Private Nassau Rose Island Boat Tour Swimming Pigs, Turtles

Top-notch experience. Bodie and his first-mate were just what we were looking for in a low-key yet highly professional charter. He gave us an informed narrative tour on the way out of port and then took us to two great snorkel spots. Everyone on board had a great time - for one of the most reasonable charter prices we've found.

The captain and co captain were very nice and patient with us being confused on where to meet. Better directions should be provided in the description. The boat was great too. I’m not sure what happened with our itinerary though. We never went to a reef and no explanation was provided. We did go see the turtles and the captain and co captain worked hard to spot turtles for us. But they didn’t seem to understand how to make a snorkeling experience. They had no fins - I’ve done so many tours over decades and I’ve never not been offered fins. The current was strong and they dropped us against the current with no bleeping fins and would drive the boat up current to find turtles. Just completely clueless captaining. The scenery is beautiful and the pigs were amazing - they called themselves Rose Island pigs but it clearly is not Rose Island which is farther away. But the experience was great and the pigs were well cared for and the guide there fun - but they are separate from JNC. Had JNC provided email I would have made these comments to them privately but they only had a phone. I would be careful bc it seems the experience varies greatly depending on the ship crew. Not going to a reef as we were promised without explanation and being forced upcurrent was ridiculous. The 3 tweens were not happy and exhausted and said it was their least favorite thing on our trip despite it being the most expensive. Super bummed still.

Chris, the captain, was absolutely fantastic. He took us to all the spots we wanted to visit, providing information about different sites and points of interest along the way. He was very helpful with the uncoordinated members of our family with boarding. Would booking another adventure with Chris in a heartbeat. Thank you again and God bless

The private boat tour was the perfect solution for our family of 8 for the day in Nassau while on a Royal Caribbean cruise. The meeting spot where you board the boat is walking distance to the cruise pier so that’s a big plus. Captain Bodie was great! All the stops were wonderful with the best beaches and water. Because it’s a private boat you can choose how long to stay at each location. They provide snorkeling gear, refreshments and rum punch and a light snack so you just need towels, sunscreen.

Thank you Captain Bodie for a great day! It was a little difficult to find the meet up point, but as soon as we were onboard everything was perfect.

Our cruise didn’t disembark on time so we were an hour late and captain Chris waited and accommodated us. We are able to feed the pigs and snorkeled with turtles and fish even with our trip cut short

We had an amazing day on the water with Captain Chris! He was incredibly flexible, accommodating, and had a great attitude throughout the entire trip. We had a minor delay after hitting a piece of driftwood in the harbor, but he handled it professionally and never let it impact the experience. A truly seasoned pro!! The tour was overall fantastic -- the water was clear, snorkeling and turtles were amazing, and we couldn’t have asked for a better captain. 100% would recommend Captain Chris and would absolutely do this tour again!!

Enjoyed a private charter while stopping in Nassau during a cruise. Was a much better experience vs. taking a larger group tour. Only slight inconvenience is the pickup, while it was a short walk from the port, a slightly sketchy marketplace area, however never felt in danger and locals were helpful. We were able to do essentially four experiences in one, snorkeling, pig beach ($25pp charge), sea turtles and private beach. Chris was our captain, and was very laid back and let us decide what to do/not to do. We were on the fence about the pig beach, but Chris was able to get us in and get out without burning too much time. Generally worth trying if you haven't (don't worry, the pig poop isn't an issue). We saw some of the other tours, and glad we chose this route, as much more intimate and less chaotic, just have to be willing to venture out a bit on your own.

It was a great Private Tour, pickup and communication were also excellent. Captain Bodie was very friendly and we could swim with turtles and snorkel after visiting the mansa bay (feeding and swimming with pigs)

We had an absolutely incredible private boat experience with Chris as our skipper! From start to finish, the day was perfect. We got to see the famous Swimming Pigs, snorkel over beautiful reefs surrounded by fish, visit Green Cay to see the turtles, and spend time on the breathtaking beach at Rose Island. The beach at Rose Island was truly incredible. It felt like we were completely alone in the world. What really made the experience special was Chris. He was an amazing skipper: friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely fun to spend the day with. He made sure we were comfortable, took us to all the best spots, and went above and beyond to make the day memorable. If you're looking for a private boat experience in the Bahamas, I couldn't recommend this experience enough. Vacationing in the Bahamas and wanted to do a snorkel trip with our group. The was one of the best excursions we have taken. Captain Bodie and firstmate were great!

This excursion was an absolute highlight of our trip! Our family had an incredible time from start to finish. Things started off a little rocky because our cruise ship was delayed letting passengers off. Captain Bodie was fantastic—he stayed in touch with us the whole time and was incredibly accommodating. Some people suggested taking a taxi to the marina, but Captain Bodie assured us it was an easy walk, and he was absolutely right. We were glad we listened! The boat itself was amazing. It was just our family, so it felt like a private adventure. The ride was fast, exciting, and so much fun! They had snacks and drinks waiting for us, and they even let us connect our own music to the boat's speaker, which made the experience feel even more personal. Our first stop was Mansa Bay for the famous swimming pigs. While this portion is operated separately from JNC Tours, we still really enjoyed it. It was a bit crowded, but the pigs were adorable, friendly, looked clean and well cared for, and—most importantly to us—didn't appear stressed or sedated. Yes, they poop...a lot! But the staff cleaned the beach constantly, which showed they genuinely care about keeping the area clean. There were also paddleboards, swings, a water trampoline, a slide, and plenty of other activities, so our kids had an absolute blast. Even though we arrived about 35 minutes late, Captain Bodie never made us feel rushed. Instead, he asked what we wanted to do, whether we preferred more beach time or additional snorkeling. It truly felt like a customized tour instead of a preset itinerary. Our next stop was to look for sea turtles. At first, we thought we were out of luck because we didn't see any from the boat. But once we jumped into the water, turtles were everywhere! Swimming alongside them was such an unforgettable experience. We finished with another snorkeling stop at a beautiful reef filled with colorful tropical fish. The snorkeling gear was spotless and in excellent condition—far better than equipment we've used on other excursions. The crew even helped adjust everyone's life jackets to make them as comfortable and secure as possible. Throughout the boat ride, Captain Bodie also pointed out celebrity homes and shared fun facts about the area, which made the trip even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a fun, personalized excursion with an outstanding captain and unforgettable snorkeling, I can't recommend JNC Tours enough. We'd book this again in a heartbeat!

Oh gosh! What praises can I not sing for Captain Chris? He was amazing from start to finish! The rum punch was great (even if it wasn’t his concoction, but I do I hope his is on board on our next trip! 😂), the kid friendly drinks and snacks for everyone on board were great to have. We loved the fun facts/history about houses and islands we passed, and he just went above and beyond to make this experience so much. better than we even hoped for! Highly, highly recommend!! We’ll see you again on our next trip to the island! ❤️

Chris was an incredible boat captain. Awesome experience! We were able to do the pigs, snorkeling, turtles and a sand bar. He also provided snacks and made us feel right at home.

They took us to the most beautiful, secluded beach, Rose Beach. However they did not offer drinks and snacks, until i saw the cooler and asked.

Captain Bodie and his co captain (female)! Im so sorry I can’t remember her name. They were both great!! 20 out of 10! My husband and I went and got a half day all to ourselves, they let us choose what we wanted to do and play our music. We went to 2 private islands, one with the swimming pigs and got to snorkel with turtles. We saw several turtles and he made sure I felt safe basically out in the middle of the water with just my husband and I. They drove us to see the Atlantis harbor and all the beautiful beach homes! I would book this again and recommend this to anyone who wants to have a good time with your friends or partner. For the price this was exactly what we wanted. We had the option of shade on the boat but didn’t need it! They had refreshments and a rum punch on board. Thank you so much for the amazing experience and we can’t wait to come back!!

Captain Eddie and First Mate Courtney gave our family the absolute best tour of the islands surrounding the Bahamas! From the moment they picked us up until they dropped us off, everything was top-notch. They never rushed us and took the time to share so much about Bahamian culture, history, and the beautiful islands. We loved seeing where the rich and famous live, and swimming with the pigs was an unforgettable experience! Courtney truly gave our kids the royal treatment. He was so kind, patient, and attentive, making sure they felt special the entire day. He even jumped off the boat and guided us on a private snorkeling tour, which was one of the highlights of our trip. Captain Eddie made safety a priority from start to finish, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. They provided water, all snorkeling gear, and exceptional service throughout the day. Captain Paul and Zion were great! Pig experience was eh, it was literally just a pig farm on a beach and less of a natural native pig attraction.

We had a great half day on the water. Captain Ramsey did a wonderful job showing us all the adventure! We swam with the pigs and it was a very clean experience! Then we swam with turtles at turtle cay and ended our adventures on Rose Island with its breath taking views. It was a great half day trip. We experienced a lot! Highly recommended!!

We had the BEST time on our JNC Tours Rose Island snorkel adventure! Our Captain and his first mate were so friendly and took us to all the great spots for swimming with the pigs, snorkeling the reefs, and seeing the sea turtles. We had our own private family tour on their boat and it was so worth it! Great price compared to other tours with way more people. They did not rush us and let us take our time. They were so helpful with our 9 year old son as it was his first time snorkeling! We will definitely be back! Thank you!

This was one of our favorite excursions ever. We had about a 10 minute walk from the ship to the dock where we were picked up. This is a private group excursion for a maximum of 8 people. We were picked up in a nice center console boat equipped with plenty of shade. Capt. Bodie and his assistant, Ahndin, are awesome. They had complimentary soft drinks, snacks, water and tum punch on board. Both were incredibly friendly, engaging and knowledgable. Our first stop was Mansa Beach, where we got to feed the pigs. They also had several water activities and refreshments. This optional experience was an additional $20 per person. If you opt out, you just go straight to the snorkeling experiences. Our first snorkeling spot was a reef. There water was gorgeous, And the reef was full of fish. There were lots of other boats around, but we were anchored on the edge of the reef and had plenty of room to ourselves. The last stop was at a turtle nesting area. There were again several boats around us. Nobody else appeared to have any luck spotting turtles, but Capt. Bodie has eagle eyes. He spotted a large turtle, and our group was able to jump in the water and swim around with it for a bit. At $800, this is a fantastic value if you have 8 in your group. Even with the extra for the pigs and gratuities, it was easily the best value for an excursion we’re had. Our whole party had a blast.

We had a little confusion in the beginning on where to meet the boat but after in the boat we had the best day! My 3 boys had a blast! Captain Chris was amazing! We say turtles and went to a private island. Would definitely do it again and highly recommend.

My family of 8 took this tour today for half the day, it was absolutely incredible! Captain Eddie and his 2 sons were amazing. They know the area well, knew just where to take us to see sea turtles and tropical fish. They had all the equipment we needed, and really gave us the time to explore. I truly cannot recommend this tour enough!

Carlos was our captain and he ensured our safety and comfort. Since we were the only group on the boat, we were able to stay at each stop as long as we wanted to and he was waiting to take us to the next island and then back to port, right on time. We enjoyed the drinks and snacks on board, also!

There simply aren’t enough words to fully explain how amazing this experience was. Captain Eddie and his son were the most incredible, caring, and knowledgeable guides we could have ever hoped for. Full disclosure: I’m an anxiety-ridden, overprotective mom of three young kids (9, 7, and 5), and I was nervous about booking an excursion that wasn’t affiliated with our cruise line. But from the moment we met Captain Eddie and his son, it was immediately clear that we were in the most capable hands. Our safety and the quality of our experience were clearly their top priorities. One of the things we loved most was that the entire day was just for our family of five. We didn’t have to deal with large tour groups, crowds, or waiting in lines—it was a completely private and relaxed experience, which made it so much more enjoyable with young kids. We told them we were hoping for beautiful scenery, snorkeling, and a little history about the island—and they delivered all of that and so much more. We swam with sea turtles, learned about the island’s history, toured Pablo Escobar’s abandoned home, visited what has to be one of the most pristine white sandy beaches on earth, and finished the day with lunch at an incredible on-the-water bar and grill that I’m certain isn’t on any other tour itinerary. I wish I had better words to express just how special this experience was, but I truly don’t. Do this excursion—you will NOT be sorry. Without a doubt, it’s a day of memories my family will cherish forever.

It was very fun. We hung out with the pigs, were able to hold and feed them. The kids absolutely loved it. Then went snorkeling and saw tons of fish at rainbow reef. Then went and saw sea turtles. One of the best excursions we’ve been on.

Wonderful way to spend the day in port at Nassau! We got a nice view of the island from the water, saw some celebrity homes, and enjoyed rum punch and other drinks with our guide/ captain Bodie. Bodie was laid- back, personable, safe, flexible, and a pleasure to get to know. He took us to 2 good snorkeling spots and then to swim with the pigs. All 3 were fun and captured the flavor of the Bahamas. Wee wouldn’t hesitate to recommend JNC Tours and would book this again.

We had a blast with Eddie and Courtney! They were so friendly and took us to some awesome snorkeling spots where we saw so many different fish and even turtles!! We got there early before a lot of other tours, so we had some spots all to ourselves! I would definitely recommend booking with them as a private tour. This was a million times better than getting on a crowded boat with a bunch of strangers. We were able to spend as little or as much time at each place because it was just us. The boat was very nice, and we were so comfortable. They provided snorkeling equipment for us and bottled waters. We made a lot of great memories. Thanks again for such a wonderful experience!

Great time. Best excursion we had on our cruise. First leg was visiting the pigs. Paid an extra $25 pp. We didn’t swim with pigs. We saw them crapping in the water before we got on the island. We fed the pigs and then took some pics with the pigs. Then back on the boat. Clearly not the best part of the trip. But the trip got better as we moved along. Pig swim is a little bit of a scam. We next part of the trip we passed “Gilligan’s Island”. Supposedly looked like Gilligans Island. Not really. Next island we visited was where the turtles hung out. We jumped in the water and snorkeled with some turtles. Very cool. Last stop was Rose Island aka paradise. Captain Eddie set anchor and we jumped in for a swim. Literally no one else was there. Our own private beach. We swam for about an hour. There was some coral reef nearby and there were plenty of fish to see. Very relaxing and appreciated the solitude contrasting the 5500 people on our cruise ship. Captain Eddie and his son were super cool and were open to whatever we wanted to do. Great excursion for my family of 5 on a private boat.

Captain Eddy Smith was absolutely fantastic. He took us to four different spots and was flexible on where we went. The boat had plenty of shade (which is needed in the hot Bahamian sun) and was very comfortable. Captain Eddy was a great guide - helpful with the kids and put safety as a priority. He also provided historical facts about the islands we passed. Highly recommend!

We had the most incredible experience on our four-hour catamaran cruise with Captain Bodie! From start to finish, he made sure every moment was memorable. We snorkeled at a beautiful reef teeming with colorful fish, swam alongside graceful sea turtles, and explored a quiet island where peacocks wandered freely. We ended our tour with the famous swimming pigs which was a unique experience. To top it all off, he recommended and personally dropped us off at a fantastic local lunch spot, where we enjoyed the best conch salad and conch fritters we’ve ever had. Captain Bodie was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about showing off the best of the Bahamas. This cruise was a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and local flavor. Small group so it was flexible and our captain let us choose what we did. Fun for kids and not too long. Perfect day and better than being on a boat with 40 people!

Captain Chris was punctual ,polite and friendly. He even gave us bahama mama drinks that was not part of the package. He dropped us right to the atalntis marina which was an extra touch. Peacock beach which is 100% perfect beach was all to us amd saw peacocks there. Saw decent amount of fishes and also turtle. Swim with the pigs was not as expected. The beach was extremely rocky full of sharp conch shells. Would have liked to go furthe into the water to actually claim swim with the pigs. But overalll was a perefct day .

We had a great experience! Snorkeling was great, we saw many turtles, and our kids loved the peacocks and pigs. It was so nice to get off resort for half a day, and Captain Chris was great!

My family and I booked this and it was very good. Having the boat to ourselves, we got to pick the order of things we did, and the captain never rushed us from place to place. We had four total stops: the Rose Island reef, Green Cay (turtles!), an uncrowded beach on rose Island, and then a place with the pigs. Captain Bodi kept us informed, answered our questions, and told us things about the area. My daughter's (8 and 12) had a blast. We used our own snorkeling equipment, but there were life vests provided that were in good condition for my kids and spouse. Looking at other very crowded boats full of people disrespecting made me happy we booked the private boat. Much more our speed.
