We joined an Ella tour and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. One of the highlights was visiting the famous Nine Arch Bridge and enjoying the beautiful scenery surrounding it. The fresh air, green mountains, and stunning views made the day truly special. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us plenty of time to explore and take photos. Everything was well organized, and the journey was comfortable throughout. This tour is a great way to experience the natural beauty and charm of Ella. Highly recommended

Itinerary
Day 1
1
Your driver meets you inside the arrivals hall with a name board bearing your name, then a twenty-minute run to the hotel — deliberately no long drive on arrival day. Negombo Lagoon has an easy walk past the outrigger canoes and the drying racks as the day's catch comes in. Your driver stays with you throughout
Day 2
2
Five caves cut into a granite overhang: 150 Buddha images and ceilings painted with two millennia of murals. Shoes off at the gate, socks help on hot paving, shoulders and knees covered.
A wood-fire kitchen: clay pots, coconut scraper, five curries and a coconut sambol. You eat what you cook — this is dinner, and good company on your first night inland.
Day 3
3
The 12th-century capital, entered before the heat with a professional site guide. Royal Palace, the Quadrangle, and Gal Vihara — four colossal Buddhas carved from a single granite wall. The toque macaques here have been studied for fifty years.
Herbal oil massage or a full body treatment at a proper clinic, not a spa menu. Female or Male therapist arranged as standard
Day 4
4
First entry at the gate with a site guide. 1,200 steps past the mirror wall and the frescoes to a palace on the summit — about two hours up and down, and blessedly cool at that hour.
A live wax-and-dye demonstration — the cloth is dipped, waxed and dipped again in front of you
Forty to two hundred elephants gather at the tank by dusk. If the herds have moved to Kaudulla that week your driver takes you there instead.
Day 5
5
The relic chamber opens to drumming and horns, with pilgrims carrying lotus buds. Loud, crowded and the most alive place in Kandy. Visited with a site guide who can read the ritual for you
Drums, masks and a fire-walking finish
Day 6
6
A spiralling white tower on a peak above Gampola, with a 360-degree view over the hill country. The last stretch of stair is narrow and open to the drop — worth knowing before you start.
147 acres, a giant bamboo grove, an avenue of royal palms and a colony of flying foxes overhead. Flat, shaded and the easiest walking of the whole trip
Day 7
7
A 109-metre fall right beside the road, worth the twenty-minute stop.
Into the field with the plucking gang, basket strapped on. Two leaves and a bud — they will correct you, kindly, several times. This is a working estate, not a demonstration line.
The red-brick Old Post Office, Victoria Park and a turn around Gregory Lake as the mist comes down.
Day 8
8
Three and a half hours through tea estates, nine tunnels and a run of viaducts, with the hill country falling away below. A reserved seat booked the moment they release, so you have a window rather than a doorway. Your driver takes the car round by road and meets you on the platform.
One long street of cafés and craft shops, busy and well lit. Dinner wherever smells right.
Day 9
9
A famous stone railway bridge in the jungle, built in the colonial era without steel. We time the visit so you can see a train cross.
An easy 45-minute walk up a path to a viewpoint surrounded by tea fields and mountains. Best in the morning before it gets hot.
Day 10
10
An afternoon jeep safari in Yala, known for leopards (sightings not guaranteed). You may also see elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, buffalo, and many peacocks.
Day 11
11
A calm, shallow bay that is good for swimming. Relax on the beach for the afternoon.
A famous viewpoint with palm trees on a cliff over the sea, a short walk from the beach.
Day 12
12
An early boat trip to look for blue whales, sperm whales, and dolphins. We use a licensed operator that keeps a safe distance from the animals.
Walk the old Dutch fort walls, see the lighthouse, and explore streets of colonial houses, cafés, and shops. A UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Learn how turtle eggs are protected and see baby turtles. If the timing is right, you can watch a release at sunset.
See the traditional stilt fishermen at sunset, one of Sri Lanka's most photographed scenes.
Day 13
13
A driving tour of Colombo: Galle Face, the Fort area, Independence Square, the Old Parliament, and the busy streets of Pettah.
A working Buddhist temple beside Beira Lake, with a shrine hall, a Bodhi tree, and a museum of gifts from pilgrims. Please cover shoulders and knees.
End the day on the seafront with local street food like isso wade (prawn fritters) as the sun sets.
Day 14
14
Free morning for shopping or relaxing, then a transfer to the airport (about 45 minutes) with plenty of time for check-in.

Visiting Diyaluma Waterfall was an unforgettable experience and one of the most enjoyable parts of our trip. The waterfall was breathtaking, and the surrounding landscape offered incredible views at every turn. We spent time exploring the area, taking photos, and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Our guide was excellent, sharing useful information and making sure everything went smoothly throughout the journey. The hike was enjoyable, and the natural pools near the waterfall added to the experience. Everything was well organized, safe, and memorable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience the beauty of Sri Lanka’s nature
Our Trincomalee Beach tour was one of the most relaxing experiences we had in Sri Lanka. The soft golden sand, crystal-clear blue water, and peaceful atmosphere made the entire day unforgettable. We spent hours swimming, walking along the shore, and simply enjoying the beautiful ocean views. The beach was clean, well maintained, and never felt overcrowded, which made it even more enjoyable. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming, adding to the wonderful experience. If you are looking for a quiet beach with breathtaking scenery and a refreshing escape from busy city life, I highly recommend this tour. It was truly worth every moment, and I would happily visit again
Our private tour to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic was one of the most meaningful experiences of our Sri Lanka trip. Everything was well organized, and our guide explained the history and cultural importance of the temple in a clear and engaging way. We had enough time to explore, admire the beautiful architecture, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere without feeling rushed. The entire tour was comfortable, professional, and thoughtfully planned. If you want to experience this sacred place with less stress and a more personal touch, I highly recommend this private tour. It was truly unforgettable and worth every moment
Our private Ella Nine Arch tour was one of the most relaxing days of our Sri Lanka trip. The guide never rushed us and knew the perfect spots to enjoy the bridge without feeling crowded. Watching the train appear through the green hills was unforgettable. Every stop was well planned, the vehicle was comfortable, and the whole journey felt smooth from beginning to end. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable Ella experience
We joined a private tour to Sigiriya with our family and had a fantastic experience. The tour was well organized, comfortable, and enjoyable from start to finish. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared many interesting facts about the history of Sigiriya. The climb was rewarding, and the views from the top were absolutely breathtaking. We never felt rushed and had enough time to explore and take photos. Everything was arranged perfectly, making the day stress-free and memorable. Highly recommended for families visiting Sri Lanka
Our experience with Sinhagiri Tours was exceptional - from the first message (via what's app) onwards. They were very responsive to messages and listened to where I did and did not want to go (I had done a lot of research before reaching out yet other operators repeatedly ignored my opinion and pushed where they thought we should go) before creating a fully custom itinerary for my family, with the needs of our 7 year old train obsessed son in mind. They were really helpful and honest with booking train travel in Sri Lanka (advised us to use the official government booking site [which is very easy!] plus let us know which train stations were now open after the flooding) and gave recommendations when requested. Unfortunately, I have been forced to cancel the trip (which should have started next week) because to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East leading to our flights being cancelled by the airline. However, Sinhagiri Tours have been very flexible and understanding in recent days and we are so devastated that we can not take the trip. We will definitely be rebooking with them for March 27.
It’s a very unforgettable trip for me, filled with extraordinary experience of hiking, dolphin and turtle watching as well as leopard and elephant safaris. Lahiru is a wonderful driver, taking me to his family and accompanying me all the way throughout the trip. For Chinese tourists, the advice is that you stay away from too much cold drinks so as not to feel stomach problems. :-)
HIGHLY recommend this tour package!! They are so kind and go above and beyond for the customers. We felt very safe the whole time and saw so many amazing things. The tour company made it so easy to plan and we didn’t have to worry about figuring out how to get around. They also provided a homemade welcome dinner which was so delicious and gave us a gift to remember our time here 🥰 we really loved Sri Lanka thank you to this tour
We inquired about a driver with Sinhagiri tours due to the cyclone and disrupted travel plans as a consequence. This was arguably our best decision of our Sri Lanka trip. They penciled in a 16 day trip with full itineraries of which we could pick and choose to our leisure. We often deviated from our plans on the day and this wasn’t a problem. We had Lahiru as our driver who had experience travelling around Sri Lanka, he knew lots of places to visit in all 8 of our town stops across the country. Lahiru was great for securing us “local prices” on tourist attractions and saving us over 50% on ticket entries. I would seriously recommend Sinhagiri Tours to anyone and ask for Lahiru as the driver! We’ve made a friend for life.
We've had the most amazing trip! Thank you Sinhagiri Tours for arranging and being so attentive to our ideas. We've been very well looked after, especially with the recent floods to ensure our trip went as smoothly as possible. A special shout out to our guide Lahiru, who was so lovely and kind. Thank you so much. We would highly recommend!
Object location 9/10 Nearly all places, but we didn't have enough time and energy Driver 8/10 Driving attitude was nice (sometimes too slow for me 😅), but when we go to mountain area like kandy/ela sometimes we got dizzy Hospitality 9/10 In my opinion i think srilanka people was quite type, we must ask first And they care about privasion, not nosy (kepo in indonesian) Food 6/10 Not a country to go for foodie, but still ok they have pizza hut and kfc in most of town 🤭 Accomodation 7/10 I thought they start tourism too early, so hotel in strategic position was old enough Expense $$$ Quite expensive for asian country, gladly not much to buy here except gems and wood carving, the rest were chinnese product 😅
Our 6-day, 5-night trip to Sri Lanka with Sinhagiri Tours was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Every detail was thoughtfully planned — from the itinerary and accommodations to the smooth transfers between cities. A special mention goes to our driver and guide, Sangeet, who truly made the journey unforgettable. He was punctual, knowledgeable, and always went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. His friendly personality and local insights added so much richness to our experience. We got to see the best of Sri Lanka — from cultural sites to scenic drives and relaxing stays — all without any stress or hassle. I would highly recommend Sinhagiri Tours to anyone visiting Sri Lanka and especially suggest asking for Sangeet if you want a truly memorable trip!
We first booked a safari in Minneriya National Park through Sinhagiri Tours. As we were contacted via WhatsApp before the tour, we booked all transfers and a 5-day round trip through Sinhagiri. It was a fantastic service. Very quick response to all requests. Very nice drivers! I can recommend them 100%. I got several quotes beforehand and the price/performance definitely fit here! Many thanks!
We had a really great trip with Sinhagiri Tours and are super thankful for the experience. Everything was well organized, and it was amazing to just enjoy the journey without any stress or planning on our side — we could really just take it all in and enjoy to the fullest. The hotels were lovely (especially in Ella — the views were incredible!), and our driver was always friendly, on time, and helpful. A few small things could be improved, like clearer info about lunch plans and maybe skipping very touristy spots like Little Adam’s Peak, especially when the hotel views in Ella were even better, Stunning and peaceful. Overall, a wonderful experience with some really thoughtful touches. Thank you, Sinhagiri Tours!
Amazing service by sinhagiri tours. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to visit. It was a good experience.

The views were absolutely breathtaking! Every moment spent there was an unforgettable experience, filled with stunning landscapes and incredible scenery. If you're looking for an amazing getaway, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to experience something truly memorable!
We had an amazing experience during our holiday in Sri Lanka, thanks to our wonderful driver. He planned a fantastic route that allowed us to see the best of the country while ensuring our journey was smooth and enjoyable. His driving was incredibly safe. He was also very flexible, accommodating our requests and adjusting plans to suit our needs. Above all, he was considerate, always making sure we were comfortable and happy. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and driver. Highly recommend!
I recently experienced a multiday tour in Sri Lanka with a private driver and car, and it was truly memorable. Having a dedicated driver made exploring the country so much easier and more enjoyable. The car was comfortable and well-maintained, perfect for the long journeys between destinations. Sri Lanka is breathtaking, with a mix of natural beauty and cultural richness. We visited iconic places like Sigiriya, where the ancient rock fortress left us in awe, and the serene tea plantations in Nuwara Eliya. The pristine beaches in Mirissa and the vibrant streets of Kandy added even more charm to the trip. The driver was not only skilled but also very friendly and knowledgeable. He shared insights about each location, recommended authentic local eateries, and ensured we were comfortable throughout the journey. It felt like having a guide and driver in one, which enhanced the experience significantly. This kind of tour is ideal for anyone looking to explore Sri Lanka without worrying about transportation or navigating unfamiliar roads. It was a hassle-free and enriching experience that I would highly recommend!

Sinhagiri Tours exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend them to anyone seeking a reliable and exceptional safari adventure!
We had an unforgettable holiday in Sri Lanka with Travels with Jerry. We saw so much and expanded our knowledge of a beautiful country thanks to Jerry. There is nothing I would change but if change was required Jerry is open to a flexible itinerary. The experience was relaxed, easy going and stress free, we will definitely be recommending the tours.
I had gone to Sri Lanka for my honeymoon and booked the tour through Sinhagiri Tours. It was wonderful and our driver Mandaara was extremely helpful, knowledgable and punctual of time. I really appreciate the way they designed and curated our trip allowing us to visit our major site in a limited amount of time. Along with the travel they went out of their way to even book our train tickets from Kandy to Ella and organise the safari at Yala. They certainly made our honeymoon memorable with everything taken care of. I would definitely recommend your company to anyone who travels to Sri Lanka.
