We are an older Australian couple who have travelled extensively mainly as self guided tourists. This time we booked a Sri Lankan tour through Tour Radar and BH Sri Lanka Tours expecting to be part of a group so were very surprised to find it was just us and our driver guide. This was just the fabulous start of 12 days of fun and friendship with Nishantha Kumara, 12 days of learning so much about wonderful Sri Lanka. Nishantha is not only a superb ambassador for his country, his historical knowledge of the country is almost overwhelming and coupled with his spiritual perspective on life, he is one of the most charismatic we have met on our travels. Stunning scenery, awesome food experiences, hairy Tuk Tuk rides, train, boat journeys, turtles, tea plantations and more, Nishantha made sure that every aspect of our trip was well organised. He was flexible in any changes that we wanted or needed to be made and quickly realised and adjusted to some of our physical limitations. We felt very safe in the car with Nishantha driving and completely relaxed in the knowledge that our guide and BH Sri Lanka Tours had everything under control with accommodation and provided meals at all the hotels all of a high standard. We would highly recommend this company when visiting Sri Lanka and always remember "life is good".

Reviews
A well rounded tour, takes in a lot of the great things to see and do. The weather wasn’t the best some days and our guide Buddhika was fantastic with reorganising and rescheduling things so we still got to do the most things possible. Our driver Chandana was fantastic too. I’d recommend getting the accommodation upgrades if you can afford to do so.
We had a fantastic family holiday (6 pax) with BH Lanka Tours. A big thanks to our wonderful guide (Buddhika) and Driver (Chandana) who expertly looked after us the entire time from the point of arrival (beaming smiles at the airport) to our last drop off. Everything was taken care of so we could just relax, which is a big benefit when travelling as a large family. Buddhika was always happy to help with any requests and was always aiming for us to have the best time. We had some challenges with the weather so Buddhika would pro actively adjust things so we could best enjoy them. Buddhika and Chandana provided a personalised, flexible and friendly service. They felt like part of the family during our stay and we were very sad to say goodbye. The tour was great, we found it quite comprehensive in covering a lot of Sri Lanka. The country is so beautiful and the people are very friendly. I wish we had more time. I would highly recommend BH Lanka tours for a holiday in Sri Lanka and would definitely use again.
I got to experience the best of this incredibly diverse and beautiful country thanks to BH Lanka Tours. My guide, Eshan, was very friendly and always ensured I was safe and comfortable. The hotels, in general, were incredible to stay at though some were a little far from town which is fine if you're happy to just hang by the pool in your free time. The tour schedule was well planned, highlighted the best of Sri Lanka and was always enjoyable despite it raining a lot during the tour. Would definitely recommend!
I had not heard a bad word about Sri Lanka in the lead up to this trip, and it did not disappoint. The tour was a very good overview of the country, its culture, food and way of life. In 12 days you better understand and visit some ancient history, you travel through mountains, see wildlife in national parks on safari, relax at the beaches, better understand the impact of a previously colonised country and live the pride of a blended culture. So much to see and the length of this tour covers it all with enough tie for see and experience it all. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and our driver Udara got us to the end safely. If ever you've seen the driving in Sri Lanka, you know that is a feat in itself! I would have liked a little more history about things as we went along, but Udara is a driver, not a tour guide. If you want a very guided experience, then maybe a tour company would better suit, rather than drivers who are limited with their tour guiding opportunities. What was not advised to us prior to the start of the tour was that Sri Lanka has a tipping culture. Pretty much every person that helps you on the activities needs to be tipped. We did not know and did not budget for this. It's not as much as the USA but still, it is an expense that adds up after a while. The company was quite slow to respond to emails and correspondance which was frustrating in the lead up but we got all our documentation and information in the end. We travelled in December. There had been unseasonal rain for a couple of months before we arrived which continued during our trip - but it did not affect our itinerary or any inclusions. I believe this was not normal. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would recommend Sri Lanka to anyone.
From booking this trip to arriving, the staff made me feel well taken care of. My guide/driver Udara was fantastic. The accommodations were nice, and I felt the itinerary was very comprehensive. Definitely recommend going on this trip.
Sri lanka was a goldmine of stunning scenery and amazing experiences, and bh lanka a wonderful company to deal with, adapting to our every wish on the tour. Our driver in particular - Dana, could not do enough for us, and made sure we had the best possible experience at each activity/tourist attraction. I would, with all confidence, book this company (and have this driver!) again.
Sri Lanka is an amazingly beautiful country & the people are even more amazing. Friendly, gracious, funny, polite. Ravi my driver was outstanding. I’m not sure I would have booked the trip if I’d known I would be alone. Part of the reason for me traveling solo is to meet new people. Imagine my surprise no one else was with me. You do everything either alone or with the guide/driver. Also, you end up paying for a lot of the extra activities. I would have hoped more activities were included. Lastly, if you are an animal lover such as myself, it is heartbreaking to see all the stray dogs everywhere.
We booked this 12d cultural tour with BH Lanka, the team there were brilliant in getting our trip planned and organised. We were delighted to have Nimantha as our guide. Throughout the trip Nimantha was extremely knowledgeable and supportive, friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. The tour was excellent, more than we could have hoped for, with experiences ranging from safaris to river cruise to cooking demonstration and visits to temples and cultural highlights, so many beautiful places and such a range of climates from mountain to beach. Nimantha is a true professional and we highly recommend him and BH Lanka tours for your visit!!
We just loved the trip from start to finish. Every day was a new and exciting experience. The first five days are very busy with some long days and you need to be fairly fit. From then on it’s a less hectic pace. There is just so much to see and do in this beautiful country. We cannot speak highly enough of our guide Nishantha, he is a delightful man and an excellent guide. His passion and pride in his country was evident at every place we went.. Nish could not do enough for us and his knowledge about his country was amazing. Do yourself a favour, visit this beautiful country, go with BH Lanka and ask for Nish. We have had a great time and will take away some special memories.
As a solo traveler, I embarked on the 12-day Action Adventure tour with BH Lanka Tours, guided by the incredible Udara. Unfortunately, I had to cut my journey short due to a medical emergency, but the 7 days I spent in Sri Lanka were filled with unforgettable moments. Scenic Marvels: The train ride through the mountains to Ella and the Jeep Safari in the elephant sanctuary were the highlights of my trip. The picturesque views from the train and the exhilarating rush of wind during the Jeep Safari left a lasting impression. Accommodations to Remember: Most of the hotels we stayed in were not only in great condition but also situated in fantastic locations. The Regal and the Forest Edge hotel were particularly standout choices. Tipping Culture: I learned that tipping is customary in Sri Lanka, so be prepared to show appreciation to the wonderful people who assist you during your journey. It's a cultural norm that adds to the warmth of the country. Warmth of the Locals: The people of Sri Lanka, especially in the villages, were incredibly kind and beautiful in spirit. Their hospitality made the trip even more special. Udara's Heroism: I can't conclude this review without mentioning the hero of my journey, Udara, our tour guide. During my time in Sri Lanka, I had an accident that forced me to shorten my trip and return to the U.S. Udara's quick thinking and assistance were nothing short of heroic, and I owe my safety to him.
I have just returned home from a tour with BH Lanka Tours, and have to say it’s the best holiday of my life. I did the Grand Tour of Sri Lanka and I have to say, the things I have seen will stay with me forever. The most beautiful country, people, sights and food. The tour company was fantastic, incredibly easy to deal with and very flexible and accomodating. My tour guide Dana was great, incredibly knowledgeable and happy to explain the histories of the incredible places we saw. I booked a group tour but nobody else chose my itinerary and dates, so it was just myself and Dana for 12 days. The hotel choices were amazing, I haven’t stopped raving about what a great trip it was. 10/10 would recommend - and will be coming back, and hope to use BH Lanka and Dana’s expertise again.
We were welcomed into Sri Lanka by our lovely guide Udara! He was kind and helpful throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Sri Lanka filled with adventure and fun! The people of Sri Lanka go above and beyond, the incredible food and sights were something we won’t forget! Udara was very professional and helpful throughout, we really enjoyed our time with him. Sri Lanka was a beautiful country that we were pleased with seeing with BH tours!
I had booked this tour last minute as my other arrangements fell through and from the beginning I found BH Lanka Tours to be incredibly helpful and friendly. This was my first time visiting Sri Lanka. The standard of the hotels were beyond my expectation for the price I paid (except for a few hotels which I have given them direct feedback for improvement). Quite an active tour so you need to have good mobility for hikes. Highlights for me was the Kaudulla National Park safari. I would not recommend going to the turtle sanctuary as the place was sad and depressing. A lot of optional costings are NOT included but they are transparent with the costs upfront. Please be mindful that tips are not included for most places you go (even the bathroom) so you need to be mindful of this for your budget. I met some lovely people in my group and our guide Chinthaka was friendly, knowledgeable and looked after us. We had two drivers and they were both great especially Sampath. I would recommend BH Lanka and would like to use them again to visit North Sri Lanka.
Very nice tour that shows you most of the main attractions of Sri Lanka with a knowledgeable and friendly (and protective) guide Chinthka who tries to fits everyone’s needs. Always felt very safe and secure. Good quality hotels, good route, pace, private driver Sanpath, always on time with his clean mini bus. A bit on the tourist path and pace, so for the ones who like it more local there is not too much time. Some places like the herb garden or tea plantation were very touristy with ridiculous prices. Local food during lunch is possible, dinners are mostly in the hotels (mostly buffets with also local style). We stayed in 2 hotels 2 nights, all other nights one night in one hotel. therefore not always able to enjoy all the facilities of the amazing hotels to the fullest ;coming in at 19.00 leaving at 08.00). Keep in mind that certain activities are not included in the price (safari, entree to tempels, sigryia hike, whale watching). Add some $350 extra.
After a last minute change of plans which left me travelling solo, I decided to book onto a tour with BH Lanka. I am so glad I did! From the start, the company were very informative and responded to emails quickly - they even arranged a hotel for the two nights prior to the tour start date and picked me up from the airport. I was joined by two other solo travellers and we met our guide Chinthaka. Throughout the tour, Chinthaka catered to all our needs and went out of his way to give us the best experience. The itinerary provided by BH Lanka is jam packed and had plenty of amazing things to do but Chinthaka was flexible making time for extra stops along the way or rearranging the itinerary to best suit us! Highlights of the tour for me were the two safaris where we saw multiple elephants and even spotted the rare leopard in Yala! For the more adventurous, the white water rafting is great fun and the hike up little adams peak in Ella was also beautiful. The hotels are all very luxurious, my favourite being the Chaarya Resort and Spa which we stayed in after our safari in Yala. Breakfast and dinner are included in all the hotels and then lunch is very flexible; our tour opting to seek our little local restaurants serving authentic rice and curry over the touristy hotels offering a full buffet. Sri Lanka as a country is beautiful and everyone is so friendly. As a young, solo female traveller I was a little apprehensive but I never once felt unsafe or hassled which I have been in other countries. I would 100% recommend a trip to Sri Lanka, particularly with BH Lanka for the variety of things to do and see and the lovely people you’ll meet along the way!
In August 2023, I experienced the Grand Tour with my family of five (50/48/21/18/12). Each of us had different expectations of this trip. Sri Lanka promised to offer something for everyone: Culture, history, religion, animals, flora and beaches. For us, this was our first trip to Asia, so it was very special. The booking with BH Lanka Tours worked very well, the communication and pick-up from the airport were hassle-free. We were able to experience this unforgettable trip with our guide Dana. He was very open and always gave us good answers to all our many questions. Dana explained many things about history, religion and everyday life in Sri Lanka. In addition, he drove in a totally safe and very relaxed manner through the very unusual road traffic of Sri Lanka. We experienced many great, unforgettable and very special moments together, for example climbing the rock fortress Sigiriya, a temple visit with prayer, botanical garden, rafting (also a very good guide) and safari, but also shopping in small workshops and markets. I was particularly impressed by the friendly interaction of the many people and the peaceful temple ceremonies in Polonnaruwa. In addition, Dana always accompanied us helpfully and created a good atmosphere and harmony with small attentions. We had a lot of fun with him, so the whole family was happy. The choice of hotels was excellent and a good mix of different categories. Each hotel had its own charm. The people were very friendly and lovely. Unfortunately, the time was far too short for the many activities and charming places. So it would be advisable to stay a few days longer or just come back again. We will never forget this wonderful time and hope to return. Thank you BH Lanka Tours and thank you especially dear Dana
In August 2023 we started our unforgettable Grand Tour in Sri Lanka. After our arrival we were received very warmly and brought from the airport to our first hotel. All people were very friendly and accommodating. The tour was very diversified with many different impressions. We were able to discover the impressive animal and plant world in many different ways. For example in the Millennium Elephant Foundation, on the safari in the Yala National Park or in the botanical garden. Besides the flora and fauna we learned a lot about the culture, traditions, religion as well as typical food. Especially impressive were the temple complexes. The activities were very varied, so in addition to small hikes and sightseeing there were also sporting activities, such as rafting in the jungle or helping to prepare a traditional meal. The tour also included very different locations on the island, giving very different impressions in terms of landscape, religion and everyday life of the people. The hotel selection by BH Lanka Tours was also very varied. The rooms were very clean, the staff very friendly and forthcoming and the food, which consisted of buffet or a menu very tasty and varied. Our tour guide Dananjaya was very approachable, accommodating and friendly. He was happy to answer our questions and was able to explain a lot about the country and life on the island. In addition, it was a lot of fun to learn from him about the history and religion of the country. Dana always took care of our well-being, so that we felt very comfortable at any time. The organization on site was without problems and stress-free, so that despite the long day trips, the vacation feeling did not come up short at all. Our trip was connected with a lot of fun, new experiences and impressive adventures. The impressions cannot be described in words, which is why I would recommend everyone to make the trip themselves. Thank you for the great experiences, thank you Dana for the unforgettable trip!
Enjoyed many adventures with our driver Udara. Scenery hotels food and experiences such as safari rafting train and many walking trails all good.
We went on the 12 day Grand tour in Sri Lanka. We booked with TourRadar and the local tour operator was BH Sri Lanka tours. Our guide, and now friend, was Buddhika. His English was excellent. We were greeted at the airport and pickup was easy. I expected to be in a small tour bus or van, but the tour group was just the two of us. I missed the camaraderie of a group, but we in essence had our own private guide. Our tour vehicle was a Prius. Buddhika was a skilled and courteous driver. The stops were generally excellent. We were lucky enough to see tons of elephants, a leopard, and four blue whales. The UNESCO sites were amazing, although one arranged guides’ English was not understandable to me. We hiked, climbed many steps, rode in boats, and ate great food. The hotels and food were generally very good with some being totally amazing. For us, several had weak breakfasts, but I am a vegan and we both don’t eat eggs. One of us has some serious food allergies (nuts and fish!), but Buddhika made sure everything was safe for him. Buddhika, adjusted the itinerary to fit our whims. All in all it was a super tour with a great guide. We were staying and extra week after the tour and Buddhika went way beyond his duties and made sure our transportation, housing, surfing and everything else was arranged.
This is a great operator the tour was totally fantastic from start to finish made extra special by or guide and driver Sidath who was fabulous he was flexible to are moods if we wanted to change the days plan and always knowledgeable and friendly we were made to feel very well looked after, at every hotel we would arrive sit down in the lobby while he sorted everything out The tour itself was incredible with everyday being different from the last We traveled with our daughters 12 and 15 who have also had their best holiday
We recently returned from a 12-day custom tour of Sri Lanka through BH Lanka with a group of 9 adults, comprising three families. We have done a lot of travel over the years and this trip rates highly among the most fun. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country and well worth visiting! Our original intention had been to travel in 2022, but that was put on hold due to the political and economic turmoil at the time. We are pleased to report that all went smoothly for a stress-free, relaxing, stimulating and enjoyable trip. Our guide was Sidath, whose life mission seemed to be to make sure we were all happy, and who really went out of his way to look out for us. He put on his detective hat when someone from another tour group accidentally mistook the orthotic sandals from one of our team as his own, following an Ayurvedic massage session. He miraculously tracked them down and a driving detour later had retrieved them! Sidath was always happy to accommodate minor changes and requests to the schedule to suit our preferences. He had a lovely, friendly nature with an ever-present smile. Our driver was Gamini. He was also absolutely lovely, and more importantly, was an excellent driver! Sri Lankan traffic can be hair-raising at times, but he was always alert, careful and drove like a true professional chauffeur. Tips – Sri Lanka isn’t great for Western food, so we promptly requested that all our included meals be Sri Lankan. The accommodation varied according to remoteness but was always clean and comfortable with hot water. It was all great value for what we paid. I would strongly recommend booking directly through BH Lanka – they are service providers to other travel agents who add a big margin. BH Lanka provide a prompt and excellent service!
I have spent 14 days in Sri Lanka and every day I had a great time. I have the opportunity to visit the best cultural sites and have some fun. I did rafting, canyoning and caving, such cool experiences. My guide, Chaly, is a friendly and expert tour guide. He gave me many tips and good suggestions in order to have the greatest time possible. The only unfavourable aspect of Sri Lanka are the roads, which are slow and chaotic. Be ready to spend if unluckily, some extra time in the car. Accommodations and food are first class, a must to try is the local food, which is so yummy that made me get some extra pounds. Please, if you come to Sti Lanka, hike in Sigiriya and do the safari at Yala national park. Victoria park and the botanic garden are an other nice activities.
We cannot recommend BH Lanka Tours enough. We booked directly with them for an 11-night private tour and could not be happier. The whole trip was seamless and without hitches. Our guide for the entire tour was Buddhika, and he was excellent! Let us get the practical things out of the way. We paid a 10% deposit when we initially booked and paid the balance 10 days before we went. It was secure, and we paid by card. By booking directly, we got exactly the same tour as other companies advertise with quite a nice saving. So don't let booking direct be a concern. I wanted to make this point as it is exactly what we weighed up - Est Co v Direct and glad we went direct. We were accompanied throughout the entire tour - from being picked up at the airport on arrival and being dropped off at the airport on departure. All accommodations we were taken to Buddhika stayed until we were checked in, only leaving then, letting us know when we were leaving the next day. We were picked up on time every day & every morning and given a bottle of water each. The car was a new air-conditioned Toyota Prius and was always driven safely and locked when we were away from it (Sri Lanka is very safe). Buddhika was an absolute star throughout our tour, and we can't thank him enough. Some excursions must be paid in cash, so he would always inform us in advance and take us to an ATM when required. He was also flexible with our itinerary and moved a few things to suit the weather and timings, making sure we did all we wanted to do. Unfortunately for him, we chose to do quite a few things that had very early starts (5 am), but he was always there to take us & always waiting on our return. There were a few things that Biddhika did that added to the tour, one involved the train from Kandy to Ella, which was excellent & none of the other tourists did & it really made the experience...I will not say what it was, as it would be unfair! We chose Deluxe accommodation for our trip but did change 1 to a Superior. All the accommodation was excellent, very varied in style, but all very good quality & never any issues. They all had a fridge, decent toiletries (shampoo & shower gel & most had conditioner), bottled water, air-con, and coffee/tea & kettle. The food was mostly buffet-style and was all good, generally with a decent selection. Some we liked more than others, but this is always quite a personal choice. The staff (& people in general) were always very friendly and helpful. In summary, as I am sure you can guess, we were very happy with our entire tour & experience. I would highly recommend both Sri Lanka as a place to visit & BH Lanka Tours to use to see it.
The Grand Tour really gives you a good impression of Sri Lankan diversity and brings you to the most important places. We were very satisfied by the whole process of our vacation arranged by BH Lanka. Our driver Eeshan did a very good job, we felt safe and in good hands. I can recommend BH Lanka as well as Eeshan as your driver/guide
Thank you Nisantha for this lovely experience and for making us feel like family. We got to learn a lot about Sri Lanka and had an amazing adventure, from safari to cultural experiences like visiting temples. The hotel choices were first class and the food was very delicious. The people are very friendly and have hearts of gold. We recommend this tour to everyone - visit Sri Lanka for a once in a lifetime experience!
We had a wonderful experience with this company and our driver Nishantha. He spoke excellent english and was very knowledgeable and shared lots of history etc with us. Clearly very proud to be from Sri Lanka and I can see why. This is an amazing county with lots to see and do and we were so glad we decided to do it through a tour. I feel we really made the most of each day. The hotels were all state of the art and food was really good. I can not think of one negative. It was all really great.
Firstly, thank you so much to my amazing guide Udara who was absolutely fabulous for the full 12 days of my trip. Udara was a wealth of knowledge, always accommodating and navigated me safely through Sri Lanka during a period of great difficulty for such a beautiful country. I loved every single activity and town that we saw, The tour was a wonderful mix of cultural sites, adventure activities, leisure time and sightseeing. Thank you to the brilliant Udara and BH Tours for a genuinely amazing experience. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see and experience the best of Sri Lanka
Fantastic experience with everything organised and nothing to worry about. We travelled with a 6 and 8 year old and they had a great time seeing animals, riding bikes bikes and seeing new things every day. This is our first tour and a tip would be to ask for changes to suit you when needed as this was easily accommodated, also that is OK to take a break from the activities and that was fine too. Things to think about would be car seats if needed and activities for kids in the car as some of the journeys were quite a distance. Food and accommodation were on the whole great with the Amaya lake in Dambulla and Palms in Beruwala standing out as fantastic.
Hard to believe the tour was only for 2 weeks, as every day was filled with seeing, experiencing and eating so much of what Sri Lanka kindly offered us. Our guide, Buddhika's expertise helped give us an experience that was truly unique. One that included: river cruise, seeing elephants and leopards on a jungle safari, swimming in a waterfall, a lovely train ride through the mountains, tea plantations, hikes to the top of an ancient palace, packed Buddhist temples, the list goes on! BH Tours booked wonderfully special hotels whose services were top notch each day and night. The meals, whether a 3 course at said hotels or roadside pastry shops and or restaurants were delicious. Certainly an unforgettable experience taking in the many different cultures and environs of Sri Lanka. One that I highly recommend everyone take if they have a chance!
We had an amazing 12 nights in Sri Lanka, the tour run by BH Lanka tours was very well organised and managed. The hotels we stayed in were of a high standard and the food was fantastic. Our tour guide Dana was reliable, friendly and always happy to accommodate our requests and changes. We found the tour a little too action packed after the first few days (this may have also been due to the heat and humidity) and so we requested to cut some activities from the schedule and take it a bit slower. Dana was happy to oblige and adjust the day to our needs. One of the reasons for the trip was to celebrate my 50th birthday and Dana arranged a surprise cake the night of my birthday and also, on our request, a cooking class with a local lady which was a highlight. I was made to feel very special!! A couple of suggestions for improvement are: - when we first contacted the company to inquire about a tour, we advised we would be travelling from Australia and asked for a tour price. The quote we were provided was in dollars, which we assumed would be Australian dollars, we missed the part at the bottom of the page that said it was USD. Our mistake obviously but it made a significant difference to the price. The price of the tour was still reasonable but it doesn't make sense to me why we would receive a quote in a currency that we don't even use - we would have preferred to have eaten our lunches in more authentic Sri Lankan places where the locals ate rather than the large buffet places set up for tourists. We really had the most amazing tour, visited so many varied historic and scenic places and met many warm and friendly locals who were so happy to have tourists back in their country after 2 long years of Covid. I highly recommenced travelling to Sri Lanka and you couldn't find a better tour operator than BH Lanka
So so so amazing!!!! Words can't put into words how much we completely loved our tour. We saw the most incredible sites, managing to see everything that we wanted to in 2 weeks. The tour was everything we hoped for and so much more. Our guide, Buddhika, was just perfect-we could not have asked for anyone better-he was kind, helpful, knowledgeable, flexible (which was great as we were travelling with a 10 and a 5 year old), a safe driver, amazing English...I could go on and on. The company were superb before we travelled in supporting us to fine tune our itinerary. Can not recommend BH Lanka highly enough
We had a wonderful tour of Sri Lanka with BH Lanka Tours. It was 13 days and jam packed full of activities. Maybe too many to be honest. Our driver was Dana and he was very kind and knowledgeable and safely shuttled the 4 of us around. He made sure we always had everything we needed at each stop. And knew people all over the island and the best places to shop.
I had a wonderful time being shown around Sri Lanka with our fantastic tour guide Buddika. There was a great mix of adventurous activities, like safaris and hikes, as well as activities that taught us about Sri Lankan culture such as temple visits. One of my favorite activities was a canoe ride to a farm house where the owner prepared us a delicious lunch from her farm. Buddika had a full plan for us everyday of the tour but was flexible and could adjust the day when we wanted to add or take out an activity. I can’t imagine I would have seen and done nearly as many things if I hadn’t had a local tour guide showing me around. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country and I’m so glad I got to see it.
This was one of my best international travel experiences to date. BH Lanka took all the stress out of international travel by picking us up from the airport, booking all of our hotel rooms (at some of the nicest/most affordable hotels I've stayed at), booking tours, providing options for food, taking us all around the country in a comfortable bus, planning amazing adventures every day, and providing an awesome tour guide (Buddhika) who made things super fun and memorable. This trip exceeded my expectations and I felt like in the 10 days I saw more than I could have hoped for.
Truly an adventure of a lifetime! Jungle cruises, animal safaris, train ride through tea farms, UNESCO world heritage sites, and the most warm and welcoming people! Everything about the trip was so thoroughly planned. Each hotel we stayed at was beautiful and accommodating in every way, the transit from place to place was perfect (air conditioned vehicle for the win), and our tour guide Buddhika was helpful, well-informed, and genuinely fun to spend time with. Highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a tropical adventure! I learned so much about this incredible island and it's rich history.
From crystal blue beaches to misty tea mountains, Sri Lanka was a complete joy to travel through. BH Lanka Tours took our group of 10 for an absolute joy ride throughout the beautiful country. Our tour guide, Buddhika, provided a tour that featured amazing adventure (hikes/safaris/waterfalls, train rides) and world-class comfort (Ayurvedic massages, AC buses, deluxe hotels & empty beaches). I came to Sri Lanka with little-to-no knowledge of the country, but left with a deep appreciation for the culture and people. Wherever we went, we were met by the sweetest people (and delicious welcome drinks, yum!). Many times I felt I'd been dropped into an Indiana Jones movie or Disney Park ride, only to pinch myself and realize that this was the real deal! Buddhika became a fast friend and we are so honored to have had the opportunity to have BH Lanka Tours as our guides.
We had an amazing time in Sri Lanka! Many thanks to BH tours and our guide for making it a stress-free and memorable trip. Highlights include hiking to a waterfall in the rain, playing cricket at Galle fort, and happy hour with our guide in the evening— I’m ready to go back!
It is a nice and enjoyable tour to experience beautiful Sri Lanka. It is a very diversified tour with lots of adventures.
The grand tour of Sri Lanka is a perfect way to see this beautiful country. Dana was our guide and a careful driver, always ready to accomodate to our wishes. Historical sites, trekking, safari, whale watching, beaches, city sightseeing and many more varied activities made our holiday unforgetable. The price does not include entrance fees. Information can be provided by the agency. Our party of four highly recommend this tour.
We've just returned from our grand tour of Sri Lanka with Bhlanka tours. The itinerary was excellent, with a good variety of excursions like a safari, a river cruise, whale watching and snorkeling. Our favourites were climbing sigiriya rock, the botanical gardens in Kandy and visiting a tea plantation. All of the hotels were a very high standard, much better than we expected! The food was excellent everywhere we went too, just ask for a Sri Lankan curry and you'll get 7 or 8 vegetable dishes along with rice and poppodums. We're both vegetarians so it was perfect! Our driver Nishantha was the best thing about the tour. He treated us like family, was incredibly positive, happy and thoughtful throughout and he also became our personal photographer! He allowed us to be flexible with the itinerary if we wanted to stop somewhere or if we fancied a lie in! One evening we asked if he knew anywhere we could have an ayuvedic massage and he drove us to a really nice place for us to book and then took us there in the morning! Nishantha was also a very calm driver too, with a comfortable van. He made sure we had plenty of water, had great suggestions for lunch and was very knowledgeable about all the places we visited. All in all a very pleasant experience!
Am amazing trip. Lots of activity, sight seeing Our tour guide ( Charith) just made the whole trip. Considerate, funny, helpful. He knew great places to eat and visit and knew great local people when required ( eg on Safari). I was trying to find a particular tea plantation ( using an out of date name + 70 yrs old ) and he found it for me which was just brilliant. The tour was busy - especially in the first few days and you don’t get many mornings to lie in but we saw so much of the country and learnt a lot about the country.
A great bespoke 19 day tour of the whole of Sri Lanka, professionally organised by BH Lanka tours and excellently guided and driven by Udara. An amazing mix of landscapes, cultures, traditions and wildlife.
It was a great trip especially thanks to Dana, who was our great guide and driver during all the days. He made the trip special with good tips and stories, good knowledge on the different places and historical/cultural sites, his friendly and polite personality and always a smile on the lips. If you book a tour, ask for Dana. :) Overall, the tour is well composed of cultural and historical visits, bit of trekking and nice nature and landscape experiences, wildlife watching and beach time. Really nice adventures, but also relaxing. For us the biggest adventure was the wildlife part as we saw elephants, crocodiles, many birds, water buffalos, dears and antelopes, fin whales and blue whales and even a leopard in the tree. :) Other specials are the various temples, nature wonders, village visits and the train ride. We learned how to cook a good curry and how cinnamon and tea is made. For relaxing you get a bit of beach time. All the time Dana was perfectly taking care that we felt good. We had the opportunity to do all the activities of the tour and even more than that. Car was always clean and we felt well and save during all the trip. Hotels were overall nice and honestly, its much value for the money!! Many thanks to the BH lanka team and Dana for making us experiencing Sri Lanka. Franzi and Ben
The tour is a perfect way to get a good feeling of what Sri Lanka is like. Our guides (Charith and Tharanga) were very friendly and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. Airport pick-up & drop went flawlessly, even when my plane was delayed by half an hour. Charith is a very good driver and his car was always very clean. Thank you very much for the experience!
Amazing Cave Temple in Dambulla. We also appreciated the Sri Lankan food. As a tip for future travellers: try to keep from overeating. Tour guides Charith and Taranga were exceptional, and their dedication and attention to detail really made the difference.
We had an amazing time on our tour in Sri Lanka - a beautiful country with so history! Our driver, Dana, was incredibly accommodating and attentive to our needs. He was flexible with our itinerary (slightly later starts requested to get some morning exercise in!) and was so helpful. The small things such as buying us some homemade Kurd and having it delivered to our door really was very kind and appreciated. The tour was packed full of activities, every stop was different and showed us another part of Sri Lanka’s history and culture. Overall it has been an unforgettable trip, thank you for making it so special!
What an amazing experience. Sri Lanka is such a beautiful and interesting country and we felt this was the right way to explore it and feel it. We felt very welcomed and our tour guide has been always very helpful and flexible with our requests. The organisation of the tour was very good, everything was organised and always ready. We always felt we were in good hands. The counry offers many opportunities and the tour give you a comprehensive idea of it. Highly recommended.
BH Tours are one of the best tour companies I have come across. From planning, booking and the tour my experience with them have been remarkable. Unfortunately, due to the current pandemic, I had to cut my tour short but I was very pleased with the way my tour guide, Mr. Dana and Mr. Hasitha handled the whole situation. God willing, I will definitely go back and continue my tour with them. And also book other destinations through them
We wanted to get the most out of our trip to Sri Lanka so we decided to book a tour, the Grand tour package had all the spots we wanted to visit and we were not disappointed. We had a bit of trouble with our flights before leaving which we communicated to BH tours and were able to accommodate us (even last minute) with no issues at all. All of their responses were very quick and they made the trip very smooth for us. The tour itself packs a lot in so you really get to make the most out of your trip and visit lots of interesting places. The wildlife was fantastic and whilst we didn't go to the elephant orphanage we saw plenty of elephants in the wild on the safari as well as peacocks, jackals, water buffalo, crocodiles, turtles and so much more. Our tour guide Dana was brilliant - he often pulled over to show us interesting things such as a massive water monitor, buying us fresh king coconuts and other things he thought we would like. He always listened to us if we were hungry, tired or anything else. He also managed to time activities really well so when its too hot to be walking around in 30C we would be doing something else. So any walks to temples were done when it was cooler which made it much more enjoyable. We felt the tour was really good value for money and took away the stress (we met some people who did it themselves who wished they had booked a tour). The whole time we felt really well looked after - Dana definitely made sure we were hydrated! :) Would recommend the tour and visiting Sri Lanka to anyone. It's a really beautiful place and is filled with wildlife and friendly people. It was a very special trip and we hope to return.
