Jamwest Negril Zipline And Horseback Combo

We had such a great time at Jamwest in Jamaica doing the zipline and horseback riding! A huge shout-out to the zipline team, Tyrone, Adisha, Kavoy, and Shabone, for making the experience so much fun. You all were awesome! We also want to give a shout-out to Ian with the horseback riding group. Thank you for helping make our time at Jamwest so memorable! The team deserves so much credit for making this a great experience. Definitely recommend checking out both activities while you’re in Jamaica!

I had the best time on this excursion. Let’s start with the horseback riding. You can’t beat riding horses into the ocean. Beautiful scenery and knowledgeable guides. It was a hot day and being in the ocean with the horses was a once in a lifetime experience. The zipline…. I have done many zipline adventures. My guides Shavaun, extra fyhor, and kewade made the ride down the lines so much fun. They were so engaging. They were high energy and you can tell really like what they do. There were a few others that were scared about going down and they calmed them so they can enjoy the experience. There is something to be said about that. Most guides just have the person turn around. Highly recommend

I am afraid of heights but the zipline adventure was amazing. By the last section of the adventure they had me run and jump from the tower. Great people and a great adventure. We also did the horseback tour. My wife is an experience rider and laughed and giggle the whole time. Riding in the ocean was the ultimate experience for her.

This was so fun! We did horseback riding, ATV and zip lining. Shout out to our guides (Rodger, & FireStar)! 🤗🙌🏼 they were so energetic and made our experience fun!

Had an amazing time! We did the horseback riding first which was so neat. The guides were all wonderful and engaging, which helped make the experience extra special. Then we did Zip-lining which was so fun! 10/10 stars! Flying down the Zip-Line was amazing. We gave the guys new nicknames so they can remember us fondly which are “Hot n Spicy”, “One Love”, “Squirrel Catcher”, and “Sizzler”. We had a blast as “Mama Ninja (not jujitsu, no struggle snuggle) and Bite Wing”. Would definitely do this again. ;)

Great experience! The guides for both excursions were great! Make sure to wear water shoes! You go waist deep into the ocean so be prepared but fun overall

The guides where amazing. Fire helped me zip lining. I would have chickened out otherwise. The guide for horseback riding was also amazing. Forget his name but the hore was Star

This was so fun and we got the best pics to purchase our host was amazing water felt good we also were able to zip line which was amazing as well.

First we did horseback riding with Tony our horses white socks and fresh Prince. They beach and sea were amazing. The horses loved their adventure and our guides were so chatty and live locally. Then on to the zip wire. 7 zip wires altogether. Fire and ryan were our hosts and were so good with our group. One was a bit 'chicken' in their words and they zipped with her. They were so attentive. The view was amazing and so worthing doing if you come to jamaica.

I had so much fun on these adventures JA was super nice at the horseback riding and Mike and Odesha was extremely helpful and fun at the zip lines. Will definitely do again!!!!!

Both were amazing. I can’t say enough about these excursions! The tour guys are amazing. Horse back riding was more than I expected and my tour guide was so informative and made me feel at home in Jamaica. Icon was my horses name. Very well trained and loved the water 😍😍

The guides were soo friendly and made the experience relaxing. The staff themselves were very sweet as well. The food was hot and good.

The activities were good however the service was very poor. I bought 4 pictures for $40USD and they only sent me 1 of the same photo twice. I have tried calling them and emailing them to get the remaining 3 photos that I have paid for and they are being unresponsive. They insist on giving them tips after each experience however when it comes time for them to help you, they are nowhere to be found. Trying to get a hold of them has been the worst experience ever and because of this I will not return. I have no photos to look back on.

The views were great, our zipline tour guides Shavaun & Fiyah made the lines so much fun! Their energy got us all thru the tour even though we were all tired after the first two lines. There was a sweet lil birthday girl who the guys made feel so special the entire time! My horseback experience with Bless & Roger was just as amazing as the zipline, it was absolutely a great experience from start to finish !

Extra Fire and Renaldo were very professional on the Zipline. I was extremely fearful of heights but they helped me to overcome my fears. Those guys were super. Garries my guide with the horse was extremely nice. He’s a very humble young man, he made sure I was comfortable with the horse and the horse with me. He is a gem.

Our 1st tour guide was "Metro". He was very personable, knowledgeable and personable in the best way. His cool demeanor and humorous banter made us all feel at ease and enjoy the tour even more. He was very professional and went out of his way to make sure we all were enganged, informed and entertained. We will come back largely because of Metro. My zipline experience was a bit intimidating and seemed daunting at first glance but our guides, Kemar & Shavaun kept us calm as possible with their cool & humorous banter & personalities. They both seemed to sense our apprehension with the height of the tower and overall safety but assured that we were in the care of professionals and the equipment was safe. Because of them, WE HAD AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I only wish I had tip money to give them for all that they did. They were both AWESOME! Then the two gentlemen that took us on the horseback riding tour were GREAT! My guide was Ryon who was so knowledgeable about the horse, how they're trained and cared for and also volunteered general information on the history of Jamaica and other various topics. His wisdom and knowledge was very impressive and the way he shared deserved recognition. Some awesome things are natural and just can't be taught and Ryon has those qualities naturally. My wife and I had an amazing experience thanks to the both of them. Unfortunately I do know the second person's name but he was very good as well. Lastly The food we had there was DELICIOUS! The Curried Goat, Jerome Chicken, Vegetables and Red Beans and Rice were soooo flavorful! Great amd memorable experience overall.

If you choose to go to Jamwest, DO NOT book through your hotel. We paid less than everyone else by booking directly through their website. They offer combo deals—we only paid $169 for two excursions. Note: If you plan to go horseback riding, be aware that there is a strict weight limit of 240 lbs. THEY WILL WEIGH YOU. A large, muscular man on our bus had prepaid for horseback riding but wasn’t informed of this restriction beforehand. He was 20 lbs over the limit and wasn’t allowed to ride. He and his wife had to switch to the ATV excursion instead. My boyfriend was 7 lbs over, but they let us slide. Pros: - We stayed in Negril, so our shuttle was on time and the commute was short. - The zipline and horseback riding guides were all engaging and friendly. I was nervous to zipline, but one of the guides rode with me three times until I got comfortable. - We rode the horses into the water—deep enough that the horses actually started swimming. It was a really cool experience! - They have lockers for your belongings. Cons: - We didn’t know we should bring cash to tip the staff. They definitely deserve tips, and they should make this clearer in advance. The shuttle buses have signs encouraging tips for the drivers, but we didn’t have enough cash to tip everyone. - The food is not good. - The dispatcher is disorganized. - The horseback ride is short, and you don’t really get to ride independently. The guides walk alongside you and hold the reins the entire time. - Cost of pictures aren't really worth it. Overall: It was an average experience.

Had a great time. Also did the push cart and the #Jamculture and the #pushcart JamCulture was SUPER informative. The guide knew her stuff. Just wish we could have seen some hummingbirds. Push cart was less extreme than expected but the guys were interesting. My wife and youngest are always keen to ride horses and by all reports had a great time. I and the eldest, however are more adrenaline junkies, so we did the zip line. The crew there was really good, knew their job and were fast and efficient and were super entertaining. #FIYAH!!! And on top of all this, they took pictures for you. Other than slow food and a mixup with the food. A good time was had by all. My only thought/suggestion might be that they seemed to want to funnel people through the park quickly. There was a LOT we didn’t see. Aviary, mineral bath, etc. Just figuring a better business model would be to allow people to chill a bit more so they spend more money. WORD OF ADVICE: card machines there are unpredictable. If you can, bring cash. Bring clothes you’re ok to get wet in.

The staff was amazing. We did the horseback riding first and my guide, Birdie was incredible. He really knew and understood the horse I rode. Birdie is an extremely bright and kind person. I absolutely loved the conversation we had and his knowledge of Jamaica he shared. We then did zip lining. Both guides were top notch. I was very nervous and they put me at easy and were very patient. Our guide Fire was on fire! I recommend this company for your excursions 1000%. The excursions are fun but their staff made the experience worth while.

I just wanted to say we had the best time! TJ and my horse Prince were amazing! TJ gave me info about local fruit in trees and cultural connections while horseback riding and then the water with horses was so neat and refreshing on a hot day. They let you gallop and run with the horses which was fun. Thanks for great experience !! Also the zipline guys were fun and made you have the best time. We went on December 30. Highly recommend ! My family had the best time. We also had delicious burger in between and the waitress weee friendly and kind. You also could spend more time there enjoying so much more which as the interaction with birds and animals , and their water park looked fun for little ones.

This was a great day. Most of our party did the zipline first. Such beautiful views and the guides were instructive but also fun. There's so much to see from the zipline and the towers, you don't have time to be anxious about being on a zipline! Then our whole party did the horseback ride with beach swim. The horses were wonderful and you could tell that some of them were really bonded with their handlers. The swim was really fun but it did get a little crowded. We've all ridden before and a couple of us have horses ourselves. The handlers get pushy to get the horses to swim, but not beyond what a normal rider would do for cooperation from a natural prey animal. They aren't harsh with the horses at all. Roger was our guide on the horseback he was great. Absolutely beautiful experience. Riding into the ocean was perfect and the horses loved it too. Ryan and Jas on the zip lines were excellent. Jokes all the way. We all did it. Bit anxious to start but all pros by zip #7.

It was great! The tour guides were awesome! I was scared 😱 with the zip line but Fire and his crew made me feel very comfortable! I definitely will recommend the zip line. Horseback riding, was great! The water was warm the people was fantastic! I give them all 5 stars!

The whole experience was poor no communication they did not stick to the schedule or appt time each time I completed a excursion I waited around 30-45 mins with no communication with the staff communication goes a long way if we had to wait fine but not to be told and just waiting is what gets u frustrated the most the employees seemed to cater to a certain culture and not to all cultures I wasn’t asked to see my photos they skipped me even though I was second in line they ask everyone but me the horse bck riding guides were nice but zip lining they were aggressive in tone an the attitude was awful I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here be prepared to sit around with no direction no help from staff just wasting time on ur very expensive vacation and even the bus’s shuttle go take u bck was not on time can u say horrible experience

Booked through the hotel Riu Reggae - $170 pp . Not informed it did not include lunch. Said we would go to Rick’s cafe after. We get there with no directive on what to do but sit at a table. Sat for 10 mins before someone came to have us sign waivers. Then someone took our food order .. curry goat $20 USD (outrageous) Still no clear instructions. Told to sit in another area and wait for our excursion to be called , another 5 minutes. First excursion horse back riding ..Stefan and his horse Mr. T were very good . Only complaint is the trot to the ocean was shorter than any other horseback ride i did.. thought we would be walking along the coast line but literally just stood in the ocean for like 10 mins for pictures. Mosquitoes feasted on everyone getting out. Came back to lobby and once again no directive . Then went zip lining , 7 short lines . Guides were very good Kemar and his buddy (forgot name) they ensured our safety. Ate our lunch (delicious but still not worth $20usd) after that we were too through with this experience . Didn’t even want to venture to ricks cafe cause like i said it was so disorganized i feared being left at ricks. Was never told it was shuttles going back.. all passengers thought we came together we leave together . Not the case they had shuttle times back to mobay but they didn’t leave on time.

Was an amazing experience. Had a ome employee that seemed like she was mad or annoyed but other than that it was a great experience.

Everything was freaking excellent. Zipline was my favorite!! Instructor where amazing. Very helpful, informative, and diligent. Everyone here is so nice and instructional.

Went to Jamwest for the horseback riding with my husband. It was a terrible experience for me. My guide, Roger, complained the entire time about how much he dislikes his job and dislikes having to talk to us (tourists) because we give him migraines and never listen to what he says. Mind you, he was walking in front of my horse and talking straight ahead so it was nearly impossible to hear him. He criticized everything I did, saying my foot was too far in the stirrups (toes only apparently) and that I can only hold the reigns with one hand with it off to the side. He abruptly took off running without warning me which made the horse run which I wasn’t prepared for at all. Even when we were in the water, he continued to pull the horse around by the reigns. (Think child on a pony ride). Then at one point his hand bumped the stirrup and he of course blamed me for hurting him and not listening. It was not my fault, at all. I’ve ridden horses all my life so this was a terrible, bizarre experience. I hated it. On the flip side- my husband had an amazing guide named Chopper and he made it so fun for him. It was about a 5 minute ride to the water then the guide pulled the horse around in the water for about fifteen minutes then we rode back. My husbands guide did not pull the horse around and let my husband enjoy the experience unlike mine. They didn’t take any pictures for us to buy or anything. It lasted about 25-30 minutes total.

Tristian and Micheal were great guides for the zip lining. I felt completely safe and had a good time. You zip line 7 times that was just enough for me. The horseback was great too. It was about 30 min it’s a trail that leads you to the water then goes back. I don’t like horses so the short simple trail was good enough for me. The staff takes pictures but you have to purchase. My horse was named star and the my guide was named shine. Great overall experience.

Came to Jamaica for thw first time. My husband and I did several tours. We had an a great time! We would recommend this tour!!

We visited Jamwest to do the horseback riding as a mother daughter experience and added on the zipline as a bonus adventure. At our hotel Secrets Wild Orchid we were told that the horseback riding weight was 250. When we got there we found it is 240. That basically wrecked our excursion. My daughter had to go ahead without me. To make matters worse the gentleman that drove me back to the waiting area slowed by every worker he drove past and they asked why he was bringing me back. He would say to them boom boom boom and they would look my way and say ohhhh yeah and laugh. Making me feel incredibly horrible. Mind you our family owns horses so I am not inexperienced. While I appreciate the thought for the horses well being, the care of their customers is not there! To add to this matter when I arrived back at the waitng area I was told by an employee that my portion of the riding would be reimbursed (as I had already paid for the entire excursion- we are required to) and to speak to the representative at our hotel. When we arrived back to the hotel I some with the jamwest representative and she said the same thing as the previous employee had at the park. She told me to come back in the morning and find out the amount that was to be returned. So I did this. When I went back the next day to find out my reimbursement amount, the representative called someone, and then said that I was told the correct wrought and would not be reimbursed. She would not let me say anything otherwise. She showed me a waiver form and said that was that. So not only did I not get my money back, I didn't get to do my excursion and I was made a fool in front of several employees. I have reported this to the company as well. What will they do to correct this? I'm doubting they will even care! But save yourself from this excursion! Go swim with the dolphins instead!

First time Zip lining great experience. My daughter had a meltdown but our guide talked her into continuing and she made it to the end. The horseback riding was informative about the history. Gentle horses.

My friend and I had a great time. Kevoy and Michael at zipline were so fun!! Kevoy made sure I felt safe and talked me through the experience when I got cold feet. My horseback tour guide Rohan was also tons of fun..he made me feel safe and calm on my horse Brick. Everyone was so kind. Great memories made.

Had a great time, booked direct and picked up and dropped off at hotel. Went early to avoid queues on the zipline, horseback and ATVs and all were excellent. Agree with a previous comment regarding the birds being housed in really small cages in the main waiting area. Give them something bigger please. Staff were all great.

I loved every minute of this excursion. Picked up from my hotel in Montego Bay and had a two-hour ride to Negril. Met some very cool people in the group. We started with an introductory video. We received a wristband for each activity. When at JamWest the mineral bath, rock climbing, and water park are included. You must get a locker to store items. You can order lunch if you so choose. My favorite was the zip line. We had Extra as the guide. He was super fun and kept the mood on 10. He mad us all feel safe and protected. There were only three of us so there was no rush. No matter what definitely do the zip line. I really loved horseback riding. It was not my first time on a horse but it had been so long I could not remember any basic steps. The water is beautiful and someone was there to capture pictures.

When I tell you I really enjoyed myself. From the van ride over all the way back Mario was the absolute best tour guide. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. From Stephano my Horse ride tour guide to Too Much aka Fire & Jace my Ziplining guides. I will definitely visit again.

Arrived with my students from the Montego Bay Community College and the facility was well laid out, staff friendly, courteous. The Zipline was impressive, it being the longest zipline in the Caribbean. Food was also great and waterpark fun

I give this spot a 5 out of 5 the food was good the guys at the zip line (Jorge, Xtra, Michael, and Triston) where phenomenal. The horse back riding was fun a relaxing. I’ll definitely be returning.
