Delhi Full-day Private Guided Tour

Mr Vishnu Singh signed up with us for a full day tour for the next day. He said his rate was INR 2,500 for the day. We agreed and also agreed to meet at a location point for a full day tour. After agreeing, and a few hours later, he stopped responding to his whatsapp messages. His one question was "What car will you be driving'? I thought that was an odd question. Though I have a Mercedes, I did not want to answer that. May be that's why he stopped responding. I believe this was very unprofessional. Such Guides should be barred.

Our family of 4 (17, 19yo children) spent 3 days with Vishnu in Delhi. He and Mr G (the driver) picked us up from the airport, took us by our hotel to drop off luggage, and then began our adventure. Vishnu inquired whether we just wanted to see the top sites, or experience the real India - of course, we answered the latter. This turned into an amazing cultural exchange of information since we had him all to ourselves. We could go our own speed, ask endless questions, change the plan according to our whims or energy. We experienced street side chai, halwa, paratha, along with a Jain temple, a bicycle rickshaw ride in Old Delhi, the dollar market on a Saturday afternoon. Vishnu also took us to the Lohdi Colony to see how these neighborhoods are organized and the Tibetan settlement, explaining how India handles immigrants. Our experience of India was immensely enriched by our time with Vishnu. His drivers are professional and adept at the insanity of driving in Delhi. The vehicles were immaculate, stocked with snacks and bottled water, big enough for all of us without screaming TOURIST. We cannot recommend Vishnu highly enough.

We booked Vishnu as our guide in Delhi as i was traveling with my family so i wanted my kids to learn about Delhi. It was a great decision to hire vishnu bhai as the guide. We learn a lot from him. He is very friendly and we felt very comfortable with him for the entire day. We mate as strangers and now we are the friend for life. I highly recommend him to anyone visiting Delhi.

Can’t ask anything more, I was travelling as solo female for business, it was my first visit to India so I decided to get a sense of culture and heritage. I was free on Sunday so I booked this day tour which is organised by Vishnu, who is a true gentleman. I loved the way he tells the stories about all the places. We went to quite a few places, old Delhi and Qutub minar was the highlight of the tour, Lunch was awesome. The most important thing was that I felt very comfortable and safe during the entire tour. This is the perfect tour of Delhi one can have in a day. Our guide was smart enough to understand what we want. The Cycle rickshaw tour in old delhi was fun. Vishnu is an amazing tour guide and a local host. He help us to customize our travel plan and also help us to find some awesome places to stay in budget. He we well on time to pick up us from our hotel with his car and chauffeur. The car was very clean and we felt safe while the tour. We were in India on a group tour but our last day was free so we decided to have a private tour guide to take us around. We have seen all the major attraction of Delhi with our tour group so we request Vishnu to customise a day tour for us and Vishnu did a great job. Our only day in Delhi with guide Vishnu was a great one! We were picked up right on time from our hotel and taken to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib (Sikh Temple). Vishnu explained in depth the history of the religion before taking us inside the Temple and to the kitchens to see how food is prepared which feeds thousands per day for free. Then onto a highlight for the day the Mughal Gardens at Rashtrapati Bhawan. Unfortunately this garden is only open for 2 months (Feb-March) but so worth visiting if you can. After we get a chance to see the ancient stepwell close to India Gate “ Agrasen ki Baoli” , this place is out of this world, we learned about the Step well first time. We recommend anyone going to India to visit at least a single step we’ll. From here we visited Majnu ka till, Ashokan Pillar from 3rd B.C. From here we briefly visited the Purana Qila or old fort. We had been due to spend time here the day before and knowing we were disappointed at not going there he made the effort for us to at least see some of it. This place is a photographers paradise and its a shame more visitors to Delhi don’t go there. There is also a lake where you can capture photos of Ancient walls & buildings. The Qutab Minar was next on our list. This 73 metre high tower amazingly was built in 1193. Along with this and the other buildings there plus Vishnu’s explanations made for an interesting afternoon. Sadly Vishnu was only with us for 1 day as I know we would have been more wiser and gained more knowledge & insight if we had been fortunate to have had his guidance over the whole of our time in Delhi. We visited all the highest of Delhi with vishnu. He is very interesting person. We loved the way he dressed up. Cycle riksho tour in old Delhi market was awesome. We had lots of fun. Vishnu explain us about all the places we visited. Off course we recommend to everyone.

If you are going to Delhi and want to explore non touristic places and local life then we recommend you to contact Vishnu. He is very passionate about his city. We book this tour but as we were the second time visitor so Vishnu understand this and change the complete itinerary. We visited many less non touristic places but they all were very interesting.
