Byron Travel Car Rental, Agios Nikolaos, Crete. An amazing company!!! During our holiday in Crete, we rented a car because we wanted to see some of the island. The car was conveniently delivered right to our holiday accommodation, which was very pleasant and comfortable. However, when the five of us set off the next day to visit some scenic spots, it turned out the car wasn't powerful enough; we could barely make it up the steep roads. That wasn't ideal... but... when I reported this to Byron Car Rental the next day, they immediately acknowledged the issue and—without any hassle—provided us with a better, more luxurious car for the remainder of our holiday! They didn't make a fuss at all; in fact, they were genuinely sorry about the situation and apologized for the inconvenience. I received a significant upgrade at no extra cost. Great company, good customer service, nice driver

My driver was punctual, provided me with information and assisted me in getting to ATMs, and booking tour guides. He also arranged traditional lunches. I always felt well informed, and every detail taken care of. Such a pleasure, thank you Sujith.

We felt very safe with Rupuni while he drove us from Sigiriya to Anuradhapura. He even stopped so we could take a photo of a wild elephant walking along the road. We talked about lots of things during the trip. He was very friendly.

Very happy with the services of Lakpura. Right from receiving at the airport to taking to the various attractions to taking care of the group, they were on top of everything. Would definitely recommend them. Special mention for Chaithra and Ashan who kept making sure that everything is smooth.

Sri Lanka 21-28 Nov 25. Tour of North Eastern and Central Sri Lanka. What a fantastic service which exceeded all my expectations. Our chauffeur was extremely keen and so proud of his country and wanting to fully support the tourist industry. I full expected just to be taken form one place to another and left to our own devices - not a bit of it. We had effectively a 7 day guided tour of every inch of the Country that we could get to, which was explicitly and definitely tailored to what we wanted to do. Whether we wanted to get to a certain place for a specific photo, or simply stop for a cup of coffee, nothing was too much bother and eminently achievable. The car was clean, tidy, safe and comfortable; the one down side was a breakdown, but that is non-one's fault. Anoj was our main driver and superb. Similarly, Pradeep who started and finished our time was outstanding. In fact Pradeep merits special mention for working so hard to ensure that despite horrendous floods and landslides, that we made it to the airport on time to depart. I cannot speak highly enough of the whole experience. And !!!! The most important part. I thought is was extremely good value for money; especially when you consider the flexibility and convenience, for example you can safely leave your valuables in the car for sightseeing, the driver can drop you at one end of a trail and pick you up at another, the list goes on. Gold plated brilliance.

My wife and I went to Sri Lanka for our Honeymoon. First of all, what an amazing country. Second we hired a car and driver with Lakpura for our entire trip and I would not have done it any other way. What a great value, so convenient and worry free with the freedom to go wherever and whenever we liked. We even took the train from Ella to Kandy and our driver was waiting for us at the station. We had a great car and were comfortable the entire time. Even with 2 large suitcases, 1 small one and our carry-ons. What made it so great was our driver Upul was the best. So eager to share any information, great communication, professional and even took us to a couple of cool sights we didn't even know existed.

My daughter and I arrived in Colombo airport from the Uk, and were met by Chinthaka, a driver with this company. He arrived on time, and drove us 5 hours to our first hotel in Sigiriya. 2 days later he drove us to Nanu Oya to catch the train to Ella. Due to wrong information from the hotel, we cut the time to get to the train extremely fine, but Chinthaka drove v well and got us to the station with 15 mins to spare. Quality of driving and car very good Highly recommend.

We chose Lakpura to arrange a 3 day tour from our hotel near Yala and finish in Negombo and were very pleased that we did. We originally gave them our ideas of what we hoped to do and see on the way and then they offered some very good advice and tips based on their local knowledge of what they thought was best for us. Overall nothing was too much trouble for them (thanks to Madubashini Dassanayaka who organised/ booked everything and also our driver Shantha who was excellent throughout and always on time). We got the exact seats we wanted on the train from Badulla to Kandy and our whole tour went like clockwork from the moment we were collected from our hotel to when we were dropped off. We cannot thank Lakpura enough and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We were collected from Colombo airport and the driver very kindly recommended that we get a drink and a snack at the airport cafe for the journey kalutara. Very professional and friendly service .. made for a great hassle free start to our holiday

We were on holidays in Sri Lanka for the New Year and had arranged for chauffeur driven car pick up at the Colombo airport for drop off at Unawatuna Beach House. The driver was very courteous & met us at the airport punctually .... the car was neat and clean and well maintained.We enjoyed a very pleasant drive from Colombo to Unawatuna with the driver sharing his knowledge of the country with us. Overall , Lakpura services for transfers were great and much appreciated. Similarly , I used Lakpura services for transferring us from Unawatuna to Kandy and they were able to provide a knowledgeable driver who was able to guide us on the way to also visit Susantha Spice Gardens and the Tea & Gem Factory in Kandy. Overall , we made a great decision to choose Lakpura to arrange our holiday stays and transfers. For sure , on our next trip to Sri Lanka, we will again choose Lakpura for stress free and & enjoyable holidays.

The transfer was great. Our flight was delayed by around an hour or so. The driver was still waiting at the arrivals for us with the clear sign. We then had a very comfortable journey up to Kandy. Would 100% recommend using this. It was so easy when we were tired after our long journey!

We booked for a 4 day tour of Sri Lanka and wanted to be collected from the airport and dropped at the port for a cruise in 4 days time. We could not have choose a better way of seeing areas of Sri Lanka and in the comfort of your own private car and driver. We researched areas of the country we wanted to see and Jason arrange our schedule. Our allocated driver Shanta was excellent from the moment we arrived at the airport he was there with a placard showing our name right until dropping us off at the port in Columbo to board our Cruise. The places we decided to visit were the elephant sanctuary in Pinnawala, Galle, fishermen on stilts, Turtle sanctuary, herd and spices farm. ONE WARNING: Driving in Sri Lanka is not for the faint hearted so be prepared for an adventure.

The transport we arranged from Colombo to Sigiriya was very good. We were picked up on time and our driver was very helpful and lovely. During the trip he stopped to show us points of interest and informed us of historical events. I was quite worried when I initially booked the transport on line as the site was not a recommendation to me. But I found the booking process very easy and the e mails came straight through to advise of the pickup confirmation. I could not fault anything and I would highly recommend this transport. Efficient, polite, safe, responsive. Really great service, especially for women traveling alone. Recommend.

Drivers were on time, the cars were clean. However, the mentioned in the invoice water was missing on both transfers. Drivers ride nicely on empty roads, but in the city and during traffic it was a horrible ride. They get too close to the car in front and slam the breaks, we had to hit the panel/seats in front of us multiple times and remind driver not to be so rough (5 min of such rode got me extremely motion sick). Also, one driver was in a rush to drop us off, was speeding and changed lanes between cars, we felt unsafe and asked him to slow down and bring us to destination alive. For the rate we paid, I expect someone who does not need to be reminded of driving with comfort. Yes, we are westerners, we are not used to the local driving style, but that is the reason we pay "western price" for transfers. We got similar rides from other companies who charged less. Will not use services of this company again.

We booked a transfer to the airport with Lakpura and we had a very smooth hassle free trip - taking into account the traffic :) We would have no hesitation in using Lakpura again on our next trip to Sri Lanka.

As our plane was arriving in Shi Lanka at midnight , we made a decision to book a car to our accommodation and avoid the usual hustling the occurs with taxis at the airport. Our driver was there waiting when we got through immigration and 40 mins later we were in our hotel . Our driver was polite and the vehicle was clean and well maintained. The cost is the same as the official taxi price to Colombo, without the hastles associated in negociating down to the correct price. I would highly recommend this service, especially if arriving late at night.

Good prompt service provided as advertised. Some issues locating driver at the arrival lounge largely due to arrival and pick up times nominated by me were different but contactable person provided resolved this issue readily.

Very quick and efficient communication from the company, reliable service and the driver who came to pick me up was at the right spot, at the right time and was very polite and courteous. I used them twice and was a pleasant experience on both occasions. Reasonably priced.

I contacted Laleesha on the internet at the last minute before flying out from Sydney. The dealings were efficient, pleasant and terribly simple. So much so I worried about the outcome. However on arrival in Colombo, late at night, sure enough there was a smiling driver holding a large sign with my name. A very comforting result. Then a swift and pleasant exit to a great car, it could not be easier. Cannot recommend this company more highly.

<p>Poor service, many scam doings, for example, pretend no driver quarter provided by hotel to cheat for 3000 Lkr per night. Not clear mileage to show customer.. many many small tricks make customer feel unhappy.</p>

We took two transfers airport - hotel back and forth, plus two days transfers from Colombo to Weligama and back. On the way from Colombo to Weligama we visited the turtle farm. On the way back we visited Galle, which is a nice historic experience, worth to spend half an hour on the wall of the old fort and some shopping at the gem factory. The way back to Colombo, by the highway was extremely difficult because of the rain, but the driver, Cristo Alvis is a pro. Thank you Cristo!

We had a very nice driver, who knew how to show us around Sri Lanka as we needed although the weather did not necessarily allow us. Choosing a driver brings a lot of good things but there are also constraints. We would have liked to be a little more free in our activities and a little less in the rush for fear of not doing everything.... I recommend this company for the availability and kindness of the staff.
