Myself and my 15 y/o son were touring Sri Lanka for 11 days on Aug/2023. We had a superb vacation in this lovely country which was a great success and we owe this success mainly to Jason and specifically to our driver Kanchana. Just 2 days prior to our arrival, when we realized we will need a driver/guide to drive us and show us around so we contacted Jason. Jason was super quick to review our initial plan, suggest additional activites and comment on some of our planning mistakes. In retrospect, we can say Jason was correct in each of his comments. Jason was not availiable to drive us and brought us Kanchana instead. We have never regretted this as Kanchana is a very pleasant guy, knowledgeable in many things related to Sri Lanka (like plants, food or religion) and a great conversation guy. Kanchana has always drove in a calm and safe way and made us feel safe even in harsh driving conditions. Kanchana has always shared his knowledge as for what types of food we should try out and where to get them. Most importantly, he has warned us where NOT to buy food. Kanchana and Jason were constantly consulting how to solve the problems which popped up during the trip to make our experience optimal. Better hotel bookings and better attractions. I must say I was at least once amazed by a brilliant solution they have found to a problem we had. One thing I can say about Kanchana is that we were truly feeling we trust him to represent our interests. That means a lot. In summary I can say Kanchana and Jason were acting in a professional way and I would warmly recommend anyone visiting Sri Lanka to use their services.

Highly recommended to anyone traveling to Sri Lanka who is looking for stress free holidays. We had an amazing tour through Sri Lanka with Jason. We are a family with 3 girls 11, 14 and 16. Jason was very reliable, flexible and adapted to our wishes. My husband and I organized our itinerary with Jason who was very professional and polite and accommodating. He arranged for one of his drivers, Mr. Mohan to drive us for our 5 day trip. He made time to meet us at the airport before handing us over to Mr. Mohan who was very sweet and calm and helpful. Jason kept in touch with us constantly and made sure we were comfortable and happy. He was always cheerful and caring in his interactions and we connected almost immediately. We had some issues with hotel bookings and Jason and Mr. Mohan went out of their way to resolve the issues. We did get sick towards the end of our very hectic trip but they were both very caring and kind. Our trip was too short. We will definitely use Jason again next time and highly recommend his services.

We had a brilliant time traveling Sri Lanka with Jason for 12 days. Honestly, it could not have been a better experience! Jason is just a wonderful person, always in a good mood, polite and fun. He really knows his business and every place of interest inside out. And he is truly dedicated to providing his guests with the best travel experience possible and organizes everything perfectly. We booked only 14 days ahead, which turned out to be challenging for some activities (famous blue train ride to Ella, for example), but Jason still was able to make it work! He is super reliable, punctual and makes sure guests can stay in touch providing a local SIM card, which makes communication on the road easy. Very importantly, Jason is a considerate driver; he doesn’t speed or overtake in risky places, without going too slow. He also respects crosswalks and is careful not running over cats or dogs on the street. Our tip is to really trust Jason’s hotel recommendations. We changed some of his suggestions and ended up at terrible places. On the other hand, all hotels he recommended were awesome! Same goes for restaurants, the ones he picked were always great! We followed a friend’s warm recommendation when contacting Jason and after having travelled with him we can only wholeheartedly agree! Jason truly is the best!

Jason made our trip to Sri Lanka even better. We didn’t have the easiest route because we went from Weligama to Adam’s Peak, and not to Ella, which would be faster and more comfortable, but we had a goal not to get to the top on a weekend, or a holiday, but in the end we still got to the holiday, it was worth listening to Jason and taking the easy way, but he agreed to our route. At the beginning of March there was already a problem with fuel, but Jason helped us to visit all the places we had planned for our trip and even more. Everyone enjoyed the trip very much, with Jason it is very easy to plan the day, he knows how long it will take to visit different sights, he can advise good places for lunch along the way. Helped to get to the tea factory just before closing, after a trip through a mountainous area with endless tea plantations. The tour with Jason deserves the highest praise, the van is very comfortable, everything is always on time, it is very pleasant and interesting to communicate with him. Jason is a very friendly and trustworthy driver! He picked me up from the South-coast and brought me to the Airport. On the way I had to stop at a supermarket and pharmacy, this was no problem. I would definitely recommend him!

We came to Sri Lanka on a mini tour and 4 of us went from Chilaw to Sigiriya, Nuwara Eliya, Yala and to Galle. As the title states Jason really was the best driver you could ask for. He has over 7.5 years experience and is very professional and knowledgable and made some excellent recommendations as to sights to stop off at, train times and a lovely walk through the jungle to the 9 arch bridge. He is also such a friendly guy with a cheeky smile and fantastic giggle. Cannot recommend him highly enough and when we return we will definitely be contacting Jason again.

I met Jason on my travels in Sri Lanka, just as corona virus was starting to happen and they were going into lockdown. He went out of his way to help me out, make sure I was safe and could get back to the airport. Very thankful for him! Great service. First of all: I know it really makes a strange impression that Jason only has excellent reviews but it’s honestly the only grade he deserves. We unfortunately weren’t able to visit most of our planned sights because of Covid-19 and had to rearrange or plans, locations and accommodations nearly everyday. Jason phoned people and hotels, suggested alternative things we were still able to do and most important: he always made us feel safe. Even during curfew he stood by our side and held contact. Although a 3 hours drive for him he picked us up in Tangalle (from his home near negombo) and insisted to get the same amount for the drive as people that already live in Tangalle - I think it’s not exaggerated when I say: We really met a new friend and will recommend him to everybody. Usually I don’t write any recommendations but as this experience was just perfect I had no choice :) Written by a couple from BERLIN, Germany.

Jason was our driver for the 2 weeks that we had in Sri Lanka. We'd hire Jason to be our driving guide as we travelled around and between Colombo, Mirissa, Galle, Tangalle, Ella, Pollonaruwa and Negombo. Very dependable, always early for our pickups. He made sure the vehicle was always clean. And he's such a friendly guy with good chat. He would give us tips on the area as well as what to avoid, like dishonest tour guides! We felt safe whever he drove despite being on the road with crazy bus drivers. Would definitely recommend.

My friend and i got recommended Jason as an LGBT+ friendly driver, and they werent wrong. Jason one of the most Friendliest people we have ever met. his prices are reasonable and was always there for anything I needed. i must have driven him crazy with the amount of questions i had prior to travelling but he didnt show it and gave me some very handy information. Jason didnt make us do any of the things i have read other drivers suggest tourists. i would hire him again without any hesitation!!

Jeson is a very attentive driver who knows Sri Lanka very well. He has many good tips, knows many nice corners and hotels. The tour with Jeson was very nice and is recommended. He himself is very nice.

We have already been able to see a lot of the world and have been out with a lot of guides and drivers. But rarely has anyone had such a big impact on a journey as the Jason Private Drivers team. Actually, the word driver even sells them short. Not only do they get you from A to B, they make you experience Sri Lanka in a way you would never manage yourself. What surprised us most from day one was how flawlessly we were sensed. Without us having to explain much, everything seemed to add up. The perfect coffee shop to start the day in peace. A lunch spot with exactly the atmosphere we felt like at the time. An unexpected stop with a beautiful view. A small local restaurant that we would otherwise have driven right past. There was calm driving, forward thinking and flexible response to changes. Never did we feel like there was a hurry or that we had to go through something quickly. Everything happened at our pace. Perhaps what touched us most was how the locals reacted. Everywhere we went, smiles appeared as soon as our driver arrived. People greeted him warmly and with visible respect. You can’t organize or play that; you earn that by the way you treat people. It only confirmed what we had already experienced ourselves. During the trip we regularly invited him to have a coffee or something to eat together. Sometimes he liked to go into that and we had wonderful conversations. Other times he thanked kindly, because he thought we should also have enough time together. Even in that he felt perfectly what was appropriate. Always close when needed, but never intrusive. Perhaps what we love most about this story is that it’s not about one exceptional driver, but about a company culture. A very nice holiday with many Unpacked. Wonderful beaches of Trincomalee , over the mountains of Ella to the south of Sri Lanka. Thanks for the very nice experience.
