Tour To Black River And Ys Falls

This was the best trip of our entire holiday! It all ran very smoothly and Everald was a fantastic guide - super friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable. The waterfalls are just stunning and everything about this day was fun and memory making! I highly recommend this tour!

Picked up on time in an air conditioned mini bus. Just 3 couples which was great. The first stop was the Black River cruise which took us part areas that had been devastated by the 2025 hurricane (very sad sight). The river trip was fun, lots of wildlife and a good, informative guide. Onto the YS falls. We pre-ordered lunch from the little restaurant near the transport terminus. The falls are beautiful but you MUST wear water shoes, don't worry if you don't have them they are $10 from the gift shop. Plus get a waterproof phone holder, also available from the gift shop. There are changing facilities at the base of the falls. Be prepared for the chilly water as you are taken fully into the water and the guide then takes photos of you with your phone/camera. Once you have finished you return to the restaurant area and we had a nice goat curry and a cold drink...goat curry that seemed to be more goat bones than meat but still tasty. Overall a good day out and a chance to see a bit of the local area en route.

Excellent day of exploring the west and south of Jamaica with Everald and Nicole. We were picked up promptly from our hotel in an air conditioned minibus. With 30 years of experience, Everald was very knowledgeable and was happy to share his island with us. We were told about all aspects of the sights in a relaxed atmosphere. Nothing was a problem. We had such a great day that we booked a second trip later in the week.

Loved YS falls Black River trip okay but that’s not the fault of the people who run the trip. The did their best despite the destruction due to the hurricane. Lived Peligan Bar. Tour guide was excellent.

Nicole and Everald are very good tourguides. They explained a lot about history and nature and everything else that we wanted to know. We had the chance to stop at Peter Tosh Mausoleum which was very nice of them. Had a wonderful day Tour with them. Highly to recommend and anytime again. We enjoyed a wonderful day today with Everald and Nicole touring YS, Black River and Floyd’s Pelican Bar. They were very informative and we learned a lot about Jamaican culture on the rides to and from. Erica and I highly recommend that you use Everald and Nicole for your tour(s) in Jamaica. In addition to English, they speak Italian and German. They offer trips to the east side of the island as well to see attractions located in that area. We will 100% be contacting them the next time we come to Jamaica!

Fantastic experience. Our Driver Shande was brilliant. He look after us very well and kept us entertained during the journey. The experiences are highly recommend and well worth doing.

We had an amazing experience! Our tour included a visit to the breathtaking YS Falls (where we swam in the natural swimming pool and jumped down from the vines), a scenic drive through the picturesque Bamboo Avenue, a boat tour along the serene Black River, and a relaxing break at the unique Pelican Bar, perched on stilts in the sea, where we enjoyed rum-based cocktails. For lunch, we stopped at a charming local restaurant, savoring freshly prepared lobster paired with an ice-cold original Red Stripe beer. The organization of the tour has been excellent, and the guide was very kind and knowledgeable. For Italians: Everald speaks Italian very well!

From start to finish the trip was fantastic. Everald our tour guide was amazing. Kept us entertained on jamaican history & facts throughout our whole tour when on the road. As a family of 3 it was a private trip on a fully air conditioned minibus, which was ideal with us having a 6 year old. YS falls was our 1st stop & they are just beautiful not too overcrowded. However, sea pumps are definitely recommended though. Here we enjoyed a lovely lunch of jerk chicken rice & salad & drinks & our little boy e enjoyed fried chicken & chips. We then moved on to the River Cruise, our guide on board the boat was fantastic lots of interesting information & we were lucky to see 3 🐊. After the cruise we went to the Pelican Bar in the middle of the ocean. Sadly for us it was torrential rain so a tad disappointed. However if the sun was shining then it would be a beautiful place to enjoy a rum punch. You can also buy food which looked lovely. All in all i would recommend this trip 100%, Everald is just fantastic, an amazing tour guide. Be sure to book, as you won't be disappointed. 😀

This tour is so underrated what an absolutely brilliant day ! This is a tour we was told could be called off if there wasn’t 8 people booked on, luckily there was enough people and we got to go ! From Montego Bay it was around 2-2.5 hours travelling but it was absolutely worth it. The black river was brilliant the driver gave out a lot of information and we did manage to see 4 crocs on the way which he fed from the boat so we could see them up close. The food provided was brilliant and we are also travelling with vegetarians and they catered for them too YS falls hands down is the most beautiful waterfall I have ever been too it knocks dunns river out of the water it’s just absolutely perfect ! Our tour guide took one of our phones and took pictures of us all throughout the whole trip he was absolutely brilliant and I have over 200 photos and videos from the day !!! He did this for free we did tip him at the end because it was just amazing. I just wish we could spend more time there ! The whole place was absolutely beautiful I would 100% advise anyone to do this trip !

We booked our first day tour with Everald and had an amazing time. The following day our tour guide (not Everald) cancelled last minute and we called Everald and he saved the day! We ended up spending the remainder of our trip with Everald. He took us to the best lunch spots that were hidden gems. He took complete care of us and made sure we saw and did everything we had our heart sets on. We had such a memorable and stress free trip because of him. He is so friendly, caring, funny and all around a great person, you can't go wrong spending your vacation with Everald.

We (family of 4) took this tour with Everald last week. It was a great day. Everald booked the tour according to the weather forecast so we had perfect weather. YS Falls was really fun - We loved swinging into and swimming in the falls! Be sure you swim in the pool afterwards, it's so refreshing. The boat ride on the Black River was also beautiful and interesting. Finally, we drove through Bamboo Alley (exactly as named) and finished the day at the Pelican Bar. Definitely worth a trip there! (A bar on stilts in the water - have to boat out to it!) Everald is a great guide, has been doing this for years and really knows his stuff and his way around. He also provided round-trip airport to resort transportation. He is punctual, dependable and careful. Highly recommended!

Everald tours picked us up and dropped us off at the Montego Bay airport. Took us to our Negril resort and toured us for a day to the YS Falls and Floyd’s Pelican Bar. Everald is a great driver, he is very knowledgeable about Jamaica and loves to share his passion for his home country. I highly recommend him. Fluent in English and Italian and speaks some German!

An all-round great experience! The tours were perfectly organized, yet everything felt more like a trip with friends than a classic tourist program. Every now and then, on the way, people would spontaneously stop somewhere or put in a little surprise, which made the trips even more personal. Thanks to Everald’s local knowledge, mass tourism was often bypassed and Jamaica was experienced from its most beautiful side. It also gave you insights into real Jamaican life – authentic, unimagined and far from typical tourist staging. You immediately notice that he knows exactly when and where well-known spots are crowded and which places are really worthwhile. There was always honest communication and nothing artificially “talked beautifully”. The food was also always fantastic – deliberately with small local vendors to support them and get to know Jamaica authentically. Absolute heartfelt recommendation – made personally, warmly and with a lot of passion!

Sensational tours! We did two day tours with Everald and Nicole! We jumped into waterfalls, swam through waterfalls, experienced incredible nature, but also a great diso ride! Jumped into the Blue Hole, chilled in Rick's cafe, shared the water with glowing microorganisms, ate on the street, enjoyed coconut and fresh fruit - got to know fireball - it was just sensational! Nicole translated everything into German for us, Everald speaks three languages fluently! Those who did not explore Jamaica with them did not experience Jamaica!!!

Everald!.... if you are lucky enough to know him you will never forget him. Jamaican guide who speaks very good Italian and knows every corner of this island. He took us for an aperitif in the middle of the ocean at the Pellican bar.... we went up the falls on foot.... ate lobster on a deserted islet and the next day ate lobster at his friend's house on the sea. Courteous, kind, nice, patient and cheap, nothing to do with the prices of the Tour Operator. If you go to Jamaica look for it!

Everald is unique! He manages to engage with his polite ways and his professionalism. He speaks very good Italian and has been working with them for several years. He showed up on the beach near the Merrils, and we immediately liked it, a real stroke of luck! We had heard of the excursions made with the "tour operator" but they were very expensive and we would not be well so, for two days we ate lobster the second at a friend's house, not at the restaurant, unique and very true experience! Waterfalls, climb up the black river to see the crocodiles, then the Pelican (cocktail bar off the sea), picnic on the islet. Definitely to recommend to everyone!!! Bravo bravo bravo!!!

Everald is a Jamaican guide who speaks Italian very well. He has a comfortable van for traveling. I did the YS Falls and Black River tour with him and I was alone. It was a plus because we were able to see and do many things more calmly. In addition to the visit to YS Falls and the Black River, we attended a gospel mass, drank and ate a coconut and had lunch with lobster and grilled fish on the beach and we went to the Pelican Bar. A bar built in the middle of the sea. The day was very pleasant, Everald is very pleasant and attentive while driving. Prices are on average lower than those offered by other resorts. The journey up the river by boat is certainly a unique and unforgettable place. Crocodiles were everywhere and accompanied us on this excursion.
