In August 2026, my wife and I travelled around Sri Lanka for three weeks, visiting many of the country’s major sights. Sasika was our driver and guide throughout the trip and also provided our vehicle. Every aspect of our trip with Sasika was close to perfect. His English was very good, and he was able to explain clearly what we were seeing, as well as giving us valuable insight into local customs, culture and everyday life. Sasika was reliable, trustworthy, punctual and extremely helpful throughout our journey. Just as importantly, he was a great companion to have with us for three weeks. He was friendly and personable while always respecting our independence and allowing us to enjoy the trip at our own pace. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Sri Lanka, and Sasika played a major part in making the experience so enjoyable and trouble-free. We would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone planning a trip to Sri Lanka. I could not recommend him more highly.

Our tour guide Ravi was amazing and made this tour an unforgettable experience! He was very knowledgeable of the county, very flexible on the itinerary - there were some excursions we didn’t want to do, and other things we wanted to see and it was not a problem for him. He advised local restaurants, and made us feel really comfortable throughout. The tour itself was wonderful, and in 6 days we managed to see a vast amount but absolutely should have stayed longer, but we will be back! The company we booked with arranged the hotels - most of them were wonderful. Food was always amazing. We loved our holiday and will absolutely return to Sri Lanka!
We have loved our tour around Sri Lanka. The trip has been beyond our expectations. Our tour of Sri Lanka has been an unforgettable experience, every day offered something unique. From ancient temples to lush mountains, wildlife safaris and stunning coastal beaches, taking us through some of the country’s most iconic destinations. Nishantha Kumara our guide and unofficial ambassador of Sri Lanka was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and genuinely passionate about Sri Lanka. His insights into the country’s history, culture, wildlife and traditions brought each destination to life and his pride in sharing his homeland was evident every day. Along our journey we witnessed a man respected by all and he always seemed to find the best place to park, take a photo, observe an incredible view and eat. We highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to discover the very best of this beautiful country.
Ten days, two happy travellers, one absolutely outstanding driver and guide. If you’re planning a trip to Sri Lanka, stop searching — Chanuka is your man. We covered an amazing amount of ground together: Colombo, the sacred ruins of Anuradhapura, the Dambulla Cave Temples, the mighty Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a thrilling Jeep Safari, the cultural gem of Kandy with its Temple of the Tooth, a Tea Factory near Nuwara Eliya, the legendary scenic train ride to Ella, and finally the beautiful coastal city of Galle. Every stop was perfectly organised, stress-free, and memorable.. special thanks to Maleesha for the perfectly planned itinerary that made everything flow so smoothly. What makes Chanuka truly special? Where do we start. His knowledge of Sri Lanka’s history, culture, and wildlife is extraordinary. His English is excellent, making every conversation and explanation a pleasure. He is punctual and reliable to the dot. every single morning, without exception. His local food recommendations led us to the most authentic and delicious meals of the trip. And his driving was smooth, safe, and confident throughout. But perhaps our favourite surprise? Chanuka is an incredible photographer. The photos he took of us across the entire trip are absolutely sensational - pure treasures we will look at forever. Oh, and did we mention he is hilarious? Ten days in a car together and we laughed the whole way through. That says it all. Sri Lanka is magical - Chanuka made it unforgettable. Book him. Trust us.
We had a great experience with BH Lanka touring the south of Sri Lanka over 9 days. Our trip was customized somewhat, and what we experienced was indeed exactly as promised with the quoted iterary. Having a private tour guide allowed us to adapt the trip on certain days, which was great. Excellent service and safe driving from tour guide/chauffeur Suranga, thank you!
Sri Lanka was shown to us in amazing detail by our guide Suranga. He shared spectacular views mixed with historical facts and interesting activities. We had comfortable travel accommodations and were taken to the best views in the country. We highly recommend this tour.
From the beginning to the end of our tour, our guide Sasika looked after us so well. He always arrived on time and never complained if we were late! We felt so safe as he negotiated the Sri Lankan roads! Relaxed enough to fall asleep between destinations! He was flexible If we wanted to change the itinerary, we were lucky enough to be in kandy when England were playing Pakistan and he helped us to book the tickets and took us there and back. He was professional kind and attentive and picked up on our needs, even finding the right shop for items I needed, although, I did have to give up on finding diet coke!
Our tour was everything we thought it would be. BH Lanka is a well organised company who helped us to fine tune our trip based on their own recommended itinerary. We certainly packed a lot into the time available whilst enjoying a rather more relaxed last couple of days. Our driver was very personable and had impressive knowledge about his home country and its history. He certainly knew his way around, where to find available parking and where to stop for comfort breaks. He was skilled at driving the Sri Lankan roads though we did feel that at times he could be a little more cautious. As reasonably fit Seniors, we would advise anybody planning a tour to investigate the sites included before booking. In particular, the climb up Sigirya rock is very challenging - as is the descent. We made it to half way! To a lesser degree the climb up to the Dambulla Cave Temple also taxes the limbs and lungs. If you go, take an extra pair of socks as shoes must be removed prior to entry. None of this really impaired our five star experience- thank you BH Lanka.
It was a very good experience for the last 9 days. We had wonderful time we spend in Srilanka. Tour guide, Anuradha was very helpful all our time in Srilanka. Elephants ride and boat ride was the best time of this trip.
We had a fabulous time with Ravi our amazing tour guide. We felt safe and comfortable and relaxed the entire time as Ravi had all our logistics sorted. He was very professional and kind and catered to anything we asked for. Overall Sri Lanka is a beautiful country and we would love to return.
The tour was a wonderful experience and a good mix of culture, nature and wild life in Yala national park. Good choice of hotels with one exception in Ella. We didn't like much the O2 Ella. The best part of the tour was our guide and driver Janaka. With him we always felt safe and well. He has a good knowledge of history and Sri Lanka culture and traditions. He gave us all kind of interesting facts and information. He was very polite and courteous. Thank you very much for this great tour.
I travelled to Sri Lanka from January 14th to January 21st, and I can confidently say that having Chandima Weerasinghe (Chami) as our guide made the entire trip unforgettable. Chami was an excellent guide, host, and genuinely wonderful human being. He drove both my mother and me all around the country and took incredible care of us every step of the way. Our itinerary included Sigiriya, the Elephant Rehabilitation Center, Kandy, a breathtaking train ride to Ella, the iconic Nine Arches Bridge, Yala safari, Mirissa, Galle, and finally back to Colombo. What really stood out was Chami’s flexibility and thoughtfulness. He was fantastic at explaining the history, culture, and significance of everything we saw, and he was always happy to take us off the regular tourist route to tailor the experience exactly to what we wanted. He even had a catchphrase — “no problem” — which perfectly summed up his attitude. He was always willing to accommodate us everywhere, with no concerns and no hesitation, no problem, always with a smile. My mother requested king coconuts every single day, and Chami made sure we never missed out. He also went above and beyond by helping me find a scuba diving spot, taking us shopping, and accommodating every request without hesitation. Nothing ever felt rushed or transactional — it truly felt like traveling with a local friend who wanted us to experience the very best of Sri Lanka. I have nothing but great things to say about Chami. I would highly recommend him to anyone planning a trip to Sri Lanka. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, kind, flexible, and trustworthy guide, Chami is exactly the person you want by your side.
Wonderful tour, covered as much as possible at a good pace, hotels were all very good, excellent tour guide, Sukun was always willing to help and be flexible with our requirements , gave us many options to choose, will come back again!
We had an amazing tour. Every day was full of adventure, history, culture and amazing natural beauty. Our tour guide Udara was very professional, kind and friendly. He was easy to understand and his knowledge of Sri Lanka was exceptional. He was a great driver and we always felt safe and well looked after. I will definitely recommend him to family and friends. The hotels were in great locations and very clean and the meals included made this tour excellent value. Sri Lanka is beautiful and so are the people we recommend this tour.
BH Lanka Tours is the company which organized our 10 days trip in Sri Lanka and they did a great job! We would like to thank Hiruni Prabani, for the very good organization of our trip, for the great hotels you have picked for us and the driver! We started in Negombo, went to Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, we had a wonderful safari in Minneryia, then we went to Dambulla, Kandy, visit a team factori, but unfortunately we could not go to Nuwara Eliya and Ella, due to the cyclone, but we went to Yalla National Park for another wonderful safari and did whale watching in Mirissa, where we were lucky to see the dolphins, the whales and the turtles. After visiting Galle we ended our trip in Negombo. We were fortunate to have a great driver, Viraj Aravinda, who took great care of us. What a great experience! Thank you Hiruni, Viraj and BH Lanka Tours! We will always remember this trip!
We were incredibly lucky to have Nashanta as our tour guide and driver during our 10-day trip through Sri Lanka, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He was always very helpful, flexible and kind, and he constantly adapted to our needs and wishes. Nashanta’s positive attitude made every day even more enjoyable, and he always made sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of. He is not only an excellent guide and driver, but also a wonderful person to spend time with. Thanks to him, we had an amazing and unforgettable time in Sri Lanka. We can highly recommend Nashanta to anyone visiting the country.
We were very lucky to do a 10-day private tour through Sri Lanka with Nishantha, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. From the very first moment, he was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always in a great mood. He was extremely flexible and adjusted our route and daily plans to our wishes, so we never felt rushed and could truly enjoy every part of the journey. Nishantha not only drove us safely across the country but also shared many interesting insights into Sri Lankan culture, daily life, and the most beautiful places to visit. You could really tell that he genuinely cared about his guests and wanted us to have the best possible experience. Whether it was organization, restaurant recommendations, spontaneous stops, or little extra touches, he always went above and beyond. Thanks to him, my boyfriend and I had an unforgettable time filled with wonderful memories. His positive attitude and his motto “Life is good” perfectly reflected our entire trip. We can wholeheartedly recommend Nishantha as a tour guide and would book a tour with him again anytime.
I did this 10 day tour with my guide Nalin Dissanayake. Not only was he a very knowledgable and humorous guide but also extremely caring - always going the extra mile to provide the best service and experience for me. This tour covers culture with historic sites as well as nature and fun, and shows the very best of Sri Lanka for people on a tight schedule. Highlights are the train journey to Ella and the safari in Yala as well as numerous temples and religious sites and the gorgious nature especially in the highlands. Nalin was the perfect travel companion, very well organised, knowledgable and happy to share his wisdom in great English, but also leaving time for my kwn when neccessary. I am happy I did this tour, as it never felt boring although doing it on my own. Definitely recommend.
A good 10day tour had, hitting all the key scenic tourist spots. Highlights were Lion Rock and the elephants. My driver guide Nishanthra Kumara was passionate, knowledge and caring for all things SL. Hotels were all good and of a western 3star standard (BH say 4). All meals are (bacteria/virus) mostly western buffets (BLD), which let the trip down. Also not mentioned prior when trip planning. They could include more SL cuisine experience by doing lunches at street cafes etc and not hotels. I would say do not start your trip in Negombo, not a great town for first impressions.
This tour was excellent and I thoroughly recommend it. A good mixture of harder days and easier days; beach days and active days; wildlife and temples. The tour offers an insight into Sri Lankan history and culture, and cuisine! I was very fortunate to have Nishantha as guide and driver. He certainly knows his Sri Lankan history and is a safe and reliable driver. He is also very good company.
We had an exceptional experience with our tour guide Udara. From start to finish, he was informative, friendly, and attentive to every detail of our journey from temples, caves, tea, trains and beach bays. He went above and beyond to ensure our safety and comfort, making sure we had everything we needed at all times. He was flexible with the itinerary, adapting it to suit our needs, and was always ready to assist with communication with locals and any problems that may arise. His care and concern were evident in how he ensured we boarded trains and boats safely and smoothly. He also recommended some truly delicious restaurants that we would never have found on our own. We appreciated his openness in answering all our questions and sharing his personal experiences, which added a rich, authentic dimension to our trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would highly recommend Udara to anyone seeking a safe, enjoyable, and insightful travel experience. Thank you!
Ravi, our tour guide was so knowledgeable and we learnt so much about Sri Lanka. Ravi was very well organised and caring. He was flexible and was always on hand if we needed anything. He was a fabulous driver and we felt very safe with him at all times. We had a wonderful tour and loved every moment. Thank you Ravi!!! Suzie (London, UK)
What an amazing trip we had with BH Lanka tours. From start to finish, the guide looked after us so well, and we felt safe at all times. We had a truly authentic experience with many adventures to recall, including visits to a traditional village and tea plantation, the climb of Sigiriya rock, the tasting of Rambutan, Druian and Kottu, the magical train journey to Ella, the visit of Yala National Park and the Dambulla Golden cave temple. We even had a surprise birthday cake organised for us! Lots of nice and kind touches and great explanations about Sri Lankan culture, history and economy. The back office was also always in touch via email during our stay to ensure our great comfort. We would highly recommend BH Lanka tours to all our friends and family as we created unforgettable memories through them.
Unforgettable 10 day tour with BH Tours and our guide/driver Aruna. Aruna was incredible, so professional and flexible to our needs and he seemed magically know all the best places to stop for lunch and Nescafé pick-me-ups. He went above and beyond to help arrange a gem delivery after we made purchases in Kandy. And he even made a special request to add hoppers to one of our buffet meals. The tour itself was a dream - every hotel was better than the last and we fit in so much during our stay! Highlights include: seeing dozens of elephants on safari, climbing Sigiriya rock, village tour with a traditional curry rice lunch, visiting the golden cave temple, watching a traditional dance, and holding one-day old turtles at the hatchery. The tour was flawless and we saw so much more than we would have on our own. Would recommend BH Tours and Aruna to anyone traveling to Sri Lanka!
Our journey to Sri Lanka was memorable thanks to BH Lanka tours and guide Janaka! With his passion towards his job and his country guide Janaka made us feel at home. His sense of humor and hospitality made us enjoy every minute of our journey. I would like to thank BH Lanka tours for the detailed itinerary and organisation. To whoever meets guide Janaka for their Sri Lanka tour, you are lucky!
The tour included a very good selection of all the top attractions to be visited. The tour guide was a real gentleman. He helped us with interesting information about the each location as we arrived and necessary information around the accommodation, meals, customs and culture of the beautiful country of Sri Lanka. It was a very rewarding and interesting experience.
This was an excellent way to see some of the beautiful scenery of Sri Lanka. Everything was well planned and there was a great mix of activities and sightseeing. Kamilas was an excellent guide.
A great holiday spoilt by a few important things that made the tour disappointing. Two days before the tour started, I was informed that I would be a solo traveller. I was told that the other two travellers had pulled out for health reasons. The tour company was very apologetic but that really didn't change the situation. I had been looking forward to some company on this tour after travelling by myself for 2 weeks in Taiwan. Overall, I found the itinerary interesting and comprehensive. However, I felt the day visiting a village, going on a small paddle boat, and bullock-drawn cart ride was a waste of time. Maybe if you have children, they will enjoy the events. Also, there were other days when I felt there had been a lot of driving with little to see or do and early afternoons when the day of touring ended. I found the standard of accommodation variable. In particular, I found three days of accommodation very basic and in out of the way locations. The location of some hotels prevented easy access to the nearby town. Because I was a single traveller and I had to pay the single supplement, I did expect better accommodation. What saved the tour was my driver, Janaka. He was a very good driver. Janaka was very respectful, and he had a good sense of humour. He had a good knowledge of the places we visited and of the history and culture of Sri Lanka. He was always very helpful, and I thank him for his great work and assistance.
A very good experience and we visited all the landmarks of the island! Both safaris were magnificent! Our guide, Janaka was excellent and made our tour so smooth!
We had a fantastic vacation. The communication upfront with BHLanka was perfect. We adjusted our tour with adding some extra relax days and all was organized well. We were a group of 2 families , with children from 12 up to 22 years old. We were welcomed at the airport by Chintaka, our guide for the whole trip, and he organized everything very professionally and perfect! We had one small bus and both the driver and the guide stayed with us the entire 14 days. All was perfectly organized and safe drive. Chintaka adjusted everything according our requests to let us experience the most out of Sri Lanka. The diversity of the program is excellent , culture vs nature. We highly recommend this trip and organisation!
This was our first small group trip and we were so pleased that it exceeded all our expectations. The planning by BH Tours was spot on and as with all holidays was jammed packed. We saw heaps is stunning views, animal galore, lovely beaches, happy friendly people and eat delicious food. The highlight of our trip was definitely by our driver, Sidath, who was fantastic. He went way beyond our expectations, his punctuality, concern for safety, driving skills and his interaction with us all was superb.
Great trip overall. My driver, Jagath, was fantastic. As being 60+ I have been driven around a lot and Jagath was the safest driver I have ever been with. That safety provided me the ease and comfort to enjoy all the views while in transit. Saw some wonderful sites and learned a lot. I would highly recommend.
I would 100% recommend going to Sri Lanka - its a beautiful country offering a great variety for any trip, whether you are looking for a chilled or adventurous time with hiking, beaches, tea plantations, wildlife / safaris, temples & delicious food. The pros & cons of BH Lanka tours based on my 9 day trip (Classic & Cultural Tour) in December - Pros - it's a perfect itinerary for enabling you to see so much in just 9 days and the hotels they have selected are great- attentive & professional service, nice facilities and spacious well appointed rooms. Fair price for this experience if you compare it with other tour companies. Cons - I signed up for a group tour as I was a single traveller. Yet it turned out to be just me on the tour. So it was just me and the driver / tour guide every day in the car and their English was limited. They essentially just drive me from point to point. Sometimes I also felt a bit vulnerable / pressured for money when I was send on individual tours with a stranger (no other tourists in sight) and me. e.g. Spice Route, This tour however is a good option if you want to be on your own or if you book as a couple and you can spend as much time as you like at each of the stops. In retrospect I should have paid the higher price to join a group (e.g. Flashpack or Intrepid) I am however very glad that I got to see Sri Lanka.
Loved this tour. What a wonderful way to experience so many of the highlights Sri Lanka has to offer. I was travelling solo and Janaka my driver and guide was absolutely wonderful. Janaka’s English is very good and he accompanied me to the many museums, temples and tourists spots with me the history, cultural aspects and folklore along the way. He made visiting each place a breeze making sure that I was able to visit each efficiently and without having to negotiate any hustling locals on my own. He made sure I got in the correct train to Ella and arranged a great guide for me when I wanted to do sunrise climb to Ella rock. Definitely do the white water rafting! Yala really was the absolute highlight for me and Janaka made sure to arrange a wonderful safari guide and I was fortunate enough to have spectacular viewing with a leopard. Janaka really made it such a smooth and enjoyable experience all round. The hotels were all comfortable and clean. The itinerary designed to capture a well rounded experience of the major spots. Having your own driver allows to adjust the itinerary to suit your individual desires and I particularly liked this. There was only very good things to say about this tour. It must be noted though that there is a lot of travel in between each location and although this was clearly stated before I booked, I personally would have preferred a little more downtime by the pool at some stops, so if this sounds like you and time allows maybe a longer tour with a little more time at some locations might be worth discussing a more personalised tour with BH Lanka. Overall I had a wonderful time and I’d highly recommend this tour and you should ask for Janaka Jayawardena as your guide.
Rated 5/5. The tour guide/host was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable and familiar with all the places we visited. If we wanted to stop or see anything else it was not a problem.
A great way to see this wonderful country - action packed itinerary, brimming with culture, wildlife and natural beauty. Our guide, Nalin Dissanayake was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and good humoured. The tour was delivered with a smile and plenty of interesting facts. Would highly recommend this tour and Mr Nalin.
This tour was amazing. Def up there with the best holidays I have ever been on. The responsiveness and organisation from BH your side was out of this world and I can’t say enough about Bharti our personal guide’s humour, flexibility and knowledge. He was a joy to be around and we have some great photos and memories and will 100% be recommending him to our friends and family! Xxx
Excellent tour. Every day was well planned and organized. The itinerary was good mix of cultural, historical places and natural adventures. We had very good driver-guide Nalin who has excellent knowledge country history and very nice personality. We were feeling very safe with him in any places. The car (honda hybrid) was very clean and comfortable. The selection of hotels was good. These hotels and resorts are not part of the major hotels chains, but has comfortable clean rooms , restaurants and pools. It was so nice to swim in pool after full day of adventures and after that have setted dinner in hotels. All hotels were provided breakfast and dinner, so you don't need to go to the town, when you are tired. Over all it was a great trip, thanks to BH Lanka tour and personally to Nalin.
If you are thinking of doing a tour in Sri Lanka, we highly recommend BH Lanka Tours/Capital Lanka Tours. The booking process was really easy and we received all the promised docs on time. On arrival, we were greeted promptly by a driver and taken to our hotel and had the first day to settle in and catch up on sleep/jet lag. We booked a group tour but ended up having the tour all to ourselves which was great and allowed for a lot more flexibility and choice. All the activities in our trip were great - we loved how they were a mix of active, adventure and cultural activities. Over the 10 days we did Sigiriya Rock Climb, Village tour, Temples, White Water Rafting, Tea Plantations, Ella Train, Little Adam’s Peak & Nine Arch Bridge, Yala Safari, snorkeling as well as stops along the way at various view points, waterfalls and other sites of interest. The tour was full of activities but we found that every 3rd day or so you finished most activities by mid afternoon and had some nice wind down time to relax or explore. It’s a great tour for anyone that likes to keep active and likes to keep busy, while also having a little time to yourself. We also found the drives each day were also a great time to see the countryside. All the accomodations were fabulous, staff always very attentive and were always there at a drop of a hat. We were super surprised to find dinner was included all but one night at the hotels and every meal was delicious with lots of variety! Stays varied from 4+ star hotels to some more unique stays (we loved Kassapa & Forest Edge as these were secluded, not necessarily 5 star but the staff and experience was fantastic) While the stays and activities were amazing, this tour just wouldn’t have been what it was without our guide, Nalin. We can’t thank him enough for his impeccable hospitality. His attention to detail and service was what made our trip unforgettable. From his extensive knowledge of the country, his local contacts for best experience on activities, taking photos, always checking in to make sure we were happy and even changing activities when he knew there was a better alternative (for example, going out of his way getting us on the earlier train to Ella, which was amazing as our original train ended up breaking down not running!) He was always a friendly warm face every morning and became a great friend of ours. He is the epitome of 5-star service and we don’t know what we would have done without his guidance to make our holiday as perfect as what it was and our only wish is that it lasted longer!
My husband and I took the 10-day tour of Sri Lanka and added 4 days in the Maldives. Without a doubt, this was an excellent tour and we learned so much about Sri Lanka, its culture, traditions, and history and we were very lucky to make new friends along our journey. Upon arrival, our driver/guide, Kamilas Dabarera, met us at the airport in Colombo. We wasted no time in starting our beautiful tour. Sri Lanka is gorgeous from its incredible beaches to its lush green mountains. Kamilas drove us from city to city and showed us so many sites and temples. Every place was breathtaking. One of our favorite experiences was taking a sunrise hot air balloon and seeing the Sri Lankan landscape from above. We absolutely recommend taking a trip to Sri Lanka. We went in mid-November, and it was still pretty hot and humid but well worth it. The Maldives were a complete surprise on how incredibly beautiful the islands and surround waters are. Pictures definitely do not do it justice. We highly recommend the swimming with nurse shark excursion. It will make a memory of a lifetime! Our entire trip was made extremely special by Kamilas. He took great care of us, entertained us with stories, and gave us lessons in the history of Sri Lanka. The most special thing we are taking away from this trip is our new friendship with Kamilas and his family.
I went to Sri Lanka with BHLanka tours and was absolutely amazed with the service, knowledge and care this company provided me with. The guide Buddhika and Hasitha are the best and all accommodations are top notch. I couldn’t ask for a better company to take care of me. Absolutely the highest level of professionalism! I went on a 10-day tour of Sri lanka from 27th Oct with Capital Lanka. I hadn’t been to Sri Lanka before and it’s an amazing place for an adventure to see many different landscapes, natures, and climates. The tour was 8 days of travelling to new destinations each day followed by last 2 days at the beach. It packed lots of different excursions in and was a great introduction to see what Sri Lanka can offer, it was well timed and the 2 days on the beach at the end were great. My highlights were Sigiriya lion's rock, river rafting and Yala safari (we had a great view of a leopard). Tried snorkelling with turtles and surfing at the beach was also great fun. My guide, Ruvin, was great, from the big hug at the start to helping me throughout the tour and being flexible when needed, great guy and good company. I would recommend Sri Lanka and will go back again, the tour was really good as was Ruvin, my one issue was I was the only person on the tour and having some company would’ve been nice. This didn’t get in the way of enjoying the tour and Ruvin was great, but if you’ve after company you’d need to check before booking (I did go in low season). Alternatively, if you wanted a private tour this would be an excellent choice.
Excellent programme, outstanding hotel. Very friendly and helpful guide Jena . The tour would not be the same without our guide. We saw so much wildlife and stayed in the best hotels.
We did a 10 day tour, visiting the main attractions in Sri Lanka, and we had a really great time! Our guide Udara was super friendly and very professional. It was great to recieve his knowledge of this amazing country and its amazing people! He took great care of us, and was able to adapt our tour when the weather did not cooperate. He really helped in making this tour a great experience. We would repeat without any doubt. Thank you for everything!
My husband and I did a 10 day tour of Sri Lanka. Overall our experience with BH Lanka was mixed, but our guide Bhatiya was amazing. Guide: 5/5 stars! Bhatiya was kind, knowledgeable, helpful, put us at ease and always made us feel safe, brought us delicious food his lovely wife made, taught us so much about Sri Lankan history, culture and language, played fun music for us, and we figured out a schedule that worked for us every day! BH Lanka: 3/5 stars. We booked through BH Lanka because we saw great reviews and because they claim “complete price transparency and no hidden charges” and “excellent customer service.” We paid for the tour, the superior room charge, and a festival surcharge. First, there was no festival happening, and it was not until we brought this to their attention that they agreed to refund us the $200 they had kept from us. Secondly, one night, they booked us in a deluxe room, but still charged us an additional $74/night. When we brought up that we weren’t happy with the place, they offered us $20 worth of free admissions, nowhere near the amount we were paying per night. It was only after we looked through the bookings that we realized BH Lanka knowingly booked us in the wrong hotel without communicating with us or offering to refund the additional money we were spending. We had to go through multiple rounds of emailing and pointing out the multiple ways they had overcharged us before we received any refund, which is the last thing you want to be doing on vacation! While we loved our tour guide, we would want to warn others about this experience. If you do decide to book with them, doublecheck everything as they will happily charge you and keep your money for services you never receive.
Very welcoming people! Very beautiful country! Related to accommodation please adjust your expectation by 1 or 1 and a half stars and you will be closer to what you get. Most important person is the tour guide / driver. He will make a real difference as Danushka did for us - a big thank you!
Udara our guide did everything in his ability to ensure we had the best time during our 10 day Grand tour of Sri Lanka .. he was professional courteous ,friendly and a great travelling companion during our transit between destinations: we had a very enjoyable experience and l would highly recommend Udara for a unique cultural tour of this delightful country Sri Lanka.
I realize that we couldn't have choosen a better way to see Sri Lanka. We did the 10 day tour, with our super guide Nishantha. We've seen and done so much; incredibile! The country has so much to offer and I'm sure that this is the best way to discover it. Our guide Nishantha did everything to make us feel relaxed while explaining and showing everything, and also suggesting extra experiences such as 'cookery class'. We loved it all!
We had an amazing time. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country teaming with culture and wildlife. The food was delicious and the locals are so friendly and welcoming! Our guide Udara was fantastic. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and made our trip run smoothly!
