We were allocated a room (109) right next to reception. This was despite the fact that the hotel reception knew we were getting an early flight so needed to be up at 5am and despite the fact that hotel reception would also have known that a party of about 40 guests were arriving at 3am. So at 3am we were woken up by the 40 or so people standing in reception for about an hour being checked in, chatting and laughing and even shouting to each other. I eventually got up to try to ask them to be more quiet but there were too many of them to make a difference. I complained to the reception desk in the morning when we checked out. They said they understood and would escalate to their manager but I have heard nothing since. To have had an already short nights sleep needlessly cut by a further 2 hours was very disappointing. Very poor service and disappointing response to the complaint. Make sure you ask for a room as far from reception and the bar / restaurant as possible. The location of this hotel is very convenient but once you are taken there by the staff you are essentially "trapped" and hence have to pay high food and drink prices.

Sonu the airport supervisor met us at the check in hotel counter in the international arrivals terminal. We were tired and jetlagged after 24 hours of flying. He made the whole operation smooth as there is extra security clearance needed to stay at the airport overnight. I can't compliment him enough for being friendly and accommodating. The rooms were good mostly quiet with some noise as expected being a 24 hour check in service. Breakfast was pleasant and the additional well being services a bonus I loved my aerial view from the window watching people check in for the flight and yet being far enough away not to hear those sounds. I will be back.
Staying here makes perfect sense IF you are connecting in Delhi from one international flight to another (pretty rare?) - in which case you can access the hotel from airside (follow the signage, it's above the lounge) and don't have to go through security and immigration again. If, however, you are connecting from domestic to international or vv you will need to exit and re-enter again, probably through a different terminal, so any benefits of staying inside the terminal are lost. I feel this should be made much clearer on the website. In my case, I arrived on a domestic flight in T1 and took the free airport shuttle bus (fine) to T3, then followed the clearly marked 'Hotel' signage inside the terminal to the back left corner by oversize baggage. I had no trouble getting into the terminal with my mobile boarding pass for the following day but reviews here indicate that's not the case for everyone. The desk was attended but I still waited about 15mins for someone to come and escort me through the bowels of the airport to the hotel. NB I tried ringing multiple times from the bus to give them advance warning but none of my calls were answered. My bags were scanned and tagged and the employee informed me I wouldn't need to clear security again in the morning but that was incorrect as I was flying international so I had to go back into the terminal and join the queue. The rooms themselves were fine - clean, comfy beds, though only windows are to an interior courtyard. But really not worth the premium price you pay (nearly £300 for one night!) for staying inside the airport unless you're doing international>international. It would have been much cheaper and easier to stay in one of the many airport hotels in the vicinity and get an uber to the terminal in the morning.
My stay with holiday inn was outstanding it is a great spot to just chill if you have a long layover in Delhi. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. The resturant is a great place for aviation enthusiasts as it gives clear unrestricted views of tarmac. The bed was super comfortable aswell. One thing that really stood out to me was they had labelled all the switches in the room. So your not turning everything off and on to find the right light.
DO NOT BOOK FOR A STAY AT THIS HOTEL. YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND. The hotel will not allow you check in; even though, you have paid for the hotel. Let's say that you book a stay depart from Terminal 3 and the Airline change the departure to Terminal 2. The hotel requires you must depart from T3. The hotel will not refund the money if the terminal changes. This is an absurd requirement. Cost me more than $900 (USD). Can't get a refund and can't cancel.
