Scuba Diving In Naxos By Bluefindivers - Dive In Greece - Amazing Diving Spots

My 13-year old son and I recently enjoyed a Discover Scuba dive with Bluefindivers in Naxos and had an amazing time. It was a first diver for both of us and the dive instructors were very kind, informative and patient. There's a thorough safety briefing to begin and then you head to the water to slowly begin the lesson. My son loved it right away, but I was a little more hesitant and our dive instructor, Dani, was patient, kind and very reassuring. I wouldn't have been able to make the dive without him. Photos and videos provided at the end of the dive. We loved our experience and highly recommend this to anyone who'd like to give scuba diving a try during your stay in Naxos.

Nothing but great things to say about Blue Fin. We had some trouble booking originally through the website, but once we called them Panos was extremely helpful and responded promptly to all questions. We did a Refresh dive session and then a dive by White Island. All of the dive instructors were extremely competent and kind. Thank you to Hannah, Marta and Jero. The dives they took us on were nice for this part of the Med and the team at Blue Fin made the experience. Great people and quality gear for rent. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants to dive in Naxos.

AMAZING! We did our first ocean dive with Bluefin after only diving in lakes. Just amazing. We did two dives. The first was a wreck. Lots of pottery shards underwater. Visibility was amazing. I felt safe and enjoyed seeing the barracuda and lion fish. Lots of other reef fish. Our guides were knowledgeable. The second dive was to Graviera Reef. Lots of neat underwater pass-through spots in reef. Really great second dive! Staff were super helpful and it was a great way to spend the day!! I would highly recommend them for certifications, just starting, or for experienced dives.

Really great experience diving with Blue Fin Divers! They gave a great overview / introduction, ensuing participants are well informed and equipped, and then led a one-on-one diving experience. Very well put together with knowledgeable instructors. Highly recommend!

We carried out a dive review session and one dive as we had not been diving for several years. Niko gave my wife and I a thorough equipment, signaling and procedure review in the shop. This was followed up by a shallow dive where Niko was accompanied by one of his colleagues i.e. two instructors for my wife an I. We carried out the normal safety checks before the dive, and again went through a variety of checks and procedures during the dive, including signals and buoyancy practice etc. The equipment they provided was very good and everything worked perfectly. We would definitely recommend Blue Fin Divers for normal dives excursions and especially when carrying out a refresh course. We then went to Santorini and did a further two dives with the confidence gained with the refresh course. Thanks again to Panos, Niko and the whole team. PS they also sent us some great video and photos of our dive as part of the package.

I received my PADI open water certification through Blue Fin. It was an awesome experience. Luna was my instruction and she was great. Very patient with me and let me do things at my own pace. Can’t recommend them highly enough. THANKS LUNA. I am looking forward to diving in my retirement.

Had a fantastic experience with Blue Fin. They usually only do small groups but as it was September, the group consisted of just my wife and myself. Private tour! I had hoped to dive a shipwreck but due to very high winds during our stay we had to go to a different part of the island. Even so we had 2 nice dives at Black Rock and Trapezaki Reefs. Black rock is a pinnacle that just breaks the surface and Trapezaki is a longer and deeper reef. Huge schools of barracuda and various reef fish, many invertebrates including large numbers of nudibranch. If you have been to the Red Sea or Carribbean, you need to know that the Mediterranean is much more sparse in sea life by comparison. But there is still plenty to see and explore. Divemasters were very knowledgable of both the sea and the island and were very fun to talk to and visit with. Gave some great restaurant recommendations also. Visibility was approximately 60-80ft. Unfortunately the Mediterranean is beginning to suffer the lionfish invasion that has swept the Carribbean. According to our divemasters nothing yet is being done to eradicate them. I could see a market and a need for organized lionfish hunts as they do in the Carribbean. I'd be happy to help! Highly recommended dive shop!

I and my 11 year old son did this a week ago. I can only review it from the perspective of a first timer. It was really awesome. I couldn’t have asked for a better first time experience for both of us. The two of us were assigned a lead instructor and an assistant. The lead instructor went through what the experience would be like and helped us get fitted into our gear. We walked across the street to the beach, walked into the water and had the time of our lives. I saw another 10 to 20 adults in the shop going on dives and everyone seemed happy and serious. My son was the only child there. I highly recommend this for families or first timers, and while I don’t have the background to assess the experience for more seasoned divers it seemed like a really well run organization and all the customers seemed happy.

Best guided dive in Naxos. Panos knows his way around these waters! Ship wrecks from 2000 years ago and the present, WWII Fighter wreck, tunnels, eels, octopus and nudibranch. Whats not to love!?

As our first time scuba diving, this experience was amazing. Tina explained everything so well and was so kind to calm us down when we needed help regulate our breathing. They guided us down underwater and were amazing at every step. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone thinking about trying it out, you will love it. We were blessed to be a group of three and had Tina, Alex, and Ana stay by each of our sides.

The Marianna Wreck is an outstanding experience and I can wholeheartedly recommend doing it with the super professional but approachable Panos and his lovely international team. I booked last minute but no drama whatsoever. Diving kit was very good, including digital air pressure gauge and additional computer rental for just €5. They also lent us torches during the dive to make the most of exploring the wreck via its portholes and machinery area. It is a very safe dive site accessing various deck areas of the ship without penetrating inside the hull. And it is all at no great depth so viz and bottom time are optimal. It was great to receive video and photos by email the same evening as a lasting memory of the dive.

It was my second scuba experience and I really enjoyed it. After a short briefing and explanations to refresh the guidelines, we went to a calm spot for the dive. The staff was very professional and friendly. Had a lot of fun exploring the seabed with the guide pointing at fishes, anemones and small crustaceans. The team were truly amazing and we had such fun. I went with my two daughters, one of whom, took it to it straight away. While the other was somewhat cautious. Panos, ( I hope that was his name) was so patient and made sure we managed to dive. I would definitely recommend and do it again if back in Naxos!

My daughter and I took the Open Water Diving course and had a great experience with just one other person in our group. Cecilia was an excellent instructor. The wetsuits and all equipment really is top of the line. The beautiful beach is an easy, fun and safe place to learn scuba. Panos and his welcoming staff run a first class diving center. Highly recommended.

Great beginner dives for my 10 and 8 year old sons, including underwater photos and videos. I did two dives as an Advanced diver, and Blue Fin provided all equipment, transfers, etc. Very well run and highly recommended!

I went with my teenage daughters who had never been diving (I had only been once, many years ago). The experience from beginning to end was phenomenal. Matt and the dive team explained everything so clearly and made us all feel safe at all times. We had a successful first dive in the reef close to the shore, and were probably under the water for about 45 minutes. Everything was made even better by the kindness and friendliness of everyone and we also have a lot of photos and videos to remember the experience. Now we all want to carry on diving!

Great team @ Blue Fin - everyone from the owner to the office staff to the DM’s and instructors. I had not done any real diving other than a refresher in Hvar for close to a decade and was looking for an easy relaxing dive. We went out to White Island and dropped in. Max depth was ~13 meters and bottom time was 49 minutes. A wonderful reintroduction to diving for me. Ευχαριστώ!

THIS WAS SO FUN. i’ve been wanting to scuba dive for years now and this met all my expectations. i was nervous because ive always had a lot of trouble with my ears (on planes, etc) and i knew they would hurt when we dove. but the instructors were very patient and had techniques that helped!! the dive was so beautiful and they took photos for us. really really amazing experience - i can’t stop thinking about it. i had so much fun

Great and amazing experience. We had two realy fascinating dives with Blue Fin Divers. The location is beautiful with very clear blue water and lots of sea life. The instructors are very friendly and competent and made sure that we felt absolutely safe all the time. Highly recommendable!

We booked this back in January. The people here are simply outstanding! Can't say enough nice things about them. They were very nice and patient with us. We have scuba dived before but it has been a while. They were right there with us during the entire dive. 2 of them came per each of us. Maybe because they weren't too busy? Maybe to make sure everything went as planned? Dunno but don't care. They were there which is more than I can say for the times we did this in Mexico. They had a gopro camera and took many pictures for us and sent them via email to us for free afterwards which again, doesn't happen often from our experience. They have a small restaurant right next door by the same name. We ate and drank there afterwards. Quite good and decent prices. Visited with my daughter and very nervous wife. The instructors took so much care with my wife to ensure she had a safe and enjoyable first dive. Lovely clear water and plenty of marine life. Highly recommended.

Booking on-line and via email from home was easy, and the pricing for the dive very competitive. My wife was offered a refresher course before our dive because she had no recent dives in her log - safety first - and in the end, in the interest of time she was given the opportunity to do a snorkel dive with dive instructor while I was joining the wreck dive group. Excellent dive briefing. The Marianna wreck was awesome, and we had 100’+ visibility. Bonus: before the end of day we were emailed a zip file with wonderful pics and videos of our dive, compliments of Blue Fin Divers! Heads up: The dive shop is located in Agia Anna, about 20 minutes south of Chora; we were picked up at pur hotel free of charge, but had to get back on our own (no surprise, we were informed of this at time of booking) but with buses every 2 hours only we were left with the option to walk back (2 hours) or get a cab (20€)… Thank you Hugo, Dimitri & Sam for a memorable diving experience!

We loved everything about our experience with Blue Fin Divers. The whole team was friendly and knowledgable to two Americans who had never been diving before. We felt comfortable in the water the whole time we were there. They got SO many cool pictures and videos which they sent to us immediately once we were done, and free of charge! We even forgot a towel and they had one there for us to use. To set expectations, it's not like you're scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef- but there were definitely some cool fish and things to see. If you're looking for a fun way to spend a few hours the next time you're in Naxos, definitely check them out!

Our family are holiday swimmers only and so were reluctant to take part previously. We signed up with Panos and his team and had an unbelievably good experience. Soto our trainer did an hour of instruction with us , he's a great character and good fun with excellent English and an top class communicator which builds confidence. A short exam followed which is reassuring and then we proceeded to the water for a testingbof our skills. Soto was joined by Georgina, another super dive coach, in the water. We were assured that Soto would lead the 4 of us and Georgina would be behind us. Getting going on the dive took patience and skill by Soto and Gerrgina as a few of us struggled to get the breathing right and they were superb as the worked with each of us and finally we were all safely assembled underwater. We spent an hour experiencing the underwater world and nowhere a great new activity for future holidays. Soto and Georgina also took many pics as we travelled underwater and provided them to us for €12 which is very good Thank you to all at Blue Fin. Brian and family.

Fantastic first diving experience. The team are extremely knowledgeable, professional and welcoming. We are a family of four (kids aged 11 and 14) who have never dived before. We took the discover scuba diving session which consisted of a thorough verbal instruction, skills practice in the shallow sea and then swimming / diving out to deeper water. We had three guides with us at all times - and an extra one came along at the start because I (46 year old, risk averse Mum) was a bit nervous. It was great to have such individual attention and ensured that we all felt safe and free to enjoy the dive. Saw loads of fish and a turtle. Nacho and all of the team were great and incredibly helpful and kind. Thank you so much! We also thought the discover scuba experience was excellent value for money given the experience, and the number of people around to guide us.

This was the HIGHLIGHT of our family's 16 day experience in Greece. Two inexperienced, slightly nervous, 30+ parents and one very enthusiastic teen boy. We felt extremely well educated and comfortable after our very thorough and well presented predive information session. Hugo and Soto were perfect! Everyone there took great care to ease our concerns without brushing them off. And the dive was PERFECTION! It felt just long enough to really get the hang of it and also not so long that we were tired - although it was so beautiful and effortless, we would have stayed out there all day. There was one instance in which one person needed to come up briefly for air- having two people exclusively with our tiny family allowed us to not have to worry and that person was able to clear their mask and immediately rejoin without any hassle or concerns. Hugo led us all and took the most stunning photos the entire time, while Soto stayed behind us to monitor everyone's buoyancy and help with anything unexpected. Wonderful system that allowed each of us to relax and not worry about each other! We stopped and fed the fish bread and it felt like being inside of an aquarium! After the dive we were sent a huge file of photos and videos that I was unable to download while on vacation. When we got back the link expired and the company immediately resent a new one and checked to make sure I received it. The outstanding customer service continued even when there was nothing in it for them! If you ever have the opportunity to dive with this group, go for it! If I could give them 10 stars I would! My family and I have had the pleasure of diving with Blue Fin Divers in Greece, and the experience has been extraordinary. Several years ago, my husband and eldest son obtained their diving certifications with Blue Fin Divers and had the opportunity this year to explore the fascinating Marianna shipwreck, which was both thrilling and enjoyable! This year, my youngest son and I earned our diving certifications with them and had the incredible chance to join the whole family on a boat dive for certified divers at Calypso Reef, an absolutely stunning dive site. Throughout our journey, we have been fortunate to encounter an astonishing array of marine life, from octopuses and schools of barracudas to seastars, urchins, and the mesmerizing pink flabellina. We also saw a big sea turtle from the boat on our way to the White Island Reef! The underwater world that Blue Fin Divers has introduced us to is filled with diverse and vibrant marine creatures, as well as sunken ships that add an extra touch of intrigue to our dives. The staff at Blue Fin Divers are simply wonderful. They exude professionalism while also being incredibly fun and approachable. Their expertise and knowledge make every dive feel safe and enjoyable. I've always felt reassured diving with them, knowing that we are in capable hands. Our daughter did the Padi open water diver course this year. It was a wonderful experience, very nice instructors, relaxed atmosphere and very good organization and communication! The team is nice and professional, many languages possible. We come back for sure! Thank you 😊

Took my kids for a Discover Scuba session. I have dived 15-20 times before but 20 years ago. Really well run. Good simple instruction that covered everything. Good practice in the shallows including safety drills and then a 45 minute beach dive to about 5-7m depth. We were 4 in total and my kids are 16, 14 and 12 and they had 3 dive instructors diving with us to ensure we were safe at all times. I felt really confident they were set up for all eventualities. Kids loved it. Would have no hesitation in recommending.

We did two dives, Mariana shipwreck and Calypso. We loved both dives. The center is very professional, well organised and very nice equipment. We dive as a family with our 17 daughter. We would like to say thank you to James our dive leader and Ted who helped so much. We had a great day. Thanks to the whole team

Our daughter was certified there, a friend, two - we even came back to join Panis, James and crew for another holiday-diving! The crew was very nice, the spots where great, the equipment was new and of good quality, the dives worth every Euro - very close to perfect!

I took my two daughters (16 and 17) on the intro to SCUBA session. It was fantastic. Panos and Soto (names possibly wrong) were wonderful. We learned and were safe but mostly had fun. If we had the time we would have returned for a PADI certification. The experience was so good we will pursue certification back in the USA. THANK YOU Blue Fin from Gene, Arwen and Olivia.

This was an outstanding experience. We were nervous at first cause it’s our first time, but the safety lesson eased our mind and we were beyond excited! The experience itself was phenomenal- so many fish and cool pictures!! 100/10 would recommend and do it again!!

An amazing first time diving experience for our group of four teenagers, a 12 year old and a parent. Could not have been more patient and professional, safety and fun was paramount, and the one-to-one attention so reassuring. The photos taken of the whole experience by the diving team were an incredible memento.

I did the discover scuba course and it couldn’t have been any better!! Panos and the rest of the team were so kind and friendly :) He explained everything clearly at each stage and always made sure I was ok and comfortable. This was my first time scuba diving and it was amazing !! I saw lots of fish, and eel and an octopus!! After the dive I spent the day relaxing on the luxury lounge chairs that blue fin have on the beach and had some drinks from theirs restaurant. There was lots of good drinks and food to choice from. The team even sorted me a taxi to get back safely to my hotel :) Overall, an amazing experience made even better by the kind team at blue fin, I can’t thank them enough <3

Haven't dive for a long while since Covid, decided to do a fun dive in Naxos. Contacted Blue fin, Panos (The DM) suggested i should do a refresher before a fun dive. Its refresh my memory alot. Panos is professional, he spoke and explained everything clearly and steps by steps. The fun dive was great. Very nice underwater landscape. Great experience to dive in Naxos

We had an absolutely fantastic time with Blue Fin Divers when we went for two dives with them. The shop is run by the Panos and James who are extremely knowledgeable about diving and very helpful throughout! Having my first experience diving being with Blue Fin Divers was ideal with the great team. Dimitrios and Nanou who took us on the introductory dive off the beach of Agios Prokopios were fantastic. Nanou made sure to clearly explain all the basics for the introductory dive, walked us through the exercises we would be doing in the water before starting the dive and just was an amazing dive instructor! She really made us feel comfortable with the whole process and took care of us during the dive, making sure we were comfortable (physically & mentally) throughout! On the dive to Calypso (an ancient shipwreck site with tons of pottery on the seafloor and lots of cool marine life, I saw 1000s of barracuda just swimming in this amazing dive!) with James and Dimitrios, James explained everything we would be doing for the dive, how to go into the water and laid out exactly how we would proceed around the dive site. Dimitrios was amazing and stayed with me the entire way down for that dive, making sure to keep me safe and comfortable and guide me around the dive site! We couldn't have asked for a better first experience diving, and that's all thanks to Blue Fin! Also, they are fully qualified PADI instructors so if you want to get your PADI certification they are also qualified to train you and get you that certification and show you the amazing dives around Naxos! Thank you again to Nanou, Dimitrios, James, and Panos for the best experience we had on Naxos!! We'll see you soon for more dives next season!

Had a great time diving with the guys from Blue Fin. I completed my Advanced Open Water and got to dive on some amazing sites around Naxos. My 8 year old son had his first dives at Blue Fin and loved SCUBA, he is now hooked on diving. The staff are very experienced and a lot of fun. The beach in front of the dive centre is a great place to relax and a enjoy a cocktail post dive and the attached restaurant serves some lovely dishes. I can't recommend this place enough and will definitely be back.

We had an amazing time doing our first ever scuba dive with blue fin. Our instructor Dimitri was very attentive and thorough and made our experience all the better!

We had the chance to have our first dive with Blue Fin and we couldn’t be happier! Demetris was our dive instructor and he’s been doing this for years and is extremely experienced! We felt very comfortable throughout and he explained everything really well! We spotted two octopuses and lots of fishes! The place is run by Parnos and James, who are both really nice! I spent some time with Parnos over a few beers and he’s a genuinely amazing person! Really sweet and caring! The rest of the staff is sweet too! If you get the opportunity to dive in Naxos with Blue Fin, don’t hesitate and go right ahead! You’re gonna have a great time and you’ll be in good hands!
