Nassau City Tour

The private tour of Nassau was excellent. Our guide and driver (Mario) was very professional, he took the time to chat with us to understand our expectations of the tour and he delivered three fold. We were able to try the local delicaciey Conch at a local fish cleaning station in Nassau. Understand how cigars are manufactured, and rum cake is made. We saw many cites, beaches and where continually advised about the history these experiences were not on the other tour itineraries. We had lunch in one of the best restaurant in fish fry area. 5 out of 5 stars from me, a very enjoyable fun filled day. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wishing to experience the best of Nassau.

Monique, Taxi 22, was a GREAT tour guide. She brought my husband, daughter and I to the Queens staircase, tea shop, pirate museum and fort charlotte. I had to use a walker and she made sure that i was included in every activity as much as possible. She motivated me to do more. She also told us about the people of Nassau including her family, who had lived there for generations. She went above and beyond .We give our FULL endorsement!!!

Mario is an amazing guide, he took time to provide the history of each place, gave enough time to explore and very patiently took pictures of me at all places as I went on the tour by myself. Very good company and highly recommend

Mario was professional and friendly. Took us to our chosen spots in his clean and air conditioned vehicle, telling us about the sights and showing us some neighborhoods along the way. He recommended a restaurant at the Fish Fry for lunch (Curly's), where we had delicious conch fritters. A great experience, highly recommended!

This was a great time to privately see the Bahamas sites. We did the 2 hour but should have done the 4 hour. We saw the staircase, caves, museum and rum cake. It went by very fast. We are going to book more time before we leave this beautiful island.

Mario was awesome. He shared Bahamian history and culture that gave insight that we didn't know about. He also took pictures and told my family what to look for when we entered each historical site. My family saw how fishermen remove conch from the shell and they received a sample of a fried sample. We took scenic routes that showed neighborhoods and different landscape of Fort Charlotte and Nassau. We visited Caves of Historic Adelaide Village, Queens Staircase, Bahamas Rum Factory, and Fort Charlotte, plus more. We had great engaging conversations, history lessons, and we felt safe. Booking with Mario is a must.

10/10 tour with Mario! He fit in everything we wanted to see, and provided excellent commentary about the city and history throughout. Plus, there was unusual traffic, but he didn't let that take away from our time. Vehicle was very comfortable, especially nice when we were hot after the stops. He made sure we had photo opportunities, too. Super professional, and an excellent guide.

We just got back from our morning city tour of Nassau with Mario (“Kiki”). We had the best time! My daughter started off the morning a little tired and overstimulated from the excitement of our cruise, but Mario was very understanding and was able to bring up her (and our whole group’s) energy and enthusiasm. Mario was knowledgeable about Nassau and had great suggestions for the tour. We would highly recommend him to anyone coming to Nassau!

He told us some historical fact througout the tour and not only took us to the 4 site we chose but also did a quick stop at the beach so we can have a closer and took some pictures! Van was flawless!!! This was our first time in Nassau and we already want to go back!!!

Mario was most professional and informative of the Island. He was knowledgeable about the history, different areas, things of interest to see and do and very accommodating of adjusting the tour to meet the needs of guests. Friendly, a great communicator, and will show you the best of Nassau. You can swim with pigs or you can see the real Nassau and learn about its people, history and culture. Swim at the beach another time.

We had an incredible experience with Mario as our tour guide in Nassau. He truly went above and beyond—taking us anywhere we wanted to go, even beyond the standard options listed during booking. Mario was personable, knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating. No matter what we asked or mentioned wanting to do, he made it happen with ease and enthusiasm. If you’re visiting Nassau, I can’t recommend booking a tour with him enough—110% worth it!

We did a two hour city tour while on a cruise stop, and Mario was a great driver. We chose the queen’s staircase, the rum cake shop, the pirate museum, and the cave. He dropped us off at the queens staircase, where we tipped “Island Boy” to show us around and tell us the history. The samples at the rum cake store were good and we bought a few cakes. The line to get into the pirate museum was long but it was nice inside. We saw bats flying inside the cave, which the kids got a kick out of. It was a chilly and drizzly day, so we were happy to be in an enclosed vehicle and sightseeing around the island, since it was not a great beach day. Our kids (age 5 and 7) got a little bored on the drive, but my husband and I enjoyed it.

Mario was great and very informative! He allowed me to choose where I wanted to go so was able to spend more time in those spots.

Mario was an absolute joy as a tour guide! He was so knowledgeable and he adapted the tour to fit us perfectly. He was prompt with communications prior to the tour and we can not recommend him and this tour highly enough!

We were glad Mario was still waiting for our family of four even though we were delayed at the start of our tour. The vehicle was comfortable and we were glad to have air conditioning on a warm, sunny day. We went on the shorter tour and he suggested we include the Pirate Museum, so we decided to try it, even though we had been planning to skip that one; it turned out to be our favorite stop! We enjoyed our time in Nassau and appreciated the personalized service!

This was a fantastic tour! Mario did an excellent job of showing us the highlights of Nassau and we really enjoyed it. From taking us to see how you get the meat out of the conch shell, to the drive through different neighborhoods, to the straw market, the distillery and the rum cake factory, - it was all fantastic!! Mario was an incredible host for our tour of Nassau - he worked very hard to make sure we experienced exactly what we wanted and exceeded every expectation during our time together! His professionalism, knowledge base and attention to detail were very appreciated. We have some amazing memories of our time in the Bahamas thanks to his thoughtful and gracious nature.

Mario was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We did the 4 hour tour, which listed 7 stops, however with Clifton Heritage being quite far from the other spots, we did not have time for all of the stops in the 4 hours. We did Clifton Heritage, The Caves, Fort Charlotte, Queen’s Staircase, but skipped the distillery, rum cake factory and pirates museum. We also did add a stop at Jaws Beach though and drove around some of the more affluent communities in the area since we did drive father out to Clifton. I do think the itinerary should state the time restrictions and potential itinerary changes based on the stops chosen. Overall though, the tour was really fun and interesting and informative and I definitely recommend Mario as a personal tour guide!

We had a wonderful tour with Santina; a big thank you to her! She told us a lot of information about the Bahamas, and made sure that we got to see as much as possible during our 2 hour tour. We fit in time for conch fritters at the fish fry by stopping there briefly to put in an order, and then came back to pick it up on the way to our final drop-off. The van was very new, clean and comfortable, and it was so quiet that our guests in the back seat could hear Santina fine. We highly recommend this private tour if you have a group and want to customize your stops.

I highly recommend this tour! Mario is knowledgeable and friendly, and really well above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed ourselves. He also gave special attention in providing my son with a great history education at various sites and answered my many questions patiently. He's also an awesome photographer. We're thrilled we picked him as our guide.

Tour allows for a bit of customization as it is offered in a 2 or 4 hours format. For the 2 hours tour, you select 4 of 7 predetermined locales. We strongly recommend the Queen's Staircase and the Rum Cake Factory. Our tour guide, Santina, was simply Amazing! In today's world of AI, self-checkout kiosks, and impersonal customer interactions, Santina provided a customer-centric orientation that was 100% focused of exceeding her customers' expectations. She was articulate, engaging, extremely knowledgeable, efficient, and thoughtful. We shared with Santina that we had failed to experience authentic, Bahamian conch fritters. To our surprise and delight, she went above and beyond, and surreptitiously treated us to fritters from Mackenzie's on Potters Cay. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 hour tour with Santina who proved to be an Outstanding, unofficial ambassador for her homeland. We highly recommend this tour to experience a bit of history and charm of the Bahamas.

Great personalized and private tour of Nassau! If you like to explore when traveling, this experience is for you. It was a fun, non-beach activity and a great way to see the island. Mario is personable and knowledgeable — he narrated the tour as we drove along and answered all kinds of questions about Nassau and the islands. We were able to choose four sites to visit (there’s also a longer tour with up to seven stops), and we had plenty of time at each location to explore and learn. The car was clean and comfortable for our two couples. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to get off the resort and experience the history and culture of Nassau.

Nassau was an unplanned cruise port due to a tropical storm. The majority of the historically land mark are bordered up, closed or being refurbished. It offers beautiful water and a rich history, Its obvious the island has seen economic downturn and struggling. Royal Caribbean is installing a water oasis by the port which will help to drive revenue into the island.

Mario was very kind and took me on tour at the last minute because other tours I was trying to book canceled because of weather. Thankfully, Mario took the the time to show me all of the sites across the island.

This tour was perfect for our layover stop in Nassau. Mario was knowledgeable and flexible. We were able to pass on some things and ask for others and he made it happen. One of the highlights was lunch at his cousin’s restaurant. The sheep tongue souse, a Bahamian specialty, was delicious.

Wonderful guided tour of Nassau. Mario was amazing! Meet us at the departure point of the cruise ship and visited the highlights of Nassau in an ala carte fashion. We set the locations we wanted to see and avoided the tourist traps. You will love this arrangement. So much better than large groups! Mario is a native who knows everyone.
