I booked with SLPD for our two week trip around Sri Lanka in January 24. I first made contact about a month out and Fazool helped me to determine the best option for our trip. He was very communicative and provided fast and clear responses. In the end we chose to take the same driver for the whole trip, which turned out to be the ideal option. We were met at the airport by Ifthika, our driver for the next two weeks. The car was a mid-size Toyota which looked pretty new and was very clean and comfortable. Ifthika was great, he was very responsive throughout and always turned up on time as agreed (over WhatsApp), often with a freshly washed car! He made many great suggestions along the route (several of which we took up), but was not pushy if we did not fancy something. Most importantly his driving skills are exceptional. For those of you that have driven (or been driven) around Sri Lanka it is not for the faint hearted, so having an experienced driver at the wheel helped us feel safe. We hired Dila to take myself, husband and 14month son around Sri Lanka. We landed early but he was waiting for us at the airport. Always punctual, polite, friendly. We were very lucky to get Dila as our driver. We spent 9 days with him and he accommodated and took care of us very well. He was very early and punctual for all the times we set and in fact, was always patient with us when we were running late. He kept the car very clean everyday despite us coming back with sandy shoes from the safari or the temple grounds. Dila gave us ideas and highlighted some must-dos and brought us to local insider restaurants that did not disappoint. He was always very polite and respectful of us at all times. I would very gladly recommend my friends and family visiting Sri Lanka to utilize his service. When I return to Sri Lanka again I would also be glad to have him as my driver and companion. Our trip to Sri Lanka would not of been the same if we hadn't met Upal. He arrived early to pick us up on our first day and from then on his time keeping was impeccable. Had the best time in Sri Lanka largely due to our driver Upul. My friend and I had a vague itinerary set and Upul filled it with amazing stops and recommendations. The best experience all around! Our driver named Dilan has been an absolute pleasure to have while exceeding our service expectations. He was always on time, drove safely, kept the car clean, dressed fresh every day, had a great ‘can do’ attitude, had all the insider’s knowledge and was treating us to Sri Lankan stories, trivia, tips and advice. He has been an invaluable help during our time in Sri Lanka and while recommending a lot, we never felt he was trying to sell us something— the choice was always ours and he was very respectful of our itinerary and wishes. He also respected our privacy and only joined us when invited to do so. In the car he gave us his own pillow so that we can have a more comfortable sleep in the car while transferring from city to city which we thought was very kind. He also had umbrellas for when it was raining and bottles of water when we first arrived. I travelled with Sri Lanka Private Driver on 8 August 19 from Dondangoda to Ella (approx. 5 hour trip). Communication leading up the the trip was great and price was very fair. The driver was very punctual, friendly and a great guide. He pointed things out to me on our trip and insights from a local which I loved. We even stopped to pick a cinnamon leaf off a plant near the road. Car was in fantastic condition and the 5 hour trip went quickly with friendly conversation. I am planning to use them again on the next leg of my trip from Ella to Nuwara Eliyah to Kandy and later from Kandy to Sigiriya. Highly recommended

Ranjith is a very good and safe driver. He has a lovely comfortable van (with seatbelts) and we managed to visit all the places on our list. He is very easy going and nothing is too much trouble for him. He is a lovely person and I would definitely recommend him as a driver. We got a good price as well of $320 for about 5 days. This price will depend on the route you take. The company will also make an itinerary for you if you tell them where you want to go. However make sure you check all the places carefully to see if everything is in the correct place. We did book a 10 day trip in advance via trip advisor because of the good recommendation of privious travelers. When we arrived we met our driver Upul who was very sympathic from the first moment on. He did drive savely in every situation and he helped us also apart from just driving (e.g. arranging some trips, contacting the hotels, support with the Srilanken sim card,...) and was like a close friend for the whole trip. He was very flexible regarding our personal expectation :) when we will come back some day we will for sure choose Upul again!

I engaged Sri Lankan Private Drivers for my trip to Sri Lanka covering Colombo, Sigiriya, Dambulla, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Galle and Unawatuna. My driver, Siran, was awesome help throughout the entire trip. I told him my itinerary on the first day and he suggested spending one less night in Kandy and see Nuwara Eliya instead. So I decided to do that with no regrets. Siran knew exactly where the nice sights were and provided suggestions based on my preferences. It was honestly a great experience and would definitely do it again when I am able to come back to see Jaffna, Tricomalaee and Arugam Bay. Highly recommended!

We have just finished a trip around Sri Lanka in a van with Asanka. Just got back from our honeymoon in Sri Lanka and I must say that my experience with Sri Lanka Private Driver and particularly our driver Dilantha was nothing short of perfect. Before booking i was worried about relinquishing the driving to a third party as I was worried that having someone tag around with us for 2 weeks on our honeymoon would get annoying but having done it i must say it was perfect and the only way to see Sri Lanka. Dilantha was an amazing driver. He was incredibly safe and navigated the sometimes crazy Sri Lankan roads very calmly and professionally. He was so knowledgeable and was instrumental in helping us plan our day to day itinerary. I had a pretty good idea of what i wanted to do in Sri Lanka but Dilantha made the logistics so much easier. Sometimes there are quite long car journeys but Dilantha was amazing at breaking them up by showing us interesting sites and attractions en route so we never felt like we just spent ages in the car. As i said i was worried that spending two weeks on my honeymoon with a third party was going to be a bit weird but Dilantha was great at knowing when to give us space, when to help us and give us guidance. He made so much effort into making us have an unforgettable trip, i really can't fault him. Overall a great experience and can't recommend the company or Dilantha enough.

We had a perfect holiday in beautiful Sri Lanka. Thanks to our excellent driver - Mahesh - the experience was even better. Always on time and very helpfull he drove us always safe through the whole country. He introduced us to the various fruits this country has to offer and gave us adresses of really local restaurants. He is a warm and helpfull person and the kids were really fond of him. One of our kids was feeling sick for one day and Mahesh took care of him. Everyday the car was cleaned and in perfect condition. These guys were great from the start to finish. Easy to deal with via email before arriving and once we got to Sri Lanka our driver Bumbi was amazing.
