The India Gate (originally the All India War Memorial) is a war memorial located astride the Rajpath, on the eastern edge of the "ceremonial axis" of New Delhi,[1] formerly called Kingsway. It stands as a memorial to 70,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who died in between 1914–1921 in the First World War, in France, Flanders, Mesopotamia, Persia, East Africa, Gallipoli and elsewhere in the Near and the Far East, and the Second Anglo-Afghan War. 13,300 servicemen's names, including some soldiers and officers from the United Kingdom, are inscribed on the gate.[2] Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, the gate evokes the architectural style of the triumphal arch such as the Arch of Constantine, in Rome, and is often compared to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, and the Gateway of India in Mumbai.
The Lotus Temple, located in Delhi, India, is a Bahá'í House of Worship that was dedicated in December 1986.Notable for its flowerlike shape, it has become a prominent attraction in the city. Like all Bahá'í Houses of Worship, the Lotus Temple is open to all, regardless of religion or any other qualification. The building is composed of 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides,[2] with nine doors opening onto a central hall with a height of slightly over 34.27 metres[3] and a capacity of 2,500 people.[4] The Lotus Temple has won numerous architectural awards and has been featured in many newspaper and magazine articles. A 2001 CNN report referred to it as the most visited building in the world.
The shopping district of Chandni Chowk has been in existence for hundreds of years and an exploration of its winding, narrow alleyways is certainly an adventure. The lanes of Chandni Chowk are divided into bazaars with different areas of specialization. For fabrics, head to Katra Neel. In the Bhagirath Palace area, you'll find a huge range of electronics. Dariba Kalan is Old Delhi's ancient silver market full of silver jewelry. Kinari bazaar sells everything you need for a wedding, including saris. Khari Baoli Road has Asia's largest spice market. Food vendors in Chandni Chowk also serve up a delicious assortment of Delhi street food.
Sarojini Nagar is most famous for its really cheap designer clothes and reputable brands that have been rejected from export, either because of surplus quantity or small manufacturing defects. Shops and stalls, selling all kinds of clothes and fashion accessories, sprawl onto the streets. New stock arrives every Tuesday, so it's best to go then. There's also a sweet market (Babu Market) and vegetable market (Subzi Mandi) in the area.
Established in 1951, Khan Market is a small U-shaped market that's one of Delhi's classiest. Bargain hunters are likely to be disappointed at this market. It's got a loyal following who go there to shop at its branded outlets. One of the best things about this market is its interesting book shops. It's also got some excellent tailors who will make you a suit in less than a week. For Ayurvedic food, medicine and skin care check out Biotique, and Khadi. Hidden away, you'll find some trendy cafes and lounges to relax in, many with balconies overlooking the street.

I had a one day tour around Delhi with Mr. Ashutosh as a guide. It was a great insight into historical and modern city of Delhi making feel the spirit of real India. The guide was a very knowledgeable expert and it was a pleasure to talk to him all the time. He is able to bring you immediately to whatever place you want to see
My tour was very good and the guide service was very excellent 👏 the old delhi part was very good I show lot of monument I was very happy
We recently booked a 7-day trip to India through Viaje de Alma, including stays at 5-star hotels in Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra, with a Spanish-speaking guide, daily breakfast, and buffet lunch. Unfortunately, our experience with the agency was far from what was promised. Despite receiving hotel vouchers in advance for Crowne Plaza (Delhi), Radisson (Jaipur), and Mercure (Agra) as part of our package, upon arrival, we were taken to three entirely different (and cheaper) hotels at each destination. The worst was in Agra, where instead of a 5-star hotel or an equivalent, we were placed in a 3-star hotel (as per Booking.com) or 4-star (according to the staff). Additionally, we did not receive the buffet lunch for the first three days of our trip, having to repeatedly complain to the agency. From the fourth day, they compensated by covering lunch and dinner, but we were taken to places where we could barely eat. The agency even complained to us about the cost of hotel dinners, which was completely unprofessional. To make up for the inconvenience, they did provide an extra room, which we appreciated. However, the constant issues, complaints, and discussions every single day completely ruined our vacation. I do not recommend this agency. The Only Positive Side: The People Who Helped Us Despite the agency’s shortcomings, our guides and driver made our trip more bearable. • Guide in Delhi - Vikas Rajak: Very kind, friendly, and supportive. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ • Guide in Jaipur - Shashank: Highly professional, supportive, and speaks excellent Spanish. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+⭐️ • Guide in Agra: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ • Driver (Deepak): Drove us throughout the trip, excellent service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ While we appreciated the service provided by our guides and driver, the poor organization, deception regarding hotel accommodations, and lack of professionalism from the agency made this a stressful and disappointing experience. Would not book with them again.
It's an interesting and very interactive way to visit and know India's capital. The rickshaw ride is unique one and loved it along with the visit in chandni chowk.
Very friendly the Guide, Vikas very attentive
My guide Akash Awasthi was excellent. He speaks very good Spanish, is very friendly, respectful and warm. At all times he was worried about me really learning and understanding every place we visit. He has a lot of knowledge about different cultures, history and life philosophies. I would definitely recommend it. It was a very enriching experience and hopefully more people can meet him. Thanks for everything!
The guide has taught us the most important things about the city. The driver also very polite and friendly
I have just returned from an amazing trip to India organised by Journey of the Soul and I cannot be more satisfied. The agency has an impeccable organization and you can see the experience in every detail of the itinerary. I traveled with a guide in Spanish who made all the difference: always attentive, very professional and with a deep knowledge of the history and culture of the country. Thanks to his explanations the trip was much more enriching and easy to enjoy. I totally recommend Voyage of the Soul for those who want to know India safely, well accompanied and living authentic experiences. I would definitely travel with them again.

We were with a group of friendly photographers touring a part of India. Hargovin one of the owners of the agency was with us accompanying us. He is a guide in Spanish and his pronunciation is very good. He knows well about the history of India and also his willingness to fulfill everything you ask him is very great. He cares about indulging you in everything. We made a good friendship and I highly recommend it

Our experience in India with Travel of Soul was very good, as we had at all times for any doubt contact with our guide, Vicas who had an excellent Deal with us and we do not feel we are in any of the cities we went through. Plus our driver who was outstanding. I recommend it 100% Journey of Soul.
The organization was exceptional from the beginning. They moved us in a new and very comfortable van, with a driver and Guide exclusively for us, as it was just me and my sister. Our Guide, Sudhir Shekhawat, was excellent: very friendly, always sharing interesting facts and personal experiences, which made the tour not only enjoyable, but also enriching. In addition, Sudhir spoke very fluent Spanish, something that is not easy to find in tour guides, which made communication much easier. I recommend this tour with 100% Sudhir. 5 Stars for Our Guide ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We loved the way we were treated, it should be mentioned that to travel to India you need a Guide and as far as possible driver Everything Was Very Friendly and Pro
An impeccable organization every day with local guides, drivers, hotels, restaurants... We have relaxed a lot in this aspect and we have been able to enjoy an authentic and very exciting India full of culture and good people.
