I had an absolutely incredible 9-day trip around Sri Lanka, all thanks to our amazing driver! Neel went completely above and beyond. On the first night, he hosted us at his own property and helped arrange some hotels, with the best views! We planned our Sri Lanka holiday directly with Neel Lambert of Sri Shannon tours. We had been recommended Neel by our friends who used them last year for their holiday. Neel has been great from our first contact when arranging our holiday. He was recommended to us by a friend, and it’s the best decision we made with regards to travelling around Sri Lanka. Booked direct with neel just myself and my wife travelling ( he was recommended by our daughter who used him last year ) although we had an itinerary he enhanced it by 100% his knowledge is 2nd to none, taking us on route to places and meeting people who we would never have been able to do on our own. We always felt safe in the knowledge that he was with us, It never felt intrusive having someone else with us & when we did spend time together it was like having a great friend around, ( that is what I would call him now not a driver or guide but a friend ) When we go back and we will he is the first person we will be booking with. But also asking him to sort out our accommodation we had a couple of places that weren’t great that we booked ourselves but he knew of all the good places and can get better deals than we could. It was our first time in Sri Lanka, and in Asia in general, and we couldn’t have wished for anything better ! I have had the best experience using Sri Shannon tours and I would really recommend using them. We were driven to all the best spots with no hassle. I personally lost my iPad and left it in a hotel we stayed in and Neal sorted getting this back to me with no stress added to myself he just got this back to me. We have spent the last night at Neal’s house and Jinoy who works for him (who is also very nice and our friends were very happy with his service) and it has topped off the best trip.

Sri Shannon Tours were amazing ! From the offset, arranging with Neel when I was back in England felt effortless and he got back to me straight away with a full itinerary and was on hand with any general queries I had regarding Sri Lanka . Neel was also great when it came to organising extra transport when we were in Sri Lanka, that was not part of our original itinerary which was a great help!! When we arrived in Sri Lanka we met our driver Jinoy who provided an excellent service from start to finish . Jinoy firstly was great fun and a lovely guy . He was extremely helpful in arranging trips throughout our time in Sri Lanka and went above and beyond to make sure we were having a good time . Every time we wanted to go somewhere he was there instantly and at our service with a smile. My wife and I booked Neel for our honeymoon around Sri Lanka, I can honestly say it was the best decision we have made. He picked us up from the airport with smiles and excitement and took us to Sigiriya after some much needed.homemade coffee at his house with his lovely family and dogs. The driving was very safe and we felt comfortable. We were very tired after the flight but Neel knew when to talk and when to let us snooze/relax. Bottles of water were always provided in every bit of the journey. About 5 days in he needed to attend to a family matter and his very cool colleague; Jinoy stepped in to take over for a few days. Again, superb driving, very very friendly and good fun. Both of them, individually and together were just fantastic, really happy, really friendly and made us feel safe and accomodated all our ideas and requests. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we had a couple of beers with them on two occasions which was a suggestion we made. They also helped contact the hotels to see if we could check in early etc. I was even comfortable and trusted them enough to ask to hold our passports and help us with ATMS and money conversion Neel in particular knows everything, everyone and every road, shortcut and toilet stop, fruit market etc etc. We felt like a family at the end of the journey and we have already told our friends and family who want to visit they must book SriShannon tours. We can really recommend Sri Shannon Tours. Neel is a safe driver and knows a lot about Sri Lanka. He easily adapted to our wishes and has a great sense of humor. He stayed with us for lunch / dinner but just as well let us be when we asked him to do so. He made our holiday in Sri Lanka a truly unforgettable experience. We always felt safe and did not witness any disturbances, not even at the long queues at the patrol stations. In spite of fuel shortage we had no problems as Neel had dealt with the paperwork before our trip. We were always able to get fuel without any delay.

Planned were only 3 days, it became 10 days - via Kandy, Ella, Yala and Mirissa. And it was the best decision!
