This was the best tour we have taken yet in India. So informative, fun, and varied. We are here for business so we only had the weekend to explore and this fit perfectly. Our tour guide Hari picked us up at the airport and made the experience seamless. From check in, to queues to restaurants, every time was wonderful coordinated. When got to Arga our local guide joined and gave us so much background on the Taj and Fort it really came to life. He even pivoted to take us to shops we were interested in and craft breweries we would enjoy. On top of that I worked with the tour agency directly to make some minor changes to fit our schedule and they were happy to help. I highly recommend the tour to anyone.

Itinerary
630AM– We leave Delhi and drive towards Agra. 10AM- The Taj Mahal They say that there are two kinds of people in this world. Those who have seen the Taj Mahal and those who haven’t! Today we will experience the the world’s most recognizable and beautiful man-made structure. Over the course of this tour we will talk about many mysteries and hidden secrets about the Taj Mahal. Like the other Taj Mahal which was to be built with black marble adjacent to the White wonder! Towards the end of this visit you will have consensus on the fact that no other entity in this world personifies eternal love better than the Taj Mahal!
We head to the banks of The Yamuna to visit the magnificent Agra Fort. It has a prominent place in the history of Mughal India. Some of events that happened here in the 15th and 16th centuries went on to shape the history and geography of modern India. The fate of Agra Fort is entwined with that of the Kohinoor, one of the most famous Diamonds of all times, the defeat of Hemu the last Hindu King of North India and the great rebellion against East India Company in 1857 which set up the British rule in India. Some interesting stories include the Stolen Gates of Somnath Temple by Ghazni, the Chains of Justice of Jahangir and when Sherlock Homes visited Agra Fort regarding a Case!

The tour of Agra was simply a dream. Agra is a stunning city with so much history and tradition! The fort and the Taj Mahal were breathtaking, no less. Thanks to the guides who accompanied me throughout my stay in Agra, I learned a lot and it was obvious that they have a deep understanding and familiarity with the history of the Mughal Empire. They took care of all the logistics, I didn't have to do anything except listen, they even took care of taking stunning photos for me, which is of course a big plus when you're traveling alone. I am grateful for the opportunity to visit Agra and hope to return again soon!
Private car with air conditioning and plenty of room. Both of my guides Balwinder and Balwin were very knowledgeable and incredibly profesional, one of them focused on driving but in reality both of them are excellent guides and provided really good conversation as well while traveling in the car. Both Taj Mahal and Agra Fort have been experiences like no other, they are the kind of construction for which the word "marvellous" exist. Lunch is not included in the fee, which was clear in the offer, but the guides took me to a good indian+continental restaurant in which I decided to have indian food and it was also a good experience. This is my 3rd experience with this agency here in India, I really would recommend them to every foreigner wishing to explore this country, they can be trusted with your journey; they also remind you frequently about how reviews are important for them, which in this case is a good thing because I'm sure this feedback has helped the agency to keep only the best possible guides.
This was the second time I had seen the Taj and it was just as magical the second time. We were privileged to have Balwinder as our driver. I have had Balwinder as a driver in Jaipur in 2023. It was nice to see a familiar face when we came out of the Delhi airport. Balwinder is a cautious driver and gets us safely to each location. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. While in Agra, our guide was Raj. Raj was also very knowledgeable and knew all the great spots to take the most amazing pictures at the Fort and the Taj. We went to the Taj around 5pm. There were less crowds and the weather was so nice. Both Raj and Balwinder had great recommendations for lunch and dinner. I have taken several trips with 5 senses over the years and they never disappoint. Thanks again for giving us a great Incredible India experience!
This tour was well worth it & gave us an incredible experience. Sanjay our guide was knowledgeable and made our experience at the Taj Mahal & the Red Fort so much more meaningful with his story telling & knowledge about the history. Lunch was great as well. Would 10/10 recommend!
We had an amazing tour of India’s Golden Triangle region over three days and two nights in mid-November. The tour was led by our tour guide Hari Balwinder Singh (5 Senses Tours) and his network of local guides. Our group of 7 (including two kids aged 13 & 11) flew from Kochi to Delhi, where Balwinder met us at the airport with a warm welcome and a lovely, spacious 10-seater van (complete with a dedicated driver). Our tour of Delhi included a visit to the Qutub Minar minaret and the Swaminarayan Akshardham, as well as a "drive by" of the Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential residence) and the India Gate. Balwinder and our local guide also took us to a lovely gastro pub that served very good local cuisine. Then, we headed to Jaipur, where our guide negotiated with the hotel to make sure that our included dinner would be available despite our late arrival. The next day, Balwinder introduced us to our local guide and we all travelled to the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), the Govind Devji Temple, a nearby local market, the Amber Fort, the Jantar Mantar, and some local vendors. It is worth noting that our local guide for this day was astonishingly knoweldgeable, well-connected, and experienced (he knows everyone, including the PM!). That evening, we drove again to Agra, where we spent the night in order to get an early visit to the Taj Mahal and some local vendors before our return flight to Kochi. Overall, the tour was extremely well planned and managed from beginning to end, and enabled us to arrive in plenty of time for our return flight. At each location, the local guides that Balwinder connected us to were knowledgeable, well-spoken, and kind, and during our many hours of driving our driver was very professional, indefatigable, and extremely accommodating in helping us find rest stops when needed. As our main handler, Balwinder was completely dedicated, knowledgeable, and committed to ensuring that we had a great time. We highly recommend him!
The visit was both enlightening and inspiring, offering us a deeper appreciation of these historic landmarks. The Taj Mahal, with its stunning architecture and intricate details, left a lasting impression on all of us. The guided tour provided valuable insights into the history and significance of this magnificent monument. Additionally, our time at Agra Fort was equally enriching, as we explored its vast expanse and learned about its strategic importance in history, while taking in the beauty of the structures within. Cannot say enough about the guides and our overall lead guide. They are what made our trip so wonderful and fulfilling.
The tour was amazing and the team catered the day to my scheduling and interests. I was a little uneasy about being a solo, female traveler but 5 Senses and Vivek were able to erase all of those concerns by picking me up directly at the hotel and ensuring safe spaces throughout the day. The Taj Mahal experience was incredible with Rajul as our local guide, sharing exactly the right amount of information about the history and the local area. Vivek insisted on a photographer, which I wasn’t super happy about as I hate being in pictures, but he knew better and was totally right that they were needed to really capture the moment. We also visited a local artisan shop where they shared the amazing history of their craft and family. Be careful if you have extra time to shop, it could get dangerous in here will all of their beautiful items for purchase :). We had a wonderful local lunch and went on to Fort Agra which was the perfect way to close out the story of the Taj Mahal and the local history. I definitely recommend enduring the longer car ride from Delhi to Agra if you have the free day and have never seen the Taj Mahal. It’s worth it!
What an amazing day. At last I managed to visit India and amde it to the Taj Mahal! The monument is more beautiful than in the pictures. Five senses tours had sent a lovely and clean SUV and an incredible guide who made this tour memorable. We also saw the majestic Agra Fort. Lunch was included as well. This was a dream come true and a top quality tour. I would highly recommend this company.
Hari and Deepak gave an excellent tour that was attentive to my interests and needs. Great experience! They were also very helpful with photos. It is well worth the trip from Delhi.
Balwinder, our tour manager and guide made sure we were comfortable from the minute we got in and until we got out after he dropped us back at the hotel. He made sure all our needs were taken care of. He also ensured we covered all highlights of the itinerary. We had a wonderful lunch which everyone in the family enjoyed. Overall, the experience was top notch and I highly recommend this 5 senses tour to anyone who wants to do Agra in a day from Delhi.
The view was amazing, also gave us information/background about the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Very friendly and going out people.
This was another excellent 5 Senses tour (we have had many with them). Our cultural ambassador and driver was Balwinder Singh, a wonderful guy who we now call a friend. As we had asked for two nights in Agra in our customized experience, and since there was a full moon, we were able to see the Taj at dawn and in the moonlight. Magical! Don't be lazy and miss the early morning Taj--great light and fewer visitors. We also visited interesting Agra Fort, where Shah Jahan was imprisoned by his son when he wanted to build a second, black Taj (and bankrupt the state). You can sit at the window where the Shah gazed at his beloved monument during the eight years of his captivity. In addition to Balwinder, 5 Senses booked a local guide who was knowledgeable and happy to answer our many questions. Finally, for lunch or dinner we highly recommend Salt Café, near the Radisson where we stayed. The food and service are great, and we ended up eating dinner there both nights. Homework suggestion: stream the Hindi film Jodha Akbar to watch before or after visiting the Fort to see how the Moghul court looked in its glory.
The Taj Mahal lived up to its reputation. I had been planning this trip for decades now. Finally I got this opportunity visit Delhi on work. I booked the day trip to Taj run by Five senses tours. Balwinder picked us on time and we left in a comfortable air-conditioned car. The Taj was breadth taking and even more impressive than imagined. The guide was outstanding and made it an enriching experience. We also saw another spectacular monument, the Agra Fort before returning to Dlehi by late evening. Very highly recommended.
We were picked up from our hotel and driven to the Taj Mahal, picking up a guide en route. We had the most amazing experience. The guides brought the whole experience alive.. sharing the history of the buildings and the characters involved in their creation and their journeys through life. No question was left unanswered and we had such fun.. with aspects we would have missed if not for the guides intricate knowledge. It was, in summary, one of the most amazing days - the guides were great company, they were informative amidst spectacular scenery. What was not to love?
Balwinder took the lead - driving, organising, sorting anything that needs sorting and keeping you safe. He thinks of the little things - from an air purifier in the car to holding your water and jackets so that you can take photos. Raj of the Taj joins you at the Taj Mahal and knows all there is to know like the back of his hand. From the history and creative photos using the marble, to where to find the bizarre outline of Einstein’s face in the marble - he’s got it all. After lunch, Raj stays with you to help you tour the fort. The history there is amazing, as are the views across to the Taj itself. Throw in some stops at a local rug shop and one to a marble manufacturer, and you’ve got a great day. Expect an early start and late finish. From a hotel near the airport, it’s 3 hrs to the Taj, both ways on a very decent toll motorway. Highly recommended. Picture of Balwinder and Raj.
Very efficient, prompt and relaxed day trip to Agra from central Delhi. Pickup from hotel and driven straight to Taj Mahal. A relaxed visit with a very knowledgable guide and then on to Agra Fort. Again, a relaxed but well-informed visit followed by a stop for lunch and then back to Delhi. Excellent guide and driver. A really good day!
A long cherished desire was fulfilled when Five Senses Tours organised a guided tour to Taj Mahal. It was a memorable experience with Balwinder making sure we had a comfortable and enjoyable journey from Delhi. The Taj Mahal indeed is the greatest romantic monument. The sheer beauty and elegance is mesmerising. Balwinder told us fascinating aspects of the Mughal Empire during which great works of monuments happened. It is a must do in any travel bucket list.
