1 Hotel Central Park

This is a 4 star hotel by US standards and a 3-star in Europe. The design is decent and some of the rooms make pretty good use of space considering the average size of hotel rooms in NYC. Bamford products are great. That’s pretty much it. Service is non-existent. Upon check-in no one even attempted to help with bags. Requested a pair of scissors to open some packages and they never arrived. Requested via the app for my room service tray to get picked up and it was still there 12 hours later. Speaking of room service - it only runs from 7:30am to 9:30pm so good luck getting an early breakfast or late dinner. Of course nobody was told about the scaffolding, which is pretty awful and obstructive. There is only one bar/restaurant on the lobby level of the hotel and the gym is tiny. There are better hotels in NYC for this exorbitant price.

My wife and I just returned from a stay a 1 Hotel Central Park in New York City and we were blown away. We stayed in a Park view suite with wrap around terrace on the 19th floor and the room was straight out of a dream. One of the best views of central park in the city! We loved the app for check-in and used the room key provided via the app for hotel access. We ate a late lunch at the hotel restaurant and had amazing apps and cocktails. We can't wait to return!

Lovely hotel. The beds are particularly comfortable. Room service is incredibly fast. Staff is wonderful. Great location. I even prefer this hotel to the St Regis I stayed at a few months ago. It’s low-key but has everything you need and it’s great value for the price.

I've stayed in a lot of NYC hotels and it can be tricky to one that's quiet. The room I had was remarkably quiet, beautiful, and comfortable. Great location near Central Park. And the Jams restaurant had some delicious plant-based options. The overall vibe of the entire property was amazing. This will be my first choice for my NYC trips from now on.
