Jai was a great tour guide who helped us see things we wouldn’t have seen if we’d explored independently. After a visit to the Jama Masjid, he guided us through the chaotic streets of Chandni Chowk and the markets. This gave us a glimpse into proper Delhi, including interesting places we wouldn’t have found on our own - the merchant’s storage area and a beautiful Jain temple. We also enjoyed a rickshaw ride to get from the meeting point to the first stop, which was an experience we’ll never forget! We’d recommend Jai’s tour to anyone - the highlight of our trip so far.
Jai was a fantastic guide who explained everything thoroughly and made sure we were all safe. We had a great time on his tour
Nice tour, Jay has been very flexible and friendly with us. I’d definitely recommend him. Many thanks
Very thoughtful and passionate guide, deeply connected to this neighborhood. Shared a lot of unique insight and perspective, it was a very memorable experience.
This tour of old Delhi was great! Jama Masjid, rickshaw ride, jain temple, spice market and more. Guide was so nice, took great pictures, and was very knowledgeable. Great experience.
Jai Singh paced the tour nicely, giving enough time for us to look around and feel the atmosphere of Jama Masjid, the narrow alleys of the old town and the markets. He gave us an excellent introduction to the rich history, food and culture.
Don’t think twice and book this tour! It was honestly one of the highlights of our time in Delhi. Jai, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and thoughtful. He took us to places we never would have been able to find or experience on our own, and I really appreciated how seamlessly he navigated all of the communication along the way. From the rickshaw rides to the little unexpected touches—like receiving flowers at the end, everything made the experience feel very special. Old Delhi and its neighborhoods can definitely feel overwhelming, especially if you’re visiting for the first time, but having Jai with us made everything feel easy, comfortable, and seamless. I’m so glad we decided to do this tour and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Delhi!
Informative, organized, and approachable. It was a fairly priced experience and a thorough walk through the neighborhood with a true expert. He was also able to answer broader questions on Indian history and culture with ease.
I’m a solo female traveller and my accomodation arranged this for me the day I arrived into Delhi. Jae was an excellent guide and I felt very safe taking in the sights, the smells and the sounds of this incredible part of the city. A good balance of culture and food, calm and chaos. Thanks for a lovely afternoon.
Our advisor was very knowledgeable, and he was very friendly. His presence was very good. I really enjoyed it and would certainly recommend him.
We had a fantastic experience with Jai. He was very knowledgable, and shared lots of interesting history of Old Delhi. He showed us around the area by foot which was a great way to experience it, we were thrown into all the vibes, hustle and bustle, and positive chaos which made it feel so authentic. We made stops to drink tea, visit temples and chat with locals which was nice. I really recommend this tour, walking is far better than experiencing it on a rickshaw!
As an experiential tour operator, I hold high standards for field expertise and execution, yet Jai Singh exceeded every expectation. His depth of knowledge, passion for his work, unyielding dedication, and flawless delivery make him exceptional in every sense. I wholeheartedly recommend his services.
Fabulous way of exploring the historic Old Delhi! Jai is extremely knowledgeable and whisked us from spot to spot while providing interesting context. The spice market was a real highlight and boy was I sneezing. Really enjoyed this tour and especially appreciated the fact that he came to find us in the other side of the metro station when we got lost.
Usually on free walking tours you learn a lot about the local culture, traditions, religions, and history of the place. We hoped this will be the case too like we will learn about different periods of New Delhi, at least the basics like who founded it, what was the city’s purpose and history and the stuff like this. The guide was happy to show us around interesting local places but not very helpful in getting quality knowledge. He was more focused on making the point that the British are devils responsible for all the underdevelopment of India: both the modern one and the pre-British one. So overall the guide was kind and it was a nice walk but we didn’t learn much and had to do another trip to get the more factual information
Excellent informative tour of some of the more hidden places of Old Delhi that a tourist may not venture to alone
I too notch services by Jai Singh in old Delhi he took a care of our family and we really enjoyed his company
It is a very interesting and entertaining tour. Jai is very knowledgeable and kind. I recommend it 100%
Jai Singh is an amazing guide. Deeply knowledgeable on local History and traditions he takes you on a journey through small alleys and into old homes. He clearly loves showing old Delhi to his visitors. Highly highly recommend !
If you only do one tour while in Delhi, definitely do this one. Definitely the most worth it, because you will discover amazing places that you wouldn't have discovered on your own.
With so many tour options, I was fortunate to have selected Mr. Jai Singh. Among other things, he was an absolute gentleman, a Delhi historian, an overall friendly and affable person to be around who was willing to push the limits to REALLY show me the underbelly of Old Delhi. Positives: *He really knows Delhi and the backstory for each of the places visited. *He listens to you! I provided him with a list of things I wanted to see and he delivered. And, had add-on's and surprises on top of that. *Hey, I'm a first timer here. HE offered hotel pickup. Thank you *He reads the room well. He displays a genuine interest when I was tired or needed a break as well as pushing the pace when I was ready. And, I SAW Old Delhi like I hadn't in my previous two visits. *Although I'm sure it's part of the cost of booking with him, he OFFERED to pay for miscellaneous items out of his own pocket . He paid for drinks when we were thirsty; out of the generosity of his own heart, he paid for the snacks and Haveli visit. What an absolute gentleman! Mr. Jai Singh was in large part, a reason why I thought India was so great. *We visited a Haveli! Don’t know what a haveli is? Book w/ Mr. Jai Singh for this quiet retreat. Negatives: None On the fence but not enough to drop his score: *It became obvious early on in my trip that guides, drivers, anyone in general had some sort of agreement with different vendors. This trip was not about shopping for me. Yet, every guide including Mr. Singh took me to a store to 'view.' I left with a 130.00 USD scarf which I did not intend on purchasing which my wife ended up loving so there's that....
From meeting Jai and the quick tuk tuk ride to the mosque, we knew we were in good hands. His knowledge, manner and understanding of what would appeal to us made the whole morning truly delightful. Another fabulous quirk was Jai’s ideas when it came to photos and settings. If you book this tour, settle in for a wondering introduction to Delhi culture.
An excellent, informative and enjoyable tour by the very friendly and knowledgeable Mr Jai Singh. Through WhatsApp we received clear and ongoing communication and met up easily. The tour took us round many interesting Old Delhi spots and we very much enjoyed a couple of rickshaw rides and chai stops. The only way to see and experience the real Delhi. Highly recommended tour and guide
Great afternoon in Old Delhi, seeing parts you might not stumble upon yourself with interesting context from Jai.
Jai was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, and personable, and generous. I mentioned that I was interested in my photography so he went out of his way multiple times to find me unique “hidden gem” spots. He helped me track down my ancestral home. The tour was meant to be 3h and he spent an extra hour just out of a desire to go above and beyond. Just superb! Highly Reccomend.
I really enjoyed the tour with Jai. He was an encyclopaedia of knowledge! I especially loved the chance glimpse of the pigeon trainer! It was really helpful to talk beforehand and I felt very looked after the whole time. Thanks again Jai
Jai was really warm and pleasant, had some great insights into the Masjid and the overall area - this is a great option for people even within Delhi to explore the historical side of Chandni Chowk. A great afternoon!
Fantastic walking tour from our wonderful guide. He really went the extra mile, even though we were running late to arrive he worked late to take us to the spice market and complete the tour. Great snacks as well! All courtesy of the tour guide.
Brilliant tour with a very knowledgable guide! Jai went above and beyond, showing us areas of Old Delhi we would never have come across, treating us to street food, and surprising us with a secret rooftop for sunset. Would recommend!
I did this tour in the morning and it was the perfect way to see old Delhi. Jai knew all the hidden spots and even treated us to some delicious tea. An incredible day thanks to the incredible tour guide, thank you so much!
Explosion of sights, sounds and aroma. Coming from a western world, this was the best introduction to old Delhi where chaos is poetic. Jai was a great guide with almost British sense of humor. Jain temple is not be missed, a hidden gem of serenity amongst relentless hustle bustle.
Mr. Jai is a Great guide, giving you the right Experience in Dehli, he knows every hidden corner of the city and looks forward to show you. Not turistic, just life!
Our Delhi city tour started with a local Indian guide and just one additional traveler from the U.S. at Jama Masjid, the stunning 17th‑century Friday Mosque. From the towers, we enjoyed a breathtaking view over the busy courtyard and the endless city beyond. Next, we explored the spice market – truly a feast for the senses! Everywhere we looked, there were sacks filled with colorful spices and rich aromas that made us sneeze and laugh. We tried refreshing lemonade and the best chai we’ve had so far, and freshly baked flatbreads with different sauces at a nearby stall. Everything was incredibly tasty, mildly spiced, and unbelievably inexpensive – just one or two euros per person. The tour was a wonderful experience, full of fascinating insights into the city’s daily life. We highly recommend it and want to thank our amazing guide for sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm
We had such an amazing time with Jai! He showed us so many hidden gems in the old town we would never have known about. His knowledge of all the places we visited was unmatched. It was genuinely one of the best tours we’ve ever been on.
Visiting Delhi from Europe, I initially felt overwhelmed by the scale and energy of the city. This private walk made navigating Old Delhi feel comfortable and enriching instead of intimidating. Having a knowledgeable local guide allowed me to relax and truly observe my surroundings. The combination of major landmarks and hidden gems gave me a well rounded understanding of the area in just a few hours.
I can only recommend the Tour. Informative as well as entertaining, IT IS well spend time and you get a lot of information and impressions of Jama Masjid, Hidden alleys of Old Delhi and the Spice Market.
My Experience, from my first encounter on line with Jai, to me being safely returned to my accomodation after the tour was just lovely and considered. On top of which, it was my birthday - and - again - Jai made this an incredibly special and memorable day - blending perfectly with the others in our tour group. We were immediately calmed by Jai's relaxed method of imparting some incredible and interesting history and knowledge - among the hustle and bustle of a densely populated city. I was taken back to times gone by - the Moghul Empire, the impact of the British .. the Dutch .. the others ..... the human miracle that was Ghandi .. I walked through the aromas - strong and inviting of a spice trade - past and present ... the tailors - their craftsmanship .. the jewellers ... the people .. the markets ... times gone by were also the moment I stood there .. taking it all in .. with a very calm and knowledgeable Jai who deftly shepherded us through the melay .. on and off rick shaws and through the labrynth back streets - where the monkeys, the dogs, and life continue .. Thank you Jai - I will be seeking you out again, on my return - for more! I highly recommend this tour - if you are solo and female, you are in safe hands .. if you are a group - you will enjoy each and every moment. From Nassim in Australia
Excellent tour of old Delhi. We went places I would have never found or would have never dared to go alone. Mr Singh offered many explanations and is very well informed.
This was the last tour of our week in Delhi and Agra. All have been good, but the four hours or so spent with Jai and driver Jas was by far the best! Collected from our hotel (with plenty of pre communication on WhatsApp) we asked if the tour could be amended a little bit as we’d been to one of the destinations already. Not a problem, a quick call was made whilst driving and a new destination was added. No questions or hassle. We visited a fascinating haveli with a coffee stop while there and then onto the spice market area. An immersion into the old town, on foot for 30 plus minutes and then in a tuk tuk for probably 20 mins or so . Interspersed with facts and sights , all in perfect English. Oh and we had a fab lunch stop for a lassi and snack, nice clean restaurant, don’t worry! Jai is an absolute gent, down to earth with a good sense of humour. The spice market was amazing it was our second visit and we wanted to return, but this was so much better than the first. Prepare to sneeze! We finished with a foot walk through the wedding drsss and then jewellery areas , you’d never find them without a guide. Just 👌
It was a great experience. Our guide, Mr.Jai Singh is very knowledgeable. Out friend from UK was very happy with how everything was explained in detail.
Jai introduced us to old Delhi and shared many interesting facts and best snacks, thanks so much for the time together!
Today I enjoyed a wonderful guided tour with Jai Singh. He is a very experienced guide with a wealth of interesting knowledge. It was a pleasure to be in his company, experiencing daily life in Old Delhi and learning about its beautiful buildings, mosques, and temples. He showed me hidden gems that I would never have visited or discovered on my own. I felt very safe and at ease in Old Delhi, and I had great experiences with both the local people and Jai. Thank you so much!
We had a wonderful time visiting Old Delhi with Jai! He showed us so many things that we could not have seen by ourselves. On top of that he has a degree in history and that really makes a difference! He was so helpful and also allowed us to book a very nice restaurant. I really recommend his services for vibrant visit and experience with a nice guide
Our guide Jai Singh was excellent. He mixed funny stories and historical details of red fort and old city markets
The most wonderful, authentic and cultural tour through Delhi old town, markets and mosque. We were lucky to see the start of Holi week, so colourful! Had some great street snacks and chai along the way and went from chaos to calm as Jai took us down some of the quieter lanes. Jai was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate and I felt very safe. Recommend 💯
Super professional and knowledgeable guide, flexible and reassuring at all times. Thanks for this memorable afternoon.
This was a fabulous tour through Delhi Old Town with Jai..he shared the history and took us to places we would never have ventured to on our own! Shared food experiences with us and went beyond our expectation. If you are in Delhi for a short time, we would thoroughly recommend this tour with Jai..it was a 5/star morning!
Jai gave excellent communication and was attentive to make sure we met when I was cutting it fine time wise. He gave a great tour and I felt looked after. He gave a personal touch mentioning his upbringing a few times which I really appreciated. He has an excellent ethical approach to tourism and deep respect for the working community we are visiting here, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jai’s tour to anyone looking for an interesting safe adventure around the old city. Sarah :)
Great tour, Jai went to great lengths to accommodate us and give us a great experience. We were able to see parts of the Old Delhi market that would be very difficult to navigate without a local, and try street foods that were safe for us as travelers. 10/10!
Today we did the Old Delhi Heritage Walking Tour with our guide Jai Singh. Our 1st time in India so Delhi could be an assault on the senses and it was but in the best possible way with Jai explaining everything and immersing us in the culture and history of the city. Starting at Jama Masjid, the great mosque of old Delhi with its magnificent Mughal architecture we had lots of time to experience its historic and present day significance. Jai helped us navigate the narrow lanes of Old Delhi & explore the spice markets. We loved Naughara - Row of Nine Houses. Jai made sure we experienced local masala chai tea, rickshaw rides and a tuk tuk. The vibrant street like and colourful sights will stay with us. We 💯 recommend this tour and the dedication and knowledge of Jai Singh together with his personal experience results in a high quality experience for us the visitor.
