Marlon our driver and guide was excellent. His knowledge of the Island was excellent. We had a brilliant time at the YS falls. It was a small part of paradise. Our guide took some wonderful photos and my son loved the rope swing at the top of the waterfall. Marlon didn’t rush us at any part of the trip. We stopped at a local restaurant with lovely food before heading off to the Floyd pelican bar. We were taken via a fisherman’s boat to the bar in the middle of the sea. This was not to our taste but that’s our personal preference as others may like it. (Teenagers will get bored quickly with no way to return earlier). Marlon was so lovely that we have booked another trip with him today to Rick’s Cafe.

Swim shoes definitely needed, still slippy so care needed but guide that takes you around is very helpful & takes loads of photos for you. Our full day trip from Negril to YS Falls and Pelican Bar surpassed anything we had hoped for. First and foremost, our tour guide Marlon was incredible. We could not have asked for a better guide. Marlon is a great guy who knows the entire region intimately and is generous in sharing his knowledge of every town that we passed through on our way to YS Falls and then to Pelican Bar. YS Falls ended up being a ton of fun. Our guide at the falls led us on a very short hike up the various levels of falls and showed us exactly where to step as we entered the water at each level and waded towards the falls, enjoying the mildly strong current caused by the waterfalls. The highlight was grabbing hold of a rope swing and swinging out and dropping into the water at the base of the largest falls. Our guide at the falls took one of our phones and did a great job of documenting our time there. The Pelican Bar is a very cool and unique experience. An eight-minute boat ride, in which we got a glimpse of a pod of dolphins, ends at a bar on stilts standing in the middle of the sea. Nothing to complain about when you’re drinking beers while sitting on the edge of the bar looking out over the Caribbean. All in all, this is a great way to spend a day in Jamaica, especially with a tour guide as knowledgeable and friendly as Marlon. If you’re going to do this tour, you can’t do better than spending it with Marlon.

MARLON IS THE BEST! Had a great time at YS falls and Floyd's Pelican Bar. Marlon had all the local information for great food spots and hang outs. We also used him for our private transport to the west end from the 7 mile beach area. He even drove us to the airport from the west end as well. Always at a reasonable price and always let us stop anytime anywhere with no rush ever. Best driver we had! MARLON IS THE BEST!

We visited Negril for my 30th birthday and booked a tour with Marlon. It was the best decision we made. YS Falls was beautiful and the staff helped us take some great photos. The pools were relaxing and peaceful. Marlon shared cool facts about the area, took us to Peter Tosh’s gravesite, and found us a great spot for oxtail. The boat ride to Floyd’s Pelican Bar was smooth and fun. My wife, who’s usually nervous on the water, had a blast. The bar itself was a vibe and a perfect way to end the day. Marlon was friendly, professional, and made sure we were always comfortable. 10/10 experience — book with him if you’re visiting Jamaica!

Our driver was great, I just didn’t read the fine print about what this actually was. The money you pay upfront is just for the driver. It’s over two hours one way. You have to pay 25 per person for the falls (which were amazing!). Then you have to pay 25 per person to take a boat to the pelican bar. Then you have to pay for all food and drinks…….. hundreds more than I thought. Fun though!

Our family the pleasure of spending two  days with Marlon in Jamaica this week.  He is professional, courteous and a great tour guide. Our first day trip with Marlon was to Rick's Cafe.   Although we only requested the Cafe, Marlon took us souvenir shopping and to visit some caves beforehand. We explored the caves and Marlon detailed their purpose as a meeting place and also explained what "Sea Beef" were.  Rick's Cafe was great, we stayed around four hours, jumping from each platform level before having lunch and a few beers (be careful of the tourist pricing!).  Marlon was kind enough to give us as much time as we needed. The second day trip was to YS Falls and Pelican Bar.  YS Falls was beautiful, we were able to tour the site and relax in their pool as long as we wanted (something you'd never get from a bus tour vs. private transfer).  After YS, Marlon took us to a local restaurant to eat.   The food there was fantastic and not "tourist" priced, which we appreciated. Pelican Bar was the next stop and Marlon made sure to select a licensed boatman to get us to and from the bar.  We stayed at the bar for couple hours then returned to the hotel. During both trips Marlon shared his knowledge of Jamaica.   Detailed the great Peter Tosh's contribution to The Wailers and Bob Marleys legacy and where he was laid to rest.  We also stopped by the Waterloo Great House to learn about its history as the first building to have electricity in Jamaica. We felt so comfortable after two days with Marlon that when our daughter and her boyfriend (19yos) decided to travel to Dolphin Cove, we didn't hesitate to ask Marlon.  They had another great day with him and he even stopped at the Negril sign and took pictures of them. Marlon is the way to travel in Jamaica.   He's personable, and more affordable than the big private bus tours.  The extra time spent at each location would never happen with bus tours that hurry you in and hurry you out. Plus all the extras that he threw in at no additional cost.  Trust me and call or Whats App Marlon!  You will not be disappointed!!!

YS FALLS was a nice laid back experience. Don’t waste your time with the Pelican Bar. Not a great vibe & nothing to do but drink overpriced Red Stripes. Driver (Marlon) was great. Very friendly and informative. He taught us about the medicinal plants that are all around us while in Jamaica.

I have used trip advisor for a long time. Rather frustrated right now. Booked this excursion on a day that showed the trip was available. Got charged. Got a message from the tour company that the waterfall isn’t open on the day that we scheduled it (Mondays). No money back, and no trip either.

The falls were beautiful! It’s awesome they think safety first and assign a person lifeguard/cinematographer!! Area was clean and was nice to have a red stripe after.

Went out his way to show you parts we went through and had so much knowledge not what you just read in books but he made my 10 year old son enjoy learning and trying different fruit he has never had before.

Everything was wonderful and not full of crowds. Very authentic Jamaican experience. We also stopped for an amazing lunch and met a very nice family.

The falls are beautiful lots of hidden costs be aware Don’t be rushed by the driver take a change of clothing you will get wet

Our excursion with Marlon’s Tours was a wonderful experience. We were a group of 8…4 kids and 4 adults with Marlon but more members of my family followed in their own cars. We were picked up from our villa in Negril and spent a full day with Marlon and our driver exploring the south coast of Jamaica. He was a great guide…stopping along the way for pictures and when our kiddos needed some fresh air. We went to YS Falls first and had as much time as we wanted. The falls were a highlight of our trip. We paid admission directly to the falls. It was very reasonable. We went to Floyd’s Pelican Bar next. I’m glad we went but I don’t think I would make the effort to return. We paid $140 to a boat operator to take the 8 of us from the beach to the bar. You may want to negotiate this price before heading out. We were not expecting it to be that costly for a 5 minute ride to and from. We stayed about 45 minutes before returning. All in all, Marlon was a great guide all day and I would definitely him for anyone looking for a tour guide. He was prompt, reliable, kind and attentive. He even got my kids ginger ale when they got a bit car sick and later stopped and got us shrimp from a seafood stand. He’s an A+ operator.

Booked through Viatour which allowed us to book this on a Monday. Marlon was quickly in touch to explain that YS Falls is closed on Mondays and arranged another date without issue. Marlon was punctual and very helpful throughout the day. The tour was brilliant and I would not hesitate to recommend him. Thanks again

This was an amazing tour! Marlon is comunicative and friendly. Pick up from the hotel was very chill. Marlon is extremely knowledgeable about the area and is flexible depending on when you get hungry or what you're trying to see. YS falls is stunning and Pelican bar is so fun. Marlon makes it really easy!

One of thee best excursion experiences we have had in Jamaica. The water fall was beautiful and the Pelican Bar was amazing. We were a big group of 10 and had the pleasure of having Marlon and his Uncle be our tour guides for the day and let me tell you...they were the best!! We were able to past by historical places in between and learn a little about Jamaica from them. They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of and they gave us really good vibes that we trusted them enough to watch our belongings while we all enjoyed each excursion. That is how safe we felt with them. They picked us up at 8:30am and did not get back til about 8pm because they were nice enough to take us to a gift shop and local restaurant after all excursions. 100% recommend a booking with Marlon and or his Uncle.

If you are looking for a privet tour guide Marlon was awesome. He is out of negril. We stayed there a few nights and took us to YS falls and pelican bar. He’s full of island knowledge and even made a few extra stops to show us things along the way. We also stayed a few nights in Ocho Rico’s and wanted to go to blue hole and Dunns falls. We loved our day with Marlon so much we asked his rates to drive up there to take us. His prices are extremely fair so we booked another day with him. Before we arrived in Jamaica I saw so many company’s and excursion options it was very overwhelming. We felt like VIP. Marlon was our guide and Orlando was with him. They picked us up from our hotel at 08:30 am and took us to YS Falls, stopping at Peter Tosh’s grave site along the way. Once at YS Falls, we were assigned a guide who led us through the falls and took our photos with my phone and did a very good job. As we were leaving we saw they do zip-lining and asked Marlon if it would be okay. He smiled and said to take as much time as we wanted. After zip-lining, we were ready to go. Marlon showed us the freshwater pools, shopping, and food areas to ensure we were ready and that we were getting the full experience. He then drove us to the Pelican Bar and said to take as long as we wanted. Wow!!! We could’ve stayed at the Pelican Bar all day!!! They had a full bar, took cards, had food, great swimming, it was so nice. However, after two hours, we called for Marlon to get us. We asked him to bring us to his opinion of the best jerk chicken place in Negril, so he did. Though, he said he’d wait for us to eat, we got our food to go as we were ready to be back at the hotel. He dropped us off at 05:30 pm. We had a great time. Marlon took good care of us and drove safely. We highly recommend Marlon Tours!!!

Great communication and Marlon was straight forward and accommodating. You are paying for a driver and tour guide for the day, essentially. He was patient and will go with the flow as you desire. Probably more expensive than hotel transport options but was worth the certainty. Was a perfect option for YS Falls and the pelican bar.

My sister and I went on this trip and naturally we were a little scared of venturing out being two women. But Marlon was absolutely awesome and made us feel safe. He was an absolute darling and made the whole experience stress free. We recommend him to everyone.

Good experience. Our driver Vincente was kind and helpful. I do want to note that this is only transportation and nothing else however it says it includes transportation to pelican bar which it does NOT.. It provides transportation to the boat that'll take you to pelican bar. The boat will cost an extra $25 person and that will suck if your not prepared for it.

An absolute must do, we had the best time & made some fantastic memories, our driver kept is safe, shared with us so much knowledge & even took us to the bamboo arch & peter tosh resting place along the route to YS Falls & Pelican Bar. Both of which might i add where absolutely glorious this was the best excursion in my life & I recommend this man to everyone visiting Jamaica. Tip your guide at YS Falls and expect to pay around £25 per person on the boat across to Pelican, Budha & his son took us across on the boat & it was fantastic. Enjoy this one its awesome

We booked the Pelican Bar and YS Falls tour for a day trip and Marlon was AWESOME! He went above and beyond and delivered an amazing experience. I would highly recommend! He was familiar with the guides and knew the roads very well. He also knew a lot about the history of the island! Great ride and tour!

Marlen was FANTASTIC, very accommodating & knowledgeable of the area. Our transit was about 1.5 hours and we were informed about all the areas we were passing during this time. Any question you have, he will have answer. Fiancé and I did not feel rushed or pressured, just enjoyed our time! Highly recommend! (YS FALLS & PELICAN BAR).

*FULL DISCLAIMER ** marlon was GREAT— very accommodating & genuinely nice. Reading between the lines is important here when it comes to the description of the excursion. What you’re paying $120 U.S for Is JUST the transportation to the Falls & to the shore of pelican Bar. 1. YS falls is an almost 2 hr drive from Negril . I don’t want to imagine how far it is from Montego Bay. Pelican bar is maybe 20 mins further than YS. A lot of winding & bumpy roads . 2. There is a $20 admission fee for the falls that is not included in what is paid thru TripAdvisor . We came on a day after it rained so the falls were BROWN, when they’re normally crystal clear & beautiful. Total buzzkill. There are several pools throughout that you can lounge @ — marlon does not rush you so it’s to your own leisure. 3. Pelican bar is accessible by boat— you pull up to someone’s house & met by a guy with a boat. Not sure if Marlon meets with the same guy every trip, but we asked how much he wanted to take us out to pelican— it’s basically at your discretion to negotiate a price. He quoted us one price & wanted more money when we got back. He got NOTHING extra. We gave what we agreed to At the beginning. We understand the hustle culture of Jamaica but GTFOH, man. Pelican bar was a cool experience but if you wanted to order food, it’s a 45 min wait for mid cuisine. There is no bathroom (obviously, you’re in the middle of the ocean) & with the 2 hr drive back, just don’t bother, don’t drink LOL Definitely not your more orthodox excursions & it’s not worth the money, in my opinion. Grossly inflated . But again, marlon was great. Showed us things along the way that were interesting facts.

Marlon Tours were excellent and as we arrived at YS Falls at opening we had the falls all to ourselves. Do not miss the zip wire experience. Pelican Bar was great and Marlon was very knowledgeable, and added to a great day.

This was an amazing day. The driver/guide is so kind, answers questions about town and sites. He showed us a great place for pocket pita food! The guides at the falls and horses were excellent, made sure we were comfotable and pictures taken for all excursion. Had a great day and would definitely book again.

This was the biggest ripoff I have ever experience. I requested a full refund. I tired contacting Viator for a refund and all I got was the run around.

YS falls was a great experience with a great guide. The Pelican Bar was beautiful and a great experience. The best part of the tour was our Guide Marlon. He introduced us to some very good people and showed us some great sights along the way. Marlon went above and beyond made our first day amazing.

Booked this trip with Marlon Tours (876) 279-6741 or (876) 428-1770. Marlon was setup right outside our hotel (Legends Resort). We told him that we wanted to do YS Falls and Floyd's Pelican Bar. Marlon took care of the rest. He contacted both places to make sure they were going to be open (with COVID and everything). We started at 8:00am and it was a full day of adventure. YS Falls was far more than we realized. You can spend a whole day there if you want. It is amazing what they built. We asked Marlon to stop for lunch somewhere on our way to Floyd's and we stopped at Las Vegas Cafe outside Black River. It was good food, but service was a little slow and we spent 1 1/2 hours there. After lunch, we were only 20 minutes to our boat ride out to Floyd's. I don't think I can tell you anymore about Floyd's Pelican Bar than you've probably already heard if you've searched it. It is exactly as you would think. Advice: Take water shoes!

Marlon was waiting for us ahead of pick up time, being on time was great and meant we could head off promptly. Marlon was very courteous and a fantastic driver (especially up some of the winding mountain roads). We have been on other tours and found the tour with Marlon was by far the best. It was fantastic having such a knowledgeable personal driver. There was lots of room in his vehicle and nothing was too much trouble; he waited with our belongings whilst we enjoyed the falls and we were free to leave whenever we wanted. It was nice not having to rush off before we were ready to. I would not hesitate to book my next trip with Marlon. Thank you so much for being our guide Marlon!
