow-ups has still not resulted in the promised refund has made the experience considerably worse. I am still requesting that the hotel honor the promised refund and provide written confirmation of when it will be processed. Until this matter is resolved, I cannot recommend this property based on either my stay or the way my concerns have been handled afterward. My recommendation: There are better places to stay
