We started with a taxi ride, about 10 minutes drive it was $7/pp for our family of 6. When we arrived at the paradise island ferry terminal we were able to purchase cold drinks while we waited. The ferry was on time and the ride was a smooth 15 minutes. On board we were told everything was included- kayaks, paddle boards, first come first serve. We were the second boat to pull up and the peach area was already filling, there were no paddle boards in sight not on the water or available to use, and we only saw 3 kayaks. They had fresh coconuts but told us two different prices $10 then $15 back to back so we spent a smooth $45 on a few sips of coconut water. Then they upsold the snorkel masks charging an extra $25 after we already spent $15 for a mask bur nothing to see in the "free" beach area. The lunch was the most disappointing, the fish was flavorful but the whole plate was cold, the rice and beans were dry and the chicken was well overcooked and cold, the server joked about getting a tip when she literally was dishing out old cold food. The other end of the island that had signs pointing towards the iguana experience was closed off and when I asked a member of the staff she said the iguanas were running around under the bushes. Overall the beach was ok but it wasn't worth the money for a few hours, mediocre lunch.
Charmaine guide was great!! Wonderful tour and beautiful beach:)
Charmaine was 10/10!!!!!!!!
My family I really enjoyed ourselves. The instructions were provided and it was very helpful to find the meeting point especially when you not sure of the location. The beach was very clean and I would totally recommend this excursion
Beautiful getaway Cay Good experience and good fun
Eat before you go I understand it’s lunch but if something you can’t eat they will not give you more of the other options I cannot eat their sweet bbq chicken so I asked for more fish their answer was was no I’m 240lb person and 2 fish nuggets will not do it for me
bad a great time with my partner, price value ratio 9/10!
The island was very nice, water and views were beautiful. Food was not good, no snacks except chips, beer was warm, and the boat was in disrepair. The captain had troubles driving the boat both coming and going. The young man who checked us in and gave instructions was delightful and helpful.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. They did an amazing job. The trip lasted 3 hours and 15 minutes, not the 5 hours they advertised.
The fairy from downtown Nassau to Paradise Island only leaves when it’s full. There is no set times so you must be there extremely early or have to do what we did and take a $30 cab over the bridge to Paradise Island. The tour guide let us know we could ask for the boat to drop us back at downtown Nassau which was really good. Didn’t get any history of the island or anything just the ride over there. The water was a little rough that day so we couldn’t snorkel on the reef, but we did get to snorkel on the other side and saw a lot of fish and the stingray. It’s a little bummer that there wasn’t any real place to swim in the ocean just hanging out in a shallow roped of area. but it was a beautiful island. Very nice to lay in the lounge chair and just look at how pretty everything is. The food was good. And there is a bar to purchase drinks.
Was a bit overrated from what I saw online, the island gets packed as several boats come packed with people if your not one of the first boats in chairs will be limited. Most of the beach is rocks and if traveling with kids who want to play in the water this probably isn’t the experience you want as the 2 sandy beaches fill up quickly. Food was ok if you want hot dogs for your kids this is extra. Based on other day trips we have done they might cost a little bit more but it is worth the extra expense
I didn't know we had to bring our own towels so that would have been good info, and also the website says that you can play on the obstacle course as part of your experience but that wasn't the case. They were charging $10.
This was definitely as it says .. beach escape! It was relaxing. The island is beautiful. The lunch was delicious. I would recommend this to those who seek an even clearer more pristine waters and better views, cleaner beach compared to the main islands (Paradise and Nassau). Very family friendly and life guards are very attentive.
Everything in the Bahamas is expensive - I thought for the price of this one, it was well worth it. The staff on the island were friendly and helpful. It’s a cheap option for a day tour.
This is a great day trip. The island is nice and the food was amazing. The team that was on the island was amazing. Had a great experience.
The activists available are limited and not as reflected in the website, no shower, the food was not good, no pedal boats or trampoline.
It was ok just felt like it should have had more. But hopefully it has improved now. I would do it again just because the host was fun and kept a great vibe.
The pictures are a catfish. The island was like a ship wreck had washed upon shore, the ferry left us so we had to pay for our own water travel. We got a meal ticket which definitely wasn’t worth it. The food was cold.
It was difficult to find the ferry after disembarking. The lunch was ok but not worth what the excursion cost. The beach was almost nonexistent and full of rocks under the water. We left early mostly because of the pouring rain also. Very disappointed!
Bring your own snacks nothing available. Overall very relaxing plenty of seating and umbrellas. The food was ok nothing I would recommend.
The boat ride over and back was fun. Pearl island was very nice. The staff was amazing! The food for lunch was a good selection.
We had a good time. We were disappointed that the paddle boards were out of service which was included in our ticket. The food was good, but didn’t include a drink and there wasn’t an area to refill water bottles, which is crazy with the heat. The lady serving the food was rude and angry. Everyone else was nice. Facilities were clean and the place was beautiful.
It’s more on your own! Snorkeling the reef was awesome. Separate fee for that of $25 per person. There are bars for drinks and lunch good. There really was no guide and island is small but beautiful. Great swimming in one side and snorkeling on the other
Cute Island, however you will spend most of your time finding your Way on and off the island. If your on a ship this will be an all day trip. The Food was average and the customer service is slim to none. We walked around Margaritaville looking for the guide while they were sitting at the restaurant eating. We tried reaching out to the company NO ONE answers the phone and they take days to respond the emails. I tried to reach out to cancel before my dead line and once again no response. If you want to get the Nassau experience I would NOT recommend this trip.
You have to really pay attention because I didn’t hear them call out to get on the boat but saw the line otherwise it was a lovely experience for the price. The food was tasty I even got my little one to eat fish! The snorkeling was $25 not included but worth it and the location was lovely
Bad experience…Island is not as the pictures show, nor were the activities available as they describe. The paddle boards were all broke, so we couldn’t use. The trampoline had holes in it so couldn’t use. You don’t have access to the entire small island and the snorkeling experience was very very short.
This is a relaxing beach spot with white sands and turquoise water. Select from lounge chairs on the beach or a cabana (at cost). Wish there were more food options, but the meal provided was good. If there’s a changing room for the ladies I didn’t find it, so that’s the only thing I’d want to see next time.
Was overpriced for what was received. Very little direction or guidance from the person heading up the tour.
Had a wonderful experience. The lunch was good, and my family and I were taught how to snorkel. Lynn was a great host, and MJ was a great teacher of snorkeling in the reef.
Wonderful and friendly crew! We had a great time! Pearl Island is beautiful and the lunch was very good. Would definitely recommend!
Very professional and friendly guides . Literally made some New friends . Everyone was friendly and very helpful
It was okay. A lot of different groups and access areas so was a bit confusing. Lunch was just okay. It got the job done but 've had better. I had to pay extra to snorkel in a certain area even though I paid for unguided snorkeling, it was an odd set up overall. The staff was great though! Charlessa and the crew were very friendly and helpful.
The timing was too tight to enjoy the island. The boat to pick us up from the ferry port (close to the Atlantis hotel) was almost an hour late to pick us up. Then the boat crew mentioned a 3:15p pickup but it actually left at 2:50p. Also, the food was not very vegetarian friendly and the drinks were quite costly. They provided more service to the folks from the cruise vs people who booked online. I would not recommend this for an online purchase.
We had such an amazing day thanks to our incredible tour guide, Ivan! He was so thoughtful, informative, and just a joy to be around. The island was the perfect little escape—charming, peaceful, and full of character. He made the whole experience feel easy and special, always attentive and so accommodating. You could really tell he cared. We felt completely at ease and truly enjoyed every minute. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend the day!
Ivon was a top notch tour guide He explained everything in detail. One of the best tour guides in a long time. We had a AWESOME time.
They canceled the morning off and didn’t say anything to us. No communication at all. Tried calling multiple times and nobody was available to talk
Everything was straight forward on the tour. Instructions were clear from each rep to ensure we received the full experience. The Island was beautiful and peaceful, very clean and welcoming.
Our family had heard mixed reviews more bad than good at one point. We decided to keep the excursion and we are so glad we did! It’s not commercialized like other islands in the Bahamas but it was an amazing experience! My family and I went kayaking, swimming, walked to the top of the lighthouse! The food was surprisingly delicious, my 4 year old and 13 year old devoured their food and loved it! If you are looking for zip lines , hot air balloons or stuff like that this isn’t for you . If you are looking for a quieter excursion to get away to the beach and have fun walking around I strongly recommend !
The Island was beautiful and beaches clean and nice. The food was tasty. The only problem was a boat picked up many people at 2pm. We still had over an hour. The lifeguards left, no place to get a drink, could not go out on water adventure that had trampoline, climbing wall was also closed. Overall good experience but remember not everyone leaves at 2pm and we would have liked more things open
Had a wonderful beach day with my family. Our host Ivan made sure our family who was from Madsay had a great time He was a wonderful host! Highly recommend.
We were guided to a boat that took us to the boat the goes to pearl island which we missed that boat.it wasn’t our fault as we awaited for people to aboard the 1st boat making us late to the 2nd boat.we never got a chance to go on pearl island.we had to ask for a refund as well as pay money to get back to nassae to our Royal Caribbean boat including what we paid to try to get to pearl island +tip..this is my 1st cruise and wasn’t guided correctly or properly but if I book Pearl Harbor again at least I know which way to go..good luck everyone.its more to this story but I think I said enough.
Went with a group of 11 people. Showed up 2 mins past the check in time and they had left. We never received final booking ticket after payment so had to figure out our way to the meeting spot. No one was even at the pier when we arrived to speak with. Overall horrible experience
We came here as an excursion on a cruise port day. The beginning should have been an indication of the rest of the excursion...The people guiding us to the boats were disorganized and not too friendly. The boat ride there and back was good, the guide was very nice, friendly and funny. The experience looked nice in the pictures, but the place looks run down (and so do the boats that bring you there)...broken chairs, a plate of food that consisted of a piece of chicken, some fried fish pieces, rice and some veggies that looked like something you would get in the frozen section of the grocery store. Not enough bar tenders at the main area where they serve the food. The beaches are nice but very small. Nothing impressive really, which is too bad because it would have the potential to be so much more. I'm sorry to say that I wouldn't go back there...we paid over 250$ for this and at first we were afraid we wouldn't have enough time to enjoy the area, but honestly, we were ready to leave long before it was time to go.
This place sucks....rats running around, broken bathrooms, nightmare!!! Food was awful, all the chairs were broken. Go somewhere else
Coming from NH, we were craving a beautiful beach day, but that did not happen. First the woman in charge seemed to enjoy yelling all the directions, there were a lot! The beaches were very small, no long walks on a beach! The lounge chairs were not in great shape, very old, the facilities were old & run down. The food was rice & chicken, nothing special. For $270 definitely felt like a ripoff. Thankfully, I got my beautiful beach day on Ft Lauderdale, miles of beach, walking along the ocean was spectacular & free!!!
If you want to enjoy the sun, while just relaxing, it is perfect. The lunch they served was chicken, rice, fish filets, and mixed vegetables. There are no choices. They dip your plate and that is it. We found 2 places that were selling some souvenirs. 3 hrs would be a better amount of time for this excursion. Got back just in time to get back on our cruise, so no time to do anything else.
Don't go there!!! they just want your money, the food is cheap and cold and served by people that don't care of you, what is worth 380 usd for a family of 4 there? Nothing... it was so windy and they didn't even planned to install a wind blocker to eat food quietly. This is a scam
Pearl Island was our first organised tour on our cruise, we were not impressed. The island infrastructure is tired and poorly maintained, many broken bed chairs. The areas of sand beach are very limited and no bed chairs are allowed on them. The boat over to the island did not include any useful commentary and music was turned up so loud that the speakers could not cope. Food was included along with water and lemonade, the food was of a very poor standard and when I asked for lemonade I was told it was a chargeable extra ! Staff were disinterested at best and surly at times. All in all a disappointing experience, all other tours were outstanding by comparison.
To be fair, the day started with rain and was a cloudy, cold day. The island was ok and had potential. With that said, it wasn’t the cleanest and there was a lot not said. For example, you were only given 1 cup of water with your meal. Was not informed yo bring water. You had to pay for beverages. No towels included and food was so average. The beach was small and really ok for kids. I was with teens and we were bored after an hour and wanted to go back. I would say go if you have nothing else planned. Not good value for the money.
