Sandy Toes Rose Island Full Day: Swimming Pigs, Lunch & Open Bar

The highlight of our Bahamas trip! Thank you Cody and team for making it an amazing experience for us, we upgraded from a half day to a full day as we loved it!

We had a wonderful day and participated in all the activities. The snorkeling was wonderful and calm, the pigs are absolutely adorable! All the staff were very friendly and the trainers super knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this excursion.

This trip was the best part of our vacation! My family had a great day snorkeling and enjoyed the interaction with the pigs. Good lunch and open bar! The staff was super nice and made it very fun. The island itself was like paradise- complete with hammocks! Highly recommend.

Was the highlight of our trip. Everyone was so nice and helpful and seeing the animals was lots of fun.

Simply Amazing. One small note, we did get lucky bc it was the off season so it was a very small group. That said, every staff member there was wonderful. They were having fun and really helpful. I was very nervous about my seven year old daughter being afraid to snorkel, but the team at ST was so great and comforting, they helped her right along. I wish I remembered everyone's names so I could be specific, but genuinely, they were all great. We had a private beach, hilarious time with the adorable pigs, a mini snorkeling adventure and a delicious lunch with postcard views the entire time.

The sandy toes rose island tour was very well organized. The tour guides were very friendly and funny without being over the top. We did snorkeling, swimming with the pigs and enjoyed the beach. You could tell they really cared about the animals they took care of on the island.

Whilst visiting the Bahamas for the first time, I was desperate to experience the famous swimming with the pigs — something that had always been on my bucket list. However, I hadn’t realised quite how far away ‘Pig Island’ was! After reading through reviews, I found that Sandy Toes came highly recommended and offered a much shorter boat ride, so I decided to book. From start to finish, the day was absolutely fantastic and an experience I’ll remember forever. The team were incredibly friendly, helpful and supportive throughout. I was particularly impressed with the safety measures they had in place, both on the boat and during the snorkelling trip, which made everyone feel comfortable and well looked after. The island itself was absolutely beautiful, and having our own private area away from the crowds of some of the other tours made the experience feel really special and exclusive. The whole day was very well planned and flowed seamlessly, whilst still giving us plenty of time to relax and enjoy the island at our own pace. It was also lovely to see how well looked after the animals appeared to be. The staff were attentive to the pigs’ wellbeing, even applying suncream to them and making sure they weren’t left out in the sun for too long. Overall, I couldn’t recommend Sandy Toes enough. Swimming with the pigs was a bucket-list experience for me, and they made the entire day even better than I could have hoped for. A truly unforgettable experience!

My girlfriend and I booked this last second (2 days before) on our Bahamas vacation, not knowing what to expect. Let me just say wow! The whole experience was awesome, fun, and worth every penny. The crew was welcoming, funny, and very caring about safety. We did the whole day trip, and it was worth it. The pigs were fun to play with, but the beach itself was calm and relaxing. Very warm waters with small fish everywhere. We were two of 30ish people that went, so it was very easy to relax and be on your own. Overall, we would definitely book this again if we come back to Nassau in the future!

This excursion was amazing. From the boat ride, the food, the drinks, the island, everyone was beautiful and friendly. Swimming with the pigs was a great experience. I would gladly do it again. So worth the price.

This is simply the best excursion I've bene on with my family for years!! The island is a paradise, the staff are brilliant, the food surprisingly good, the pigs are playful and well trained. It might look expensive when you buy the ticket, but it was well worth the expense. We stayed for the full day trip. The amount of people on the tours was perfectly judged so it did not feel crowded.

Such an amazing experience and an absolute must-do when visiting the Bahamas! Just a short boat ride from Paradise Island takes you to a beautiful private island with crystal-clear turquoise water and some of the softest white sand you’ll ever experience. The excursion includes snorkeling with sea turtles and colorful tropical fish, swimming and interacting with the famous pigs, a delicious BBQ lunch, and plenty of time to relax on the pristine beach. Just don’t forget to bring a beach towel! This was one of the highlights of our trip, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nassau or Paradise Island.

This was such a fun experience!!! Everyone we met who worked here was extremely kind and friendly! The pigs were so adorable and the beach was just breathtaking. All service was absolutely outstanding!

We snorkled, enjoyed the beautiful beach, had plenty of time with the sweet pigs and had a great lunch! We’ve done a lot this trip…this by far was the best bang for the money!

Sandy Toes at Rose Island truly is amazing. It was just a short boat ride of about 25 minutes. The moment you step off the boat, the staff is so welcoming. The island is beautiful and everything was organized. Drinks were good and so was the food. We snorkled with our own gear. The pigs were super cute. This was our first time booking and definitely won’t be our last.

This excursion was better than I expected. The pigs were very well trained and the food was great! There were a lot of shady spots to get relief from the sun. The staff was also very friendly and helpful! We came with a 1 year old and there was plenty for her to do too!

What a gorgeous beach. Comfortable space to walk and lounge. Hydro lounge trampoline in the water. Kayaks and floats available if you want. Hammocks spread all over the property. Lunch was great, drinks were even better. Friendly staff. The swimming pigs stole the show. They were much larger than expected and just the cutest. Would definitely recommend booking this!

Absolutely superb! Well worth the price! We booked the snorkelling and the premium drinks and it was worth every penny! People saying it’s expensive need to remember that this excursion includes all your food and drinks for the day, the transport and all the experiences! The limited spaces make the island so much more peaceful too. I’m terrified of boats and the staff made me feel so relaxed, such a chill vibe about them, we all had a good laugh together. When you get there the pigs will greet you, a moment I’ll never forget! Pig encounters are every 30 minutes so you get plenty of time with them! We also rather enjoyed feeding the chickens, baby chicks, peacocks and goats. The bbq buffet really exceeded my expectations! I’m a very fussy eater so I was initially concerned. I needn’t have been! We tried everything and it was all incredible! The pasta salad in particular was so good! We even went up for seconds! There’s showers available too so you’ll have time to rinse off and change before hopping back on the boat. By far my fave day of our trip so far!

It is expensive, but it's worth every penny! This is the best excursion. So well organized and all of the staff are exceptional. You can tell they all love their jobs! The pigs were adorable and we got to swim with them and feed them 4 times!!! Highly recommend!

Lunch and staff were great. Snorkeling off the beach was terrible hardly saw anything. Was under the impression that you could snorkel on your own for however long we were on the island but that wasn’t so. Definitely not a place if you have any walking issues as it is uneven terrain and a lot of stairs. Not really worth the money I felt.

What a great time! Snorkeling seeing amazing marine life even a sea turtle! There were peacocks and other unique birds on island to see. The pigs were amazing and seemed so happy! So many fun names and the staff were fabulous and obviously love their jobs

Great and friendly staff, they couldn't have treated us better. Couldn't recommend this trip more. Watching my friend fall off a pig was the highlight of our Bahamas trip lol.

Oh my lord. This day trip to Rose Island was incredible. The team are so lovely. You genuinely feel like they care about you and want to be your friend. Definitely worth the price! & yes the pigs are amazing.

Truly fabulous. We did an excursion to see the pigs earlier in the week with a differebt company. This trip was in a different league. Absolutely amazing.

Staff is amazing. The best customer service I’ve seen since being in the island. Highly recommend. Drinks kept flowing and the lunch was great.

A great experience, and would highly recommend it. We did the full-day tour, and are so glad - we had more time on the island, so were able to interact with the animals and birds, relax on the beach, enjoy the facilities, and not feel rushed. Bonus - half the guests on our boat left earlier, which meant we got more time with the pigs, with less people. The island is beautiful - amazing beach, good facilities, good food and drink. Staff are amazing - really friendly, helpful and professional. They clearly enjoy what they do, and the animals and birds seem to be genuinely happy, and are well looked after. Special shout out to the restaurant staff, who ensured that my serious allergies were taken care of - going above and beyond - cooking chicken separately to make sure it was safe, and checking in with us, to make sure everything was good. We had credit card issues, which caused extra work for the Sandy Toes staff, and they were amazing - very willing to help us out, and ensured that we were able to get our reservation booked, and enjoy our day. The boat to the island was clean, staff were friendly, and we left on-schedule. So pleased we chose Rose Island instead of Exuma - a 30 minute boat ride in choppy water was a much better than a 2+ hours trip!

This was the best part of our trip! The snorkeling was amazing we saw lots of fish a turtle and we felt very safe. The beach and pigs were so fun, all the staff is great, warm and attentive.

Absolutely worth the price. Best experience ever!! Amazing food, amazing drinks, friendliest staff, and island to ourselves. Couldn’t ask for a better day. Definitely do the 6 hour tour because you won’t want to leave.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. It was billed as a 6 hour trip, and initially we were a little skeptical at the length, but the time was well-balanced between boat rides, animal interactions, lunch, and beach time. 6 hours turned out to be the perfect duration. The pigs were super-entertaining, and all attendees seemed to really enjoy themselves. My only caution to future travelers is that after spending time with these wonderful animals, you may feel a strong desire to stop consuming pork products.

The experience was great. They did an amazing job taking the pigs in and out and you can tell they are very well trained and cared for. It was not gross!!! Having a limited number of people made the beach time nice and peaceful. Everyone there was welcoming and we enjoyed talking and joking around. Lynch was good and you get a very good size portion and can even go get seconds if you want, you won’t be leaving hungry for sure!

Initially we were really reticent in choosing this experience over others but having read the amazing reviews, we decided to give it a go. It was really warm so we decided to choose the premium drink package which includes frozen cocktails and it was worth it - the mixologists behind the bar were super friendly and willing to make drinks that were even off the menu! Heads up: the cocktails are quite strong (and delicious)! There are plenty of opportunities to interact with the pigs and seeing the peacocks and chickens (with chicks) was also amazing. I got to pet and feed the goats and try the hammocks. The beach is beautiful and there's plenty of space. The day was over before I knew it as there was so much to do and see. The staff was really friendly and the facilities very clean and comfortable. The only suggestions I have for the Sandy Toes management: - consider making people pay for a deposit on a reusable glass for their drinks which will reduce the plastic impact on the single use plastic cups currently used. It good be a good quality one that keeps the drinks cooler for longer and the deposit is returned at the end when the cup is returned to the bar staff for cleaning. - consider making smaller groups for the snorkeling experience. It felt very crowded so less enjoyable - it'd be great to have a veggie option for lunch. There are great a d easy bbq tofu recipes that would go great with the rice/pasta for the ones of us who don't have beef/chicken. 100% recommend this experience!

We had a great trip to Rose Island with our kids (10 and 7). The transportation from our hotel was punctual and comfortable, though the ride was longer than I expected. Once we arrived we checked in and boarded the boat for the ~30 minute ride to the island. It was a beautiful day and the ride was calm. When we arrived there were pigs waiting for us on the dock (waving!). Snorkeling was the first activity - gear was provided and we were able to wade into the water from the dock. It was a short 30 minute snorkeling tour but we got to see lots of coral, a sea turtle, lots of fish and starfish - including getting to hold a starfish. After snorkeling we walked down to the beach and really the rest of the day was unstructured and relaxing. There is a full bar, shaded areas with couches, hammocks, etc. The pigs were brought out for periods of time and splashed in the water. Our kids had a chance to feed the pigs, swim with them, even race then I to the water. Lots of posed photo ops too. The beach was gorgeous, and waves were calm. There was a water trampoline for the kids too. Lunch included grilled chicken, salad, rice, bread and lemonade and there was a shaded picnic area to eat. All in all a great experience with well cared for pigs (not wild), that the kids and adults all enjoyed

Had a lovely day out - boat ride just long enough. The island is beautiful, staff all very friendly. The beach area was especially great and really enjoyed seeing the swimming pigs. All seemed very healthy and happy. Lunch was delicious.

I had high expectations because I have wanted to do this for decades. I brought my husband and two friends with me and all four of us had a blast! Rose Island is only half an hour away from the marina at Paradise Island, so it is very easy to get to. We did the snorkel trip at the beginning of the day and enjoyed it, but the pace was quicker that we were expecting. The day is well organized, with the pigs coming onto the beach several times to interact with the crowd. The trainers are obviously very attached to the pigs and the pigs are obviously very well cared for. Every employee we came in contact with was friendly, knowledgeable, and upbeat. The lunch was generous and filling. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Worth every penny, you have the island to yourselves and piggy interaction every 30 minutes. Cocktails at the bar were really good and a great little gift shop on the island too. Very well organised excursion.

What an experience. Brought by boat to a private island where there is tons of activities to do. Wife and I went and have booked another trip with our son.

We had high expectations and they were exceeded. Everything is well organised from checking in, boarding and crossing to the island. We chose not to snorkel but the guys who did said it was amazing and well worth the trip out. The island is nicely laid out and we were kept entertained by the animal interactions, eating, drinking and enjoying the beach. All the animals are well cared for are allowed to opt out of interacting with visitors if and when they so desire. Every member of staff was a joy, so enthusiastic, friendly and focused on the welfare of the animals. The lunch was basic but nonetheless excellent and well organised. The day went so quickly leaving us with some fabulous photos and even better memories. I was half minded to revisit again before our return home. If you do nothing else whilst in the Bahamas this is a must do trip!!

Sorry folks. Save your money. We had bad weather. Cold. Windy. The beach is useless. The pigs were nice but really they only pay attention to the staff. Lunch was good. But by that point it started to rain and everyone just felt like hostages until the boat came back.

My mom and I spent the day with Sandy Toes and had a blast! The initial snorkeling wasn't great, but it was windy. However, the lunch was better than most of the tours I've been on, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable - and the piggies were so cute :-) It was the highlight of my trip!

We booked this trip prior to our departure from the UK based on the good reviews we had read. We selected the full day and opted for the return shuttle from our hotel and also upgraded to the premium drinks package. The shuttle bus colelcted us on time and check in at the port was quick and easy. The boat trip to Rose island was fun, good music, lively, great views. As we arrived at the little port on Rose Island we were greeted by some of the island pigs waiting with us with some if the staff, a fantastic greeting. Once on Rose Island you are free to do as you please, snorkel, sunbathe, beach bar, meet the animals & swim. We were just amazed by it all. The staff were absolutely fantastic and a credit to Sandy Toes. There were no queues for anything. The island itself is beautiful. It wouldve been nice if they had offered the snorkelling again in the afternoon as there was only one opportunity to do this and that was immediately upon arriving at Rose Island. Our advice is to do the full day like we did, yes a little but more in cost but absolutely worth it. Thank you again to all the fantastic staff at Sandy Toes for making our day so memorable.....and a super special thank you to all the pigs, you were the best.

We highly recommend folks spend their tourism dollars with Sandy Toes! The entire staff is friendly and professional! They take extra precaution while snorkeling that I’ve never experienced anywhere else we’ve gone. It’s a beautiful, well maintained property!
