We had the most amazing time on our trip around Sri Lanka. Our guide Udara was amazing. He provided tips and lots of useful information about the sights. Udara also shared info with regards to the country, culture and food. We especially enjoyed the cultural village and learning more about Buddhism. Every day was a fun day and we love the country, the people, the food, the sights and the animals!. We were very lucky on both safaris to see lots of animals including elephants and a leopard. We highly recommend a private guude... ask for Udara. Istuti 🙏

Here, you’ll be greeted by your dedicated tour leader who will ensure a smooth and comfortable transfer to your hotel. (Already in the country? No worries we also offer convenient pick-ups from hotels in both Colombo and Negombo.) At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular sunset views across the forest canopy and rolling plains a truly unforgettable sight.

Chosen by King Vijayabahu in 1070 as the seat of his kingdom, Polonnaruwa flourished with temples, palaces, and statues that still whisper tales of a glorious past. The best way to soak in the grandeur of this archaeological treasure? On two wheels. Hop on a bicycle and meander through time-worn stone pathways, shaded ruins, and serene reservoirs. It’s a peaceful, awe-inspiring way to connect with the spirit of ancient Lanka.

As the first light of dawn touches the horizon, the landscape below awakens in gold and crimson hues a truly breathtaking way to greet the day.
After breakfast, you’ll visit the magnificent Royal Cave Temple complex in Dambulla, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and a cornerstone of Sri Lankan Buddhism. This towering rock, rising 160 meters above the plains, shelters five richly decorated cave temples, home to over 150 Buddha statues and intricate ceiling murals that date back more than 2,000 years. It's the most extensive and best-preserved cave temple complex on the island a place where silence and devotion echo through stone corridors.
In the afternoon, your journey winds up into the hills toward Kandy, the final stronghold of the Sinhalese kings and a revered site for Buddhists around the world. Your first stop in Kandy is the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, where a revered tooth of the Buddha is enshrined in a beautifully ornate palace. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this temple is the spiritual heart of the nation a place of prayer, lotus offerings, and golden tranquility.

Learn about the ancient techniques still used today to mine, cut, and polish sapphires, rubies, and other precious stones a craft passed down through generations.
As you ascend into the highlands, the landscape transforms into a patchwork of green endless rows of tea bushes climbing hillsides beneath blankets of mist. Along the way, you’ll stop at a working Ceylon tea factory, where you’ll witness the delicate art of tea production, from hand-plucking to processing. End the tour in the most fitting way possible sipping a warm, fragrant cup of freshly brewed Ceylon tea, right where it was born.
Once in Nuwara Eliya, enjoy a relaxed walking tour through the heart of this quaint town. Admire the British-era architecture that defines the city from the postcard-perfect Queen’s Cottage and iconic Hill Club, to the red-bricked Post Office and elegant Grand Hotel. We are a family of 4 (2 kids, 5 and 10 old) and had an incredible experience in Sri Lanka! Chalani took care of the organization, she has a very structured and clear communication, and was able to accommodate our changes and tailor the tour for our family. The tour was a balanced mix of adventure, culture and relax, never too boring nor too stretched, with good activities for all the family. Our guide Sakun has been always professional and very patient considering the 2 kids - he's very knowledgeable and passionate about Sri Lanka's sites and history, and often went beyond to accommodate our pace and requests. The Kataragama festival was a last-second change and highlight of the trip! Thanks for the great work, you made our stay memorable!
We have spent a fabulous 10 days with Udara, our driver and guide, seeing so many of the fabulous sites across Sri Lanka. We can’t speak highly enough of the people, food and culture of the county. The trip with BH Lanka Tours has been without fault and would highly recommend
The team at BH Lanka and our Driver Guide Suranga made the trip an absolute dream. From our pick up with orchids in Colombo throughout Central and South East Sri Lanka was well organised and adapted before arrival and in the trip to suit our group. 2 adults in 40s and our mothers in their 70s. From finding delicious lunches and recommending different activities we could not have had a better time. I highly recommend BH Lanka and Suranga to anyone planning a visit. Sri Lanka is open for tourism so book your tour now.
Nishantha Rathnayaka was an exceptional tour guide who made our 12-day journey through Sri Lanka truly unforgettable. From the very beginning, he was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing rich insights about the country’s history, culture, and hidden gems that we would have never discovered on our own. What stood out the most was his flexibility and accommodating nature. He always adapted the itinerary to suit our interests and pace, making sure we felt comfortable and never rushed. Whether it was adjusting plans last minute or recommending great local spots, Nishan handled everything with ease and professionalism. His friendly personality and genuine care made us feel more like we were traveling with a friend than a guide. If you’re looking for someone reliable, well-informed, and easy to travel with in Sri Lanka, I highly recommend Nishan.
My wife and I have had an absolute blast travelling around SriLanka. We saw so many incredible sites and encountered a vast spectrum of amazing experiences. From the moment that we met our guide (Hishantha), we felt like we were VIP’s. Hishantha was very knowledgeable and could speak on any topic. I’m pretty sure that we were very lucky to have been assigned this gem of a man. By the time our tour was over, we felt that we had been lucky enough to enjoy our tour with a friend rather than a guide. I commend Hishantha and his team to anyone that is contemplating a visit to SriLanka. I also would as that the communication from the get go with BH Lanka Tours was first class and timely. Bravo 10/10.
Very good tour and our guide Sakun very friendly and funny and knowledgeable and made our trip unforgettable.
We had the greatest time in Sri lanka. Our driver/tour guide had an excellent customer service above and beyond. Thank you Janaka for the excellent job! You kept us safe all the time.
Amazing must do trip . Our tour guide Camillas was amazing . He made sure we had lots of fun and adventures. We had great food saw some really cool elephants birds and lizards . Food was outstanding .
We had an amazing time from climbing sirigiya rock to cycling through polonnaruwa and watching the elephants in the safari, it was all we could dream of and more. Our guide Camilas was courteous and very professional. Although we were moving from location to location and hotel to hotel, I couldn't dream of a better way to experience the highlights that sri lanka has to offer.
Booked via Tour Radar, about 2 months before, and a month before the cyclone hit Sri Lanka. BH. Tours assured us it was fine to continue, and it was. There was still some evidence of landslides being cleared in the Hill Country, but nothing that stopped us being where we needed to go - and we joined the train 3 stops further on, so didn’t miss too much - we were seated on the right in first class which was the mountainside, but did manage to sit on the left for a little while to see more of the views. BH had arranged the hotels but our guide / driver Aruna Dasanayake arranged everything else for us along the way, and couldn’t have been more helpful, offering suggestions for coffee stops/lunch/ changes etc as required. We booked this as a tour expecting others, but were delighted to find it was a private driver and car just for us. We felt very safe all along the trip with Aruna, and he kindly helped us with an accidental overcharge from one of the hotels. Some of the hotels were better than others eg Lyndon Grove was probably the best for food and accommodation, but the 2am brick delivery outside our window to the construction site next door was unfortunate. We did get bored with the international buffet (and would rather have just had an option to choose a main) - but we were very grateful not to have to leave the hotel to search for food. Overall, and especially for Aruna, I still give 5 stars …
Hishantha and Keerthi were our tour guide and driver respectively. They were professional, courteous and extremely flexible when we needed to tweak the itinerary. Hishantha was knowledgeable on the various locations, and Keerthi was a very safe driver who cleaned the van interior daily making for a pleasant travel environment. The tour itself covered a lot of ground, allowing us a good overview over those parts of the country and giving us a good sense of where we might like to explore in depth on a later visit. This necessarily meant that there was not a whole lot of time for pure relaxation and to make the fullest use of the various hotels we stayed at. Ancient sites, culture, hill country, wildlife safaris and beaches - five major aspects of Sri Lanka - were all included in the itinerary. The hotel quality was generally decent, although some stood out more than others. We found hotel staff in general very accommodating to our specific needs, such as special food when some in our party had stomach issues, or getting a bunch of clothes laundered overnight. Overall I would recommend this tour for first time visitors who want a broad taste (including plenty of Sri Lankan food options such as “game kema” and seafood) of this beautiful island nation.
Excellent all round tour to experience the key highlights that Sri Lanka is famous for! Our tour guide Hishantha was very thoughtful, accommodating and patient. Our driver Kirthi was friendly and very skilled in all types of traffic and narrow winding roads. Highly recommended this tour if you only have a couple of weeks in Sri Lanka.
Excellent tour, Camilas was a great guide and excellent driver. Visited some very unique places, the safari was the best.
I was absolutely stunned by the nature as well as cultural richness of the country! The tour was an amazing mix of this: Safaris, where we saw elephant beards and various other plants and animals, and visits to world heritage sites such as Lion rock, Galle Fort and the old palace. I’d especially like to thank our guide Aruna, who always gave us insightful explanations and made the whole trip a great experience!
I was completely satisfied with BH Lanka Tours. Everything worked perfectly, all processes were well organized, and every schedule was followed precisely. This gave me peace of mind throughout, and I was able to enjoy the entire experience without any worries. From the very beginning, I felt well taken care of. I also wanted to change one hotel and BH Lanka pursued my inquiry within one day and made it possible. My guide Janaka Priyadarshana was absolutely wonderful. He was not only very kind and professional but also attentive to all my wishes. Even when I wanted to deviate from the original plans, he was flexible and made it happen without any issues. What meant the most to me was the strong sense of safety he provided at all times. He consistently checked to make sure I was comfortable, was attentive to my well-being, and was always available whenever I needed him. With him, I felt very, very safe and thoroughly cared for.
We did a 10-day tour of Sri Lanka with Nishantha Kumara as our guide and had a great experience. He was flexible, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about his country. His insights added depth to the places we visited, and he was always reliable and easy to work with. We learned a lot and really enjoyed the trip.
With Nalin Dissanayake as our guide, our journey through Sri Lanka became far more than just a vacation—it was an enriching, unforgettable experience. His deep knowledge, attention to detail, warm personality, and genuine care made every day smooth, insightful, and full of memorable moments.
AMAZING!!! From start to finish! Chintaka is fantastic (as was our driver Lalleh). Super professional and knowledgeable. He catered for our every need and understood what we wanted as a group of 4. This is a ‘doing tour’ so don’t think you’ll be spending hours by the pool everyday.. but what an experience! Thank you Chintaka … we’ll be back!
Just arrived home from a wonderful experience of Sri Lanka. We had our own persoal driver HESHAN. We covered around 1,000km with him in a people carrier. Would strongly reccomend him, as due to very poor weather for some of the day trips, he suggested alternatives, which were well recieved by us.
I loved the tour. My highlights were Sigiriya Rock, the sunset hike to Pidurangala Rock, Royal Cave Temple, and the National Parcs. Ravi, my guide, was very kind. I highly recommend this tour with him. He was organized and knows everything about the cultural things and the background. I was solo on this tour, I felt safe and I really enjoyed my trip. I learned a a lot about Sri Lanka and its people and culture. Ravi explained a lot of things to me and my wishes were taken into account. I would definitely book another trip with Tourradar and Ravi.
A magical and well-put-together trip. I found I would have some free time out in Asia at less than two months' notice and contacted BH Lanka based on the reviews here and elsewhere. We talked through a number of options before deciding their nine-day itinerary would be a good fit for both my time and budget, with an extra night booked in a beach hotel at the end to await my flight. Information was good, with an extensive itinerary, additional anticipated costs and accommodation info all supplied before I arrived in Sri Lanka. My driver/guide was Nishantha Kumara, an extremely knowledgeable and dedicated person with a real passion for showing off the country to its fullest. The vehicle for the adventure was a Toyota Prius, its air con was an asset on some hot days as well as providing a very comfortable ride on some of the rougher interior roads. BH Lanka's tried and tested schedule took all the stress out of deciding when and where to go, and this trip has something for everyone: stunning wilderness adventures, ancient cultural sites, or just beach lounging. Highlights for me were the train ride through tea country (with Nishantha dealing very well when challenging weather caused issues), the two safaris we undertook encountering elephants, crocodiles, water buffalo and more, and discovering the ancient kingdom of Polonnaruwa. I was offered flexibility over what we did but I was more than happy to let those more experience show me the best of what Sri Lanka had to offer. BH Lanka and Nishantha made for a seamless, high-quality experience and I can not recommend them enough.
Both of the tour guides in our trip are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The first time we visit Sri Lanka, and we love your country very much.
Really nice experience, chinthaka was a fantastic guide and driver, friendly and really helpful ,and patient with kids, we really enjoyed this amazing trip and country.👍
Great tour! The best part was our guide Janaka. He was so kind and fun, always patiently answering our many questions about everything. We felt very well taken care of. He always made sure we had plenty of water, were looked after at each hotel he dropped us off at and made it an unforgettable experience. If you come here, you must have him be your guide! The hotels were more high end than I had expected which was nice, and it was very nice to be driven by air conditioned car to each location. Just a tip if you are prone to car sickness - the roads are very winding here through the mountains so make sure you have some medication if that's an issue for you.
Great tour we'll organized and fantastic guides. They tailored the tour to our needs as we went which was amazing. Bus driver very safe. Buddies and uditha were excellent guides.
It was a precious 9 days Sri Lanka experience tour with a friendly Janaka, who toured me to the best nature places in Sri Lanka. He guided me professionally with a big touch of kindness with a bunch of conversation during our tour. He is a Sri Lanker and he knows the places to visit with. I am contented with my Hotel Accomodations. Heads up, Janaka and thank you Tour Radar. I fully recommend the tour.
Fantastic adventure with great guide in lovely vehicle and great driver.hotels were fantastic and food delicious and brilliant options
We had very high expectations for our trip to Sri Lanka and we were certainly not disappointed! From the commencement of our adventure at Colombo Airport to the final farewell, we were exceptionally well looked after by BH Lanka Tours, provided by Bookmundi. Our tour guide and chaperone, Ruvin, was excellent and his cheerful and accommodating manner ensured that every day went smoothly and was full of interest. Thank you, Ruvin. Our experience: Hotels: All of our hotels were of exceptional quality with very attentive staff. We were ‘half board’ and the food was very tasty with many selections, both local and international. Landscapes and Scenery: Magnificent and diverse. Very dramatic. Mountains: travelling through the mountains was so enjoyable and the rich fauna kept us engaged all of the time. History: Sri Lankan culture goes way back and the cultural sites are well worth exploring. Sigiriya Rock: Wonderful to see at sunset. Mountain train ride: A must do excursion with lots to see along the way, including tea plantations and agriculture. Kandy: Alluring at sunset. You must visit the temple. Beaches: Along the south and west coast we briefly enjoyed some lovely beaches, but be careful about where to swim. Did I mention the elephants? OMG! The elephant sightings in 2 reserves were simply spectacular. To see these beautiful creatures in their habitat, interacting with each other under their own terms was so special and we just couldn’t get enough of them. Luckily there were many to see and their bond and affection for each other was just mesmerizing. If for no other reason, Sri Lanka is worth visiting just to get up close to these beautiful animals. Finally, as we said our fond farewell to Dear Ruvin, we shed a tear and yet smiled as well knowing full well that we are taking home with us some lifelong, wonderful memories. Sri Lanka 🇱🇰. Don’t hesitate, just do it! Thanks to everyone who made our experience so special. Tony and Criselda. Florida USA April 2024.
I made a 9-day tour with my two children (6 and 8 years old) through Sri Lanka: organized by BH Lanka Tours and accompanied by Leelarathna Nakandala (Leela) as our tour guide. As a world traveler, I have a lot of experience with tour agents and guides… BH Lanka Tours and Leela don't get just a good quotation from me… but simply the best, most excellent score ever!!! Upon request, BH Lanka Tours came up with a travel proposal incredibly quickly and completely customized, every communication afterwards came within 24 hours, on site they maintained daily contact with the guide to see if everything went according to our wishes. If excursions could not take place due to third parties, alternative options were immediately proposed: the flexibility they had offered when drawing up the itinerary was also continuing on site! Nothing but praise, no downside: the only thing I can save you from is making the mistake of not booking through them !!! Deep respect for this flawless organization! And to push it further to perfection: ask guide Leela !!! Before leaving I had wondered whether I would like it being with a guide all the time with my two energetic kids … but what a great man he was!!! He exceeded all expectations: he literally helped with éverything and always with a huge smile, we were crazy about him, the children flew into his arms in the morning, clambered over him all day and the farewell was one with many tears ... you don't cry for a guide, you cry for a friend! So, your new friend in Sri Lanka… let his name be Leela … I’m sure you will never forget him! Thankx, Leela, a thousand times, … you are absolutely a wonderful person!!!
hi everyone! it was a great trip.everything was planed 👌🏼and ravi was a very nice driver! thank u!
Amazing 12 days around Sri Lanka. Highlights were hot air balloon ride, meeting local farming family who created the most delightful curry for us. In my top 10 meals ever. Mind blowing. We hiked up sigiriya rock and stayed at some gorgeous hotels and beach resorts. The sea is awesome. This tour was so well organised and executed. Couldn’t have asked for more and it certainly was a dream holiday. Most thanks of all go to Buddhika for looking after us so well and giving us that knowledgable insight into his beautiful country. Would recommend 100%. Excellent value for money. There is no way you could organise something better yourself. It was safe and planned and includes everything you could want. You can adjust an tailor it with nothing too much trouble. Great communication pre holiday and during the trip. Always on time. Fantastic. Well done and best wishes for the future.
We made a fantastic 18-day trip with BH Lanka. The trip went along the highlights of Sri Lanka and was well tailored to our wishes. It was and journey full of highlights from beautiful temples, safaris with leopards and lip bears to walks and views. In addition, we had an excellent guide and driver in Sakun, who was always there for us and flexible where needed. Really recommended this organization and guide.
Wonderful holiday and had a nice and sweet supervisor. Enjoyed Sri Lanka
Wonderful trip had. We have seen everything. The Fullmoon ceremony in Anuradhapura. Lucky it was like a full moon. A wildlife safari with many wildlife such as antelope, deer, crocodile, elephants and a black bear. Lots of birds too. Tea plantations and factory where tea is produced. Covered wagon tour with an OS and then catamaran and cooking at a local. Beautiful views . Every day a different hotel, from chic to good. The food was good everywhere. Udara was our guide/driver. We couldn't have asked for better. A good driver and very neat on the car. Udara has a lot of knowledge of Sri Lanka and knows how to convey it well. We sometimes experienced heavy rains, so the program had to be adjusted. Udara arranged all that fantastically. Overall with Udara have had a wonderful trip. Finally, HB Tours is an organization where you can book a beautiful trip and then also guide it well.
