We spent 12 days travelling around Sri Lanka, starting in Colombo and ending our trip in Galle. We had a wonderful journey, made even more special thanks in part to our guide, Jayalath. He helped us adjust our itinerary when unexpected situations came up, accompanied us to important places such as temples, and shared his knowledge of Buddhism and the spirituality of the country with us. It was very interesting and fascinating to learn about the history of the different places we visited, as well as the beautiful beliefs and values of Sri Lankan culture. Jayalath is very passionate and knows how to share his knowledge in an engaging and meaningful way. He was also flexible and always adapted to our wishes, preferences and any unexpected changes along the way. We really appreciated his kindness, patience and ability to make the trip smooth and enjoyable. Sheron is the best driver, very safe and comfortable. We hired him for 9 days trip around island. He speaks English well, and was very helpful with tips and recommendations for interesting stops along the way. Kind of as a tour guide, he accompanied us to the sites and explained stuff. Sheron is great with kids, as he is also a family man. Very kind and thoughtful person overall! Would recommend anytime.

We were very lucky to have Jayalath as personal driver during our trip in Sri Lanka and the experience was excellent. He is very helpful, always paying attention and available on the phone, and he took us punctually to all the places we wanted to visit. Besides being kind and polite, he also shares interesting information about the country’s history and points of interest, which really enriches the journey. He also recommended places that were not on our list but were truly worth visiting. He has a lot of contact numbers to prepare the best quality of our visit. We had the great pleasure of being accompanied by Mahinda from September 5th to 14th, 2025 on our trip through Sri Lanka – and we can wholeheartedly recommend both him and Personal Drivers Sri Lanka! Already before our arrival, Mahinda reached out to us via WhatsApp, gave us a warm welcome, and assured us that he would be waiting at Colombo Airport – which immediately gave us a safe and comfortable feeling. He drove us in a spotless and very comfortable Toyota Axio, equipped with excellent air conditioning – a real blessing in the tropical climate. Mahinda is not only a very safe, reliable, and attentive driver, but also a fantastic companion: he always had a story to share, knew hidden sights, great restaurants, and even made sure to take wonderful photos of us along the way. From Colombo to Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella, the South Coast, and back to Colombo, he was always by our side, warning us about the occasional tourist scam and making every stage of the journey smooth and enjoyable. Even spontaneous changes of plans or hotel bookings were no issue at all – his flexibility and exclusive service made our trip truly stress-free. We are deeply grateful to Mahinda for making this journey so special and memorable, and we are more than happy to give him and Personal Drivers Sri Lanka a well-deserved 5 stars.

We were driven by Nisal , who works for this company, it's nothing short of the most pleasant experience, he's very compassionate, well spoken and very respectful towards all family members, this is the kind of hospitality we have never experienced before. We were amazed by his knowledge about Sri Lanka and his behaviour towards all of our family members, he helped us with nice places,acted as a guide, warned us from possible scams and bargains. He was a great companion for the whole tour, the service that they provide is real value for money for anyone looking for a guided tour. Honest, truthful and you will be pleasantly surprised. Our driver (Anand) was excellent. He was always on time, extremely polite and helpful and an excellent driver. Our tour took in 9 stopovers across the country and Anand was always on time to pick us up and take us to our next destination. He also ensured we took the best opportunities to see the sights at each location. We were extremely pleased with the service provided and considered it excellent value for money.

Great service Prompt, friendly and reliable. Was always ready and waiting for us. Car was immaculate. Driving was calm. Suggested lots of interesting places to go but understood when we wanted to spend time at our various hotels. Happy to stop when we saw things of interest. My wife and I had the best day with the 15-Day Tour in Sri Lanka with Private Driver, couldn't recommend it more. Very safe driver, excellent English, very considerate, caring and generous with his knowledge. We learned a lot about the real Sri Lanka. We got very fit, in just one short day, and had a lot of fun along the way. Good value for money, although we shopped around and were very competitive. Nothing was too much trouble seeing ancient caves and wildlife (we counted over 50 elephants in one half day safari!!) and climbing big old rocks, eating amazing food, having enlightening conversations. A very hardworking and delightful guide, he worked many more hours than expected to give us a brilliant day, very selflessly. I hope he is still working as a guide when we return. Mahesh took our trip to the next level with his excellent driving skills, knowledge about Sri Lankan culture and food. Made several stops along our three week journey to show us the true Sri Lanka. We ate at local restaurants, he treated us with fruits and vegetables we had never heard of and took care of our daughter as it was his own. He even took care of an infant seat so she would be safe along our trip through the country he loves.

What a fantastic driver! He struck that fine balance between being extremely helpful and giving us the space as a family to enjoy the holiday. He very obviously knew his way around, and was constantly able to offer great suggestions or adaptations to our itenerary. We travelled extensively throughout Sri Lanka, yet wherever we went, he was very knowledgeable as to the best places (and times) to go to visit. When our train tickets got cancelled last minute he was able to negotiate and arrange new tickets, despite being told they had sold out. We really can't sing his prasies enough. We really don't think the holiday would have been half as good without his help and support.

Being at the last stage of our 15 days Tour and having visited 8 different hotels, the pattern is clear: all pictures are taken before Covid period, when most of the hotels have been closed for 2 years, therefore expect a clear mismatch betwen stars and reality, kind but inexperienced staff, poor management who is operating without resources. The result has been in 5 hotels out of 8 a big mismatch between what you pay and what you get. Sri Lanka is anyhow a great country with so many different things to do and nice people all around, our freelance driver Kelly has been great and supportive and we go home with many good memories. However, there is an however and I have made a big mistake in being hooked by Personal Driver Sri Lanka website and attentive replies before we landed. The first mismatch has been with our van, their website promises cars not older than 3 years... ours was at least 10 years, with issues which have required maintenance at the second day! Then the hotel nightmare has started. Aliya and The Golden Crown have matched expectations, but Camelot, Rajarata, Victoria Suites, Laya Safari (!) and Club Waskaduwa have all been disappointing experiences, check each place review. On top, he has also missed to book our tickets for the train experience, which we have then lost. The first offer I got for the Tour was 1.600 dollars for 12 days and 4 people, I accepted to pay finally 4.800 dollars to have at least 4 stars accomodation without negotiating 1 single penny. When I have asked Rahj why he had so few reviews on Maps and TripAdvisor he told me that because he started his company recently, I trusted him. Now I can say it: be careful, if you want a car secure it is really a recent one, and book all hotels yourself or through somebody who is a real "insider". Based on my experience, Rajh doesn't know where he is sending his Customers and does not feel accountable for his mistakes. I got quite some apology from him, but no concrete improvement or compensation.

My friend and I went to Sri Lanka for a Yoga retreat and found so much more. We decided to get a private driver as we were planning to stay less than 10 days. But our driver, Nisha, went above and beyond. He became our buddy and official Sri Lanka guide. He brought us to good restaurants and explained local customs and traditions. We were able to see half of Sri Lanka thanks to Nisha. It was a spectacular experience. Totally worth it

I was hitting the roads of Sri-Lanka with a friend. It was our first time on Sri-Lanka, and thanks to our amazing driver Nisha, - definitely not the last one! We fell in love with the country and made a list of places of interest for our next visit. Nisha exceeded our expectations, as not only he was always punctual and careful driver, but he also shared a lot of interesting facts about the country, brought us to hidden places off the bitten tourist route and always came with great ideas for perfect combinations of sightseeing, chilling, enjoying local foods and culture. Next time I will come to Sri-Lanka for longer time and without a fixed plan, and will let myself discover the country with Nisha. Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely good experience with rajh , We enjoyed each minute of our trips with them didn't need to go somewhere foe tea , shop although I did wind up buying some tea. The Sri Lankan food is a set menu and very very spicy.
