Had an amazing time! Went and saw some great wildlife and even got to touch a few. The lifeguard, captain, and bar tender were great. My mom was a little scared they comforted her and made her feel safe. Really appreciate it guys!!

What an amazing experience from start to finish. The boat captain & his sidekick were absolutely amazing, friendly , knowledgeable and made us feel completely safe. Highly recommend
Yawmon!! Captain Jace and his amazing team made our anniversary very special!! We got to see and learned a lot more than we've expected from this experience. That reef has something very unique, which I will not spoil here for the future travelers. We were conveniently picked up near our hotel and brought back by Captain Jace himself. Many thanks from Brian and Snizhana. ♥️God Bless!!
We did the snorkeling tour and added fishing. We had a blast! Jace and the crew were so kind and accommodating. Our 16 year old and 19 year old said it was the best excursion they have ever been on! They loved the cliff jumping! We will definitely use them again when we return!
Everyone in our group agreed this was the highlight of our week in Negril! Tippy, Todd, and Marco were the most excellent hosts - 10/10 recommend these guys!! They took us to a great snorkeling spot (much better than the tour we did with our resort the day before), some awesome caves for swimming, and then to Rick’s. They were a blast and made the trip very entertaining while also being mindful of our safety and the environment. They provided drinks, music, information about the area, and most importantly, a fantastic time!!! Hope to visit again and will absolutely book them!
No words and can’t thank you enough for an absolutely fabulous time! Booby Cay next!!! Don’t second guess booking anything with the best there is - you won’t regret it - thank me later!! This bunch does it the right way - all the way!!! One Love 🇯🇲❤️
This was the best excursion! Very fun and laid back. Rum punch provided on the boat was delicious. Snorkeling experience was knowledgeable and absolutely beautiful. We looked to have a better snorkeling experience than those on other boats around us. We ended our trip at Rick’s. 10/10 recommend!
Great time and great people! Took their time and no rushing at all - really appreciated the whole time! Thanks a ton!! Definitely worth it - Enjoy!! ❤️🇯🇲
So kind and attentive! Cannot recommend someone more. Captain Jason and his lifeguard are so kind and fun to be around, it would be such a shame to miss out on going on their tour, please go! x
We spent an afternoon snorkeling and taking the sunset cruise with Capt. Jace Allen and First Mate Demoyne. They were fantastic! The glass bottom boat offered us a view of the sea as we motored to the coral reef. Once there Demoyne led our group around the reef pointing out different animals and features. We then traveled to the cliffs and snorkeled in the caves and finished our time at Rick's Cafe for sunset. Capt. Jace shared his expertise of the waters, wildlife and the area. Both Jace and Demoyne were friendly, outgoing, fun and were eager for us to love Negril as much as they do. Highly recommend their tour services!
Fun glass bottom boat. Crew friendly and helpful Snorkeling was good. Several different species small fish and starfish etc Cliff diving at Ricks fun Music just a tad loud but overall great day
Captain Jace Allen Glass Bottom boat trip is the best. Crew goes all out to give you a great experience. Snorkeling was fantastic, saw variety of sea life. Crew makes sure you are comfortable, safe, and plenty of drinks. This family was teen to grandparents so looking for a family trip and this was perfect. Thank you.
We had an incredible experience with Captain Jace Allen. They went out of their way to insure we had a great experience. From the snorkeling at the reefs to lunch at Rick’s Cafe to the ride back to our resort as the sun was setting they made sure every part was an experience we would never forget. My wife was a little nervous about getting in and out of the boat and they could not have been any more encouraging and accommodating. We definitely recommend them to you if you are looking for an experience you will never forget. This was the highlight of our vacation and can’t wait to come back and do it again.
The hosts were amazing, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. The trip to Rick's Cafe was an experience we'll never forget and the sunset on the return trip was beautiful. Would highly recommend!
We had the most amazing day with Demoy and Tippy. We snorkeled at a reef for a while and then rode over to a small cave and snorkeled. We rode over to Rick's cafe and there were hundreds of people waiting, and they said we are gonna go somewhere better. We went to this much larger cave and just snorkeled and hung out. He encouraged us to swim under a cave wall into a smaller open cave and it was so cool. As we were leaving, these catamarans rolled up and hundreds of people jumped into the water and were headed into the cave. It was originally a 3 hour tour, but we just cruised around until sunset lasting about 4.5 hours with no additional charge. I would have done this same tour again had I been staying longer. Why are you still reading this? Book these guys!
We stayed at the Riu Palace in Negril and they picked us up right on the beach which was awesome. Our guides went above and beyond. We did snorkeling around reefs and into caves. We got a history lesson and saw a lot of the island. We decided to skip Rick’s cafe and do more exploring around the caves, which they happily accommodated for us. The rum punch was delicious, the beers were cold, and the vibes were immaculate.
good and nice me and my friends had a good time it was 16 of us and we all had a ball and its a good experince
10/10 boat riding & Snorkelling experience. Captain Jace is fun and he makes sure you return with smile on your face. And best part on our tour we got chance to encounter 4-5 dolphins. I would recommend him to all my friends and family. Keep it up Captain Jace.👌🏻👍🏻🫡
Amazing guys that took us to Rick's cafe. Good music, good vibes, definitively recommend this trip when in Negril, Jamaica.
We had a great day snorkeling, seeing the cliff side of Jamaica, and visiting ricks cafe. Captain Jace and his brother and cousin were each part of the day. Captain Jace offered to give us a ride home via car so we could stay past sunset at Rick’s. We learned more about Jamaica in that 20 minute car ride than any other part of our trip. He is very animated, honest, and passionate about his country and his business. Going through Jace and his crew is a much better option than any hotel excursion!
We had a great time with Captain Jace and Tippy! They picked us right up on the beach at our resort on Bloody Bay in the afternoon. There was a family of 4 already on who had snorkeled and did the Booby Island tour with him that morning. The kids were super excited to tell us about their morning adventures. Our first stop was a reef for snorkeling. Captain Jace and Tippy were very helpful in getting our gear ready and getting us in the water. Tippy was in the water with us and would point out various marine life. I was a little worried when a really big catamaran showed up beside us, but hardly anyone on that boat got in the water and they left pretty quickly. I would say we had a good 40-45 minutes in the water. Saw a huge stingray-very cool! On the way to the pirate caves we had a couple encounters with dolphins and Captain Jace would stop the boat so they could play with us. So cool! It was a glass bottom boat, so Captain Jace would point out the changes in water depth, fish traps, etc along the way. We were able to snorkel in and out of a couple of pirate caves, which was very cool. The water there is amazingly clear! They then dropped us off at Rick's Cafe. They were both great about helping us get off the boat and onto the ladder there! We had about 30-40 minutes there. Time to make a couple jumps, enjoy a cold beverage and watch the pros jump. Such a fun atmosphere. On the boat ride back we had the most amazing sunset! We've never seen a more beautiful sky! We dropped off Captain Jace, then the other family and it was well after dark when we arrived back to our resort. Tippy did a great job taking care of us! There was a mix up with us being able to pay in cash at the time ( our fault, not theirs) and Captain Jace and his wife were very gracious in the misunderstanding. It's easy to book directly with them and I would recommend doing that. They were very quick to respond to messages through FB. Loved being with a small group on a small boat. The glass bottom was a really cool feature and the seating area was covered. so no worries about too much sun. Would highly recommend!
We just finished an amazing afternoon with Captain Jace. Can’t say enough good things about the experience. Just to demonstrate that this gentleman is about the customer and experience, he spotted a couple of dolphins during our cruise and took the boat over to where they were swimming so we could see them up close and take photos. The afternoon was supposed to be a 3 hour cruise, but because of the extra adventure, was extended to 4 hrs. We would highly recommend him for an excursion!
Picked up on time with a quick snorkelling trip en route to ricks cafe where we all took turns to jump off the cliffs. Would highly recommend
Captain Jace gave us an absolutely brilliant day and his guidance and knowledge were superb. Easy to book and picked us up from our hotel. Fantastic!
Really cool experience snorkeling in caves and along the shoreline before jumping at Ricks! Captain Jace and crew were great guides! Very accommodating and flexible for pickup and drop off. We ended up having a private tour since no one else signed up for our date. It as a perfect excursion in Negril!
Great tour guides. Doubles as bar tenders DJ and security made the trip fun. We had 12 people from 20-70 years old Excellent job
Snorkeling and cliff jumping at Rick's cafe. Fantastic day. My son didn't want the day to end. Our guide was amazing. Good quality equipment provided to snorkel. We enjoyed a locally prepared lunch which made a great change to hotel food. Thanks to Jace Allen for organising. See you next year
Captain Jace and his crew member were awesome. They gave us a private tour of 7 mile beach, the Negril Reef and the cliff side of Negril including the caves. Captain Jace was very laid back and flexible even when our transportation from Montego Bay was running a bit late. He showed my husband a local spot for lunch that was awesome, and allowed us to bring the food on his boat. Captain Jace made the trip fun with his interesting stories about the hotels and properties on the coastline, and once he stopped the boat to jump in and grab a starfish to show us. That was a nice touch. He was like a Jamaican Aquaman on the snorkel part of our trip. He pointed to a lobster going into a hole on the ocean floor and showed lots of fish on the coral. He then dropped us off at Rick's Cafe to rendezvous with our driver. We will definitely use his services again on our future visits to Negril.
The crew on the catamaran was very friendly and fun. The experience we had was not the best, though - but no fault of the crew. The winds were very high that day, so the waves were a good 3' making the snorkeling experience less than desirable. For non-swimmers, this was not a day to try snorkeling. The crew kept up everyone's spirits and did their best in a less than ideal situation.
What a blast! Dream Catcher 2 picked us up on the beach at Skylark. The weather was ok at the moment, overcast a bit but nothing major. We made our way down the beach and picked up a few others, then on to the cliffs. Captain Jace pointed out and provided a bit of background about all of the different resorts, bars, and restaurants along the way. We stopped at a cove and cave area and swam a bit where we were given the option for a little snorkeling. Most stayed near the boat but my husband and I opted for the guided snorkeling tour. I forget his name, but the guide was great and pointed out several things we wouldn't have seen on our own. On our way back up the cliffs we stopped at Rick's to watch that chaos from afar, the best way, haha! Then the torrential downpour started so we had to head back a bit early. Jace is awesome but unfortunately can't control the weather. :) He and his crew, plus the fun bunch of guests on the boat with us, made the best of it and everyone had a blast...lots of music and dancing in the rain! :) We'll definitely be back for a reef snorkel with this crew next year!
We snorkelers with Captain Jace and snorkel guide Keeno on the Dreamcatcher II. Had a wonderful day then ended with cocktails at Rick's for the sunset.
There are plenty of glass-bottomed boats looking for business along 7 Mile Beach, but we would recommend you look no further than Dreamcatcher 2 and Captain Jace. Jace, along with crew-member Andrew gave us a wonderful experience as we sailed under the cliffs towards Rick's Café. They were very attentive and informative and made the trip great fun. The landing stage at Ricks café wasn't easy, but Jace handled the boat extremely well and everyone who wanted to go ashore was able to do so. We recommend Dreamcatcher 2 to everyone!!
This was an unforgettable tour with captain Jace! We paid for the full day trip and it was worth every dollar. We looked around a lot and this trip was the most eye catching especially when comparing prices for value. When we meet up we were greeted and got an introduction to the trip as we left the small port. It was only us on the boat at first but the captain and his first mate Andrew were good company. Soon after we were offered a cold beer which we gladly took and was told to don’t be shy of taking a beer or some rum punch if we wanted to. We sailed out to a nearby reef where we were going to swim and the captain joined us as a wise guide. They equipped us with snorkeling equipment. As we swam around looking at the reef and the pretty fish the captain found starfish and sea cucumbers for us to try and hold, it was slimy but fun to try experience holding it. An hour of snorkeling flew by because of the fun we had, we were even lucky enough to see three sea turtles! Afterwards we were picking some up and they restocked on booze. Playing music and talking to the newcomers was really entertaining as we sailed towards a cave. Here we stopped to swim inside it and afterwards we arrived at Ricks Café. Music blasting away and people cliff jumping, was definitely a cool experience. As we sailed back it was planned that the last of the boat ride was to see the sunset for the final touch of a good day. We can really recommend captain Jace and it is also possible to find him on facebook to hear about other trips or even a personalized trip.
Capt. Andrew on the Dream Catcher II expertly handled the boat (in and out of caves!) and gave a good tour of the cliff side spots in Negril. Keeno (spelling?) led us on some excellent snorkeling and dove 20+ feet to bring us some souvenirs from the ocean floor. Great guys! Spent an hour at Rick’s and enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the way back. We booked them for a private snorkeling outing today. Highly recommended!
Captain Jace and lifeguard Andrew met us with their boat at the pier in Negril centre. These guys were so friendly and serviceminded and really took care of us which made us feel relaxed and comfortable. Immediately after we sat down in the boat Andrew offered to go and buy us something to drink before we left for snorkeling. With some good music on we started off in a good pace so we had the opportunity to watch the beautiful resorts along the cliffs and also got a lot of interesting information from Andrew about some of the resorts and places along the way including some of the fishes we could already see from the glass bottom. Our first stop was to snorkel, which was near a cave. They offered life-vests and snorkel equipment including flippers and then Andrew carefully helped us down in the water together with Jace who guided us into and outside the cave. He let us hold a sea urchin which was super cool! You could feel its spikes move a bit :) we also catched an eye to some other fishes that I didn't remember the name of. The water was truly amazing to snorkel around in and Jace always kept a safe eye on us so we didn't get hurt or lost in any way. Then we left for the second stop which was Rick's café. Unfortunalety, due to the big waves during the snorkeling I started to feel very ill. Therefore, we had to jump off and finish the trip already at Rick's, which felt super sad since we missed out on to watch the sunset from the boat :/ we also missed out on a third stop which would've been a lighthouse nearby Rick's but given the situation it was the best thing to do. However, our short trip was still great! It did even pour down rain for a short while but with Jace and Andrew it felt it was sunshine the whole time. They were very informativ and knowledgable so you could ask them anything about Negril, snorkeling and sealife in general. The communication from where we book until we met up was smooth and quick! For all our questions they always responded within a decent time so it was a professional and serious impression right from the start. So if you want a great and relaxing boat trip with safety you should not miss out on this! We also saw that they offer different trips such as one including lobster lunch but due to that we will be leaving soon we will definitely book that one next time we are here in Negril. Thank you so much Jace and Andrew for a great time! =D
Amazing Day!! 🥰 Booking was easy through the page, and kept in contact up to morning of arrival! And pick up directly from the beach of our resort 😎 Two couples we met on our resort joined us for the tour also! Was sooooo much fun! 🙌🏻 Price was so reasonable for the 6 of us for a private tour! With rum punch, red stripe and soft drinks! 🍹🍻 and the glass bottom boat was amazing to watch through our journeys! Snorkelling the reef, to the stop at Booby Cay island where we watched our meals being cooked, food was amazing! 🍽 Garlic lobster, jerk chicken, rice, veg and bread! Then had a chance to snorkel around the beach area, then onto cave snorkelling, before cruising to Ricks Cafe for free time! The a sunset tour back to our resort beach with the glass bottom being lit up for night viewing and the most amazing lights on board I’ve ever seen on boat! ✌🏻 Highly recommend and will be booking again when we return in June! Thanks so much and keep up the amazing tours! 🇯🇲💙
OK. So right off the bat, do NOT let the lack of reviews here on Tripadvisor concern you. This boat and its crew of 2 are the best! I was referred to The Dream Catcher and its Captain, Jace Allen, through a conversation on TripAdvisor. I found his business page on Facebook, posted and quickly received a response confirming availability and pricing for a private afternoon snorkeling trip. It was super easy to make the reservation and Jace was flexible with my requests. When it came time to meet up, I changed our pick up location at the last minute and Jace was great about it saying “No, problem. That’s the best place to pick up anyway.” He met us at the pier right on time, with his crew mate, Andrew. From the minute we boarded, they both made us feel welcome and instantly at ease. Jace took the time to speak with our driver for the day to coordinate pick up which was cool and then we were on our way. I was pretty vague in advance of the trip. I basically said we want to snorkel the reef for a couple of hours and "whatever." Well, once we were out there with Jace, that turned into a 5 hour full afternoon trip. Jace took us along the coast of 7 Mile Beach, giving us details about the businesses and history of the area before stopping near the reef where we went snorkeling with Andrew for about an hour. He was a great guide and pointed out several things of interest like the famous cannon and anchor. It was THE clearest water any of us have ever seen and collectively, we have been topples like Grand Cayman, Turks and Caicos and St John, all known for their crystal clear waters. Because Jace gave us pieces of bread, the fish were just everywhere. It was amazing. Jace had snorkeling equipment and fins for our use but bring your GoPro or other underwater camera. After snorkeling, Jace drove us around Booby Cay to have a look at that island. I had heard it was closed but Jace said it is very much open and if we had wanted to, we could have gone there for a fresh lobster lunch but I was happy just circling it. We then made our way along the cliffs where we saw younger guys yelling from atop the cliffs. I began to take a picture but Jace warned us that if we give them any signal to jump or take their picture, they will jump and swim over to the boat for a tip. So he made sure we understood that before we got ourselves into any situation. I gave the signal, and yup, a minute later, I had 2 divers holding onto the side of his boat looking for tips which I happily gave them thanks to Jace’s heads up. Jace continued on to show us some caves, literally backing his boat into one. Seriously. A few of us were momentarily worried because it is a fairly small space but Jace reassured us. He handled it perfectly with skill and perfection. Totally safe. When we pulled out of the cave, he gave us time to swim in and around them which was very cool for my group. As we continued on towards Rick’s Cafe, Jace was pointing out all of the absolutely mobbed catamarans that were headed there as well. It was about 4pm at this time. I was kind of shocked because each catamaran was huge and probably held over 100 people. He said there would be 6 or 7 of those plus smaller boats like his as well, but easily 600 people at Ricks if we stayed there. My group hates crowds but, understanding visitors feel it is something they have to do, we asked to at least go by it to check it out. He was happy to do so and pulled right up to the line barrier. We had a perfect view of the jumpers and were super close! It was fun to watch for a few and a friend of mine jumped out of the boat and swam over to the ladder to jump the cliffs himself. But honestly, Jace was right on point with this place. HUNDREDS of people already there and hundreds more trying to pull up to get in. Not our thing, at all. We ended the day on Jace’s recommendation, by leaving Rick's and stopping at a local cliffside restaurant/bar called Xtabi to watch the sunset. There are smaller cliffs you can jump here as well if you want to but it was the perfect place to begin to bring the day to an end. Not at all crowded, with good options for a quick bite and drinks before everyone got back onboard and we made our way back to the pier to meet our driver. Listen. If you want a personalized, snorkeling/boat experience in Negril, there is no one I would recommend more than Jace and the Dream Catcher 2 Glass Bottom Boat. It was fun, safe, reasonably priced (About $60 each for our private tour for 5 hours) and worth every penny. If I ever find myself back in Negril, Jace is my guy! Give him a shot. I know you’ll feel the same way!
