Rum Tasting And Food Walking Tour In Nassau Bahamas

Our guide, Fox, was excellent! He was knowledgeable and fun. The drinks were generous. The food samples were only provided at only 2 stops.

Jason was our guide and he did an amazing job. We learned so much from him not only about the rum but also about the culture and history of the island. Strongly recommend.

We had a great time on this tour, our guide Jason was funny and knowledgeable. It was a great way to see the area, learn some history and have fun tasting different runs!

Our tour guide was Shaad. He made the tour come to life with his amazing story telling of the history and the culture. He took the time to get to know us individually, went to a couple of spots (distillery, market, wine tasting, speakeasy), and made sure he made the most of it. I would recommend taking a taxi/shuttle of some sort bc the walk was about 20 minutes in the heat. Other than that, would recommend for couples or friends or family. I wouldn’t take kids due to it being a lot of walking.

Jason was so knowledgeable and engaging! You could tell he was passionate about what he does and we were so happy to have him as our guide. We so thoroughly enjoyed this tour, learned so much about the history of the Bahamas, and met a great couple who we plan on keeping in touch with. Don’t think twice - take this tour! You won’t regret it!

Magnificent island history and context really adds to the experience. Rum is great, particularly the flight and mixed drink at the end. Beautiful tour.

This was a fantastic afternoon with tour guide Jason (not Jayson!). He told us fascinating stories from history and really personalized the whole experience. There were only three people on the tour. We enjoyed seeing the rum factory and then tasted moonshine and wine, and ended up at a speakeasy for rum tasting. There was tasty food at the beginning of the tour but I'd suggest eating before you go because the alcohol was substantial. Really was one of the best tours I've been on.

Jason was an amazing tour guide! The route was carefully planned and filled with fun activities, interesting information, and surprises along the way. He was incredibly knowledgeable, animated, and passionate, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I especially appreciated how accommodating he was to an older member of our family, ensuring they were comfortable and still able to fully enjoy the experience. Being mixologists for the a part of the session was definitely a highlight, and I won’t spoil the ending, but the final secret spot is truly a hidden gem! Shad was our tour guide and he was perfect to guide us through the Island of Bahamas. He definitely respected me and my friends preferences for likes and accommodations. He was super funny and kept the tour entertaining. Although it rained, we managed to still have a good time. I would definitely say I wouldn't have picked a better tour guide.

The rum tasting tour was an amazing experience and a great value for the price! We learned a lot about the history and process of rum-making, and the tour was both informative and fun. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable. There was more than enough rum to taste, and every sample was enjoyable. The experience was relaxed, entertaining, and definitely worth it. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys rum or simply wants to try something fun and different!

Shad was amazing, he made the history of the island fun yet informative! The tastings were great and the snacks were good too. The visit at the end to The Lucerne was the best part, they did a fantastic job and we will go back for sure!

Whoever blessed Shad with the opportunity to host the walking tour has to be acknowledged properly. Shad, with his hair beads and his main character energy, made our tour so memorable! He was a charismatic and great entity worthy of explaining the richness of Bahamian history and culture while being very accommodating to our group of 5. He was patient with any of our questions and did not hesitate to give the real spill! We thank you for the delicious food we ate, the tasty beverages we sampled, and the fun mixology bit never disappoints! My man absolutely loved that the drinks kept rolling, so I recommend to book this tour if you like to taste alcohol frequently. We will be visiting again!

Our tour guide was running about 10 minutes late. Received a message from the tour site about 30 minutes before the start of the tour informing us, which was great because we were unsure if we were in the correct spot. Even though we started 12 minutes later than expected, it was totally worth the wait. Our tour guide Fox was awesome. He was incredibly charismatic and brought a lot of fun energy. This helped loosen up our group and made for an amazing experience. The drinks were very delicious and could sneak up on you. The food was delicious but very small sample size. We loved the chicken and the conch fritters, just which there was 1 or 2 more things with them. Helpful tips to keep in mind: 1 - Make sure to eat breakfast. Lots of delicious drinks but the food on the tour is just a sample size. 2 - Tennis shoes are a must. This is a walking tour and the terrain isn't the smoothest at times.

This tour is a MUST!! We will definitely do this one again! Our tour guide, Jason, was the best. If you’re hesitating to book, DONT! This was definitely our favorite part of the trip.

Shad is THE BEST tour guide you could ask for. He is knowledgeable, friendly and hilarious. My group was running late from a previous excursion, and he waited for us so we could still enjoy the tour. We showed up stressed out and sweaty, and he made sure to get a drink in our hands stat. We learned so much about Bahamian culture and history from him, all while enjoying delicious drinks and seeing gorgeous sights. He gave us the full experience. We highly recommend this excursion and can’t thank Shad enough for his patience and kindness.

Ok, to me.....this is a must do. Great walking tour. Cody provided a fun & educational atmosphere. Even if you don't care for rum (I assure you there will be drinks that are amazing for anyone), go learn about the culture and history of The Bahamas.....very cool. You'll also end up meeting Mikey towards the end....you'll understand why the most fun is towards the end of the tour. This one is worth every penny! Highly highly recommend! I would suggest good shoes and bring a water bottle. They do serve water, but its hot in the Bahamas...go figure!

We LOVED this tour. I accidentally booked this one thinking it was the regular John Waitlings tour but it was a different one that included food and a stop by the winery and a secret speakeasy. Shad was super entertaining and my friends loved him. I would highly recommend this tour, it is well worth it!

Our guide (Cody) was incredibly knowledgeable and we learnt a lot not just about rum but about the history of the Bahamas as a whole! As a Bahamian-American who’s spent a lot of time in the Bahamas visiting family but hasn’t spent much time studying the country’s history, I was very happy to learn / have our questions answered so thoroughly and I would recommend this tour to both first-time and return visitors alike. You’ll have most of your drinks / complete the actual rum flight tasting at the final destination for those curious.

We cannot stop raving about this tour. My husband and I were not sure what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised. We could have done without the wine tasting and moonshine (not our thing)- but we loved the way this tour had a surprise ending. The best part is we were a small group so the tour felt intimate and personal. So much fun and our guide was hilarious. Tips * Be ready to walk- the City does not have the best infrastructure so tennis shoes or hiking sandals- no high heels ladies. * Have a good meal beforehand...cause you will be drinking.

The tour was interesting and enjoyable, but please know the tour guide was was verbally biased against the historic influence of other countries in the Bahamas.

Fox was very knowledgeable and engaging. The places, the tastes and the stories were great. The history of the various stops was interesting. The people were all friendly and helpful. The rums were excellent. In our opinion, this is a definite MUST when visiting Nassau.

Walking is very much part of it. The rum alcohol drinks were all phenomenal. The guide Cody was funny and told historical details that were unknown to us.

Fox was our tour guide and amazing. He worked very hard from the start. He treated us well, and was well organized. Food snacks were chicken and conch fritters, all fresh made and seasoned well. Little hot walking but he was mindful of all group members. Be careful to wear comfortable shoes. Most fun at the private Speakeasy!

Shad was excellent. Full of wonderful tidbits of information, accents, and engagement. Great history lesson and wonderful company as we explored the downtown area and drinks/rum of the area.

Where do I start? Fox was an amazing tour guide. He has a wealth of knowledge of the Bahamas. I learned so much in the few hours my family and I were with him. If possible; I highly recommend you ask for him to be your guide. You’ll be glad you did!
