City Club Hotel

Awesome stay. I booked the King room w/ the soaking tub & enjoyed the rest & relaxation I needed for an upcoming busy week. Quite frankly the accommodations exceeded my expectations and it was primarily due to the staff. Jay & Jenny provided me with 5 star service and in some cases were kind enough to go above and beyond. Thank you Jay & Jenny, I’m looking forward to coming back.

Jo and John were super friendly at check in, and they answered my questions. The location is great, everything is within walking distance. The bed was comfortable, and the room was stocked with plenty of storage and essentials. The bathroom floor had creases/divets in the floor especially near where you'd stand for the sink and toilet. stepping around in them made it very easy to slip and fall so we had to be careful where we stepped.

I recently stayed at City Club for the first time, based on the location and the room size (King Luxe). I knew it was an older hotel, and I anticipated that the rooms would be lacking in some modern amenities. But the location was a draw, and given that I wasn't going to NYC to sit in my hotel all day, I was willing to trade off updated amenities for great location. I was MOST impressed with the service, though! From our check in, to recommendations for places to eat, to friendly greetings every time we entered or left the hotel, to getting us a cab and explaining fixed rates, the service was outstanding. I would especially like to commend Robenna and Ramon for a seamless checkout and departure from the hotel. The complementary breakfast was also impressive in that the coffee service included latte, capuccino and americano options, fresh juices, fruit and real milk and cream. All in all, a great place to stay, eventhough the rooms could use updating.

This was my first time at the hotel. The location can’t be beat for work and play in Manhattan. I had a great experience checking in and answering all my questions, particularly from Jay and Ramon who were at the front desk when I checked in late in the day. My only comment would be the room could use a refresh, but they were decent and comfortable stay for the night.
