We came to New York to see a show and spent our Anniversary weekend here. It was absolutely phenomenal! We were extremely pleased with our suite, it was luxurious but not needlessly frilly. Modern, extremely clean, well-kept, and so relaxing to be in. The temperature was excellent, the bathroom was incredible, and the linens were fantastic. It was the little things - the dedicated water for drinking, the incredible soaps in the bathroom, the exercise equipment - that really made it feel like such a treat. It was actually so quiet in the room we had to play our own sound machine because we weren't used to such peacefulness! What really blew us away was the Concierge staff. They were attentive, warm, knowledgeable, and truly made us feel like we were their close friends. They helped me set up an anniversary surprise for my husband (flowers and treats), and book spa services. The text service was extremely helpful, as well. They set up amazing last minute reservations at a restaurants and checked in consistently. They even sent us an incredible, heartfelt message after we left. We just adore them and would come back for them alone! A big, special thank you to Tirone, James, and Edwin (and others, but these three we spoke with the most). The Front Desk staff was also excellent, they consistently greeted us warmly and with the amazing Bell Service staff, they made us feel so special. We SO enjoyed the Spa, as well! We were treated like royalty and were shown some excellent products we took home. A special thanks to Jonah, Tammy, Raylene (I believe that was her name) and Karla. The massage and facials were the best we had ever had, so superior to services we had gotten elsewhere. My husband had the Male Performance Facial and bought some products (he used to be an 8-in-1 type) and his skin has looked better than it ever has before! Jonah's suggestions helped my skin immensely, as well, and he was so delightful! The massage from Tammy was unreal! The proximity to the Hudson Yards mall, Vessel, and Peloton was amazing for us. There was so much to do in that area without getting stuck in the chaos of more touristy areas. The Electric Lemon was also quite nice and the staff was excellent. The staff here really made our Anniversary trip SO incredible and we felt so valued and seen. We sincerely can't wait to come back. Much love to all the staff at the Equinox Hotel!

We chose Equinox over the Pendry specifically because of its promise of exceptional sleep, wellness, and recovery. Unfortunately, after just one night, we were so disappointed that we decided to leave and contact the Pendry, just a block away. For a hotel that markets its rooms as the “ultimate sleep chamber,” the lack of sound insulation was astonishing. Our room had a persistent noice like a radiator in old buildings throughout the day and night, train noise woke me up day and night. We could hear conversations in the hallway and we could even hear next door guests talking and using a hair dryer through the connecting doors. Restful sleep was practically impossible. The service was equally disappointing. Even the reception area, located on the 25th floor, was surprisingly noisy and busy, hardly the peaceful atmosphere you’d expect from a hotel focused on wellness and recovery. The overall experience felt impersonal and unwelcoming. No one offered assistance with our luggage even in the rain. We also discovered that housekeeping had to be specifically requested, something we weren’t told at check-in. Our in-room dining was average, and the person delivering it smelled like he had a cigarette before coming into the room leaving the smell after he left. Most disappointing was the staff’s indifference when we decided to leave early. Nobody seemed interested in understanding why. I had to call Expedia myself to arrange the early checkout and refund, then speak with the hotel’s reservations department over the phone because the front desk somehow wasn’t aware of the situation. They eventually refunded our unused night and “waived” the penalties, almost as if they were doing us a favor. I understand hotels have policies, but at that point, I was so disappointed that I didn’t even bother asking for more flexibility. I just wanted to leave. Equinox has the appearance and branding of a luxury hotel, but it feels more focused on impressing guests than making them feel genuinely comfortable and cared for
Simply outstanding! The Equinox Hotel New York is easily the best hotel experience I have had in the US and one of my favourite hotels worldwide. The rooms and amenities are impeccable, but what truly sets this hotel apart is its exceptional team. Every single staff member was genuinely welcoming, warm, attentive, and consistently went the extra mile. A very special mention to Nathan, the Guest Experience Manager, who truly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The incredible concierge team also deserves recognition for securing last-minute reservations at some of New York’s most sought-after restaurants. The bell staff were always incredibly helpful, genuinely friendly, and a pleasure to interact with. The reception team made every encounter great fun, always recognising us and making us feel truly welcome. Equally impressive was the housekeeping team, who did a flawless job while remaining almost invisible throughout our stay. Truly effortless service at its best! The hotel's own restaurant was equally impressive: outstanding service, fantastic food, and a wonderfully cool atmosphere. A must-visit, even if you're not staying at the hotel. A truly remarkable hospitality experience, where every department contributes to something special. This is how luxury hospitality should feel. Can't wait to return!
The Equinox Hotel New York continues to be one of my favorite hotel experiences anywhere. It’s rare to find a property that gets luxury, service, fitness, wellness, and recovery right at the same time, but Equinox consistently does. The hotel itself is exceptional. The rooms are beautiful, the fitness facilities are unmatched, and the entire experience is built around actually feeling better when you leave than when you arrived. From the gym and training facilities to the spa, recovery amenities, pool, and overall attention to wellness, there really isn’t another hotel experience quite like it. What has made my stays particularly special, though, is the level of service. Nathan Loga, one of the managers, has taken care of me in ways that have been truly extraordinary. Over multiple stays, he has consistently gone above and beyond—not because he has to, but because he genuinely understands hospitality and what it means to make a guest feel taken care of. He has become a dear friend, and that friendship came from experiencing firsthand the kind of person he is and the standard of service he brings to the hotel. That level of care extends throughout the property. The team is attentive without being overbearing, professional without feeling impersonal, and somehow manages to make such a beautiful luxury hotel still feel warm and familiar. There are plenty of beautiful hotels in New York. What separates Equinox is that it feels like an entire lifestyle experience rather than simply somewhere to sleep. And when that is paired with people like Nathan who genuinely care about the guests walking through the doors, it becomes very difficult to stay anywhere else. Five stars, without hesitation.
My stay at Equinox was one of the best hotel experiences I've had globally. From the moment you reach the check in desk you feel like you're in another world....and you are. A highly curated world for health, relaxation, fitness, and joy. The restaurants, gym, and lobby are all 5*. Rooms are designed for silence, relaxation, focus and sleep. Blackout curtains, delicious coffee and teas, Grown Alchemist bath products, and natural fiber mattresses. You will not regret staying here. Each staff member seemed to be better and more helpful than the next.
