Karon was a wonderful guide! It was very interesting to hear the island’s history and see the local sights—we learned so much. He also got us in and out of the rum cake shop and chocolate factory very timely. We then visited caves and headed to Nirvana beach. The beach was great and was not crowded at all. We were able to snorkel and see many colorful fish, which was the highlight for me. This tour was just what we needed and I highly recommend it!

Nirvana Love Beach was the best! Loved the beach, the food, the vibe. Very accommodating with food and umbrellas. Gorgeous place to relax.
Everything was perfect from the minute I meet them. Tyrone son was are guide and he treated me and my husband like we was a king and queen. Told us all about Nassau seen all the sights and served us food on love beach we watched the planes coming in. It's was wonderful book with Tyrone Wilson you will not be disappointed
Tyrone is a top notch guide he was so accommodating and was very cautious of your safety while staying adventurous...it was a great experience from a family man of the Bahamas of over 30 years experience on the island..we highly recommend him and his services especially in these uncertain times..we went to town saw all kinds of history and Tyrone was nothing but exceptional thank you Tyrone
It was just me and my friend so we zoomed through all the activities. I loved our guide, he was smart and friendly and answered all our questions. I guess my expectation was a bit too high as far as the activities go. You walk in and out of the chocolate and rum cake factory. No tour like I thought there might be. The caves were walk in and out. They blocked off the majority of it because some stupid condos. The queens staircase was just that....a staircase. None of these were very impressive. The beach is when it got real iffy. The woman at the bar was rude. Rolling her eyes and gave us the wrong food order and then once we started eating, took it away. The beach was clean. It was cloudy that day so there was a damper. The tour is definitly not worth what we paid. Next time I'll go through Carnival as I usually have. They are more fun on those excursions. Very glad I met the guide though, he was the best part of the tour to be honest. I love booking through Viator but this was just a bummer tour. =(
My husband and I booked a private tour for four. When we arrived we met Nikki who was amazing. A HUGE group appeared without having pre-booked. She spoke with us and let us know our driver was on the way and then handled this other group with grace and ease. She was extremely courteous and organized, as well as being friendly and funny and easy to talk to. We knew we had booked the right tour before it even started. Karon was our driver. He was wonderful! Not only did he ask us what we wanted to see but he made some great suggestions. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the island, the politics and other facts, which made for an intriguing and engaging conversation. After we went to the Rum Cake factory, the rum distillery, the chocolate factory and the Queen's steps we were heading to the beach. The other two people in our party wanted to go back to the ship so Karon dropped them off first and then took us to this gorgeous almost deserted beach. We enjoyed a very nice lunch, swam a little - it was a bit cold - and enjoyed some peace and relaxation in the sun. Karon got us back to the ship in time to board for dinner. I can't recommend this tour highly enough.
Karon took the four of us on an amazing tour of Nassau. He has great knowledge and love for his people and country, and it was a pleasure to spend the day with him. He has a great sense of humor and there was never a dull moment with him in the car. The snorkeling spot was beautiful. He took us to a private beach where we spent close to 3 hours by ourselves just swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing by the water. The excursion included lunch from the local surf shop that owned the beach. This trip was the most relaxing part of our vacation! This excursion is a must , especially with Karon! Thanks for sharing your beautiful Island with us! Erik and Alli Jonny and Ally
What a pleasure it was to be given a personalized tour around Nassau by Tyrone Jr. He is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Our family of four had a wonderful day in Nassau. We snorkeled at Love Beach and had the provided lunch at the bar. Food was tasty and staff was friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend this tour enough!
Tyrone was very prompt and helpful in responding to my inquiries throughout the booking process, which was much appreciated. We booked a private tour for our multi-generational group of 7. We all did the "Island Highlights Sightseeing" portion (in a nice air-conditioned vehicle) and then some of us carried on to spend time at Nirvanna Love Beach (the "Sightseeing & Snorkel" tour) while the seniors in our group were driven back to the port. This worked very well for us! Nassau is a very busy port and it was nice to be in a private small tour where we were transported away from the rather chaotic port area to see more of what New Providence & Paradise Islands have to offer. The scenery is beautiful and we enjoyed seeing some of the attractions. Our guide, Karon, was excellent! He had a very laid back style, but was knowledgeable, attentive, and took very good care of us throughout the afternoon! Those of us who did the beach thought that the beach was lovely! We were supplied with lounge chairs, snorkel equipment, lunch and a soft drink. This is fairly minor, but one element of our tour was different from what had been described. We did not visit Watling's Distillery as we thought we would, but rather went to some caves. Not sure why that change was made, but it hadn't been discussed with us. Overall, we had a great day and I would recommend Tyrone Wilson's Tours!
KaRon was our guide and shared a lot of knowledge about the island, but when we didn’t want to linger, he got the hint and we kept moving! After visiting a few of the well known sites, he took us to a secluded beach off the beaten path. When an unexpected rainstorm blew up, he came to check on us to see if we wanted to leave early. Would definitely recommend!
My two daughters and I had nothing planned when we arrived in Nassau. We met Tyrone and he told us about his tour. He seemed cool and legit so we booked the tour and were not disappointed! Queen B was an awesome guide! We learned a lot about the history of Nassau and she was great with answering all of our questions. We had explained to Tyrone that we really wanted to get in a good amount of beach time so he altered the tour a little so that we would have more time on the beach which was great! We even got snorkeling gear and beach chairs included with the price of the tour. If you are going to Nassau, I highly recommend Tyrone and his tour!
We arrived at Nassau with no excursion planned due to originally having the potential for poor weather. Tyrone was recommended by someone at the port. He and his team were great. They escorted us to the bank to grab some cash, and took us to Love Beach. On the ~25 minute trip each way, they told us about the city. The fees also included a set of goggles and snorkels to use at the beach. Love Beach was awesome. Very secluded. The reef was great to snorkel around. There were plenty of fish and other wildlife in the area. The pavilion had drinks, beer, and food. It looks a little sketch, but was pretty good considering. Overall, I would do the trip again. Thanks!
Truly a great gem of an experience! Me and my boyfriend did the Sightseeing and Snorkeling Tour with Karon. He was hands down the most hilarious and easy going tour guide I've ever had. Incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. Would highly recommend booking with this company for your vacation. A tour guide who can quote a perfect Sponge Bob Square Pants line after I say I'm from Peru will always be a win in my book. Will never forget our trip to Nassau, Thank you Karon! :)
This booking was exactly as described. Our tour guide Berdy (can’t remember the other girls name) but they was very professional and knowledgeable of all the landmarks in the area. Not only that but funny! And knew how to be excited hostesses. She even had answers to all our random questions. We enjoyed it all. As far as the snorkeling I may have seen two different types of fish. We were told we had to go far out to really see the good stuff. All and all well worth it.
A sincere thank you to Tyrone Wilson's V.I.P. Tour Services and their friendly staff for making our Nassau visit personal and memorable! My wife and I had a guided tour with Tyrone's son, Karon. Karon is an incredible guy. He went out of his way to personalize and tailor the excursion to our interests. He was flexible and laid back, allowing us to add stops to our trip as we saw fit. He did a fantastic job of intertwining historical information with lighthearted fun! He topped off the excursion by dropping us off at a private beach for swimming and snorkeling. We were virtually the only ones on the beach. The beach was right next to a seaside bar and grill where we enjoyed great food and good company. We would have never found any of these spots on our own. This was by far the best thing we did on our Nassau Island visit and I recommend it highly. Thank you!
This is a simple tour. Liked it, but was a short tour. Food was very good. Tour guide was very helpful and answered all of our questions.
This was an amazing tour. Our guide, Karon, was fantastic. He helped us understand and see Nassau beyond the tourism highlights. He answered my trillion questions about the people and culture of Nassau and the Bahamas. The tour helped us see the proud industries and history of Nassau and the snorkeling was amazing. You won't be disappointed.
Karon was our guide and I must say he was the most friendliest funny guy I’ve met. My wife and son loved it. He knew all the great spots and knew a lot about the areas. All the staff was great to work with thank you. Will definitely use again when we go back. Thanks P.S. sorry for asking so many questions Karon but I learned a lot
I am so glad we booked this excursion with Tyrone Wilson's. Karon was amazing! This excursion made our vacation. It was a little bit of everything we were looking for. We will definitely use them again and let everyone we know to use them. They did an amazing job! Thank you!
We dock in Nassau, the port was OK, was not quite satisfied by the information given on the taxi cost to the Dock was the Snorkeling boat was. Despite, that the snorkeling trip with Bahamas Diver was excellent. we really enjoyed the site were we were taken to snorkel, full of color fish, clear waters, excellent explanation by the captain on what to do, how to do it. etc
Tyrone was the best host I've ever experienced for any cruise excursion. On time, funny, interesting and went above and beyond the call of duty in many ways. Although the weather was not ideal, this did not deter Tyrone from providing a great excursion. Really, top notch service start to finish. It was also obviously that he was close to everyone that worked for him. Felt like they were a tight family. Just a great day. Thanks Tyrone. (And I need to disclose that this review was not at all influenced by the free bottle of Rum I won for answering a trivia question while on the tour).
Karon was an excellent driver and provided us with a great overview of life in the Bahamas. The beach was beautiful and quiet......just what we needed! Service was punctual with attention to detail. This excursion was a great alternative to the usual tourist traps. Thank you Karon!!!
After looking at the various reviews we were looking forward to an entertaining and fun day on the Island. Tyrone welcomed us and promised us an entertaining and exciting day. Can't fault the transportation, a luxurious mini bus. Unfortunately we did not have Tyrone as our guide, we had a quiet local girl. I had to pump her for information on the Island, population, hurricane damage, trivia - information that would have kept us interested. First stop the rum cake shop - after the free gorgeous samples we bought some! Next stop the chocolate shop and factory for a tour and free chocs- The tour albeit only a 10 minute back room pictures on the wall and a few exhibits ... was closed due to construction :( We took our free chocs and went. John Watling's Rum factory and tour- The brief tour was interesting but without even the smallest of a free sample we would not be buying any bottles of Rum. On to the Fort and The Queen's staircase, we jumped out and walked down the steps, not a lot to see but worth a look at the chasm and steps carved out of the stone. Penultimate stop at the Caves- natural caves with fruit bats hidden away. Last stop The Beach for snorkelling and a bite to eat, unfortunately ( Hmm used this word a few times ) only a few fish to see in the water, some direction on where they are and what they were would have been great - We had paid $325 for three of us after all. We relaxed on the beach whilst lunch was prepared. Lunch was adequate - Our fried chicken, fries and salad was lovely, shame the burger was burnt that our daughter ordered. Time to go we were bored and wanted to get back on our ship. When we returned, I mentioned to Tyrone about our unfulfilling day and disappointment , he apologised some small refund would have been welcome but I was not going to push it.
Tyrone’s service was absolutely exquisite! I have to say we were a bit hesitant to go with him because right when you get off the boat everyone is throwing taxi services in your face. Tyrone, however, was unbelievably kind and generous. Our trip was customized. Birdy was the best driver we could have asked for! Ended the trip on a private beach after visiting many different historical attractions. Overall an amazing experience!
Four of our 6 members were scheduled to take a scuba diving expedition, but the expedition didn't show. Tyrone and company arranged for our family to catch up with us on the tour with a discounted rate. The tour itself was very interesting. We went to a rum factory and a chocolate factory. We saw the sights in Nassau and learned its history, then went to a lovely beach. Not only an excellent tour, but outstanding customer service.
Never having been to Nassau before we were very excited to see the city. Sadly it seemed like every stop was an opportunity for us to buy something. It was quite the hard sell. For some reason we ended up with no lunch, and during the "snorkeling" our driver sat at the beach club and drank, and we're fairly certain he was drunk when he drove us back to the ship. I would not take this tour again.
Hey there, we visited Nassau on the 11/26/2017. We came there with Royal Caribbean cruise ship. It was very easy to find a place to meet our guide and at 10:00 we went for the excursion. We visited such cool places as 1. Graycliff Chocolatier where we tried awesome candies. They had different, sometimes unexpected flavors. It was located at the wonderful bright district where we'd made hundreds of photos as well; 2. Rum Cake Factory where an adult gentleman from Great Britain helped us to select the best rum cake at Bahamas; 3. Queen's Staircase where we'd found the chilly atmosphere and beautiful views; 4. Fort Fincastle with really old equipment and nice view at the city; 5. John Watling's Distillery where we tasted different kinds of local rum that are not being exported elsewhere and the best Pina Colada in the world! :) 6. And the last but not the least - Nirvana Beach. This place was gorgeous and we spent there ~3 hours which wasn't enough since we liked it so much, but what could we do, we had to leave to the ship. This place has a nice local bar where we also tasted local cocktails that were awesome. During all this time we had a wonderful guidance and support from the Tyrone Wilson's Tour. The excursion was in comfortable bus with A/C which was cool. We really liked the tour and it was worth the money we paid for it!!!
I was traveling with a group on the Enchantment of the Seas to celebrate a wedding. My husband and I had been to Nassau before and were looking for something different to do other than visiting the big hotel and casino. We were also interested in learning a little bit about the history of Nassau. After reading reviews on Trip Advisor and Cruise Critic we decided to give Tryrone Wilson tour a try and we were glad we did. 11 others of the group joined us on the sight seeing and snorkeling tour. Tyrone met us at the spot indicated at the email. Our group of 13 was given our own van with driver and guide. We visited Fort Fincastle where Cadet Smith gave us a great tour of the fort. We did a one way down tour of the Queen's Staircase, a local guide named Patrick gave us some history of the staircase, our driver picked us up at the other end. We were happy not to have to walk back up! We also visited the pirate caves at the end of the island. There was a local tour guide at the caves that gave us some history and also took photos of us at the caves. We enjoyed all three of these historic sites, we stayed for just amount the right amount of time at each one. We also visited a rum cake factory, that was ok, and the chocolate factory tour which was excellent! After visiting the sites mentioned above we were taken to Nirvana Beach where we were given lunch, great cheeseburgers, fries and soda, this was included as part of our tour price. Adult beverages were available for purchase from a very friendly bar tender. There were lounge chairs for us at the beach, there was also nice bathrooms and an outdoor shower. We were given snorkel equipment to use at the beach. There was a reef close to shore where we saw several types of small fish as well as a baby ray. We spent about 2 hours at the beach which was the prefect amount of time for us. At the end of the 2 hours our driver was there to pick us up and and took us back to the ship. All 13 of us had a great day would recommend this tour to anyone in Nassau. Thank you Tyrone!

This trip provided an insight into the life of the typical Bahamian resident. We went places and saw areas of the city and countryside that you are just not going to see if you take organized tours from the cruise lines that go to the tourist trap sites like Atlantis etc. We went down the back alleys to visit a rum cake maker, a chocolate factory where we got a tour and tasting of the wares, a trip to an old fort, a tour around the neighbourhood and a trip to a small private beach for snorkelling.... minimal ability to change clothing here... had to use a washroom. The beach was not the greatest and the rocks were close to the surface, but there were fish to see.
We were not provided with any food on the trip.
Our transportation during this trip comprised of a small van/ taxi that was desperately in need of some front end and brake work... somewhat nerve racking on the bumpy secondary roads we were on... but the air conditioning worked well.
Overall, this trip is not for those seeking a polished trip to tourist areas, but is ideal for those wishing to experience a little bit on how the common folk live. Be prepared for small vendor stalls where you get called over to check out the same goods that the next vendor has, and folks looking for tips. These folks really do live from tourist money

This is a family run touring group. Vans were clean, air conditioned and guides are dedicated to your group. This means that they move on to the next experience when you are ready, a luxury we did not expect! You will get to taste/purchase rum cakes at a local factory and my oldest son, who did not like rum cake before we got there, has been converted. Very moist, Bahamian rum is flavorful, variety of flavors from Amaretto to Pina Colada. Cakes come in a small souvenir size to full size, vacuum packed for freshness to follow you home to share a taste of Nassau with your friends. Bakers behind glass were friendly as was the host behind the counter. Chocolate tasting was very special for my chocoholic sons. We were invited to remove the chaff of the roasted cocoa bean to get to the nib, taste nibs, taste dark to white chocolates, and learned about the process. At the end we had to take some of their pretty chocolates with us. We also visited a local cave full of fruit bats and heard pirate stories. Between tastings we visited the Queens Steps and got a full 360 view of the island from the vantage point of the fort near by. There are also local vendors with souvenirs that are better than what you find just off the port. Our adventure ended at a beach where we were supplied with lounge chairs, a barbecue burger lunch with a fresh cold soda. As our guide suggested we get the local flavor, the cost of the food was credited toward my purchase of a conch salad. Urge you to try the same, it was great! White sand beach was not very crowded, restrooms were clean, can do snorkeling but need to swim out to the fishes and we had tween boys who were not confident to explore that much. Easily spent 2 hours there and could have stayed longer but our ship was leaving and we had to go. Full enjoyment of every minute of time we had to give that port stop. Worth it!

Such an amazing tour!!! The best excursion my fiancee and I did on our recent cruise. They were waiting right outside the port with a sign so it was very easy to find. Then Tyrone Wilson gave us some amazing Bahamas rum to start us off on our tour. Our tour guide was Berty, she was awesome! Very personable and knowledgeable about the island, she made a great tour even better. From the rum cake to the chocolate factory to the beach that was gorgeous and all ours, this tour well worth it. I highly recommend it if your in Nassau for a day or a week, Tyrone Wilson's is where it's at!

Fun and exciting tour, Birdie was our tour guide which she was very kind and easy to talk with. The water was to cold for us to go snorkeling however we enjoyed the beach time. There were five of us and the only thing I would suggest is that she talk a little louder for the people in the back of the vehicle to hear what she says as she tours around the areas. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you!

Went on this tour Jan 13, 2017. Had a wonderful afternoon seeing the city with Sherry AKA Bahama Mama. She was very knowledgeable about the city and very fun to talk with. The van she drove us around in was very well maintained and comfortable and we were able to leave our belongings in the van during our stops which was a great bonus because we didn't want to lug our gear around at every stop. She opted to drive us to the fish fry for some conch salad which was amazing. Great choice! Thanks Tyrone and Sherry for a wonderful experience in Nassau!

This was a wonderful tour. The guide was wonderful and had many interesting stories to tell about Nassau. The beach she took us to was uncrowded and very beautiful. Would definitely recommend this tour.

This was a terrific tour that allowed us to both see the main tourist attractions of Nassau and get some beach and snorkel time at a private and less crowded beach named Love Beach. Our guide Jeffrey was informative and funny and gave us the flexibility to spend as much time as we would like at each site. We saw the Queen's Staircase and a local fort, a chocolate factory 15 minute tour with a free sample and some local caves. We then spent 3 hours and lunch at a beautiful beach. The snorkeling was good shallow so not amazing but the beach was terrific. The whole tour took about 5 hours. They are a smaller tour company so it is a little less organized at the start but the tour was great.

The driver was very knowledgable and a safe driver. But for the cost we could have could have taken a cab to the sights and the beach. We where able to use the equipment at the beach and we were given a 20 dollar credit for lunch.

Wonderful tour! Tyrone Wilson was very friendly and professional. Randy our driver was funny and knowledgeable. His driving will scare you a little, but we felt it added to the adventure. : The Rum Cake Factory had delicious cakes! The Graycliff Chocolate factory was alright. But our favorite was the pirate cave and the Nirvanna Love Beach! The little restaurant there had wonderful food!! Everyone was friendly and helpful and the beach was lovely! Unfortunately for us, it was too cold when we went so we chose not snorkel, but the reef comes right up to the beach area and you can walk and see all kinds of fish that are caught in the low water right there on land. I can only imagine the different types of fish we would have seen had we went into the water. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is planning on visiting Nassau!!! And ask for Randy as your driver....You won't regret it!! :
