I had the most amazing time exploring Sri Lanka with Udara! As a female solo traveller, I felt completely safe and looked after without missing out on a single thing. The days were packed with incredible experiences, the accommodation was amazing, and everything was so well organised. Udara truly went above and beyond to make this trip unforgettable. I couldn’t recommend him or this tour enough, especially to other solo female travellers. :) Thank you so much!

We booked a 8day group tour ‘Lifetime Experiences Sri Lanka’ and added 2 days in Negombo pre-tour and 2 days in Colombo post-tour. We ended up with our personal driver/guide Sujee (Sujeewa), which was a nice surprise. His obvious love for his country, great historical and general knowledge and enthusiasm made this trip a very enjoyable experience. Nothing was too much or too difficult, endless questions were answered and many laughs were shared. The culture, history, natural beauty and wildlife of this island country are something to behold and the food is amazing. All hotels were of very good standard and we were constantly amazed by the apparent ease with which Sujee navigated his way through the often chaotic traffic conditions. The 4WD safari in Yala NP was fantastic, we spotted so much wildlife, many elephants and even a leopard in a tree. A very memorable experience. Entry to some of the experiences are additional charges and whilst advertised in US$ have to be paid in the local currency. There are plenty of ATM's and money changers in the bigger cities (often jewelry stores), banks are only open 9am - 3pm. Local beer is very good and reasonably priced, wine choices are limited and quite expensive in hotels. We loved everything about this trip and would not hesitate using BH Lanka again. Booking was very easy, communication prompt and clear, airport transfers on time and a truly excellent driver/guide Sujee who exceed every expectation.
Out of the hundreds of fantastic reviews that this company has received, ours is just one more to add to the impressive ratings! Right from the start the communication with this tour company was clear, concise and prompt. It gave you a good feeling that they were going to deliver on their promise and they did!! Our 8 day itinerary was jam packed and included visits to all the must see sites in the south western part of Sri Lanka. Ravi, our chauffeur and guide extraordinaire, accompanied us to every single destination. He had incredible knowledge and insights to the inner workings of each locality and effortlessly navigated us to places and experiences on time and with minimal hassle. In short, he seemed to know everything and everybody and had local knowledge of parking spots, ticketing, the best restaurants in each town, and great photo spots. His pick ups and drop offs were always prompt and we felt very well taken care of. Ravi went out of his way to make sure that we were safe, comfortable and satisfied with each and every experience. We would highly recommend this company to immerse yourself and appreciate this wonderful and friendly country.
What an incredible tour. Ravi was my tour guide and he was just absolutely spectacular the whole 8 days. He was so kind and patient, able to adjust the schedule when torrential rain and flooding made some of the activities no longer doable. He was just 10/10. The activities were spot on. All I can say is, even though it poured rain every single day, this tour and my tour guide made me fall in love with Sri Lanka. If anything, 8 days is not enough time!
My wife and I completed the Lifetime Experience Tour (7Days) with our host Camilas. We visited Negombo, Dambulla, Minneriya Elephant Safari, Nuwara Eliya ( top location), Ella, Weligama Bay, Galle and finally Colombo. All hotels selected were first class and had great food and service. We particularly were very satisfied with the Tropical Life Resort, the Hotel Tamarind Tree and 22 Welgambay Resort. Of course our first night was at the Regal Reseau Hotel and as we were taken aback by all of Sri Lanka on day one , this hotel was a fantastic starting place for our trip and where we met our host/driver Camilas! Camilas looked after us 100%. Anything we needed he could arrange. He was amazing. Camilas suggested the elephant safari and we both thought that was a highlight of the tour. He also spoke frankly about tipping and services that were worthwhile. Camilas’ car was comfortable and he drove sensibly and safely. We have to thank him a lot for our trip being so special. We have to thank BH Lanka Tours for the special gift they gave us. Camilas was a very happy, jovial man. He explained Sorry.com to us which was very funny. He loves looking after you almost as much as he likes getting good reviews, which he deserves! Thanks for a wonderful holiday. We love Sri Lanka Mr Tim and Madam Rebecca
Fantastic 8 day tour included everything we wanted to see. From historic sites, nature, wildlife and the different regions of Sri Lanka. Our driver & guide Nalin Dissanayake was so knowledgeable and helpful
We have just completed the Lifetime Experience Tour. We had seven full days exploring some of the highlights of Sri Lanka. We enjoyed every minute of this well constructed itinerary and were particularly impressed by a number of sites we visited, such as the Yala Natinal Park. All the accommodation met expectations and due to it being low season, there were few other guests at most of the hotels. Also to be noted, is that the monsoon season did not impact our enjoyment of the trip and we experienced some days without rain. Our guide Udara was exemplary with his punctuality and clear commitment to making it a pleasant and trouble free tour for us. One example was the safari jeep driver for Yala whom Udara had arranged directly. The jeep driver took us through the second entrance to the park which has less jeeps queued. He was an astounding driver and spotter of wildlife, enabling us to see four leopards! We have no hesitation in recommending Udara as a guide and driver.
My daughter and I went on the 8 days tour «Lifetime experience» Tour. We got a taste of the fantastic country of Sri Lanka in a short time. The tour is packed and busy, but still we found time to unwind and relax. The trip was a group tour, but we were the only party participating. Our guide and driver, Camilas, was amazing, a true 5*. He is so experienced and knowledgeable, and was so kind and accommodating in every way, making it so easy to be on tour. The tour was well organized, and thanks to Camilas, the execution of the itinerary went so smooth and seamless, with no hickups or issues. He was also a good chaffeur, although traffic in Sri Lanka can appear chaotic at times, I always felt safe. Hotels used on tour was all of good standard. Most had nice pools. We had halfboard at all hotels. Dinner was buffet or set menu, we had a lot of delicious meals. The lunch prepared at the farmhouse in Dambulla was amazing. Not to be missed. To sum up, 8 days is not enough, but we made the most out of it. I would love to visit this beautiful Island and its amazing people again.
Amazing 8-Day Sri Lanka Tour: we recently had the privilege of experiencing an incredible 8-day tour of Sri Lanka, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The itinerary was well designed, packing a lot into a short space of time, providing an adventure filled with history, culture, and stunning scenery. A huge shoutout to our fabulous driver, Arjuna! His wealth of knowledge about the history and the various sites we visited made the trip so much richer. He was an excellent guide and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. The accommodations were another highlight—each hotel was fantastic! Special mentions go to Tropical Life, 22 Weligambay, and The Palms, which were all exceptional in their own unique ways. They provided the perfect balance of comfort and luxury, enhancing the overall experience. One word of caution: if you're planning to do a jeep safari, think carefully about the weather conditions, especially if it's raining. This could impact the experience. All in all, this tour is perfect for anyone looking to explore Sri Lanka's beauty and culture in a short but meaningful trip. Highly recommend!
My vacation in Sri Lanka was just wonderful. It's a beautiful country with beautiful people. Each day was well organized, so in the 8 days I really saw a lot of different beautiful places. Especially I would like to highlight my great guide - Aruna Dasanayake. He was taking care of everything, gave valuable tipps. If there was any issue, he could solve it immediately. He is a kind, helpful and very reliable person with a great sense of humor. With him you won't have to worry about anything. The only thing I would criticize is the cleanliness of the hotels. I would say the half of the hotels had this problem. So don't await a lot in this regard. On the whole I had a great vacation and would recommend to everyone to visit this wonderful country and see it's indescribable beauty with your own eyes.
I booked an 8-day tour, travelling with my 9-year-old daughter. Our guide Camilas was always reliable, took us to the agreed places, suggested interesting activities without ever insisting, assisted us with money exchange, tickets and even helped us with our shopping. He was always punctual, polite and reliable. I have appreciated the kindness received by everyone, especially towards my child. To conclude the tour, our guide invited us to a great lunch at his home and introduced us to his beautiful family. A country and a tour that we will always carry in our hearts. Thank you Camilas!
We have just returned from an eight day tour of Sri Lanka with our guide Sujee. The tour packed in so much: climbing Sigiriya Rock; a Safari; a visit to an elephant Sanctuary; a train ride through the tea plantations, boat rides; jungles, beaches, cities and much much more … phew! We were very impressed with the quality of the hotels and the staff. It really felt as if BH Lanka had put a lot of thought into choosing them. Each one was very distinct - one day on a beach with a view of the sea, the next at the top of the highest hill with views over the city, then in a Jungle area and so on. Our guide Sujee was amazing and really made the tour special. He was thoughtful, knowledgeable, punctual and a very safe driver! He made sure everything ran like clockwork and we seamlessly stepped from one activity into the next. We had a late flight on our last day and Sujee was so kind and stuck with us, keeping us entertained until late into the evening! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend BH Lanka and our guide Sujee :)
The Lifetime Experience in Sri Lanka was incredible. All of the locations were very interesting, with a good variety of activities/sights. Our tour guide, Nalin Dissanayake, was amazing. His knowledge of the history of each part of Sri Lanka was impressive. Nalin went above and beyond on every part of our trip. He was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. He is the best guide of all Sri Lanka
We participated in this tour as a couple, and the trip with Arjuna was exceptional. He was an impeccable guide and a great listener, always prioritizing our well-being over strictly adhering to the itinerary, which made our vacation truly unique. All the hotels were extremely comfortable, the food was excellent, and the activities we experienced were diverse and fantastic. I initially considered giving a 4-star rating due to the "constraints" tied to the premium nature of the trip. We would have preferred a more economical and less tourist-oriented approach, focusing more on local culture. It would have been great to include more activities in the package that were excluded (e.g., whale watching, entrance fees to the national park, etc.). However, I feel compelled to give a 5 out of 5 thanks to Arjuna's patience and dedication. He went above and beyond to show us as much of Sri Lanka as possible within 8 days, making the experience truly unforgettable.
Fantastic and enjoyable holiday of sightseeing and an excellent tour guide (Chandima) who was a safe, efficient , knowledgeable and reliable . Had a great time and will recommend to others
Our Lifetime Sri Lanka tour has been incredible. We have experienced so many things from the scenic train ride to the safari in Yala national park! The tour as well organised and ran very smoothly. All of the accomodations were amazing and it was clear that BH Lanka tours had arranged the best of everything for us. The best seats for activities and the best rooms. Our tour guide Buddhika Bandara has been so amazing. He has been super attentive to our needs, but also friendly and full of knowledge. I would 100% recommend doing this tour.
8 days went by really quickly. What a beautiful country! Each day was organised well. As a solo parent with a young child, I felt comfortable and safe throughout, and we really enjoyed our first visit to Sri Lanka. My child thoroughly enjoyed bumping into wild animals and visiting an elephant and turtle sanctionary. We were even lucky enough to come across a leopard on safari. Heshan, our tour guide, made a big effort to make sure we saw all the key sites. He was professional but still made a big effort to make jokes and bond with my child which made her time in Sri Lanka even better during some of the longer car journeys. He also shared his knowledge of Sri Lanka and its history and gave us some tips for when the tour came to an end. I also was surpised with a birthday cake with my tour guide and hotel staff singing happy birthday. My child and I are already discussing coming back with the rest of the family at some point. We really enjoyed our visit.
We did the Lifetime 8 day tour of Sri Lanka. Buddhika Herath from BH Lanka guided us excellently. He was very helpfull, very knowledgable and answered all our questions regarding sri lanka and generally regarding the tour. His driving was very safe and his car very comfortable. His timing was very good, always on time Overall we have enjoyed a really well organised tour and Mr. Heraths company. Thanks Budhika. Keep doing it!!!
I have just come to the end of an absolutely amazing trip with our wonderful guide Nalin Dissanayake. BH Lanka tours were very organised and the whole process went very smoothly. The itinerary was clear and they responded quickly to my questions before the trip. Communication was great. We were collected at the airport with a clear named sign. We completed the Lifetime Experience 8 day tour which we thoroughly enjoyed & would recommend to others. We were lucky that our tour actually just ended up being my partner and I and so we had a more personal and adaptable time. We travelled in a car for our tour rather than bus/coach. It was clean, comfortable and spacious enough. Our tour guide Nalin Dissanayake was absolutely amazing. He was kind, patient, professional, knowledgeable & timely. Every single day, he was waiting ready for us in the morning at our agreed meeting time at the hotel & each and every morning that car had been thoroughly cleaned from the day before! Nalin was a good listener and paid close attention to our needs. He always ensured that ‘Madame’ could use a bathroom at stops and used his local knowledge & links to find us suitable washrooms. He knew we loved coffee and enjoyed local culture & so on his recommendations we got to experience lots of local foods which were all delicious. I mentioned I wanted to buy some ‘elephant trousers’ and he took me to a local market & supported me in getting a fair price. He was always well prepared - umbrella ready in case of rain & a wrap ready to use if visiting a temple. I was extremely impressed with his driving skills, particularly navigating the winding mountain roads. He never once needed to refer to a map and knew his way around Sri Lanka so impressively. He made us feel at such ease which made our trip even more enjoyable. He always ensured we got local prices & took great care of us. It was a fantastic trip for a couple who had never travelled around any part of Asia and it was great that everything was done for us e.g booking train tickets etc. We kept to the itinerary (& more!) & thoroughly enjoyed what was on the list. There were lots of highlights but personally for us we loved the Safari trip, visiting the Botanical gardens, the elephant sanctuary & the train. Again, going with a company made some things much easier. We had prebooked seats on the famous train for example, which meant we had an assigned seat (unlike most travellers) for the 3 hour journey. Even just travelling in the car around the mountain roads and stopping for views was a great highlight. Even some parts of the planned itinerary which may not seem the most exciting at first glance were well organised & not too long /onerous which I have experienced with some other tours. It was also nice that we always had an air conditioned vehicle to return to after a hot part of the day. We were impressed with the standard of hotels & at each one the service was great. They greeted us warmly, always carried our luggage, offered us a welcome drink and were prompt addressing any minor issues e.g getting the tv working. We particularly liked the room at the boutique hotel in ‘Little England’. All the hotels had great breakfast and evening meal options and as a vegetarian I was impressed with the variety offered. Nalin always checked we were happy with our room etc before leaving us for the evening. He was always on hand via WhatsApp and responded promptly. We were sad leaving our wonderful guide Nalin at the end of our trip as we felt so comfortable and supported by him. He offered to still support us (we added on two extra days in Colombo) via WhatsApp after our trip with him ended. He gave us lots of advice before we separated which was great. All in all we had an absolutely amazing time & would definitely book with BH Lanka tours again - & of course request our wonderful guide Nalin Dissanayake.
We booked on this tour in June 2024 and it was the best decision we made. We were greeted at the airport by our tour guide, Indunil. He made our first time in Sri Lanka unforgettable. He would check with the hotels whether we they offered halal food, which was incredibly kind of him, and made sure we were all checked in to each hotel ok and got our luggage to us. He would communicate clearly with what our plans were and what time we had to meet. He ensured we were comfortable throughout our holiday and reminded us that the tour was ours and if we didn’t want to do an activity we didn’t need too. As we were there for my birthday, on our last day with him he went above and beyond and decorated the car with “happy birthday” balloons and got us a cake. It was incredibly thoughtful and made the last day magical! Would highly recommend this trip and Indunil as a tour guide.
We’ve come to the end of a truly wonderful tour with our expert guide Buddhika Herath. From the initial pick up right through he has been truly excellent, proudly teaching us about his country and customs while going beyond what is required as a tour guide. His driving was excellent on unbelievably crazy roads and he always made sure we were checked in with clear instructions for the following day. He even made setting the alarm at 4am worthwhile with a leopard spot on the safari! Car always spotless in the am and kept well hydrated with cold water to start every day. Have no hesitations in recommending this tour and especially Buddhika. We leave having learnt so much about this beautiful country and will return. A big TY to Buddhika who definitely made this holiday one to remember
We had 8 days trip with BH Lanka Tour. Everything went well as planned. Our driver was Bathi. He gave us a lot of information about Sri Lanka. He toke care of us well during the trip. Especially, he helped us to have a good train trip experience from Nuwara Eliya to Ella. We would use BH Lanka Tour and Bathi again. We highly recommend them if you have a plan to visit Sri Lanka.
My incredibly eventful trip was made into a unique experience by my tour guide Janaka! :) He was always very helpful and gave me a lot of background information about Sri Lanka. I never felt uncomfortable or anything like that - I was alone with him. He also gave me some hints & tips that made my stay at the various attractions more enjoyable. I visited beautiful places, beaches & cities over the 7 days - I can recommend this tour to everyone! However, you shouldn't forget that you're on a tour and of course you'll be in the car a lot ;) The hotels were always clean and the people in Sri Lanka are incredibly friendly and helpful. Thank you for the great insights - I will definitely travel to Sri Lanka again! :)
Bh Lanka had a beautiful tour for us, which enabled us to see all the beauty and history of Sri Lanka. Our tour guide Hisantha was an expert in the history of all the sites we toured. This was a trip of a lifetime and we will do it again one day. The hotels were exquisite!Hisantha went above and beyond throughout our trip to make sure we were happy. I'd definitely recommend him in the future!
The program was very varied, all great things to see and do. My guide showed me the culture how the people live and the different landscapes of Sri Lanka in a lovely way. Also the accommodations were very nice.
This is our first visit to Sri Lanka. The tour that we chose turned out to be more hectic than we originally anticipated. We had hoped to see all the interesting sites in one week but we now realize that is an impossible task. There are simply too many exciting activities and amazing places to see on this island. However we were fortunate to have a super efficient guide, Mr Buddika, to arrange our itinerary. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, patiently explaining the relevant information needed to enhance our vacation. His choice of accommodation and meals during our trip added to the memorable experience. We need to also thank our careful driver, Mr Dharmasiva , for ensuring we arrived at our destinations safely and punctually. The many spectacular scenery, the wonderful temples, memorials and parks in this country cannot be enjoyed in one week but we are delighted to have signed up for this tour with BH Lanka. We hope to be able to return to Sri Lanka in the near future to fully experience all the beauty of the country’s natural and historical locations, as well as the culture and people .
Sri Lanka is amazing, however 8 days is a little rushed and would recommend the longer trips to cover the same sights. Beaches in the south are brill- and the tour ended with the best hotel (Ekho surf Bentota). The train journey - was far from ideal: what was meant to be an 3h train ride turned out to be 7h in a packed and standing in a mere 4 carriage train. At the end, full of selfish instagrammars fighting and blocking the view just to get a shot for themselves. Our tour guide was Mr. Buddhika WHO WAS AMAZING! He is very knowledgable about Sri Lanka and imparted information in a very engaging and interesting way. He is not only so considerate and allowed us to flex the itinerary to our liking, but really went above and beyond to give us the best chance to experience Sri Lanka in the best way- e.g. on the Kandy to Ella train ride, he got in touch with others to know in real time when the train was arriving and arranged to have us board on a not so busy stop so that our group of 13 could get seats. Thank you Mr. Buddhika! Our trip was even more fantastic with you bringing us around!
This is an extremely packed tour covering ancient UNESCO heritage sites, sacred temples, cooling highlands, safari with many animals, river cruise, and fantastic beaches among other things. Not a relaxing holiday but absolute value for money is you can keep up the pace. Our guide Mr Buddhika is the most calm and efficient I have ever met , who took care of us and every little detail too. All was not to be missed except for the much hyped mountain train ride to Ella , which for us was uncomfortable and wasted too much time, despite the admittedly marvellous views. There was no time schedule to speak of, our 4 here took 6hrs , and while we were fortunate to secure seats , many people had to stand the whole way in very packed conditions. Not for the faint hearted. Definitely recommend BH Lanka for any tour of Sri Lanka!
Our 8 days whirlwind tour of Sri Lanka was amazing inspite of the weather. The itinerary stated was accomplished, hotels (both for accommodation & food) were good with the exception of 1 in Nuwara Eliya, transportation was clean & comfortable and our guide, Buddhika was exceptional. This tour is indeed a lifetime experience and one that is highly recommendable!
We throughly enjoyed our 8 day lifetime experience of Sri Lanka tour. Chinthaka was a fantastic guide, he was able to tell us all about all of the places we visited, as well as answer all our questions. He was also flexible and able to tailor our days based on our interests and preferences. He also went the extra mile to drive all the way back from Ella to pick us up from the train station in Nuwara Eliya when our train was cancelled! It was a whistle stop tour of each place as there was so much to fit into 8 days. We were both exhausted after each day, but were pleased to fit in so much. In an ideal world we would have preferred 2 days in each place, however this tour enabled us to see the most of Sri Lanka in the least amount of time. It seemed like a number of the locations on the itinerary were centred around gift shops. Therefore it would have been good to have been provided with a more detailed description of each place we visited beforehand, as a lot of the places were based around touristic experiences rather than genuine places. However, each location and experience helped give a great feel for the country and culture and we enjoyed each visit. It is clear that some of these tourist experiences keep old traditions and crafts alive. It would also have been good to have beforehand a clearer description of what was included in the price and what would require cash tips and extra payments, as a few activities were mentioned as being included in the tour price yet a lot of the people employed in these activities were only paid by tourist tip money, which therefore made us wonder where the tour money we paid was being spent and whether we were paying twice. The hotels were all excellent; mostly 4 star resorts with beautiful rooms, great facilities, friendly staff and delicious food for breakfast and dinner. The hotel locations were sometimes a bit further out of town however we usually arrived around 6pm after a busy day of sightseeing and left around 8:30am so didn’t have so much time at the hotels or in the surrounding areas. Some of our highlights were Sigirya, tea plantations, jeep safari and the Madu river cruise. In summary we really enjoyed our tour and would book another tour with BH Lanka and Chinthaka.
This was a perfect tour to see a variety of places in a short period of time. We took the 5 star option. Our fantastic tour guide tailored the tour each day to suit us and he even included some special little surprise places along the way. He had so much knowledge of the country and was very professional. We stayed in some very nice places but our favourites were the Amaya chain of hotels and the Occidental Eden Resort. My favourite things were the train ride and the safari. You also need to have a moderate fitness level to climb the 1300 steps at the Sigiriya Rock. I’m a bit older so I didn’t make it all the way to the top but plenty of people did, I’m just old. The forever Tea Plantations make the countryside look stunning. The area around Galle and up the coast is beachy and just magical. Why would you try and see the country without a guide? I would highly recommend booking through BH Lanka Tours and getting the experts to guide you through the beautiful country of Sri Lanka.
What an amazing experience, something I won’t ever forget. The tour was amazing and our guide was awesome - always sharing his knowledge with us, polite, accommodating, went above and beyond and a great person. This tour really shows the different landscape of Sri Lanka - coast to country, to the hills and mountains and back along the southern coast. Thank BH Lanka tours - a great way to see your beautiful country.
I highly recommend this tour as a way to see Sri Lanka. The days are jam packed with some long travel days but it’s very much worth it. Nuwan our guide made sure we were well looked after throughout the trip, he couldn't do enough for us. Without his local knowledge the trip wouldn’t have been the same. The hotels were lovely, always clean with attentive staff. Sri Lanka is certainly a hidden gem, the people are the kindest I’ve ever met and the country is so varied and beautiful. I’d definitely come back! Very sad to be leaving!
We had an amazing 8 day tour of Sri Lanka and we experienced a Christmas to remember bathing elephants and having a traditional lunch with a local family. Special thanks to our local guide Bhathi, with his knowledge of the areas we visited meant we experienced all that we could have possibly hoped for. Nothing was to much of an ask. From a quick detour to grab an amazing photo or a slight change in the days schedule to suit what we wanted to see more of. Every question we asked was answered enthusiastically and with great detail. Little things like the delicious cake and spices his wife made for us and the easy going conversation when driving made the trip feel very comfortable and like a friend was showing you around their favourite places. The accommodation and food inclusions, were for the most part very good. A couple of the rooms we stayed in were in need of minor renovations, however all in all they were comfortable and some exceeded expectations. We would happily recommend BH Lanka tours and especially Bhathi for a trip through beautiful Sri Lanka. And make sure to request Kamesh as your Yala safari guide, he went above and beyond to make sure we saw all the animals that could be found in the park.
Definitely a lifetime experience! So much to see and enjoy! I was travelling solo and was told another person would be joining me on the tour. Turned out to be an amazing trip!! Ravi, our driver, was absolutely devoted to making our journey an unforgettable experience. He succeeded!! I will forever recall this holiday as one of the best trips I’ve ever been on.
We had such an amazing tour of Sri Lanka with our guide, Janaka. He made the experience fun, seamless and safe. We were able to park take in many different experiences throughout our tour, opening our eyes to the rich culture and history of Sri Lanka. Would definitely recommend this tour to our friends, family and anyone interested in exploring and learning about Sri Lanka
The tour with BH Lanka was excellent. The hotels were beyond our expectations, despite the poor wifi in most places. Most of the dinners and all the breakfasts were included and the food was very good, as most were buffets with many choices. Our guide, Chinthaka Silva, was accommodating, pleasant and very knowledgeable. He was very flexible when we asked to change the itinerary a little. The price was fair. I highly recommend BH Lanka.
The whole Tour was super, the organisation was great, the program was perfect to see the most important things in 8 days. Our guide Prasanna was the best, he was helpful, very kind, took care of all Our wishes, and we learned a lot about Sri Lanka with him, would advise everybody to take him . The hotels were also super, good located, very clean with good food.
The tour operator was very responsive and helpful. We had some last minute changes and they were very accommodating. The whole process was very smooth. The hotels booked were really good, except the last one that they had to change last minute which was not really good. They were all also very careful with my allergy which took a lot of stress away for me. Heshan, the driver, was very polite, kind and always helpful. He tried to plan the routes as best as possible and was also always around if I needed any help. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country and would suggest spending a few more days than the 8 days one as it felt quite packed.
The views were amazing! We had such a lovely experience! We throughly enjoyed our time in Sri Lanka! Sidath was amazing!
I went on this 8-day tour with my best girlfriend in a private car with Sudath as our guide and it was incredible!! We covered a great deal of Sri-Lanka, visited many places and experienced much of what Sri Lanka has to offer within this short amount of time. It was a fantastic experience and was a great deal for money, especially given we expected to be in a tour group, but it was just us! This was perfect as we could alter the trip slightly as we felt & could stay longer or shorter in places. We were very lucky to have Sudath as our driver and guide, as he has a wealth of knowledge on Sri Lanka, the history, what to do and where to go. He was delightful to be on the tour with and was very funny with his jokes as well! If you go on a tour, choose this one and ask for Sudath! I will be back someday to sese the remainder of the island and I will be calling my friend Sudath for sure! :) Kimberley
Sudath was an amazing guide and made our trip a memorable experience! He was really knowledgeable and had a delightful personality. We felt extremely well looked after by Sudath and highly recommend him to anyone looking to explore Sri Lanka.
This trip has been incredible from day one, our guide Bhathiya was amazing. Sri Lanka is an amazing, beautiful country, rich with history and culture. This trip would not have been the same without him. He is a caring, very knowledgeable, intelligent man who clearly loves his country and it's people. I feel that I have learnt so much from him and understand and appreciate the true Sri Lanka far better. Beyond this, it needs to be said, on a practical level, he makes everything run very smoothly (under testing conditions at times). He appears to have excellent empathetic skills and is seemingly able to to predict and foresee what is or will be needed/required. It's all the small things that make all the difference on these trips. Beyond the amazing landscape and actually seeing a leopard, the thoughtfulness, kindness, and sense of humour of this lovely, gentle man is what makes this trip really stand out. I have found BH Lanka tours helpful, accommodating and flexible. The standard of the hotels were exceptional. Personally, I am not use to such 'posh' hotels and it was just such a treat. The only downside was we have been so busy doing and seeing amazing things that we didn't get to enjoy the facilities of the hotels as much as I would have like. But then, I really should have booked a longer tour. My message to fellow travelers is to remember to be as flexible and as accommodating as people are to you. Not everything always goes to plan, despite best efforts. Oh and the tipping, I was naive and hadn't realised tipping is customary. I think it is more second nature to some countries but might be worth a mention on the information sheet so people can prepare. I would recommend BH Lanka but if and when I return to explore further, I will be willing to change my dates if it meant that Bhathiya could be our guide again.
We arrived expecting to be on a bus with 15-20 other tourists but instead met our host, Charith (CK) for what turned out to be a wonderful private tour! In just a few short days we observed and experienced multiple aspects of the amazing country of Sri Lanka. Since the tour was private we could spend more or less time at each site we visited. Each of our accommodations was both unique and superb many with spa services. Breakfasts & dinners were often elaborate buffets offering both native and western choices. We should have planned to have more Sri Lankan currency since credit cards are not always accepted & tipping is part of the culture but, fortunately, Charith found us a convenient ATM. The highlight of the trip for me was probably the Yala Safari but there were many, many other memorable sights and activities including some not officially on the itinerary. The Sri Lankan Experience is not to be missed!
I had an amazing time. This is a must for first time travellers to Sri Lanka. The variety of experiences and beautiful sights were beyond my expectations. My guide Ravi was brilliant. I couldn't have asked for a better guide. He was very knowledgeable, professional, very friendly and knew all the best places to go see. He was also great company for me, as I was travelling solo. The hotels are very high quality and the food delicious. I will certainly be back with my family and will ensure Ravi joins me again.
Had an amazing time, the hotels were excellent. Our guide Buddhika was fantastic, we couldn’t have asked for any better!
Was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Sri Lanka having not known too much about the country before I booked. The tour included a good mix of natural and cultural experiences. The hotels were good too. The guide was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
The hotels booked by the tour operator were all excellent. We booked the private tour and have not regretted this decision. So there were two of us as a couple alone with our driver/guide and traveled comfortably in a passenger car. Our driver/guide named Buddhika always brought us safely to the destination of the day and gave us a lot of information about the country, people, wildlife, economy, history and the current political situation. His English was excellent and we had no problems talking with him. We also laughed a lot with him and had a very good time. He was always on time and always concerned about our safety. The itinerary was very suitable for getting a good overview of Sri Lanka in a short time. We can recommend the round trip to everyone without restriction, especially to those who also like to discover new things and love the uncomplicated interaction with the people. We would book this trip again! Many thanks to Buddhika and BH Lanka Tours.
- I booked very last minute for this trip but the communication by BH Lanka was absolutely superb. All queries were answered very quickly & professionally. - I ended up being a sole traveler on this trip with Nima (Nimantha Nidarshana) as my guide & driver. Nima was amazing, kind, professional, knowledgeable & always looking for the things on our travels that would particularly interest me. - Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with a huge variety of things to see. You will not stand still too much on this trip and a lot is covered in 8 days. The drives can be lengthy but I found these to be a nice time to relax. - The food is really great and has great variety. Fish is sublime as is fruit and street food. - On this trip some excursions are priced additionally. This includes the safari & whale watching. - This trip was an amazing experience. I was looking for a change of scenery & perspective & have returned home refreshed. - Do not hesitate. Go! Go! Go!
This tour lives up to its name. It’s outstanding. It’s absolutely jam-packed full of fun and interesting things to see and do. I can’t believe we have covered so much ground in a week. I had booked as part of a group tour but as it turned out I was the only one who had booked those dates as a consequence of which I got a full private tour at no extra cost. My diver and guide Nishanta is a delightful chap with a real passion for his job. He went above and beyond and could not do enough to help me. I paid extra for the deluxe hotels and have been really pleased with their high standards the Eden Resort in Beruwela and the Amaya hillside just outside Kandy merit special mention. Every day was a fresh adventure and all the activities were great. Particular standouts for me would have to include getting to wash an elephant then having her wash me at the elephant sanctuary, seeing the amazing Sigiriya , the excellent game safari at Yala and seeing a blue whale close up. If you’re thinking about doing the tour don’t hesitate. It’s great. I only had a weeks leave and I absolutely made the most of it. The only thing I’d say is that if I had had more time available then I would have done a 2 week tour.
