Aashish was a great guide! We went to the Taj Mahal in the early morning and then the Agra Fort in the early afternoon and both tours were super! Very informative of all aspects of Mughal and Lodi empire history including dates, people, art, and social information! Very satisfying and helpful with these rich cultural destinations to have a seasoned, and knowledgeable guide. Fluent English also.

I had such a good time with Aashish Gupta. We saw the Taj Mahal, and it was a wonderful day. He made sure that we went early in the morning so that it wasn’t too hot. Explain in such amazing detail that we had tons of questions and we were so curious, but he answered every single question that we threw it at him. Even questions that we asked which were not related to Taj Mahal he also answered and he had such an amount of jokes. He was such a happy, and just a wonderful person that we were so happy to run into him again at a restaurant back in Agra when I brought my sister-in-law to go see the Taj Mahal. I highly recommend Aashish Gupta as your guide.

Aashish is the best guide in Agra! He explained everything about the Taj Mahal very clearly and with passion! We spend a very nice morning with him, don't hesitate to book a tour with Aashish :)

Aashish guided us for half day to Baby Taj, Taj Mahal, the Agra fort from around 1pm through past sunset. He spoke fluent English, knew the history of the sites well, pointed out the importance at each place of interest and even when there were crowds and we were short on time at some places, he did NOT cut corners but took the time to explain the historical significance of details we would have missed had we gone on our own. We appreciated his professionalism - he is licensed and you could tell he had went through the required training from the government tourism board based on the familiarity of facts shared, his knowledge on the subjects in relation to other Indian historical events on the timeline, the way he handled our Q&A, and the overall manner he approached and treated his clients. There were, however, a few times he stopped our tour to take phone calls for a new assignment which he made us stop and wait while he discussed details - we didn’t like being put on hold since we were already short on time. We didn’t mind when he took the first call but the calls kept coming in and each one took longer. He did apologize for the wait。 Aashish was also cognizant of our time, getting us to the Taj right at sunset so we had nice lighting for our photos. He also offer to take many pictures of us and majority of them came out good, and from nice angles that he suggested. That, in hindsight, was priceless. He never hurry us which I appreciated being on a private tour, but was able to politely keep us aware of time so we kept moving to cover the various parts of the tour. From the start, I was very against visiting jewelry shops or shopping stores but because Aashish presented in a non threatening and non obligatory way, we decided to let him take us to a mosaic store where we watched a short demo of artists making some very intricate art work, similar to the tile work done at Taj Mahal. It took less than 30min and was not far from the Taj. We didn’t feel we wasted our time as it was fascinating to watch the demo. It was past 7.30pm when we parted and we had a long drive back Dehli. If we had more time, we would not have mind stopping the second place he suggested. We wish our tour operator in Dehli (who set up the one day tour Dehli-Agra) didn’t mess up because we could have spent more time with Aashish and see other sites and learn more from him. We do not hesitate to recommend him and would definitely look for his service again if we return Dehli. In summary, we were very satisfied with Aashish service and I tipped him twice the amount I actually was told to pay. He worked hard and deserved it. I offered to write him a review without him asking for it (there are agencies out there who force their customers for a 5 star review). * we also have experiences with other guides in India during our trip ** attached photo of aasish in our car, sharing a popular street food made of radish.
