Jamwest Atv Tour To Salmon Point From Negril

I went to Jamwest yesterday and had an AMAZING experience! From the moment we arrived everything was top class. The property is beautiful, clean and very well organized. The activities were so much fun - the ATV was my favorite. The staff are super friendly and make you feel safe while having fun. Special big up to the front desk agent who checked us in. He was so welcoming, professional and helpful. He explained everything clearly, was smiling the whole time and made the process very smooth. You can tell he loves his job. Jamwest is a must visit in Negril! I will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Wish we could have stopped to take photos of the farm life we passed and should have been offered a drink of water to get the dust out of our teeth when we stopped.

We had beat time on this activity. The best experience ever. Also they did explain everything properly.

I enjoyed the entire ride, I did have a couple of mishaps but other than that it was an amazing experience.

We had a lovely time at Jamwest. We did the ATV and mineral bath. Jamwest arranged transportation to and from our hotel which made it very convenient for us.

Terrible. The commute there from Montego Bay is ridiculous. They should do a better job at explaining how the commute works. We had a 12PM reservation. The driver came to pick us up at 11AM. We didn’t get to the Jamwest location until 2PM! It took us 3hrs to get there. The ATV ride was quicker than the commute! And the vehicles weren’t working properly, we had to change our buggy two times. A family of three that was wit us had complications from their buggy, forcing us to stop 5 times. The ride was about 45mins, we were done by 3:10PM. Then had to wait until 4:30 for the van to take us back. We spent our whole day there for one little activity. I definitely won’t be coming back here when in Jamaica.

It was ok, I guess I expected a little more ride out of the money I paid for this. They have alot of rules. You can’t really have fun you have to ride in a line behind unexperienced riders. They take through a path in the woods you ride through made water puddles under a bridge tunnel with made water puddles around a couple residential houses you get off by the beach and take a pic or two and then you come back. If it’s your 1st time riding four wheelers you may enjoy this event I didn’t too much I expected to ride with some experienced guides through some cold paths and do donuts and have fun. It was ok overall but not what I expected and you have to ride the dune buggies with another person you can’t drive them by yourself very disappointing. Also the little time you are riding them they have a little shack with drinks they try a sell you while you are on the path which isn’t even long enough to need a drink or anything lol. They give you lockers in to start and you put your items in it they don’t tell you about the shack in the woods so most of us left our monies in the locker it was more of a surprise stop another money grab. The best experience about the whole thing was the DRIVER that got us to Jam West he was Awesome!

4 of my group didn’t get to ride and I’m looking for a refund for them because we didn’t get the group experience that we were looking for

This was an amazing experience. I have done atv in several Caribbean countries however this was the most fun. We rode through an extended house with an opening for the atvs, through water, and the most fun in riding in the sand.

We went to JAMWEST and only did the ATV ride, but we had a GREAT time! It was a slightly challenging course through water and some slightly steep ups and downs. It was also great to ride along the water (ocean) - the view was great! We hope to go back to JAMWEST and do more activities when we go back to Jamaica. It was a lot of fun!

I went to Jamwest,November 28 2023. I enjoyed the ATV, Go kart and also the mineral bath. The staff were very friendly and deserved to be tips. My family really enjoyed themselves as well. I like the Jamaican deal so I will definitely wish you could extend it but I will come back again to do zipline and push kart.

It's was my birthday I did the Atv & Go-kart Your and I did really Enjoyed my self , have lots of fun and laughters , but a don't point is that the mineral bath was closed , was planning to get there for its benefits but unfortunately didn't get to . Overall we had fun but it would have been a better experience if there wasn’t such a large group slowing the line down.

Good and adventurous experience. About a 2 hour ride. Workers were very nice and all about you being safe.

This was our second time to Jamwest. The ATV tour was still fun and safe, but much shorter than last time. Previously we had a good hour and a half ride as advertised. This time the ride portion of the tour was under an hour. The park didn’t appear busy as we arrived prior to our 10 ride time. We shuttled to the ATV area at 10:25. Then had to do the safety briefing, get helmets and vehicles, and do the training course lap. We returned from the actual ride before noon. For $125 per rider, they should do better. There were a couple unsteady riders in our group which may have attributed to the shorter ride time, but disappointing that their abilities cut our experience short as we paid for all five of us to ride.

This was a great experience! I definitely recommend this to everyone! Big shout out to Neil who made sure everyone was safe and made sure everyone had a cool good time!!!

The ATV experience itself was really nice. However, our driver was not what we expected. The driver is the first point of contact for the experience, and customers should not have to encounter someone who is having a bad day, or doesn’t like their job. We enjoyed our experience as far as the ATV riding, but you may want to have a training for your drivers on first impressions for your customers. He is the reason for my 3 stars, because he was not personable, friendly, or communicative. Our transportation going and coming was not good at all.

Complete waste of money we were waiting for 45min pass our pick up time then when you get to jamwest you still have to wait for a long time again just waste of time and money plus you only got to ride the atv for only 20ish mins and you’re going super slow in a line.

I have so many good things to say about this company because they made the experience the best part of my trip. It was my first time zipping and they gave good instructions and made me feel safe. The ATV ride was amazing, the food was delicious and even the souvenirs were cheaper than those at my resort!! I would refer them to my friends and family!!

We enjoyed our tour with Shawn as our guide. He was very professional, safe and fun. I loved driving fast through the trails and enjoyed the scenery. Highly recommend for couples and families. The park itself is very nice too. Take a little bit of cash with you on the ATV tour to have a drink or snack midway through.

We had a group of 7 people and everything from our transportation to the tour was seamless. The guides were so hospitable and made sure we had a great time.

Do Not Book this excursion!!! Absolutely Overpriced! The guides are rude and do not communicate. The tour description is not what you get. We did not stop on beach. Everyone in my group did not get their own ATV. The tour was not 1.5 hours only 45 mins! And after the guide expected a tip. Unbelievable!! Please do not waste your money with these people you will be disappointed.

The description of this trip stated it would be 1 - 1.5 hour ATV/Dune Buggy trip with opportunities to take photos on Negril's famous Seven Mile Beach. We did drive by the beach but did not stop for any photo opportunities. The only stop made was at a stand where we could purchase beverages. We were back within 30 minutes of leaving. Not worth the money at all. I recommend going to YS Falls instead.

This was kind of overpriced. It’s not an hour. Guide was not friendly. Maybe because we were the last tour of the day staff was “over it “. This is not worth the price.

Sorry but I expected more. I am a very experienced rider. So I would not recommend for other experienced folks. I went for a short ride and then had to stop for a break. We didn’t need one. I assume it was just a visit point for the employees. Not something I would do again.

There are a couple of reasons I only give 2 stars for this. The main thing I will say is that the ATV experience itself is okay, but for the price ($115 per person), it's absurd. We did this experience after Jamwest's reopening post-COVID, and the information that we read about it online still shows that they go to the beach (Salmon point). We discovered after already paying for this experience that they no longer go there given complaints from villagers in that area re: the tourists. Fully recognizing this isn't explicitly the company's fault, information needs to be updated online immediately so customers realize up front what they are getting (or rather AREN'T getting). We were looking forward to swimming on a very hot day at the end of this experience after paying extra money to our taxi man just to make it out to Jamwest, so this was very disappointing. The other thing is that the experience is very short, like maybe 30-40 minutes at most. Apparently the course was also changed/shortened after COVID, because the safari experience also had to be changed given villager complaints. In summary (TLDR): I was very disappointed that this ATV tour to salmon point is no longer a tour to salmon point (and this was not evident online), it is more like a 30-40 minute ride on a circular trek for $115 per person, which online made it seem like it was $115 for TWO PEOPLE. I would not have paid more than $30 for this, and even with the "free" inclusion of a trip to the mineral bath, truthfully I would not have paid more than $50. Really wish we had realized all these things beforehand so we could've saved extra hassle to go all the way out to Jamwest and avoid spending over twice what we really would have been willing to pay (we are recent graduates with a LOT of student debt and can't afford to drop $ on things we don't really like or really want to do). On that note, we did also ask if they have a student discount; we were told "it's already discounted" (BS). Hopefully by reading this you'll know what you are getting into; the experience itself is not bad, it is just not even close to worth it in my opinion. On a slightly positive note -- the guy that came with us to the mineral bath was really nice. His name was Orlando; he gave us some notes about other cool places to check out while in Jamaica e.g. the blue hole in Negril (very cool place).

Today my wife and I booked to do the atv tour, the y safari and the zip wire. One word to sum it up - excellent! The atv was fun and there was no pressure to keep up, it was done at your pace. The tour guide in the jeep safari, Aston, was a fountain of knowledge and obviously very passionate about his home island. We saw local wildlife and were given a lot of information and background. We even got to sit on Daniel the Bull! The zip wires were amazing! My wife was apprehensive but Michael aka Hummingbird and Tristan aka Ground Dove made the whole experience truly exceptional and enjoyable. Would throughly recommend anyone to visit!

Shawn Cousins was incredible! He made sure my wife and I were comfortable riding the ATVs which we were and then he took us thru well groomed trails over rocks, thru water and under a covered bridge. There’s a special spot he’ll take you to as well! Great experience!

Our tour guide was amazing!!! (Forgot his names he had short small braids) Definitely coming back to ride the race cars.

Though this was my 4th time ATV riding the guide decided I was too slow or jerked in a practice turn he didn’t like and made me ride with another in my party, citing safety. However, caution is not equate to safety as it was not my first or second time or even third. Interestingly enough the other person In-N-Out group who was driving super slow crashed into a wall and was still allowed to continue. I would think that before asking a person to ride with another perhaps you ask if it’s their first ride or not, I dunno have them go around again, then decide! It sucked! Oh and of course no refunds!!

Shuttle driver we booked through them to get there and back was friendly and waiting Just for us the whole time! Check in was quick and seamless. They have lockers for you to store your stuff in which is nice I believe they were five dollars.We chose the ATV adventure and The guides were fantastic and easy going. When we returned we were pleasantly surprised that they have a free mineral bath which is not to my knowledge advertised on their webpage and was most definitely a highlight of the day. The guide at the mineral bath was friendly knowledgeable. Definitely don’t miss the mineral bath it’s delightful and cold.

Such a fun adventure. Our family of 4 had the best day riding the ATVs at JamWest. The instructor, Adam, was so kind and patient with our kids 13F and 11F. Both of the kids were hoping to drive alone but after trying the beginner loop decided to ride with us instead. They had the best time speeding through the forest. After the ride we visited the mineral bath and the attendant Orlando could not have been nicer. Overall a great way to spend a few hours in Jamaica.

If you've ever been on an atv, utv, or even a golf cart, go elsewhere. Booked a trip that was advertised as "rent a dune buggy" ..... get there and you are part of a group of people who have never been on an atv before and you must follow the leader, can't pass, can't do anything. You are not allowed to use your cellphone for pictures or even have a camera but you can rent one. Complete waste of money and time.

To advance... u definitely need experience to ride. The track is very bumpy. Need upper body strength to control the bike

I had an awful experience with Jamwest. Firstly, they overbooked themselves and did not have enough ATVs for everyone on the tour. Then they told multiple women, including myself and the others in my group that they did not want us to ride alone. We had to ride on the back of someone else's ATV. They only targeted women, no men and they did not have a valid reason to take us off our ATV, they were overbooked. I felt like the employees are sexist and scammed us out of our money. We paid full price and didn't get to drive our own ATV. On top of that, we didn't stop at the beach like we were supposed to, to take pictures. How are we supposed to capture the moment of what we paid for? The tour was shorter than 1.5 hours. We all felt ripped off. Do not recommend.

I had an ok experience with this company. The pick up and drop off were professional. The grounds of the activity were very cool. I'm taking 2 stars because after we rode the practice trail (which is way more loopy and curvy than the real trail) the instructor picked the only 2 women participating and told us that he didn't feel comfortable with us driving alone. He told me that I had to ride on the back of the atv with my boyfriend. And he assumed that I never rode an atv before which was false. I felt targeted and I also felt ripped off. I did not pay full price to only ride as a passenger. I would not have gone if I knew this would happen. Please do better.

I am a humble traveler. I take the good with the bad. And this tour was BEYOND bad. ATV’s were in a terrible state of service as were the helmets. Everybody’s ATV was in the same condition. Ours and others during the tour broke down, ours did so twice and we had to walk back to the shop from the trail. I hazard a guess as to what the zipline equipment looks like. If this property maintains all the equipment in the same manner, well good luck. No refund, no apologies. Been all over and this was by far the worst tour. Dated March 29, 2021.

Book it at the last min and there where able to Accommodate my hubby and I. They have a very long trail. Went through water, a tunnel it was great . Orlando the life guard in natural pool was so great. He convinced us to get it and told us where to sit in the pool to get the best benefits. Even gave us more places to visit in Negril,took our pictures, very personable and told us about himself it was great to see Jamaican hospitality. Supper nice guy. He’s the only one who took the time to get to know us. Would definitely recommend 10/10.
